General Information
--------------------
Name: Celia Parra
Actual Age: 321
Appearing Age: About 30
Gender: Female
Race: Adjuchas
Rank: Numeros
Number: 15
Appearance
Celia is a short but built woman, standing at just shy of five feet: 4'11" and weighs about 121 lbs. She is a proportionally shapely woman, having wide hips and a curved waistline. Along her body, there are muscles that have little definition until she begins moving. However, in spite of this, Celia possesses a quite feminine figure, and, to further accent this, her walk is kept with a tall and straight posture, and she rarely slouches.
Celia has long, layered hair, when she lets it down. Kept up at all times, her hair is kept in two, layered ponytails, one high, one low. While the one on the top is fairly short, not going past her jaw, the one on the bottom is quite long, falling halfway down her back. In the front of the red-head's face, her bangs are parted messily to the sides, falling as far as her jaw in unruly strands. Celia's hair is not the most feminine of her features, despite the style she keeps it in. Her hair is rather grainy, not any smoother than the average person's hair (not just women).
Celia's face is shaped as a round heart, especially with the part in her bangs. Under her left eye, Celia has a small, purple marking, curled like a series of hooks that form a triangle together. Above both of her eyes, her skin is permanently dyed a dark purple of the same hue. Celia has small, chestnut-colored eyes, and dark eyelashes.
Her mask fragments manifest as a small, bone necklace that is glued to her neckline, circling all the way around. Jagged teeth jet out from the main spine, which is like a misshapen jaw. Her hollow hole is located below her chest, right over her diaphragm. It is very small, about the size of a Sacajawea dollar.
As for attire, Celia's uniform is modified slightly, consisting of a white hakama with a black obi. Hers, however, is tied in the back where her zanpakuto is, ending in a large bow. Her jacket has a collar that stops at her jaw, always left open. While her jacket is long-sleeved, the part that covers her chest stops where her rib cage ends and her abdomen begins. Her jacket reveals some cleavage, cut in a low V. On her hands, she wears maroon, fingerless gloves which help her keep a grip on her sword (because without it she would constantly let go). While they are mundane, they help absorb some of the shock that shoots through her zanpakuto when it clashes with something, be it a blade or a person.
On the back of her left wrist, Celia has her espada tattoo. It is aligned horizontally, across her wrist so that the top of the number is on the inner right-hand side of her wrist, where her thumb is, and the bottom is aligned with the ridge on the left-hand side of her wrist.
Personality
Quietly sarcastic, Celia is not ladylike underneath it all. While she does have some degree of manners, they are reserved for those who outrank her only. Those who do not, including shinigami and vizard, are subject to her wrath. However, Celia is not blatantly disrespectful, rather subtly disrespectful. She keeps a snide undertone in her speech, a condescending attitude towards almost everyone who is not above her (unless they have proved themselves to her).
She dislikes blood, not because she doesn't like fighting but because she despises the stains it leaves. She will calmly disregard whatever pain an opponent, or, in some cases, an ally, might be in, and will tell them to clean up whatever mess they are making before proceeding with whatever she was doing.
Celia doesn't speak much, but when she does she proves to be observant and sarcastic. She has tendancies to pick through the behaviors of whoever she speaks to and lock them away in a mental vault for future reference, and, in this way, her mind is a terrifying thing. In fights, after she has trapped a foe, she will then state where they went wrong, what she saw in their actions, and why they failed to harm or defeat her (The famous, "Why you suck," speech). She is an expert on psychology, and knows how to read body language expertly. However, Celia is not perfect, and will make mistakes on things such as intent when observing humans, causing her to take a slight interest in them.
Celia is a curious woman, and a stubborn one at that. If confused, she will set out to end her confusion and will insist on privacy until she has resolved the matter. She has a tendency to overcomplicate small things like small-talk, and humor. Being slightly sarcastic herself, she doesn't understand 'lesser' humor such as puns nor pranks. She will overthink small things such as these, searching for motives beyond simply getting a laugh or two. Celia believes that humor requires some degree of wit.
