With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Daigoro sighed, and looked around. The red-haired Shinigami was on patrol today, looking out for Hollows. Although it wasn't his job, usually, he'd had to take this as a punishment for some job that he'd screwed up. He sighed again, and kept walking along, hand at the ready on his zanpakuto. He'd really done the job badly. He'd even allowed himself to get knocked out. But Samuii...
Why did she have to interfere? If I'd defeated Samyeru... I'd have to have fought Samuii, and I refuse to do that unless forced. But... why do people see Arrancar as our enemies? Aizen is our only enemy, everybody else is an annoyance or an obstacle. He sighed again, and kept watching. He needed to keep vigilant.
But he just couldn't. There was something niggling him in the back of his mind. He couldn't place it, and it annoyed him. The the scream came, and it came close quickly. Daigoro's eyes snapped wide open, and he turned, drawing his zanpakuto and killing the Hollow, with a second to spare...
(OOC - I said no fighting... That was simply a way to show how distracted Dai is.)
A surge of energy was felt as another hollow had been killed. Franny frowned at the sight of losing her meal to a shinigami. The girl, a few meters away was still chasing her. She sighed; this wasn't a day she really wanted to fight. For the first time in a long time, Franny had been in her Hueco Mundo attire instead of her ‘blend in as a high school girl’ one. Her hair swung around like a tail as she kindly jumped over buildings without destroying them.
Franny leapt down, leveling herself with the shinigami, the only difference was that she was crouching on atop a short poll. “Hey you! Why’d you do that?! It isn’t nice to take someone else’s meal.” She said giving a ‘no no’ gesture with her finger. She glanced up and away, hearing the incoming footsteps. Giving a grin, she leapt off the poll landing around a meter away from the shinigami.
Rin ran faster and faster catching up to the troublesome arrancar. That particular arrancar had been known for causing damage to the city, and this annoyed her. She made a sigh that was half an agitated growl. “Come back here!” she yelled out. Rin saw the girl had jumped down from where she was and further ahead was another shinigami. “Who’s that?” she said to herself as she got closer.
“Well, looks like today’s game is over” Franny said out loud. Glancing back at Rin she smiled and made a small waving gesture. Then she looked back at the shinigami, and quickly just gave him a smile. “So sorry I can’t stay any longer” she said in a happy tone. A garganta formed above her and she disappeared.
Looking ahead, Rin had finally reached where the other girl was but unfortunately, she had left. She panted a little and bent down touching her knees. “Gosh darn that arrancar!” she said to herself and quickly snapped back up. She looked at the other shinigami, “So who are you?” she asked.
Daigoro blinked silently at the strange debacle that was unfolding before him, and tilted his head to the side. He sighed, and took a seat on a rock to watch, as it seemed that the other Shinigami had some sort of handle on it. He sighed, and re-sheathed his zanpakuto as the Arrancar was chased away through a Garganta. He looked up at the other Shingami and sighed again.
"Daigoro Ito. Lieutenant of the Second Division. I see that you had it under control..." He sighed again. She was chasing an Arrancar. He wondered if she was one of Aizen's lackeys, but shook it off. He really didn't care about that sort of thing. Even if it was supposed to be treason, he was the sort of person who avoided fighting Arrancar, out of sympathy. He smiled softly, and yawned.
"I'm guessing that you're simply out on a stroll?" He asked. If she wanted to tell him her name, she could.
Rin watched as the man told her his name and division. Then something about being under control, “Heh, I guess you could say that.” She said about the control and the little stroll. She walked closer to him and said, “Well, I’m Rin Hinote, of..um…” she trailed off and looked at the sky. She thought pretty hard but her division is what usually leaves her blank. “I guess my division isn’t really important, but I hold 3rd seat in it. So what are you doing around here?” she asked not recognizing him from anywhere.
She waited for a response while simultaneously thinking about the Arrancar that she was chasing. Franny Shiroi, she thought as her picture came vivid in her mind. Rin had aloud her to escape again knowing full well that she would return. She hasn’t caused any real trouble when it came to eating souls and other shinigami. The matter of fact is that she was eating others of her own kind. This bothered Rin for that was an odd thing to her. Rin didn’t know much about Arrancars, but she knew that they had to be enemies. A little snicker came from her side where her zanpakuto lay. She sort of scowled but tried to not make a big deal about her spirit’s mocking.
Daigoro sighed and shook his head. He really didn't understand her motives for chasing that Arrancar.
"Me? I'm on patrol. A punishment for my own stupidity in a previous mission. All because I left morals behind..." He sighed again, and looked towards the girl. Why did she chase them? Did she just automatically see them as an enemy? Or was there another reason...
"And you. That Arrancar you were chasing. Why were you chasing her?" He asked, curious now. Daigoro was no traitor. But he didn't appreciate people who attacked other races for the sake of genocide. He sighed again, and yawned, before turning around, thoughts still on the female Arrancar who had saed his life, all that time ago.
