With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

Kobato watched as the skirmish between the 5th squad captain and the other shinigami quickly ended. He began listening as the captain spoke again. She said,"Heading straight in for an attack is not always the best course of action". Kobato thought over that for a minute, but decided that speed was his only friend in that department. He wasn't a very good kido user and using his speed to rush into an attack worked so far.
After his this quick thought he started to pay attention to what the captain was saying although he came in a little late on the lecture. Evaluate your opponent... Find out their weaknesses... He thought these things over as well and finally came to the conclusion that this may be the best thing to do in any fight as looks could be deceiving.

(I thought it was Haru's post, but i've been informed its me. If this is wrong I apologise)
Areno stood there listening carefully to the captain's words. Evalutate opponent, find weaknesses, work as a team, run when you have no hope of winning. All of this was good advice that Areno would remember, but putting it into action was another thing altogether. He sighed deeply. In combat his role was to keep the others alive, but during combat that was difficult so really he only served an after-combat role. He was here to change that. To try and improve on himself and become able to defend his friends and allies rather then heal them after they got the damage.
"I will become strong enough to protect them all." he whispered to himself. If there was one thing he hated above all other things it was to see a friend or ally hurt or in pain especially when it was caused by defending him. He was fed up with being so weak. He did have one question though and nervouly raised a hand. "Erm....Kyra-taichou....W....what if your f...fighting a battle you can't w..win, but you can't r..r.run away for some reason like they are a lot f....faster then you or you are defending an injured ally or even a human or Plus? What do you do then?"
It was rare for him to ever ask a question unless he felt the answer was truly needed and he believed this was. Just saying fight as a team, analyse opponent or run didn't cover all eventualities. Areno as a kido user often had to weigh up different possible outcomes and act based on them so it was necessary for him to know as many angles as possible. Whilst he was asking this question he started off very nervous worrying about how the captain would react and stuttered a bit over his words. That was until he got to the bit about defending an injured ally or someone else. His voice became more confident when he asked that bit.

Haru had pulled himself together by the time that Kyra-Taichou had begun to explain the important notes of battle. Yes it was true, rushing in to your grave wasn't the best idea, and it is a wise man who observes his opponents and finds flaws to use against them. There is all the fact that teamwork is crucial, you could run away to request for back-up, or use what you have if others are already with you. A million possibilities ran through Haru's head, there were many outcomes of battle, along with choices, manuevers, strategies and battle tactic. Every outcome and possibility may be different, or the same depending on what happened. That is why there is always an outline of battle, most people do not understand this, Haru himself was shaky on it as well. He would just have to get the most out of this class.
He looked over, another shinigami had asked a question which was normal, and this question should have been expected.
"Erm....Kyra-taichou....W....what if your f...fighting a battle you can't w..win, but you can't r..r.run away for some reason like they are a lot f....faster then you or you are defending an injured ally or even a human or Plus? What do you do then?"
A question that he himself believed he could have answered, but he didn't want to be a smart-ass, he would let Kyra-taichou handle this one.

[Posting order is not required here. I simply do not wish for us to move on without the entire party having posted for that round. In most fighting-based threads, it is highly recommended, however, for the posting order to be upheld. However, in such situations where the storyline must move on, contacting the player is highly recommended. Contact the Original Poster for more inquiries in such situations.]

"It would depend highly on the situation," Kyra informed the Shinigami's inquiry. "As a Shinigami, it is our duty to make certain we keep the balance between Humans and Souls. Hollows and Quincy upset this balance by devouring souls, and not purifying Hollows. While we are on good terms currently with a good portion of the currently existing Quincy, they have still been unable to develop an ability to purify the souls of hollows rather than destroying them completely. As such, in situations in which you are cornered in defending another against a Hollow and you find yourself highly outmatched, you escape with your comrade or the spirit you're defending. Kido can help you greatly by means of Binding Spells. If you're able to bind the Hollow down, or at least, entrap him for a short amount of time, you should make a plan of escape. A plan of escape should always be planned out prior to jumping into any conflict. These are the basic strategies of all battles, no matter how small they may seem at first. It only takes one moment in time for a battle to sway either way."
The short woman took a moment of pause to catch her breath and allow the information to sink in.
"You are all granted the ability to control the Hell Butterflies; these messengers can be used to call in for backup and to report back to the Gotei 13," Kyra explained further. "Should you find yourself outmatched in a clear sense, it is never wise to even enter the fight. Call for backup and wait for further instructions from a superior officer. If you're already involved within the conflict, or find yourself trapped... Kido could be your best defense. If you're not good with Kido, I suggest training in the art, as it holds a variety of spells that can aid in an escape. I highly recommend at least mastering one low to mid level spell of each; Hado and Bakudo, in order to at least have something up your sleeve for just-in case scenarios. Are there any more questions before we move on to Kido?"
The medical shinigami thought for a few moments before shaking his head. He had no further questions and even if he did he would probabaly be too nervous to ask them. He always got nervous around authority, particularly female authority, incase he did something wrong. He was quite looking forward to the next part of training as he knew quite a bit about kido though he wouldn't say he was an expert.
He stood there quietly looking at the others. Would any of them have any questions to ask? Or would they get to proceed to the next stage of the training. He hoped he wouldn't have to go one on one kido wise against Kyra. She would likely trounce him thoroughly. Furthermore, kido, due to its need for incantation in most cases, usually required some sort of distraction usually provided by an ally for it to work.