While not very emotional, Celia has a few things that do make her angry. Once she has gained respect for someone, or, should she have an underling, she will take offense when someone sets out to insult them. She will make herself known immediately, especially when dealing with those who attack those she respects, master or subordinate. If the person she respects is on the wrong side of the war, Celia tends to avoid fighting that particular person, though she will fight with some reluctance if they strike first, or if she is under direct orders to do so.
While Celia isn't bloodthirsty, nor power hungry, she does not object to battling, only to petty fights. She believes that war is a perfect reason for battle, and will go all out with no hesitation. Practicing, she also sees as a good method for training, yet, she does not see arguments as a reasonable cause for a brawl. Celia herself does not like training, though she will train if prompted to do so.
Because life in Los Noches can be dull, Celia spends much of her free time in a meditation of sorts, scrawling down her thoughts in one of her many notebooks. Celia is a pack rat when it comes to her thoughts, and each and every one must be stored. Her handwriting is a terribly messy scrawl, nearly illegible to anyone except herself. She keeps her multitude of notebooks underneath her bed. To her, anyone who touches her notes without permission must be destroyed, though, if someone outranks her this can lead to problems. It's the only thing that can truly set off Celia, and it drives her completely insane.
As a side note, Celia rarely gives her surname when introducing herself.
Celia has a strong respect for her fraccion, though she tends not to show it openly. She vastly respects Darui and Neva above Adela and Annette, though would not hesitate to step in and protect any of them. Bickering between her fraccion leaves her weary and cold, yet when things are well, Celia seems relaxed and will join them in various banters. She believes firmly that her group should be harmonious, and despises when it is in chaos.
History
Human
Death surrounded Celia from the day she was born. Her mother died in childbirth, and her father commited suicide months later, leaving a small infant on her own. Her grandmother was the only one alive to take care of her, and Celia grew up in the arms of an elderly woman. This caused the girl to grow up to be strong, as her grandfather had died some years ago. She supported her aging grandmother from the moment she was strong enough to do so, but even then, death seemed drawn to Celia.
It began with her grandmother catching an unknown disease (a viral infection). Celia continued to care for her grandmother, but what medicines they had at the time were not enough. Her grandmother died over the span of three weeks, the life fading from her more with each passing day. However, her grandmother was not the only one to catch the virus, much less die from it. Several of her neighbors dropped dead, her friends, and later on, her. With no one to care for her, the virus quickly worked its way through Celia's body, and with her emotions consuming her, she quickly came to realize that if she hadn't had those worthless feelings, she wouldn't be dying. When she died, she remained behind as a plus soul.
Celia does not remember her human life at all.Plus Soul
Consumed by grief in the weeks before her death, Celia was unable to pass on to soul society. Her soul chain slowly began to erode, leaving Celia to question her existence more with each passing chain. Yet, it almost seemed as if she was losing her opportunity to pass on with each second. She remained a plus for two years, her chain slowly eroding as she waited for the finality of death to come; but it didn't.
In her last moments as a plus soul, a shinigami found her and preformed a konso to send her on to Soul Society. Things should have gone well, but Celia's bad luck caught up to her. She was sent, not to heaven like she thought, but instead to the western rukongai's eightieth district. In this district, she was consumed by a hollow while hiding in a run-down shack. She wasn't even able to see the hollow that took her down, but, when she was taken over, she wanted revenge.Hollow
A hollow in Soul Society shouldn't have lasted long, but Celia did. In the furthest reaches of the rukongai, it was so much easier to remain hidden while still picking off whatever shinigami were sent to take her down. However, Celia soon grew bored ofnommingdevouring shinigami, and searched for a way out of the Rukongai. She found it in the manner of latching on to another hollow and letting it carry her to Hueco Mundo.
In Hueco Mundo, Celia was a force to be feared. Her powers were much more effective in Hueco Mundo than they had ever been in the soul society, the loose, grainy sands suiting her powers well. She could dig her roots into the ground and absorb reiatsu from below! The plant-like hollow continued to grow stronger, and stronger, feeding on hollows to help tame the lust for more power.
It was during one of these fights that Celia evolved into a Gillian. Blood lust split between the seven hollow, congregated like vultures around a carcass. Celia, however, believed she had an edge. She believed she would devour them all. There were no doubts in her mind, and, arrogant as it was, she went into a fight without strategy for the first time in her existence as a hollow.
