With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Daigoro blinked at the girl's response. Typical. He went off into a completely unrelated topic. He sighed, and looked around. Where was Samuii's reiatsu coming from? he grimaced, and turned back to Rin. He hoped that she hadn't noticed the Arrancar. Because he would therefore have to stop her from attacking. He smiled, and scratched the back of his neck.
"My apologies. I... ramble sometimes..." He laughed slightly, and spoke again. "Hollows are only a threat if you allow them to be. I allowed them to be, and it almost cost me." He then shook his head again. No more about that.
Samuii, you'd better not get noticed. I don't need to be seen as a traitor... He sighed, and sat down on a nearby rock with a small smile to his face.
Something obviously got Diagoro’s attention, not that he would come out and just tell her. It was obvious that they weren’t alone. “Gee, really? Do people think I’m that stupid? Yeah I know I look somewhat like a minor, but seriously?” Rin sighed again and wanted to slap her face in annoyance. If he wasn’t going to come out and outright say it, she would either get whoever was around to show itself or just ignore it. She decided to just ignore it for now, awating Diagoro’s next move.
‘Will he tell me? Probably not. What a joke this sure is starting to become a bother. Oh well, what to do…’ she thought to herself. ‘Well,’ she thought starting things off, ‘I guess I could expose whoever’s there myself, but then again, I don’t know about this guy. He seems like he’s more ready to protect an arrancar rather than his fellow shinigami…hmm…what to do what to do…’ Rin just gave a somewhat of a bored look.
“Oh really? It almost cost you?” she first asked, then started to get in a little deeper. “So, is that your friend out there?” Rin asked and just looked at a little scratch on her hand seeming like she didn’t care. “Is that the Arrancar who had saved you? I mean come on, I’m sure you’ve noticed it already. And if you’ve noticed it without saying a word to me, then that only means you recognize that reiatsu; which makes you guilty of hiding the fact that you’ve noticed it. What? You think I’m going to go all rash and kill mode, you should get to know people before you start the judgment call.” Rin told him obviously noticing what he noticed, a part of her was a little irritated with the fact that he would pretend that no one else was around. While the other part was not caring and would rather go to bed for the next day’s work.
Samuii frowned. She had been too careless, and now, they both knew she was there. So much for 'secretly eavesdropping'.
Well, now that she was caught, might as well roll with it.
"I could never hide from you, Gorodo. Have you been stalking me?" she joked, sitting up and letting her legs dangle from the branch, "I'd move, but I happen to find this spot very comfortable."
She yawned and continued, "So, aside from that wonderful conversation I was so kindly eavesdropping on, what brings you back to town? I heard you got a promotion, Mr. Important Lieutenant Person. Did that short Captain Bitch Ninja send you here or what?"
Pausing, she turned her head towards the vizard, not knowing whether they saw her anyway, "And you, Vizard Girl-Child," she began, "My name is Samuii Verano, and I don't like you." she said, feigning cheerfulness. "There. Pleasantries are over."
"So, you finally make your presense known. Took you long enough." He turned towards the tree where the Arrancar was speaking from, and laughed softly. Of course, she was already badmouthing his Captain. Not that he cared, mind you, as everyone was entitled to their own opinion. "I kept fighting Samyeru. You know, when we had to get Hotaru? Anyway, I got myself landed on patrol here for a while." He then turned back to Rin and sighed.
"I'm not making a judgement of you. I simply... trust Samuii a lot more than I trust you. Yeah, she's the girl who saved my life back then - and I haven't forgotten since. I don't forget it when I owe my life to someone..." He smiled softly. Why was he being so open to this girl. He decided that going any further would prove unethical. With a sigh, he sat back down on the rock.
"Well well, you show yourself and partly try me out by saying something like that. You're nice" she told her sarcastically. "Hi to you too, I'm Rin, and I think you're a bitch" she said bluntly and had the face of 'I'm tired so I could care less' face. She shrugged to herself and sighed. 'Heh, wow, there people sure are an interesting couple... not that they're a couple, but a shinigami and an arrancar?' she sighed at that thought, 'what's the difference now, I guess I was right to judge humanity in such bad ways, they can't even make up their mind' she thought more sarcastically to herself.
She looked at Diagoro, "Look, like I said, I could care less. But there are others out there that would probably think something else, and what their opinions are are probably not the best ones" she told him with an obvious truth to it. "Now that I think about it, earlier, when I was chasing that arrancar, I'm pretty sure I was chasing her out of facination. It's not like I was going to get into a senseless fight with her..." she told him, 'even though I probably would' she added in her head.
When the Vizard Girl-Child, who now identified herself as Rin (ugly name, really) called her a bitch, Samuii couldn't help but laugh.
"Thank you. I do try my best. And you should already know that by now, Goruko." she said with a smirk, finally deciding to hop off the branch and landed on the street, not too far away. She walked towards the two, without the leaves blocking her view, she finally had a good look at Rin. "You're shorter than I thought you were."
