Name: Palumatzu
Age: 150
Gender: Male
Personality:
Skill Level: Swordsmanship: Beginner
Skill Level: Shunpou: Advanced
Skill Level: Hand-to-hand: Beginner
History/Background:
Age: 150
Gender: Male
Personality:
Palu Matzu is uptight... at first. Not used to friendship, he doesn't take jokes well at all. Most of the time, if he recognizes a joke, he will either ignore it, or treat it like an insult (Hai! I'm an uptight fool, taichou-sama!). For this reason, he is treated as rather naive. He is anything but.Appearance:
Under the sugar-coated veil of respect, his eyes are quite critical. He uses body reactions to hide his true intent--to cloud his heart from the prying eyes of bullies and jerks. He has a famous belief that if he simply shows everyone with respect (even his enemies) he will have no reason to hurt. It is no secret that he abhores pain.
If something touches his heart (emtionally), his true feelings will surface, and it will be child's play to make him doubt himself, to make him feel suffering, and to make him weak.
The only changes to his personality appear in combat. Even then, he still uses titles (-sama, -dono). His eyes remain critical, always searching, but no longer for signs of bullies. Instead, for weaknesses. He will hold his zenpakuto with one hand, and attack casually, and even hold back, until he has correctly gauged the combat power between him and his enemy. If he deems his enemy is worth investigating, he becomes rude, and questions the enemy mid-combat.
His arrogance comes into play if he does not find the enemy interesting, but the enemy feigns weakness. He will act like he is royalty, and that the enemy must bow to him. Even his allies will be forced to say, "I forefeit." This is his greatest source of arrogance--when he thinks he's truely greater.
Black hair stands out on him, but only because it trails. Even when standing at his full height of 6 feet, it trails at least a good foot. He doesn't have even the tiniest mark in his face, making it look almost like ceramic. It has been proved he cannot grow facial hair (including eyebrows, so he draws those on). The reason is unknown. His eyes are normally white, however, during the nighttime, they take on the appearance of the moon above his head. More for appearances than for combat.Zanpakuto Spirit:
His uniform is usually a crisp edition, with no special features. Underneath it, he wears a stealth suit. He never reveals this, unless his truest intent is to use barrier kido. Only with this suit revealed is his magnificent shunpo revealed. Despite this, he is mroe likely to use his own zanpakuto instead.
He always goes to a weekly nail salon, and as such, has perfect nails used moreso for combat than for looks. His belief was that if his sword failed him, his nails wouldn't. Despite this, his weakness is hand to hand combat.
Finally, he's incredibly thin, which makes others doubt his eating habits and health.
Appears as the moon. His appearance Always reflects the current phase of the moon in the world that Palu Matzu is in. In human form, Ifu's body is wrapped in a plain, white kimono. On his constantly-closed eyelides is the current moon phase. He is always calm, and serene. His wisdom is supreme.Sealed Zanpakuto:
Palu Matzu's inner realm is that of a massive, serene, meadow. In the sky are three moons, representing the ones in each of the three major realms of existance (Earth, Hueco Mundo, and Soul Society). The only way a moon can be added is if a dimension is created that has a moon. Even then, Palu Matzu would need to actually visit that dimension in order add its moon (i.e. the Spirit Palace's moon isn't there, but if PM went to the palace, it would appear as well).
A 3-foot-long katana. The zenpakuto's name is written on the blade, and the hilt, wrapped in luxurious fabric, has various phases of the moon weaved into it.Shikai Description:
Palu Matzu raises his blade to the sky, and calls out, "See the moon, Eiki!" The sword becomes a shield, and swings down to the earth.Shikai Abilities:
Appears as a massive shield, with a total diameter of 5 feet. The surface of the shield shows the full moon, but changes when certain combat skills are used. Also, weighs around 200 pounds.
En Gatsu (crescent moon): Simple to see, dificult to describe. The user picks up the shield, and after swinging the heavy chunk of metal around, treats an edge of hte shield like a blade, and slices the air. The edge traces the are, and that trace becomes an arc of destructive energy that flies at the enemy. Similar to a Getsuga in terms of appearance. This is hard to do, though, since the shield is heavy.Bankai Description:
Meigetsu (full/bright/harvest moon): The user focusses a full moon image on his allies, and any injuries they have are healed. To be more specific, the user's reiatsu flows into the targets, and from there, that reiatsu works at repairing damage done to the body. Doesn't bring back lost limbs, only heals the main body. However, if an arm or leg is still held on by at least a piece of muscle tissue, the user can still heal it, although it'll take more time to heal. Rate of regeneration depends on how much reiatsu is used--a lot of reiatsu makes it heal fast and messy, while a little makes it heal slowly and carefully. as for the area of healing, the shield can make a circle of healing directly in front of it. The circle's size is five feet in diameter. ONly things touching the ground inside the circle count, no flying things.