Becoming a Gillian was a strange sensation, and, had it not been for that change, Celia would have died. Because of her powers, the very nature of them, she would have needed a partner to back her up. She had none. She was easy prey for the other hollow, but she didn't let herself be eaten alive. Instead, she attempted to devour each hollow that attempted to devour her. Instead of this working out in either side's favor, the hollow felt themselves merge. A struggle ensued. The pair wrestled and clawed, bit and kicked, but to no avail. A winner would not come of this encounter. The other hollow looked on, as if pitying the struggle between the two hollow. One with vines and roots coating her existence, and one with jaws and claws. It was pitiful, the display. Neither would win, that much was obvious.
Then it happened. They felt, for the briefest of moments, a strange sensation of collision with another being. With hundreds of other beings, the anguish of hundreds, thousands of souls between the two. Each begging to be released and finding no escape. They heard the other's cries of anguish, they heard the others' cries as well. It was an unbearable pain, a reminder of what each of them had gone through as a soul themself. Somewhere, deep down, Celia believed she heard herself scream.
The two didn't realize they were merging into a gillian, the other, hungry, stalking hollows fusing as well as they tried to take advantage of the situation and pounce on the brawling pair. Bad plan.
Celia had no intention of fading from existence then and there. She had no intention of giving up. Celia forced herself over each of the other hollow, and, luckily for her, she succeeded. The voices of anguish faded away, and blind hunger replaced it. Celia needed her next meal, and regular hollow would not suffice.
Gillian
Her Gillian life was simple. Celia was a massive Gillian, a sick, parody of ivy growing up the base of her 'cloak'. Roots dug deep into the soil, constantly feeding her a stream of reiatsu. Celia spent much of her time above ground, never venturing into the forest of menos. She didn't want to. She felt she didn't need to. She was feeding off of the very energy they radiated. Was that not enough?
It wasn't.
Celia was hungry. She was starved. She needed something to sustain her. More than what her roots were feeding her. She needed more from the source. She needed sustenance. She needed more.
She dug her way down into the forest of menos, where she devoured her own kind, time after time again. She devoured them heartlessly, not caring that her methods were a little more than painful for them. She used her roots to entrap and drain the energy of those Gillian, causing them to wither like dying flowers. She sucked them dry and left the carcasses to rot. And she never felt a twinge of remorse.
Yet, it still wasn't enough for Celia. She wanted compensation for all the time she had wasted above ground. She wanted to eat everything she had wanted to eat above the forest, plus what she needed to eat to survive. She was bloodthirsty. She thirsted for it. She needed it. She strove to obtain it.
One too many Gillian, and that rage of despair and emotions flooded her mind again, her pushing her way to the top, forcing herself to gain control. It had been easier than before. Celia had become an Adjuchas.Adjuchas
She wanted out of that damn forest.
It hadn't been too long since she had become an Adjuchas, but that forest was too confining. She wanted out. She was like an animal (a very plant-like animal) and she wanted out. Her plan to escape took several days, her roots seeping up to the surface where she could pull herself free. She dragged herself through sand, and, when she made it to the top, she felt free.
Celia never spent much time as an Adjuchas. Instead, she looked on to greater things. That man, Aizen Sousuke, and his method of shinigamification intrigued her. Like many other hollow drawn to the man, Celia joined him and received hollowfication via the hogyoku.Arrancar
During the winter war, Celia saw very little action. Not having an Espada at the time, she lived the life of an unwanted numeros. Not that it bothered her. She was happy to have regained some intelligence. To have gotten stronger. To have gotten smarter. In her mind, it was a victory. Even if she didn't get to fight, she had won.
She saw everything as an exponential growth. She was pleased. That was all that mattered.Espada
The aftermath of the winter war left Soul Society and Celia herself had been chosen to fill the void left by the Espada dying off. Promoted to Novena Espada, Celia was given her own little castle, the remnants of the former Aaronnierro's abode. The woman was pleased with her achievement, marked by the tattoo on the back of her left wrist.
Not only had she grown in rank, but she had also grown in resources. Espada was a good position to be in, as she took in two girls who were of interest to her: Adela and Neva Munoz. Out of interest for the two, Celia took them in so she could learn more about their predicament, why two embodiments of the same being should be so different. She requested Adela be her fraccion before she asked Neva, and was met with a harsh, "No." And yet, upon asking the other sister, the far more rational one, she was granted her request and took the two under her wing.
