General Information
--------------------
Name: Shirio Hyrosauke (El Diablo)
Actual Age: 190
Appearing Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance
Looking at Shirio today, it is hard to imagine that he was once a small, scrawny little boy. Like his father, Shirio is somewhat tall at six feet, though his father was slightly taller. His physique is lean but well toned from centuries of hard training. His head is covered in thick, short black hair. When he was younger, he used to let his hair grow into a wild mop; covering his eyes with his hair was the only way he could work up the courage to speak to others. No longer needing that emotional crutch, Shirio now keeps his hair short and neatly trimmed.
While Shirio may have his father’s hair and body type, he most clearly takes after his mother. Like her, his features are soft and might even be considered delicate if not for his rigorous training. When he smiles, his face lights up in a way that compliments his piercing blue eyes. If he weren’t so shy and humble around women, he might be considered quite the dashing rogue. As it stands, he has more of a “guy next door” type of appeal that is charming in its own way.
Shirio prefers to dress simply. He is always seen in a white T-shirt black jacket and jeans that is unremarkable except for two additions. On the back of his jacket is the diamond-shaped emblem of the 14th Division.
Personality
Shirio had grown quite a bit in the years since the death of his family , but there are still hints of the shy little boy he once was. The most obvious difference is in the way he carries himself. Before, his shoulders were always hunched, as if trying to make himself as small as possible to avoid being seen. Now, however, he holds his head high, confident that he is able to take care of himself. While he had once been very quiet and reserved, he is now jovial and gregarious.
If there is one area where Shirio remains shy, it’s around women. The fairer sex both fascinates and confuses him in ways that are difficult to explain. On the one hand, he was always brought up to have great respect for women. On the other hand, he can’t understand how something as simple as a pretty face can make him nearly incapable of forming coherent sentences. It is quite vexing, to say the least.
When not on duty, Shirio prefers to find a quiet place to have some tea, preferably with company. Shirio was an accomplished tea-maker even before becoming a shinigami, and he enjoys sharing his talent with others. Having others around also gives him a reason not to slip into melancholy. In a way, his jovial attitude is something of a facade—his way of coping with what has been an incredibly difficult life. While he smiles and likes friendship Shirio has a murderous intent which would mostly be disguise from others.
History
Shirio Hyrosauke was born one hundred and twenty years before Aizen’s rise to power, right within the walls of the Seireitei. He was the son of two shinigami. His father, Shriouke served as the 3rd seat in the 6th Division under Ginrei Kuchiki. His mother, Nanako, was 5th seat in Retsu Unohana’s 4th Division. Theirs was always an odd pairing, as Shriouke was always louder and more gregarious than Nanako. Still, they had a relationship built upon true love, a love they shared with their only son. Shirio has few memories of those early years, but those he has are filled with nothing but warmth and happiness.
Of course, even the happiest of times must eventually pass. When Shirio was 50, barely a kindergartener by Soul Society standards, his mother was sent on a mission to aid a group of wounded 11th Division soldiers. She never returned. Devastated by the loss, Shriouke resigned from his position in the Gotei 13 over new lieutenant Byakuya Kuchiki’s objections. In Shriouke’s eyes, his obligations as a father coincided with his obligations to the Gotei 13: his young son needed his father, and there was no way he could fight at 100% with the fear of leaving his son alone over his head.
Using money that he and Nanako had saved over the years, Shriouke moved out into the first district, opening a teashop called the Lavender Sunset. It was at this small shop that Shirio would spend the bulk of his childhood. As he grew older, the boy began helping his father in the shop, and soon grew to be an accomplished tea-maker. Between father and son, the Lavender Sunset quickly gained a reputation as perhaps the best teashop in all of Soul Society. Life continued this way for many years, and the small family was happy once again. Fate, however, had other plans for the boy.
It started with a cough. At first the coughing fits would hit Shriouke once or twice a week. Soon they were coming once or twice a day. Before Shirio could really understand what was happening, his father was dying. The boy couldn’t understand it: his father was a former shinigami, an officer of the Gotei 13! He had always been there for him, and now he was dying? How could that be possible?