Having no questions to ask the 5th squad captain, Syn stood there thinking to himself and putting all said things into consideration. Maybe learning Kido may be best for me. Syn scratched his head and put his hair back into place as the wind caught his bangs and blew them out of place and into right eye.
He then started to fidget with his fingers as he was getting a little bored and needed something to do. "If you want something to do then leave and go fight someone", said Taison his inner hollow.
"Be QUIET", said Sakura his zanpakuto spirit with a little edge to her voice as she was growing weary of hearing his voice at the moment.
Syn just stood let the two argue as he had more important issue at hand. How good will I do using kido. It might just blow up in my face. Syn smiled at this thought a little as he pictured it in his head.

Haru nodded as he sucked in all of the information that was being given.

This entire time Haru did nothing but listen and nod, every pause and breath all he did was listen intently. By now Haru had known that he wasn't exactly the most excellent escapist, and that when it came to desperate situations.....he would need something up his sleeve. Haru had quite the fascination for Kido, the spells....the incantations.....the effects! They were all so amazing and beautiful. The only problem was....Haru's kido was nothing more than decent. He wasn't exactly the best Kido user in the squad or anything......yet he had confidence in his abilities. This spec9ific course would be an interesting one.

Admin Note: I apologize for the tardiness of this post. However, as explained in the Absence thread, I've been in the process of moving and looking for jobs. As such, my leisurely time has been spent mostly attempting to catch up on rest, babysitting, or entertaining friends. Aside from that, let's continue on to Kido bouts.
The next round of posting will be done all OOC. After this, we will go straight back into IC. I simply wish for everyone to truly understand Kido combat.
OOC
Let's move on; Kido would be heavily dependent upon three things:
1) Your Character's Tier Level. 2) Your Character's Kido Level. 3) The Kido Level in which your Character is casting.
All these play factor into the strength of the Kido in which your character is producing. Now, we have a ridiculously drawn out, confusing as all hell point system for people who like to actually do the math out. This is simply a general guideline to put Kido ability into perspective on paper in accordance to the Bleach Universe. It's obviously still a little rough around the edges, but nevertheless, I'd like you all to review the Kido and Spiritual Ability Guide. Most of it is simply an explanation of Kido and so forth for beginners, but toward the bottom, you'll get into the point system. Please review this system, as it will come into play in the next few posts.
The most important factor upon the Kido Guide would be the level of Kido that a user is able to perform.
# Level of Kido - Required Tier Level of Character
As such, anyone in the Mid Level category can only summon up to Level 35. High Level, up to 75, and Master Level, up to 99. Of course, that's only a general Guideline. Not all characters that are approved at Master, Weak can perform every single Kido with the utmost proficiency.
For right now, we're going to abide by the point system until everyone becomes familiar with the limitation of their particular character.
Now, using the point system indicated, please simply reply with your character's point level. Remember the three factors above and enter in the points. Also list the highest level of Kido available to your character, and list it as followed:
For Kyra, it would be 30 Points total. She is Master Level (20 Points), Weak (+0) with Advanced Kido (+10), giving her a total of 30 points. She is able to perform up to Level 99 Kido.
(OOC: Hello I'm joining cause I would like to improve with kido. Now on to the post. Michael Angelo would have 20 points total. He is Low level (5 points), Strong (+5) with Advanced Kido (+10), giving him a grand total of 20 points. From what Kyra told me via pm he is able to use up to level 35 kido.)