Then came Darui, an arrancar whom she had asked to join her due to yet another interesting feature: his size versus his strength, and his thoughts about it.
Leading her fraccion out into the desert, Celia brought her group to a desolate section of Hueco Mundo (not that most of it isn't). After persuading the group to reveal their weaknesses to one another, Celia was pleased with the results and revealed her own weaknesses: a weak sword hand, a slow sonido, and a nearly immobile resurreccion. After this, she merely fled out of sight via blasting a hole in the ground and tunneling through the Forest of Menos.
Upon returning to Hueco Mundo, she acquired one more fraccion: Annette. She took the girl under her wing, once more, out of curiosity for the girl's behavior.
Her fraccion built, Celia was pleased. This would do.

[/color]- As Espada are given the right to, Celia has obtained her own Gran Rey Cero. By nicking her thumb on her sword, she mixes her blood with her reiatsu and forms her cero between her thumb and forefinger. Unlike her regular cero, it's a brilliant, bloody red as opposed to green.
Natural Powers
- Cero - A young plant shade of green, Celia's cero are fired from the palm of her right hand. When charging, the cero seems to engulf her hand, though moves in front after a few moments.
- Gran Rey Cero
[/li][li] Garganta - The standard arrancar ability to travel between worlds.
[/li][li] Hierro - An average, run-of-the-mill hierro. Celia doesn't boast over it, though she uses it to 'sharpen' her hands into weapons in their own rite.
[/li][li] Bala - Similar to her cero, this is the same shade of green and is fired from her palm. However, it is fired from her left hand. When firing this, she closes her hand and forms her bala, then 'throws' it at her target.

Arrancar Abilities
[/blockquote]
Devora - Devour
- Description of Attack - In a sense, this is a higher ability to take in spirit particles from the air in places such as Hueco Mundo and Soul Society. Celia passively absorbs more of the energy around her. While this is useless in battles, while resting this causes her to heal about 5% faster than a regular arrancar or hollow would. This also allows others to heal her slightly faster as well. In a sense, this resembles the way a plant's roots take in water from the soil around it.
- Type - Passive/Healing {Kinda}
- Range - Self
- Limitation - Celia takes in only enough reishi to quicken her healing by 5%. This is only effective in places like Hueco Mundo and Soul Society. Because she only heals about five percent faster than your average Joe arrancar, this is useless during battles of people above beginner-level weak, who wouldn't be able to see her, really. If Celia stops breathing for whatever reason, then she is out of luck.
This ability carries over to resurreccion, where it causes flowers to grow on her skin; however, the flowers are only cosmetic and only appear after several minutes of fighting.
--------------------
Zanpakutō
--------------------
Name: Las Flores
Translation - Flowers
Call Out Phrase: Floración, Las Flores
Translation - Bloom, Las Flores
Appearance
Celia's zanpakuto is a 18" wakizashi, worn diagonally at the back of her waist, the guard facing her right. The hilt is covered in a maroon ito, though the rest of the weapon is silver. The Tsuba of her weapon is planted diagonally on the sword, a 2"x3" rectangle forming the base of the guard. Where the blade and hilt connect, there are two bars running across the rectangle. Two triangle-shaped hollows fill the rest of the tsuba.
--------------------
Resurrección
--------------------
Appearance
Sporadic, white "rose" thorns grow on her arms, mainly on the outside of the wrist, elbow, and shoulder areas. Each thorn extends to about seven, nine inches, depending on placement (The ones on the wrists are the smallest while the ones on the elbows are the biggest). However, because the thorns are shaped like rose thorns, and thus curved and long at the base, Celia's elbows are constantly bent. On her hands, her fingers extend to five-inch long, black claws. The teeth of her mask fragment grow up to a horizontal angle, extending slightly, forming a flower-shaped fragment around her neck.
