The man was about to answer his captain's question when the man beside him simply cut in, causing him to blink several times. That was odd, was he not leader of the Discipline squad? How the hell could someone lead that if they let everything run amuck?
He suddenly felt very sorry for those that guarded the Maggot's Nest.
"Eh... Daigoro-sama..." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "I'm afraid I don't follow, if you let things run wild, won't the Maggot's Nest be overrun due to anarchy?"
"I believe I may be running into the same problem as Kira-sama and his squad." Kamair turned his attention back to his captain, "Having kept his squad together for so long, Kira-sama has proven to have quite capable skills. However, without a captain to his division, sole responsibility has fallen solely on himself to lead his division, many believe he may not have leadership qualities that are needed."
"The Omnitsukido seems to function in quite the same way." Kamair analyzed briefly, "as to us, you could be considered the Sotaichou. I just don't think that people have faith in my leadership qualities, if they even exist, that's all."
Turning back to his food, the former servant began to neatly eat his food once more.

Soifon watched Daigoro as he spoke, then her gaze went to Kamair as he spoke.
Kamair's words made sense, but she had no disruptions form Daigoro's squad so she didn't feel the need to make Daigoro's life more difficult in reprimanding him, then Kamair spoke his analysis, and that certainly grabbed her attention, and she frowned at him. What exactly was he saying? Squad 2 had a captain, a Vice captain, and his own Onmitsukido division had him to lead... Was he criticizing her position of not being active in the commanding of the squads under her? Her eyes narrowed a bit.
"Let me get this straight," she began, "Am I correct in the notion that you feel that my leadership position is failing because you cannot command your squad effectively?" she asked flatly as she stared at him. She managed to hold her temper, but only just. Heaven help him if she were correct, though.
Still, she still questioned her old methods. Even with the recent batch of underlings, could she maintain her style? That train of thought remained in her head ever since Omaeda was killed, but she loathed to put it to use. She hoped she did not have to, in fact, but maybe if they needed her help, she should oblige...

During the late part of the conversation Sayuri walked into the office carrying a stack of papers at her side under her arm. They were not meant to be done by Soifon, it was more simple administrative filtering the girl was doing fulfilling her role as the Vice-Captain. Idling listening to them as they spoke catching what she could, she organized the papers on Soifon's desk trying her best to remain out of the way. Mission reports, duty rosters, request forms, files of that ilk Sayuri made certain to keep maintained and organized so her Captain could focus on other more important duties demanded of a Captain. It was becoming a little clear, since Sayuri's meeting with Nanao Ise, a little bit of Nanao's orderly manner had rubbed off on the little kunoichi.
But with last few words spoken between the three, Sayuri paused after having finished the meager amount of administrative duties she had for the day, and also making certain Soifon was not bothered with any herself while she had some time off at long last. She bowed politely as a form of silent apology for stepping into the conversation between the three not meaning to intrude, "I think there is a issue and misnomer that many miss when it comes to leading a Division or Command."
Sayuri glanced about the office briefly, it was mostly a stall to gather and organize her own thoughts before speaking, "To lead is not to hold everyone's hand. By listening to Daigoro-san and Kamair-san, it makes it sound as if leading is the equivalent of babysitting. A leader gives an order and it is done - when Soi-sama gives an order, whether it be out of fear, respect, duty, or all of the above - it is not questioned - it is done. That is leading. A babysitter runs around coddling, nursing, corralling - if you find yourself doing this - then you are no leader, just a babysitter for children to pester. There are different methods of leading, but in all cases if the leader is doing more work than the subordinates to keep order within the Division, then they are a babysitter, not a leader. It is not meant for a Captain or Commander to hold the subordinates' hands, a leader delegates, the subordinates act upon the delegations given to them - if a subordinate cannot fulfill the delegation, than the subordinate is a failure and the leader fails for relying upon an unworthy subordinate. But also, with no order or leadership within the Command or Division - it is merely either broken, ineffective or a failure."
The little kunoichi blinked a couple times realizing she spoke a bit much, she bowed her head apologetically once again, "I said a bit much.", she then turned to Soifon, a little bit of color appearing on her cheeks, and she knew it and cursed herself inwardly for still getting like this around her, "I finished a bit more filing, Soi-sama. You will not have to concern yourself with them while on your hiatus.", Sayuri informed her Captain and bowed her head to Soifon once again.