Mikaduki (New moon): The shield reflects a new moon, which in turn shrivels into a black sphere. This sphere is then fired straight ahead, as an attack. when it hits something, it acts like a thrown bomb, and explodes. Its strength lies in how much reiatsu is put into it. The weakness in this is that the shield's face must be pointed directly at the target--angles don't work.

History/Background:
The first thing he saw when he got ot the spirit world was one of the Nobles who helped finance many of Soul Society's... actions. He took in the distraught 19-year-old, and taught him the basics of Soul Society. Palu Matzu would later take these skills and become an Academy student at Soul Society when his age in the Spirit world reached 140. He almost immediately mastered barrier kido but severely lacked in anything else. For ten years, he had to train his skills--that is, the ones outside of the battle field. Although he was good for fights, he was horrible for offices. After 10 years, he got disharged for his combat talent, with special rules to never enter an office unless commanded to otherwise by a captain.RP Sample:
It took his 200th birthday for his use to come to light. A particularly nasty hollow had wahsed away one of the basic attack squads sent to kill it, and was considered a full-on threat. It attacked Palu matzu, who had been training. Palu did well holding it back, even so much as to use the Six Bars of Light imprisonment kido. However, all was futile, as the hollow broke the barriers like glass. Palu Matzu's luck drove him to the dying members of the attack squad, and seing them, Palu Matzu made a vow:
"I WON'T RUN AWAY!!"
Palu matzu learned his zenpakuto's name, and used it to heal the attack squad. The hollow didn't stand a chance, what with immortal reapers attacking time and time again, and hordes of shadows bringing him down. Palu Matzu had earned some respect for himself in this manner, and as such, he decided to make an attempt for a seated position...
"I am going to train you now."
Ifu Eiki took an offensive stance.
"More training? What do you have in mind?" Palu Matzu pulled out his sword.
"You aren't to know yet. If you refuse or fail, you will die. See the moon..."
Ifu summoned his shield. With a single hand ,he picked it up and threw it at Palu Matzu. Palu Matzu ducked in time, but it still left him in amazement.
"That thing weighs a ton! How can you so casually lift it like that?!"
"Because it is me, or rather, a part of me, so it is child's play for me to wield my own form."
"You're twisted!"
Palu Matzu suddenly flew several feet, the shield being slightly responsible.
"There is so much you do not know about your own powers. I shall relieve you of your duties now. EN GATSU!"
Ifu created a massive, 10-long-arc at palu matzu. Utterly amazed, it was all Palu could do to defend against it.
"How much power... do you HAVE?!"
Palu Matzu defclected it, and immediately used Six Bars of Light on Ifu.
"I don't understand. My restrictions should be the same as yours."
"Why should i be held down by weight? The shield is me, and I am the shield. We are the same, and as such, we OOF!" Palu Matzu had dived in and punched Ifu right in the stomach.
"You talk to much. En Gatsu." Palu Matzu picked up the shield and made a 5-foot-arc that sent Ifu flying. So Ifu's body was made out of the same stuff as the shield. Palu Matzu wasn't too surprised. "Mikaduki. Mikaduki. MIKADUKI!" Three black spheres, two weak ones, and then a strong one, flew at Ifu, who dodged the first two, but got hit by the second.
"Urgh... You're too arrogant. See the moon. Mikaduki!"
Ifu Eiki and Palu matzu tried for a good hour to overwhelm the other, but their powers were equal. Time for a change of plans, though Palu Matzu, as he abandoned his shield, and sent a few Shakkaho's at the enemy's shield.
"Whatever do you think your doing? You KNOW his shield can defend against your kido attempts! Mikaduki. Mikaduki!" Palu Matzu's shunpo allowed him to easily fly right at Ifu.
"Barrier kido #99! KIN!" Even as Ifu was wrapped by the two ribbons, he wasn't ready to surrender.
"You little..." Ifu tried kicking his enemy, but failed as the seals slammed Ifu into containment.
"Now, I can easily defeat ya, baka!" Palu Matzu picked up his katana, which he had oh-so-gracefully dropped onto the ground. He turned back, and saw that he had utilized a replacement kido.
"That's enough. Your defense looks far more like offense, nowadays."
"Maybe you should give me an offensive power?"
"Not yet. Maybe later, but its too soon for that."