“Hmm… On patrol because of stupidity; that sure sounds familiar…” she said remembering how whenever she got in trouble she’d be more likely locked in a room. Rin smiled at her thought at her first time back in the Human World. From her new discoveries of herself to being detained for her own safety. She chuckled at the thought.
Rin looked at Diagoro, and even though he was a fellow Shinigami, his questions made her think. “Well, to answer that question, let’s just say she’s been turning into a pretty popular scene around these parts. I’ve seen her various times, yet I don’t understand why she returns and does what she does. She’s a strange one; let’s just keep it at that. I’m sure you’ll eventually meet her at some point in time, then you’ll see for yourself what she’s capable of” she told him as she thought of the wild girl.
It wasn’t the first time she saw her around, and Rin was sure that it wouldn’t be her last. She looked up at the sky and wondered about the strange arrancar, ‘What is that girl up to?’ she thought to herself not sure on anything now. She always thought that hollows and arrancars were to be terminated because they were a threat to other souls.
Rin sighed then looked back at Diagoro, “So… anything else you need to know? You seem fond of arrancars, if I’m not mistaken. Especially since you didn’t do anything to at least stop the girl and all. I mean, aren’t we supposed to rid of any hollow like creature? Aren’t they supposed to be a threat to all souls?” she said and wondered about those questions in her head.
Samuii lounged in a tree, something she found herself doing more often. One leg dangling off the branch she was sitting on, she sighed and looked at the blue sky, visible between the gaps in the leaves.
Blowing a strand of hair away from her face, she snapped a branch off and twirled it around her fingers. God, she was bored today. She wasn't feeling like causing chaos, and, well, that really was the only thing she could think of doing on her spare time. She growled as she snapped the twig in half, and then threw them off the tree.
Just then, a familiar reiatsu appeared. The arrancar sat up and peeked around the trunk and saw, of all people, Goroko, standing there, looking like an idiot. She shook her head, almost slapping her forehead when the hollow attacked him. And then, just as she was about to make her presence known, another arrancar ran past, chased by a Vizard. Yeah, it was definitely a vizard.
The two began to talk, and Samuii felt like eavesdropping on the two. Hopping over to another branch, one that provided a better view, she lay on her stomach, her right arm and leg dangling over the branch like a cat, and listened in on the conversation. Oh, she'd make herself known sooner or later...preferably later. Besides, the Vizard looked like the type that saw all arrancars as enemies. Samuii didn't really want to get into a fight right now.
Daigoro smiled softly. She obviously didn't see things from his point of view after all... He smirked.
"Since you don't have the view on life that I do, I'll explain it. I... have never seen Arrancar as my enemy. My job is to destroy Hollows. Arrancar are not completely Hollow. Which means that I don't really mind them. My enemy is the leader of the Espada. if they attack me, I will fight back. But other than that, I will leave them be." He smirked, and thought back to the first time he and Samuii had met.
"That, and I owe my life to an Arrancar. She could've left me to die... And yet she helped me to survive. Hell, I guess that I've..." Daigoro shook his head. That much was too private for him to say to some random Vizard. He sighed, and yawned, before opening his eyes slightly wider. No.
What are you doing here? I can tell that you're somewhere nearby... He'd just felt that familiar Reiatsu.
Rin sighed at Diagoro’s response, things seemed different with him when it came to Arrancars. She shrugged not really caring but thinking on how pathetic some people were. ‘Was it really a good idea to join the Soul Society? I’m still not sure if I like anyone that I’ve met so far, well… I guess my drinking buddy isn’t so bad, but everyone else is pretty much messed up. Sheesh’ she thought to herself getting a little agitated with everyone’s different opinion.
‘He owes an arrancar? How odd. And why does he think I don’t view life the same? I was just saying what I was once told, man humanity is a messed up case of life itself. But here I am, just got done trying to catch an arrancar and now I wonder why I was even chasing her in the first place’ she though. Everything seemed a little too odd to her. If hollows were the enemies, and arrancars were basically hollows who got stronger and gained personalities, then why would what she say be wrong. Rin sighed again as her thoughts got more complicated.
“What’re you talking about? I only asked if they were a basic threat, I didn’t say something on how we should destroy them because of what they are. To tell you the truth, I really could care less.” Rin ended and sighed again. ‘Shinigami, Hollows, Arrancars, and Vizards. Aren’t we vizards somewhat the same?’ she thought and sighed again. So much thinking and sighing, Rin sighed again.
Samuii shook her head as she continued to listen in on Daiji and the Vizard girl's conversation. She raised an eyebrow when he mentioned that one time so long ago. Really? He still remembered that?
She tilted her head as he trailed off after saying 'I've...' He what now?
When the vizard said her reply, the red-haired arrancar shook her head slightly. To be honest, for some reason, she didn't like her. There was something off-putting about that vizard. Or maybe it was just something superficial. Samuii didn't notice it, but she began to leak out her reiatsu, forgetting the fact that she was supposed to be secretly eavesdropping on the two in the first place.
"Oh, shit," she said, realizing that her reiatsu began to leak, and tried to compress it at much as possible. But, knowing Gorono, he probably already knew she was there.