Daigoro opened his eyes again, and sighed. I think that I may have said this wrong... Either that, or Kamair took it the wrong way. He looked over at Kamair. "You may be right about Kira, but wrong about me. Just because I let them do as they wish, does not mean that the Maggot's Nest will go wild. If I let it go that way, it would be my own fault. The men that I lead are completely and utterly loyal to me, and if they disobey any rule, are quickly reprimanded. To be completely honest, nothing ever gets to Captain Soifon over there. She has enough on her plate, as it is."
He then looked at Sayuri, just as she began comparing him and Kamair to babysitters. "If you really believe that we are similar to babysitters, then you are sorely mistaken. We may rely on our subordinates to do more work than us, but if we do that too much, we will be seen as lazy, and unworthy of our position in leadership. That is the premise that you will receive. And besides, some work is better done by a leader, while some is better done by a subordinate, and if you cannot tell the difference, then you have no place as a leader of a group of people, especially members of the Omnitsukido..."

"Eh?" Kamair blinked, had she taken that as an insult? Well, perhaps he had phrased that wrong. He took the opportune moment to choke on his food.
"G-Gomen Nasai!" Kamair blurted out, "That was definitely not what I was implying! The blame is all mine, in the situation, I just didn't want it to be a bother to you, Soifon-sama."
Beating his hand against his chest a couple times, the man effectively cleared out his throat of the intruding particles of food. "It had nothing to do with your way of leadership, s-sorry if it came out this way."
It was days like these that he wished he was still just another face in the crowd.
"Oh, Ohaiyo, Sayuri-san." Kamair waved and smile slightly at the division's new vice-captain. What had happened to the old one, anyways? Somehow... he couldn't quite recall.
Maggot's Nest perhaps?
"But if they do what they wish... that means things go wild." Kamair pointed out to Daigoro, seeing his statement as somewhat of an oxymoron. After all, how could you discipline without order? "Basic concepts of Anarchy..."
That, or something god-like and miraculous had happened with his division and all were fully well-trained and disciplined... which he highly doubted was possible.

Soifon honestly hadn't paid complete attention to the words Sayuri, and Daigoro spoke. She wasn't used to long speeches, and she, herself sought to refrain from them.
She took a small, cleansing breath then chewed some salmon sushi calmly, and enjoyed the flavor, then inserted some wisdom in the form of, "Maintain order, and discipline. As long as there is order, the underlings should have some autonomy. If they step out of line, hammer upon them until they get back in order, which should be rare, if ever if discipline is instilled," Words, Soifon followed, though she took it fairly literal, in that she was not afraid to hammer her fists into someone's face if they got out of line.
She took the time to sip some tea daintily, and left the platters of food available to anyone who wished to partake. Granted they were intended as a meal for one, and a little more, but there was enough for a snack, and she could always send for more.
Despite her peaceful dining, she remained somewhat cold as she watched them. It wasn't that she wanted them to leave, but, well, she had a reputation to maintain, at the least. Even if it was among her top seated officers.

Sayuri could not help but look at Daigoro as though he were partly mentally disabled, he misunderstood nearly every word she said, and then gave his own example of leadership which ran along the lines precisely to what she had already said. Furthermore, he even wound up contradicting what he said prier, and then did so once again shortly after when he stated essentially what Sayuri already stated herself - it was all very odd to her. With an arched brow and dull gaze she just stared momentarily at him pondering if he simply lacked organized thought, or maybe he just did not know what the hell he was saying, or maybe just lacked intelligence on top of being a poor listener, or perhaps - all of the above.
The little kunoichi opened her mouth to say something, but then decided to not bother thinking if she gets wordy again he will respond with some other nonsensical reply. With that a sudden blinding swift high kick at Daigoro's jaw was launched. She attempted the diplomatic method via reason she learned from Nanao about leadership, but now she felt it best to take page from Soifon's book on leadership. Failure to listen and understand equates being made to listen and understand.
In regards to her subordinates, Sayuri took on a method of leading that was a blend of what she had learned from both Nanao and Soifon. When she makes a statement, she ABCs the reasoning, that way it is impossible for the subordinate to make an excuse they did not understand, and if they display they do not - then she instantly views them as a poor subordinate. At which time, Sayuri adopts Soifon's methods, which is essentially crushing the subordinate's skull until they learn to pay attention to her words.