Though he had hoped that this would never happen, Shriouke had been prepared for the worst. As he lay dying, he told Shirio to go to the Shinigami Academy; Shriouke had no relatives, and the Gotei 13 was the closest he had to family. He wasn’t sure if the boy was ready to be a shinigami, but he had no other options. Late that night, Shriouke Hyrosauke passed away, leaving Shirio utterly alone.
As per his father his father’s wishes, Shirio made his way to the Shinigami Academy. Shirio entered the Academy with slightly below average scores. This fact always bothered him, for it led him to believe that he was only accepted due to who his father was. In truth, he was admitted because the Academy saw something very special in him. Though his scores were not fully up to average, they were amazingly high considering his age. What they saw was a boy with the potential to grow very much, indeed.
Shirio's performance at the Academy bore their predictions out: he steadily improved, and managed to keep pace with students twice his age. While technically “average,” he was doing rather well for himself. And he earned everything he gained, as he worked harder than almost any other student in his class. Unfortunately, this also troubled Shirio. Here he was, working himself to the bone, and receiving “average” ratings. Meanwhile, other students were excelling without anywhere near the same effort. Any attempts to alleviate these feelings were met with skepticism. After all, weren't they just being nice to him because of his father?
He spent the next six years of his life at the Academy, even spending “break” periods at the dorms. Though he was average in most things, he did do well in kidou, though he was by no means a master. If he had any weak area, it was his zanjutsu, as his size and confidence issues held him back. Still, he did well enough to be selected by the 6th Division upon graduation. Once there, he found being a shinigami even harder than he could have imagined. As the youngest and most junior member of his division, he was always forced to run errands. Soon, other members of the Division noticed his strong work ethic, and began forcing him to do chores for them as well.
It was during these constant chores that he met Byakuya Kuchiki. He had been carrying a stack of reports so tall that he couldn’t see over them when he ran into someone else. The stack of papers flew everywhere, creating a terrible mess. That alone would have been bad enough had the person he had run into not been his captain. Shirio prostate himself before Byakuya, apologizing profusely. The elder Kuchiki demanded to know who he was. When he heard the name, a wave of recognition swept over the 6th Division Captain. He had seen the boy before in the multitude of pictures that the Division’s former 3rd Seat was always dying to show him. While he had been against Shriouke’s retirement, he could understand the man’s motivation. And now, here was Sriouke’s son, alone—exactly what Shriouke had feared would happen if he were killed in action.
In a move that shocked many (including Shirio), Byakuya did not punish him for creating the mess. Instead, he gave the boy an unofficial promotion, making him his personal assistant. Though he never really liked the former 3rd Seat, this was his way of repaying Shriouke ’s service. He could not adopt another commoner into the Kuchiki family, but he could make sure that the boy was taken care of in the Division.
For a few fleeting months, Shirio’s life began to stabilize. Sure, Captain Kuchiki kept him very busy, but for the first time since his father had died, he felt like he had a place where he belonged.
Then Aizen came. The Traitor’s final assault on the the real world was swift and brutal. The boy would have certainly been killed in the chaos, were it not for Kisuke Urahara. Somehow, Kisuke Urahara and the other vizards found Shirio's body and stopped him from fully Hollowfing
“Live, Hyrosauke.” With that, he vanished, going off to meet his fate.
As Shirio landed in the Real World, a realization struck him: everyone he had ever cared about, every parental figure he had ever had, was dead. The despair nearly broke him. But just as he was about to end his life, he was discovered by a small group of shinigami. These survivors of Aizen’s ascention were among the first of what would eventually become the Vizards . They took the boy in, eager to recruit another fresh body for the eventual fight against Aizen.
Through the years Shirio grew older and stronger. Gone is the frightened boy; in his place is a man who his confident in his ability to stand on his own. He owes a great deal to those that helped him when he was weak. Now it is time to repay the favor and honor their memories. As a vizard Shirio will destroy those who disturb the peace.

