Trigekke watched as his opponent descended upon him. He readied himself and expected another lightning based attack. he hope to himself that this one wouldnt be a direct contact attack or otherwise he may have to focus on dodging. His opponent shunpoed and the jagged stripe on Trigekke's staff widened and thinned. Trigekke turned and watched as a more powerful bolt of lightning came careaning at him. Trigekke quickly planted his staff and dodged back to avoid any electrical discharge.
This blast was different from before as it blasted past his staff and continued on to hit him. Trigekke attempted to dodge but the fact that he was caught off guard made his efforts pointless. The lightning hit the right side of his torso and sent him rolling across the ground for more then 10 yards. He yelped as the electricty surged through him and severly burned his skin. His muscles twitched and ached as he laid there on the floor as his staff let off a little discharge.
Trigekke rolled onto his hands and knees and spat up some blood as he slowly stood up. The right side of his cloths was now gone and singed aroung the edges as he shunpoed to his staff. "That was new," he muttered to himself as he pulled his staff from the ground. The weight of the staff was now making his muscles ache as they were still in shock from earlier. He slammed the staff into the ground as a barrier of flames erupted around him. The intense face he bore was all that could be ssen of him as the flames obstructed him from view.

Zaru heaved a sigh of slight relief and satisfaction as his attack struck his opponent. Zaru watched his more powerful Raikyoshou charge through the staff implanted in the ground and strike his opponent's right side. Zaru then readied himself for a counter-attack knowing his attack, though effective, had hardly been enough to end the fight. Zaru took a defensive stance but Trigekke did not make a large offensive move. He grabbed a hold of his staff and sent more flames erupting from the ground, obstructing Zaru's view of his opponent. Zaru made a simple jump backwards to stay just out of range of the flames.
Zaru hesitated and stared at the emerald and black flames shooting out of the ground. The last thing he had seen of Trigekke was a look that was much more serious and intense then before. I think he's taking this fight much more serious than before now. If I underestimate him it will only increase my chance of losing this fight, and at the moment I'm not sure that wouldn't lead to my defeat. Zaru thought to himself. Before he could be caught of guard, Zaru raised his blade once more and fired three Q/W Raikyoshous roughly into the middle of the flames in front of him. Zaru wanted to see what more there was to his opponent's zanpakuto and fighting style....