Daigoro simply blinked as the kick was launched at his jaw. He sighed, before simply catching it with his right hand, her toes touching his chin. He shook his head, before putting her foot back onto the ground. "Sayuri, Sayuri, Sayuri. I may be a subordinate of yours, but that does not give you permission to kick me with a possibly lethal strike in a possibly lethal place, especially in the office of our dear captain. If you want to fight, we can take it outside..." Daigoro's right hand began to crackle as he said this, it was now an unconcious reaction, almost autonomous, that began to happen when he began to become even slightly agitated. But, he retained his peace of mind and spoke again.
"You're probably thinking something of the lines about me being mentally inferior, but I'll let you in on a secret. I never tell the complete truth. Half of what I say is designed to confuse, and it's how I keep myself alive during questioning. So I do not blame you for being confused. But I do blame you for attacking me. It is acceptable for Captain Soifon, but for nobody else." Daigoro's hand crackled even louder, and white lightning began to flow around it.
NO. I will not let you do this, Ookami. I will be fine without it.
Hmph.
The lightining faded again, and Daigoro sighed. It really was not his day. And the seal was beginning to grow a mind of it's own...

"H-hai, Soifon-sama." Kamair stuttered, it looked as if today would not be the day for him to die. He did; however, raise an eyebrow at the sight of Sayuri attacking Daigoro, but did little to stop it. Heck, he wouldn't have been able to do anything if Sayuri really got serious.
Aside from die, that is.
Catching her foot with a palm, perhaps that could be seen as impressive; however, it didn't take long for Kamair's analytical mind to realize that Sayuri hadn't be serious in the least bit.
After all, the kunoichi's movements were damn near impossible to read when she was really going at it. He shuddered at the memory of their spar.
Well, it had taught him a lesson, that was for sure.
Daigoro's reaction only caused the man to raise his eyebrow higher, was he really thinking about counterattacking? The third seat had to have some sort of deathwish.
Perhaps he underestimated their vice-captain?
Well, regardless, it would be interesting to see this play out. That is, if their mistress didn't put an end to it right there and then.
For now, Kamair would continue to eat. Ooh! A California Roll!

Soifon raised a brow at the tussle between Sayuri, and Daigoro, then planted her palm on the table making a surprisingly loud noise without damaging the table. It was like a gunshot. "Sayuri," she said sharply, "Explain why you lashed out at Daigoro if he does not understand," she said without anger, yet she was stern, but that was the extent of things. It was obvious, usually, why she smacked the hell out of a person, but, "It's best to make sure the subordinate knows why it is they are being punished." It was her own fault for not making that clear, so she would not be angry at Sayuri for it. She decided to let Sayuri figure out how hard she should hit people.
Her cold eyes then went to Daigoro, "Your training must have taken poorly if you make a habit of attempting to confuse your own teammates, never mind your Vice Captain. You'll cease that habit immediately," she spoke in the same tone she used on Sayuri as if she favored neither one or the other, "Speak clearly, or not at all."
"Further, Daigoro, while I respect your desire to not be struck, you should learn to accept the reprimands of your superior in rank as you would expect any subordinate of yours to," she explained calmly a harsh reality. While Yoruichi-sama rarely beat her, her verbal barbs could hurt just as much. "Taking the bite out of punishments will only lead towards further disobedience as punishments become ineffectual," she added plainly, with a frown, and resisted the impulse to smack Daigoro herself.
"If you two want to settle this matter in combat, then we'll go to the training grounds," she said calmly, "I will not object to it, but it will not be a battle to the death," she said seriously. The last thing she needed was animosity in her seated officers. It was best to let them vent as opposed to let it build up as far as she were concerned. She was aware of the risks, but it'd do more to let out any pent up anger than to let it stew. Of course, she left it up to them. Far be it for her to seem like a monster and force people who did not deserve it to fight. Still, she was certain this would help drill in some respect.
