With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Trigekke saw the look in his opponents eyes and he was slightly relieved that it wasnt himself that time with that worried look. His opponent regained his composure and shunpoed, causing Trigekke to reflexively step into a defense stance and look for his opponent. The sound of cloth flapping in the wind caught Trigekke's attention as he looked up to see his opponent spinning like a top. Trigekke smiled briefly before jabbing his staff straight up at his opponent just as he brought his sword around."Im sorry but mine is longer," he said with a smile on his face.
If his opponent was to attempt to bypass the staff the trigekke would smack him like he would if they were level. If his opponent shunpoes then Trigekke will stab his staff in the ground causing green flames to erupt from the ground in all direction for 30 yards and 2 yards up. If his opponent backs off then Trigekke will launch a dark green and black fireball, that is the size of a grapefruit and travels at intense speeds, from the end of his staff that, upon inpact with any solid material, will hit with such force that even high rank shinigami would be hurt a considerable amount.
Is what you are doing what you really want to be doing? Be you not them.
Zaru felt his blade connect with the end of the long spear. He landed on his feet and jumped backwards to get out of range of the Trigekke's zanpakuto. Zaru raised his index and middle finger of his right hand and pointed at Trigekke but before he could mutter an incantation, he saw his opponent launch a green and black fireball out of one end of his zanpakuto. Zaru stepped to his right and twisted his body to narrowly avoid the fireball but as it passed he felt its extreme heat. It singed his mask and his shinigami uniform and Zaru hesitated for a second to recover. He then lifted his fingers again and pointed them at Trigekke. "Hado number four, Byaku-" Zaru then flash stepped to Trigekke's left and shouted, "-rai!" A flash of white lightning erupted from Zaru's fingers and sped towards Trigekke....
Zaru pointed his fingers at Trigekke and, before he could finish, shunpoed next to Trigekke and fired white lightning at him. Just as his opponent appeared the white jagged line thickened and thinned before ripping itself out of Trigekke's hand and planting itself in the path of the lightning. The staff acted like a lightning rod and absorbed the electricity as sparks could be seen running its length.
"You need to be more careful," Nagiggetsu said to Trigekke. "You could have been electricuted if I hadnt of interveined."
"Im sorry," Trigekke said aloud as he grabbed the staff with both hands. His apoligetic face became serious as he forced the staff deeper into the ground with a large amount of force, causing the earth to crack and dark green and black flames erupted from the ground, aiming at the opponent in a 30 yard radius and a 10 yard height.
Is what you are doing what you really want to be doing? Be you not them.
Zaru watched his kido being attracted to the grounded staff which seemed to move out of his opponent's hand without provocation from Trigekke himself. Perhaps his zanpakuto's spirit, it doesn't matter. A lightning rod is going to be difficult to fight against... Zaru thought to himself. Zaru then saw Trigekke drive his staff deeper into the ground which began to crack. Zaru jumped into the air reflexively but was scorched by the green flames that erupted from the earth beneath him. Zaru jumped higher into the air before the flames could completely engulf him but his legs had been burnt. Zaru was happy to see his opponent was strong but also angered that he had made such a mistake.
Zaru then switched his grip on his zanpakuto so the blade was pointing behind Zaru. He moved his zanpakuto in front of him and angled it upward. He placed his left hand at the top of the blade and let it pass over the blade and passed the hilt. The blade glowed yellow and transformed into a wide lightning bolt shape 2'9" long. A blade shaped the same way extended out of the other end of the now straight, yellow and sliver striped hilt. The hilt, one foot long, combined with the blades to make the entire zanpakuto 6 and a half feet long. As he passed his hand over the blade, his reiatsu spiked greatly, a boom like thunder erupted from nowhere, and he shouted, "Spark, Raijin!". Zaru raised his zanpakuto and pointed one end at Trigekke. "Looks like it's become a battle of lenght." Zaru said with a smile. He flash stepped with greater speed than before in front of his opponent and brought one end of his zanpakuto from his bottom-right diagonally upward across Trigekke's torso...
