With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"Well, I'd never forgive ya... Guess I'd have to break tha' promise, eh?" Shinji said somewhat dryly. He looked down at her, he found himself subconsciously moving closer, his nose was a paper's width from hers, and she looked away. He blinked. Was he actually thinking about going through with this? He wanted it more than anything.. ninety percent, right? Well, he could drop to zero or shoot to a hundred with a quick movement. He was worried. He was afraid. He wanted to do it.
He didn't move, he was locked in thought, fighting with himself. But, he stopped putting pressure. On her with on arm, as he turned her face to look at him. "I feel like an idiot.." He said, looking down, his eyes down, his face solemn. "Ya always knew didn't you?"
He spoke almost blankly, as if he wasn't there. He knew she knew everything about him.. Of course she would've figured it out by now. Before she had a chance to say anything, he took his, kissing her, but breaking it after only a second's contact. He wanted to disappear. What an idiot. He rolled off of her, breaking the curtain that had locked away the rest of the world. He lay, staring at the ceiling, his eyes wide and looking straight up. He was petrified. He waited to hear the door as she left... Probably the last time he'd ever see her was that stupid, stupid moment.

Aina's entire body froze as Shinji, finally, got the courage and kissed her. Her whole body shuddered as his lips connected with hers. Her arms strained to rach up and wrap around his neck to make the kiss longer, but alas, his arms still pinned her down. Her toes curled as he pulled away, almost looking horrified at what he had done and rolled off of her. But that look, that look sent Aina over the edge as she started to giggle, she desperately tried to cover her laugh with her mouth and only succeeded to start hiccuping.
She rolled back and forth on the bed, laughing and hiccuping quietly to herself, finally getting under control a few minutes later. "Shin-chan," she gasped wiping tears from her eyes, "A girl could grow old waiting for you to make the first move, baka," she told him rolling onto her side and looking at Shinji with amused green eyes. Her slightly swollen lips from the first kiss, seemed to slightly purse wanting another kiss.
She was laughing at him... Shaking with laughter... He felt like an idiot. This was worse than if she would have just left. Then she spoke. Shinji's head snapped to look at her. His eyes were wide, and his mouth moved, but he couldn't find the words. He was wrong? She didn't hate him? She wasn't leaving? "Uh," He said, the first word, or noise, rather, he could form. He didn't know what to do or say. So, he did what he wanted to do for so long, and he rolled closer to her, his face again within millimeters of hers. "Yeah," He said weakly, before blinking several times, and shaking his head.
He wanted to kiss her again. Longer. He rolled so half of his body was on top of hers, his leg landing between hers, and he moved his left hand slowly behind her head. His head was so close to her face, he could feel her breath on his, his own breath still unsteady and heavy. He closed his eyes, and moved to make his lips meet hers, in a far more suitable kiss, than the far-too-quick one they had shared, and now he felt stupid for releasing her. He'd never win. Ninety-nine percent.

Aine let out a squeak as Shinji's body was practically ontop of hers, his hand underneath her neck, supporting her head as his face drew closer to hers. As soon as his lips were crushed against hers, Aina arms shot out locking around Shinji's neck, his hair was twisted around her fingers as she gave him one hellva kiss, filled with the longing she had felt for a very long time while waiting for Shinji to get his head out of his ass. Her body arched against his as her lips hungerily swept against his. Her breath was ragged as she pulled away, a crimson blush on her face as she looked at Shinji.
"...so this means your mom won the bet," she mumbled as her hand ran through Shinji's hair. She was refering to when Shinji's and her mother use to get together for tea and when the older ladies saw Shinji and Aina playing together they use to make bets if they would ever become a couple. Shinji's mom had been insistant, Aina's mom said that Shinji was too goofy looking for her daughter....sometimes it broke out into fist fights.
As they broke apart, Shinji found his breath to be ragged, but not nearly as bad as it had been after he shocked himself into kissing her the first time. He kissed her cheek as he propped himself up on his right arm, almost as if he was afraid to crush her. Which was foolish, even to him, as he had just been sitting on her, but he didn't quite connect the two.
He grinned as she mentioned his mom won the bet, and he looked about the happiest he'd been, in well... Ever. "I guess I should actually tell her that.. Though, she probably never had any doubt, all this time.." He chuckled, and added, "Your mom'll be furious! I can't wait ta tell her!" He grinned, and felt great. Why had he held back for so long? He always knew she liked him, deep down, no matter how much he tricked himself through his overthinking to the otherwise. There really wasn't a point to all that trouble. But it wasn't a good time to worry, and regret. He should be the happiest he'd ever been. And he'd never been happier. He hoped this lasted forever.

