The Sun and the Mask

Ryuuken Ishida hadn't been lying when he told his son that there wasn't any profit in being a Quincy. Key word being wasn't. Past tense. Things changed drastically after the battle above Karakura, and Aizen's inevitable death. The effects of so many spiritually powerful warriors gathered in one spot changed the face of the world as we know it. People began to see. People are now aware. The Japanese government, unable to understand just what they were dealing with, turned to a man that did. Ryuuken Ishida. With the overwhelming support of the UN, especially the United States, Japan, England, France, and Russia; the Blue Sun Corporation was formed. A world funded organization, teaching soldiers how to fight against Shinigami and Hollows, as well as become a new apprenticeship for Quincy. At its head, sits Ryuuken Ishida, aiming to take revenge on the ones who destroyed his people. When Aizen left for Karakura, he took his top four Espada; Stark, Barragan, Halibel, and Ulquiorra. When Ichigo barged into the throne room of Los Noches, he was confronted by Yammy. Ichigo made quick work of the lumbering brute, and took Orihime. Meanwhile in Karakura, the battle began to sway in the Espada's favor once their leaders joined the fight. Unfortunately, Aizen fell to the combined firepower of Toshirou Hitsugaya, Momo Hinamori, and Kisuke Urahara. After Aizen's defeat, the only Espada that truly wished to stay and fight was Barragan, who was dispatched by Shaolin Fon. The 3 remaining Espada, left; Stark taking an extremely wounded Halibel with him. Aizen's two co-conspirators had two very different fates. While Kaname Tousen was killed in battle, Gin quietly snuck away after Aizen's death. It's at this point, Shinji's Vizards enter Hueco Mundo and turn off the anti-gargantua field Aizen put in place, allowing everyone trapped there safe passage to Earth. Gin arrived in Los Noches shortly after it had been cleared out, finding the Hougyoku hidden in Aizen's own quarters. The last Espada to not go into hiding, Grimmjow Jaegerjaques wakes up in the sands of Los Noches. Unknowingly healed by Retsu Unohanna at Ichigo Kurosaki's request. Taking off towards Gin's reitsu, he finds the fox faced man. After Gin explains what happened, he gives Grimmjow an offer the Sexta can't refuse. More power, and his own Espada to command. Unable to deny Gin, the two set off into the bowels of Hueco Mundo to track down the Vasto Lorde, attempting to build an unstoppable army. A long the way, Grimmjow receives extra exposure to the Hogyouku, making him as strong as his old Primera. Meanwhile, Shinji and his group discover that they were not the first. Millions of years prior, before the noble houses had even stopped warring, there had been Vizards. These Vizards were considered "True Vizards" by their peers, having been born with the mask. Eventually the True Vizards were chased off, nearly wiped out due to the fear and prejudice of the Shinigami. The bitter and betrayed masked warriors wet into hiding for millenia, creating small communities across the globe and rebuilding their shattered race. They see all Vizard that weren't born with a mask as an insult to their kind, and kill them on site. Upon first encounter with what is now known as the Vizard Stealth Division (VSD), a majority of Shinji's own people were killed. The survivors retreated to their warehouse, warning Urahara of the true Masked Army.

Sage hadn't realized he had brought the female shinigami along the ride. He suddenly felt a pain in his shoulder. Sage took the famale's hand away from his shoulder. Sage then saw the bakudo surround him. "Bakudo 21: Sekienton" and as Sage said these words there was a explosion as a white smoke came around the area. When it cleared Sage 20 feet away from Akio and Ikazuchi. "Show me your power, so called lightning queen". Sage then sent a large yellow lightning bolt at Akio.

Ningai came from the gate finishing his mission and looking forward to a quiet meditation. As he walked through the gate he thought he'd see a peaceful scene of Soul Society, but instead saw something like a battle field. Three Shinigami were fighting each other, two men one woman. He recognized Sage as being one with his division, the other man seemed to have taken some damage and the woman was holding her own. then Ningai saw the lightning toward the other shinigami man. Ningai flashed step in front of the man, drew his sword, "Flicker in the night, Kitsune eki Hime!" it engulfed it in blue fire and slammed it in the ground. With his hand still on his staff,

"Hado no11. Tsuzuri Raiden."

Letting it go, and caused an electrical current attracting Sage's lightning to his staff, having it go through the staff in the ground.

Akio raised his zampakuto, trying to mitigate the damage of the attack, though it didn't work well. It exploded when it hit Kusari Gaika, sending the yellow haired shinigami flying, though he held on to his polearm tightly.
He tumbled a few feet away, then stabbed both blades into the ground to stop himself, flipping over and hitting the ground. He got up, holding his left side. It was slightly burned from the lightning, but he got up through it.
"Hey!" he yelled at Sage and the others, steadying himself, "I appreciate the help, but I need to beat this guy myself!"

Ikazuchi looked at Akio. "No, you don't have to beat him or at least not here." she growled in annoyance. Hadn't he got the message either. "You take things like that to the arena, you don't fight by the senkaimon incase you accidently hit someone coming through the gate or something." She sheathed her zanpakutoh and resealed it. "Now get out of here and finish your fight in the arenas...thats what they are for."

"I understand". Sage put his zanpakuto away."Akio I suggest you leave this area because our fight is over. Sage gave a look to everyone near the Senkai gate. He recognized the 5th seat of his squad Ningai.He then began to walk away from the shinigami who had gathered there.

Ningai looked at Sage as he put his sword away. He couldn't help but feel relived that Sage decided to end this fight. He only hoped that the other man would be as controlled. Ningai pick up his staff and had it back in it's sealed state.

Akio sat down from exhaustion and resealed his sword. It looked like the fight was over, but he wasn't going to give up on something.
"Pff, fine, we'll call it a draw..." the shinigami said, panting slightly heavily. The truth was, he was incredibly frustrated with himself, he had been beaten so easily. And this guy said he even had a bankai. He was a damn 5th seat, for God's sake, and this was all he had to fight with.
Kusari, is this all we got? he said in his subconscoius. After a short silence, the shinigami heard a solitary "no".