Trigekke pulled his staff out of the ground and set it down as he watched his opponent ascend above the fiery tongues of the black and green flames. His opponent motioned as if gathering reitsu in his weapon and Trigekke instantly knew what was to come. "Looks like the butt kicking is about to start," he sighed to himself.
"You should have more confidence in your abilities. You have progressed a great deal since your graduation of the academy." Nagigetsu said.
"Who said it was I who's butt was to be kicked? My opponent is very strong true but I have seen people overcome insermountable odds as well." Trigekke said in a confident tone.
A flash and a loud boom that caused Trigekke's robes to ripple and flutter agaisnt the pressure was the sign of his opponent releasing his blade. Trigekke used his free hand to keep his sunglasses from flying off his face. A wide grin could be seen creasing his face as his opponent mentioned lengths and it was ironic after his earlier mentioning of how his blade was longer. "Jynxed myself," he said in a mocking tone as he readied himself for the oncoming attack.
His opponent flash stepped behind him and came sweeping up with a diagonal slash across his back. The gem's stripe widened and the staff forced Trigekke to twist backwards as the staff interviened against his opponents attack. Trigekke took the momentum of the staff to come across with a punch to his opponent's gut with his left hand before leaping back into a more even position.
"Lightning based shikai, now thats just great," he complained to himself. "As long as im holding my staff I am a walking lightning rod." Trigekke began to spin his staff in his right hand like a baton and the tip of the staff ignited in a green flame. He shot a fireball just above his opponent and took a few steps before gripping his staff in both hands and and slamming it in the ground causing a wave of green and black flames to come rushing foward at his opponent, 30 yards across and 10 yards high.

Zaru felt his now large zanpakuto make contact with Trigekke's staff, which once again seemed to move by itself. Trigekke then threw a punch towards Zaru's stomach but Zaru leapt backwards to avoid the strike. Zaru had never been the least bit skilled at hand-to-hand combat. He was strong and could throw a punch but had hardly any sense of tai-jutsu or martial arts. Zaru then saw his opponent spinning his staff around in his hand and one end ignite in a green and black fire. Zaru, watched the flaming end of the zanpakuto, and then remembered what had happened last time he had seen it. A fireball erupted from the flaming end of the spear and Zaru fell on all fours to avoid the attack, just barely. Once again he felt the heat of the fireball above him and it singed the top of his mask and his back slightly. Zaru then saw Trigekke plunge his staff into the earth again and remembered what had happened last time he'd seen that. Zaru pushed with all four of his limbs and leaped high into the air to avoid the rising flames. Zaru hesitated in the air for a moment from the heat of the green and black flames beneath them. He then regained his composure and stood straight, looking down at his opponent from above.
"How will you fight in the air? I'm beginning to grow used to that fireball attack and your ground attack won't reach me up here so what are you going to do now?" Zaru said with a smile on his face.
Zaru then pointed one end of his zanpakuto at Trigekker and began charging reiatsu into the blade causing it to glow pure yellow. After 5 seconds, Zaru shouted, "Raikyoshou!". A large, yellow, continuous blast of lightning mixed with Zaru's reiatsu shot from his zanpakuto towards Trigekke...
(OoC: The Raikyoshou has two versions. The one I just described which takes a few seconds to charge and is slower but is much more powerful than the other form. The other form requires hardly any charging and is much faster but relatively weaker than the first form. Think of the quick/weaker Raikyoshou as a bala and the slower/strong Raikyoshou as a cero. Also, the Q/W version is one blast, also like the bala, and the S/S version is continuous as mentioned, sort of like a cero. And last but not least, both are yellow.)
Lightning shot from the end of Zarus weapon and flew at such an immense speed that it caught Trigekke off gaurd. Trigekke thinking at the last minute threw his staff directly at the lightning with such emence strength that he threw even himself off balance. The staff flew up and started to absorb the lightning or atleast to prevent it from continuing further. The staff was flying at zaru, now a large lightning rod sparkying yellow and with green and black flames streaming off from the tip of the staff.