"And...yoink," Aina said grabbing Shini's Captain Haori, it was easier then usual, somewhere during the kiss she had almost pussed it off his shoulders. Aina let out a roguish laugh as she took off out of the bedroom and out the door. "Come on Shin-chan, I have something to show you!" she yelled back to him, but not before running into someone. "Gome....er, Aizen-sama," she said rather reduclently as she continued running before shunpoing onto a rooftop and taking off.
Ah, another favorite childhood game, one that annoyed Aizen to no end, considering Aina always stole something from Shinji right as he was about to knock on the door. She continued to sprint across the rooftops, easily clearing over the wall and heading towards the forest where they use to play, the entire time wearing the white robe like a cape.
Shinji was completely caught off guard as she stole his haori. "Ah, no!" Shinji yelled, scrambling after her, again. He saw Aizen in the doorway, and she nearly flattened him, but avoided it. As usual, he'd be ditching Aizen with whatever questions he may have, though Shinji supposed he was just here to wake him up for something insignificant like paperwork. Aizen'd just end up doing it anyways.
"Sorry, Aizen," Shinji said, as he rushed past, after Aina, "Got important business ta take care o', you just lemme know how things are goin' when I get back, ya?"
At that, Shinji was off after Aina. She was quick, sure, but Shinji didn't want her to get too confident, he wanted his fun, too. He appeared a few feet behind her on the roof. "Ah, now, I won't cheat!" He yelled, running after her, without abusing his skill with Shunpo, though he was constantly tempted to get right in front of her, and block her, so she'd run right into him. He thought that'd be funny... But decided against it. Finding chasing her to be far more entertaining.

"I only used the roof so you could catch up, you know I'm a better earth runner," Aina said turning and running backwards for a few seconds to grin at Shinji before jumping off the building and hitting the ground. Aina's Zanpaktou was earth-based, she drew strength, speed, and energy from the ground itself. She was so use to it that she could even manipulate the earth around her as she fought. But for this occasion, she just took off, dust trailing behind her as she sped through the district, everything around her a blur as she ran.
Not even breaking a sweat, she sped to a halt in a small clearing in the forest, the trees were rushed by her passing but then quickly settled down. Lazily, she sat down in front of a tree and relaxed against it's trunk as she waited for Shinji. She grinned, still faster, at least when she had contact with the earth.
Shinji had begun to slow down when she jumped. Either he cheated and used shunpo, flash stepping the whole way to possibly tie her, or he could walk until she won. His choice was obvious, and with a swish, he stopped next to the tree she had stopped at, just a few moments after she arrived. "I cheated," He grinned, tapping her shoulder. She would've expected that, of course. He wasn't the most fair opponent. In any way.
"So, what'dya take as all the way out here for?" Shinji said, looking around. "Jus' ta admire tha trees?"
He walked forward, to stand in the middle of the small clearing, the trees aroundd were so big they actually blocked the sky, despite not growing very close to the middle. And suddenly, he dropped to a seated position, his legs bent in front of him. "Ya gonna give me back my haori, 'r what?"

Aina made a face at Shinji, "You always cheat, it's not fair, shesh," she told him rather grumpil before scooting over a little to let him sit beside her, as soon as he settled down she instantly scrabbled her hands over his hair, messing up the blond locks. "There, even now," she said bluntly before going back and leaning against the tree grinning.
"Nope, why would I give it back, obviously it looks much better on me, besides if I give it back I'll get cold. You wouldn't want me to get cold would you Shinji?" she asked looking rather innocent as she gazed at him, drawing the robe closer to her skin, "Then again," she said thoughtfully, "I could always use you to warm me," she said rather cheekily and grinned again before pushing Shinji over and once again sitting on his stomach.
"Now," she said tapping a finger to her chin, death gods she did love teasing Shinji, really she was the only one who could get under his skin, "The reason why I lured you out here," she said before holding up her finger, "Oh yeah, to seduce you, of course," she then threw back her head and laughed, the entire comment a joke. "No, actually I wanted you to be the first person to know about this...other then Urahara-Taichou, mainly because he helped me," she said reaching down to her Zanpaktou, using her thumb to pop it out of it's sheath she jumped backwards.
"Ne, ne, Shin-chan, lets spar already!" she told him drawing her katana with white and brown wrappings from its sheath.