Her attire is shed and replaced with a long 'dress' of a deep green plantlike material that extends over her bust and reaches halfway to her shoulder from there. It seems to be made of extremely long leaves, similar to the ferns one would find on the bottom of a rainforest. At the bottom, another layer of leaves trails behind her on the ground. Beneath this dress, Celia actually has no apparent legs, a system of roughly seven-hundred some roots (some thin, some not; some bury up to ten feet deep beneath her) making up her lower body. Because of this, Celia has grown to be ten feet tall, her body like a flower on a very long stem.
In this form, her hair grows unruly, slowly tearing out of its bindings as the fight progresses and forming into a long, frayed style, hanging loosely. Similarly to how her hair does not remain held down, during long fights, after several minutes (three to four, depending on how intense the fighting is) small roses of various shades of red begin to form on her body, mainly (as they have had time to absorb the reiatsu in the air and grow).
In this form, Celia is incredibly slow, to the point of barely moving at all. She must be on the ground for her roots to take hold and for her abilities to have the full effect.
Thorn Locations
- On the outside of each wrist, there is a seven-inch thorn.
- On the ridge in each elbow (the part you use to hit someone) there is a nine-inch thorn.
- On each shoulder, there is a eight-inch thorn jutting out like a pauldrons at aproximately 160 degrees.
- Her fingers, as stated above, turn into thorn-like claws.
Abilities
Raiz - Roots
- Description of Attack - Celia's roots root her to the ground (when she is on the ground; when she reaches the ground they start to tie her down automatically), keeping her steady and mostly immobile. However, while rooted to the ground, she can set traps, causing some of her larger roots to curl up in front of her and curl around the legs of an opponent, keeping them still.
- Type - Passive (rooted)/Entrapment
- Range - Point Blank - 8 feet {Must be on the ground}
- Limitation - Celia must be rooted to the ground for this to work. In the air, this is completely useless as her roots travel through the earth. They move fairly slowly (about 20mph), so if someone sees them coming they may be able to avoid it. The closer the opponent is, the more of the root Celia can use to trap them. Once trapped, the roots can be cut by anyone with the potential to strike through her hierro, or potentially burned by a fire attack created by someone up to two tiers below her. Being rooted requires no excess energy due to the fact that it is her own body. Shooting them through the ground to capture someone takes about 3% of reiatsu, coiling around takes about 3% more, and tightening her grip would take another 2% per five seconds. She also feels pain with the roots, so if they are severed, it's almost like losing a limb.
Celia's roots can indeed shoot through mundane metals and rock, but they cannot break through anything as strong as a zanpakuto. Though Celia does have many roots, she would run out of energy before she could use all of them (reiatsu consumption ftw).
People her own tier and above would be able to cut through her roots, though people of her own tier would find some difficulty, meaning it takes time (up to ten seconds) to hack through the root (depends on physical strength/method of hacking). Someone a single tier above her may find some difficulty depending on the method, but usually a sword will get the job done in four seconds. Someone two tiers above would be able to cut straight through her roots. People one tier below her would be able to cut through with quite a run for their money, taking up to fifteen seconds depending on strength. People three tiers below would take quite some time hacking through, in fact, up to twenty seconds depending on how they hacked, and their methods of doing so, and for people below three tiers below her, it would be nearly impossible to hack through with brute force and a fire-kido would be required.
Espina - Thorn
- Description of Attack - Celia gathers energy in one of her thorns, usually her left elbow, and a swirling green energy will encase the thorn, extending its length by four inches, its width by mere millimeters, and causing damage akin to a bala should it strike a target. However, the damage is more constant. In exchange for being more constant, however, the damage done is roughly a fourth of the strength of one of Celia's bala.
- Type - Offensive
- Range - Four inches from the original end of the thorn, starting at the base of the thorn.
- Limitation - The thorns on her wrists, which are the smallest, also take slightly less energy than the ones on her elbows. Reiatsu consumption is about 5-8% depending on the size of the original thorn. This can be blocked by kido, or even by zanpakuto. In some cases, it can be cut through and dispersed. Damage is done respectively based on tier, in the same manner damage from a bala would be done. The energy shoots out very quickly (about the same speed it takes to launch a bala), and can remain in place for up to ten seconds. Because Celia is exceedingly slow in this state, and immobile, this is usually used in conjunction with Celia's roots.

Sample Post
--------------------
With Darui and Anette out wandering Los Noches, the Novena was left alone with the twins and her notes. Though she would have preferred to lose herself in her reverie, her fraccion, Adela, seemed bent on preventing that from realization.