(Flames dont do anything I added them because they sound cool and it really adds to the scene )
Is what you are doing what you really want to be doing? Be you not them.
(OoC: I like the flames . For now we'll just say that the raikyoshou i launched a post ago was the Q/W version and therefore fast but not incredibly strong. That way it fits your description and your attack/defense will have more of an impact)
Zaru saw his blast about to make contact with Trigekke but at the last second he saw him throw his staff at the blast. The zanpakuto collided with the blast and surged through it with reiatsu and green and black fire surrounding it. Zaru watched the spear and timed a swing of his zanpakuto to hit the spear before it hit Zaru. The two zanpakuto collided and Zaru felt great force behind it. He followed through with his strike and let it fly back to its owner (Assuming thats what happens). "You took care of that one. How about 20 of them?" Zaru said stearnly. He then flash stepped 20 yards to Trigekke's right and fired another Raikyoshou (Q/W) at his opponent. Zaru then flash stepped into the air above and behind Trigekke and fired another. He repeated the move over and over again sending blast after blast of lightning and reiatsu speeding towards his opponent's location.
(Ok cool, and yes that would look really awsome especially if the staff started to turn yellow from all the electricty charging it up.)
His opponent swung at the staff and deflected it back, but when he flashed to release lightning, The staff changed course and intercepted the blast. The staff moves at a speed just under flash step and act like it has a mind of its own as it moves closer to Trigekke and starts spinning around him to absorb all the lightning. The staff was now shining yellow as it became more and more charged with electricity and the green flames started to die down. When Zaru was done, the staff plants its self uinto the ground as the sparks start to die down with the passing of the elcetric current. Trigekke gave it a moment before reaching to grab the staff.
"You must have an impressive amount of reitsu to be able to fire so many shots off at once. I am inpressed," Trigekke said as he proped the staff on his shoulder. "Its just unfortunate that your fighting an opponent with a mobile lightning rod. Good thing fire isnt bound be such physics." Trigekke pointed his staff and fired a black and emerald fireball. Trigekke would then follow up with firing 4 more fireballs as he dashes in to engage his opponent at close quaters, making sure not to get close enough for his opponent to potentially zap him with an electric based strike.
Is what you are doing what you really want to be doing? Be you not them.
Zaru watched in interest and anger as the spear spun around and moved at incredibly high speeds, intercepting all of Zaru's Raikyoshous. It planted itself in the ground and the sparks from Zaru's attacks faded away. Zaru watched Trigekke grab the staff and mention something about fire and physics. Zaru wasn't listening intently, he had to think of something to do to counteract his opponent's lightning rod-like weapon. Before Zaru could think for long, Trigekke launched four more fireballs at him. Zaru raised his blade and fired two Q/W Raikyoshous with great precision to stop the first two fireballs but as Trigekke moved closer while firing the next two, Zaru decided to not risk missing and dived to his right to avoid the third fireball. He felt the heat of it and decided to shunpo higher into the air to avoid the fourth fireball.
At that moment, Zaru realized something and formed an idea. The Q/W Raikyoshous he had been firing up until now were fast and required hardly any charging because they were mostly pure electricity and were barely mixed with Zaru's own reiatsu. That made them easily attracted to the "lightning-rod". "Only one solution for that then." Zaru said with a smile. Zaru then leaned forward high in the air and began to descend in a dive towards Trigekke. He made sure he had some sort of control over his descent in case of more green and black fireballs. Once he had closed around one half of the distance between where he was and where his opponent stood, Zaru twisted his body so he was falling feet first and then began charging reiatsu into his zanpakuto. He then shunpoed and 20 yards behind Trigekke and shouted, "Raikyoshou!!". A large, coninuous blast of yellow lightning, mixed heavily with Zaru's reiatsu, erupted from his zanpakuto. The blast was slower than the previous blasts but was much much longer and more powerful as well and it was headed straight towards Trigekke. Zaru hoped his plan would work and the lightning-rod would not be able to stop the attack....