Personality

His rock style attitude towards life means he acts lay back, seeing everyday as a easy task. Mouthing off to even the biggest of enemies . He finds battle a way to kill time and maybe even get him warmed up for a big event. Fighting for Shirio is his form of fun. Finding the art of sword fighting to be exciting, the thrill it gives him makes him deadly as he sometimes seeks out fights even if the odds are against him. This cocky attitude sometimes isn't best for him. When he takes a battle seriously you will see a whole over side to him. He is silent and deadly only sparing a few taunting words to enrage the opponent. Taskime holds grudges and settles arguments with his blade not words. He is seldom ever sad and likes to play the role of the tough guy. He gets pissed off by people who have bigger mouths than him he just isn't happy with it. He is not easily trusted as his appearance makes people wary. However he isn't bothered by this and just gets on with his life.
Relationship to Master
The two once shared a teacher-student relationship when Shirio first acquired her Hollow abilities. Like a Shinigami with their Zanpakuto, Taskime worked with Shirio to help him acquire a greater understanding of Hollows and how they worked. Currently, the two have grown beyond that relationship. Taskime understands that their fates are shared, and when Shirio eventually dies, so to will he. He will aid him freely in any battle and give her any power he can muster to help her become victorious.
Relationship Towards Ryosauke: He holds a valid respect for Shirio's Zanpakuto. At once, the two had clashed during the first few years of Shirio's hollowfication, but eventually, the two have come to a certain level of respect for one another. Taskime is able to wield Ryosauke when he takes control, though such actions have become far less as of late due to Shirio being able to summon forth his power with relative ease.
World: His world is a field, high above the clouds, with an old shrine sitting near the summit. The clouds extend to the horizon at every angle, and the shrine sitting at the center of the flattened surface seems to be far aged. The fields itself sits below the clouds, allowing the lightning bolts to appear overhead. At times, the sky does seem to express night, seeming to depend on the emotion that Shirio is currently feeling.

Long forest green strands danced along the soundless tune of the four winds. A soft hand came up to caress the strands that attempted to block his field of view. Emerald green hues reflected upon the horizon where the sun rested against the water's edge, as if being swallowed for yet another day. The soft scent of sea salt tickled his nostrils as the damp air that soon filled the area moistened his tanned skin lightly. A cool mist had collected along the port side, a normal occurrence it seemed as of late, or rather, ever since the green haired woman came to visit during the setting of the sun.
"Another day..."
Yes... it seemed yet another day had passed. How many had that been? A number, it seemed, that was far too high to count... yet, his mind playfully attempted to dwell upon the equation and came up with a rough estimate.
"Three-hundred, seventy-two thousand, five-hundred and fifty-six days," the young man's voice summarized the total with a soft faint smile appearing upon his lips. Still, as the boy who appeared in his early twenties gazed rather childishly out toward the horizon, there was a bit of sadness in his expression... like that of someone who had lost someone so very dear to them. The elder man had long since forgotten the name, and had cursed himself ever since. Living so long, one could only retain so much information before forgetfulness came over. Still, important information was always retained... graduating the Academy, becoming a full fledged Shinigami, the war he had fought in, the creation of the Gotei 13, his first encounter with the spiritual form of his Zanpakuto, becoming a Captain of the Ninth Squad, becoming a Royal Guard...
Still... it seemed he was destined to forever forget the name of the man who had saved his life so many times in the past... the face of the Lieutenant whom he had looked up to with such high regard... such high respect... quite possibly, the first person he had truly loved.
'You dwell too much on the past...'
Ryosauke... he always seemed far wiser than him, even after so many years of fighting along his side. Those aged yet youthful eyes closed briefly as a forced smile appeared upon his expression.
"You always seem to know what I'm thinking," Shirio announced with a faint voice.
'We share an eternal bond, do we not?'
It was true. They shared a bond for all eternity. As it was with Taskime, it was with Ryosauke. Her Zanpakuto and Inner Hollow were now one with him. He was never alone... he would always have them both by his side... yet... why did he fell so lonely?