"Oi, Celia," the fraccion would bark, rudely. "I'm bored; what's there to do around here?"
Celia tried to drown out her fraccion, gritting her teeth in irritation and proceeding to scribble down her irritation on her notepad. Adela leaned over her shoulder, attempting to make out the scribbled words. The ire within her skyrocketed as she turned to Adela with a firey glare and snarled, "If you read these, I will murder you."
"O-oi, baka, you'll kill Neva too!"
Celia's eyes involuntarily flickered to Neva, who sat in silent meditation on the opposite end of the room. Flickering her eyes back up to Adela, they held the same, firey glare as moments ago. Then again, did Adela actually read her thoughts from the notepad? What had she read? How much of that had she seen? "If I catch you snooping through my notepads, I swear I'll... I'll-"
"Snooping? I can't even read your handwriting!" Adela snapped with a roll of her eyes. Neva remained silent.
"What?"
"I mean, your handwriting's so shitty that I can't even read a word of it," Adela explained factually, causing Neva to rush for her sibling before something bad could happen.
"Adela, be quiet," Neva hissed.
Celia glared daggers at Adela. Oh, boy, if looks could ever kill, Celia's was there. Snapping her notepad shut, the woman stood and glared up at her fraccion with a glare so ferocious that Neva continued to plead.
"Celia-sama, I'm sure it was just Adela's idiocy. I doubt she meant you any offense."
Celia laughed dryly and smiled. "Oh, no worries."
Perhaps, if she were like Adela, she would be plotting revenge. Celia, however, had bigger things to attend to. Leaving Adela and Neva in the main room of her castle, she left for her own room to continue her studies in solitude.
Life was strange.
Celia couldn't help the fascination that overtook her when she had become an arrancar. What was the driving force behind that Hogyoku that split them apart? What fueled it? How was it created? Could Aizen-sama have created it? No, that was impossible. She doubted the man had done anything for himself; it seemed that was the reason the man needed this army of hybrids. He didn't need them, he just needed lackeys so he could sit back and enjoy the show. Based on what little of the man she had seen, that wasn't too far off.
Still, the intelligence she had gained from becoming this hybrid was a beautiful thing. She was seeing everything for the first time in centuries. If beauty existed, this was it. Tucking away the pad of paper she had acquired, the woman sit off down the halls, curious. She hadn't had much to do lately, a mere numeros. They never had much to do, not unless they were taken in as fraccion. Celia had yet to be auctioned off like an animal, as she saw it, and she preferred it to stay that way.
However, Celia's reverie was interrupted as she rounded a corner, only to come face to face with--"Out of the wa-OW!"
Celia stood firm as the boy bounced off her, falling to the ground in an exaggerated heap. The red-head stared, perking an eyebrow at the strange display. A moment of silence passed, the boy staring up as though he was afraid of the woman. Celia, in a slightly disgusted tone, broke the silence by saying, "Excuse me. Why are you making such an indignant display?"
"Indignant?"
Celia nodded.
"Na! I was bein' chased by," he turned around, lifting a finger to point behind him, "Wait, where'd Xuan go?"
The red-head stared down at the boy, a strange combination of curious and... just plain weirded-out. Who exactly was this boy running from, why was he scared, and why did he think he was being chased when he obviously was not? The body language, the nervousy, the rate of the breathing, she could see that much; he was genuinely afraid of something.
Celia mentally shrugged. Perhaps the boy was just childish, maybe he irritated another arrancar and was afraid the arrancar had given chase, thus the rapid breathing of relief when he found there was no one behind him, and the panic he showed when he crashed into Celia. Of course, Celia mused, he wouldn't be too far off if he was just afraid of Celia moments ago. If she particularly wanted to fight, maybe she could have done some damage.
"If there's nothing of consequence for you to say, I'll be on my way," Celia remarked quietly before stepping around the boy, who giggled randomly.
"Eheh, that rhymed."
Celia ignored the childish remark. There were a number of things she could do with this, and the first that came to mind was to lock herself away while she analyzed all the possible causes for this childish behavior from a being who was supposedly centuries old. Quietly, she walked, ignoring the calls of the childish arrancar.