When Daichi mentioned that other arrancar, Samyeru, she frowned, absentmindedly rubbing her arm as she leaned on one of those tall street lamp posts. "Samyeru...that wolf guy, right? Bastard left bite marks on my arms!"
She huffed once, knowing that it was partly her fault that he attacked her in the first place. After all, she was the one that sort of...almost killed the small, green haired one. Samuii looked at her hand, examining her nails as Rin continued to...how do you call it...ramble about arrancars, and chasing them, and thoughts, and other things that she couldn't be bothered to care about.
"Hm, so that one you were chasing after, she killed some innocent humans? Eat an unsuspecting bystander's soul? Oh, wait, you were chasing after her because of fascination!" she remarked, "What, praytell, is just so fascinating about her anyway? She looks like a regular arrancar to me."
Daigoro sighed, before laughing softly. Really. These two... interested him, somewhat. Samuii because of... obvious reasons, and Rin was a strange one. Chasing an Arrancar out of fascination? It sounded amazingly impossible, but Daigoro was no stranger to that sort of thing. And the insults. It was pretty damned obvious that neither girl liked the other one much, and Daigoro was never much for mediating this sort of thing. He'd just have to stand by and watch.
Then Samuii mentioned how she had been attacked and bitten by Samyeru, and he sighed.
"I guess that makes us just as bad as each other..." He then turned back to Rin, still confused about her statement.
"Out of... fascination? Really? I wouldn't have thought so, myself."
'I'm short?' Rin thought to herself at Samuii's mean comment. Her right eye twiched a little and she gave a grin while simultaneously gritting her teeth. 'Why you! I outa shut you up and pound you to the ground! URGH!!' she thought really wanting to sock someone. With Diagoro there, and Samuii being his friend and all, Rin couldn't possibly do something to the girl. She would be outnumbered, and Diagoro would have a red stamp mark across his head saying 'TRAITOR!' Instead, she just sighed, "heh, at least I'm no ugly freak like you!" she retorted back. Such dislikement, there was in no way in hell that RIn would get along with her.
"Yeah I said fascination! So what?" she said countering back on her defense. "Unlike normal arrancars and hollows, I would think that this girl would be considered a freak to her kind" she started off. "You know why?" she said raising her voice as if she were in an argument and was about to tell the other person what they did. "It's because she doesn't eat other human souls or shinigami. Instead, she goes around and eats the damn hollows before we get there and do our job. And yeah yeah, I know. We should think that that's good right? But no. The girl causes so much destruction when she's around here, she kills and injures humans the same was as she eats the hollows. It's like a wild animal that got off her leash, and she doesn't even act like her own specie. Like a dog acting like a cat" she told them.
Samuii huffed and continued to look at her nails as Rin described to them, in all its thrilling detail, as to why the arrancar she was chasing fascinated her. It was such a pathetic excuse, she should be thankful for whoever that arrancar was for taking care of hollows before they could do any more damage to the human population.
"That's it? Because she eats hollow? Child, do you even know how hollow evolve into Menos? It's by eating other hollow. So what if this arrancar eats hollow? She likes the taste. In fact, you should be thankful that she's making your job easier. Who cares if she causes chaos and destruction? Don't tell me you don't either. It's just arrancar nature. Seriously, would you rather have her eating humans or hollows? Goodness."
She was about to slip into apathy again, when she suddenly remembered that Rin had called her an 'ugly freak'. Normally, she wouldn't care about such comments and completely ignore them, but for some reason, when the vizard said it, she simply snapped. "Ugly?!" she called out, a vein throbbing on her forehead as her eye twitched slightly, "Why you...you...excusa patética por una vaca!" she yelled in Spanish. Shaking her fist, she continued her long string of Spanish insults, saying, "Tu cara desgracias al sol! Esconderse debajo de una roca, que comadreja grasa!"
Samuii cursed in Spanish. Against the sun.
This Vizard really did annoy her to no end.
Fortunately, Gogoro was there, or else something bad would have definitely happened by now.
Daigoro understood some Spanish. It was really limited to the names he usually heard from the Arrancar. But he noticed something about Samuii insulting the sun, and he realised that Rin had REALLY pissed her off, seeing as the sun was a pretty big thing. He sighed, and put one hand onto the sword that was sheathed on his right hip. He really hoped it wouldn't get ugly. If it did, he was going to have to somehow explain that he actually wasn't a traitor. He sighed again, and knelt down. Really, now. How was he going to fix this? Daigoro looked up at the two women, and spoke.
"Come on, calm down. You both need to grow up somewhat." His hair that now hung down to the small of his back blew slightly in the wind as he spoke.
"I know how you feel, Rin. But you must understand, I don't hate Arrancar for what they are. They're simply intelligent Hollow, right? And the Hollow only eat souls out of instinct, a way to survive. So once something gains some sort of intelligence, it's murder in my eyes." Daigoro yawned. Another random ramble from the house of Ito, huh? He laughed to himself.
