General Information
--------------------
Name: Sanosuke Omoi (Surname, First name)
Actual Age: 178
Appearing Age: 17, if you catch him w/o bandages
Gender: Male
Appearance
Let's start with the obvious, the man is covered in medical wraps, and I mean from head to toe. The only things that are visible are the whites of his yellow eyes and black hair that hangs from the top of his head. His hair dangles around his oval face, having spiky tips, and the presence of white markings lay on top of the hair. It hangs non-parted in the front of his head only parting slightly for his eyes to be seen. This is a natural occurrence, which bring up questions that either are too embarrassing to answer or just too stupid. Though he is fairly young, based off his appearance many believe he is far older, perhaps in his mid to late thirties. However, his voice can add to the confusion as it is of a young man, with a slight accent and a small speech impediment with his ‘sEand ‘thE
Due to the amount of medical wraps he wears, many believe it is due to some sort of full body injury such as burns or scars, this is false. His skin is of the dark olive variety and a handsome face. Omoi is lean, tall, and his body is well maintained. As he exercises at least once a day, in solitary, Omoi's body is in top condition allowing him to maintain one hundred and sixty pounds. Standing at five eight, just under Isane, still making her the tallest of Division Four much to her dismay on the subject.
Omoi is seen wearing an average shinigami uniform with only one alteration. Around the neck wear the collar should be, he had added a black hood with a white trim to match the sleeves. He wears his zanpakuto on the right side of his obi and draws it with his right hand.
Personality
Omoi is not a happy person, he is a downer. He can find anything wrong with the happiest moments of life, love, and even bliss. Because of this, most people that know him tend to avoid him as if he were a leper. Most of what he says is either of the doom that will befall him or the fact that a certain thing can potentially kill them. This is a product of the early years of his life living with a very protective, paranoid family.
Omoi's paranoia results in extreme pessimism, as he often disregards any possibility of survival or finds the most depressing way in which to express the odds of surviving an encounter. If he is ever caught in any sort of battle or about to be involved in any mission, he'll whip out a parchment and begin to right his own will. He's also a hypochondriac, often complaining of an apparently growing yet never visible rash or some other ailment, though no one can see if he really is sick or not. He is afraid of the sun above all other fears, hence the bandages. He would rather not leave the protection of his quarters just to avoid direct sunlight, but because he is a Medical Shinigami he puts on the bandages to calm himself enough to leave.
But this is just the part most people see or avoid. Deep down, in the heat of adrenaline, Omoi will find that his fear will give what he calls "False Bravery". For his comrades, he will go to the extremes to help them, though not directly fighting but to heal them. This part of his persona embodies his zanpakuto's ability and those add another reason to wear the bandages. *see ability for details
Now for those rare moments where he can relax, he likes to do origami while wearing protective eye-wear. It enjoys making paper cranes due to the old legend that if you fold one thousand paper cranes that you will be granted a wish. Nearly obsessed with this, Omoi makes one thousand before he sleeps and writes his wish on the thousandth one so he can sleep better at night. His wish? Well that would be that he will wake the next morning for another day of survival. He had become so good at folding the cranes that he can do it within hours before he sleeps.
His favorite food is Tofu with a small amount of soy sauce and avoids most other foods that he didn't prepare himself. He avoids anything spicy, bitter, and sweet, as it irritates his throat. He also believes he is lactose intolerant, avoiding anything dairy based. If he consumes, he'll freak out in a comical gagging fashion. {it's in his head}
It should be noted, though as silly it may seem, Omoi does have an interest in a woman. It has caused great strife in his body to even see her and gives him a slight fainting scare when he is within even a few feet of her. Oh, I guess I should mention her name, though you'll laugh, it's Nemu Kurotsuchi.
History
Human
Omoi had been a risk loving child ever since he was born. He climbed on pianos, jumped of the roof, and even picked fights with older boys. Being an orphan at such an age, caused him to act out on the world and no one really seemed to care to stop him. Omoi knew that one cared for him, that's why he acted out, he wanted attention, and he would do anything to get it.
It was only after he found out what happened to his parents that he truly felt alone. They didn't even want him and that caused him great pain. After he learned to truth he stayed in his room at times and would act hatefully toward anyone who wanted to adopt him. "I'm not letting anyone take me away just so can abandon me."
He was so full of hate, the social workers didn't know how to deal with him anymore. They talked to the Orphanage Head, discussing what to do with him though they didn't know he was ease dropping. They were going to take him away to a home for boys just like him, take him away from the only place he knew to be home. So he decided, if he was going to leave, then it will be on his terms.
Packing up his stuff, Omoi ran away to find a place of his own, but he didn't how tough the streets would be. It was hard for a ten year old to live off the streets, having to learn to steal to live and if he were caught they'd take him back. Back to the orphanage where they'll send him to that House for troubled boys. But that vision didn't last, as one night he stole from someone he shouldn't have.
It was dark, Omoi didn't know the unspoken rule about never steal from the Yakuza. He didn't know what they would do to him if he were caught. How would he, he's only ten. Once he got the money, they came after him, relentless. He couldn't hide forever, Omoi knew that much. They had people looking for him everywhere, nowhere was safe, and he was alone.
It took them longer then they wanted, a few months in fact to find Omoi. He was hidden in an abandon building that the Yakuza were using has a base of operations. Not only were they pissed about the money, the fact that he was under their nose the whole time took them over the edge. They tied Omoi up to a chair, a large man came up to him, and showed him his hand. "You see this, this is because of you." The man had his pinkie cut off, from his failure as a Currier. But before Omoi could say anything, the man slammed his fist in Omoi's jaw.
The pain was overwhelming, as the man used Omoi to relief his anger. It took hours before Omoi passed out and only a second for him to die.
Plus
Omoi was there when they took care of his body. Some lantern oil and a candle was all it took for him to witness his body turn to ash. It caused something inside to click, that because of his recklessness, he died. He needed to be more careful, anything could have killed him. He was in shock as the warehouse burned around him, holding himself and remembering ever little thing that could have gone wrong with his stunts.
Jumping off the roof could have broken his legs, causing him to lose them or worse death from infection. Even the simplest of activity of eating caused him to think of a possible way that would have resulted in his death. The fire soon faded but the light never did. What was the greatest source of fire? The thought came to mind as a sun beam crept toward him, his eyes showing great terror as it came closer and closer. He moved away to the safety of shadows, until he was grabbed by a large hand.
The hand was from a large Hollow, who licked his lips when he saw the fear in Omoi's eyes. But it soon screamed when another Hollow ripped its hand through the others chest. Omoi was in shock once more, it had only been a few days since his death and now his soul was going to be eaten. However that was not the case.
The Hollow picked up Omoi, giving him a look over before it opened a Garganta and took Omoi to Hueco Mundo. Why was it doing this to me? Where is it taken me? So many questions ran through his head as he looked at the white sands of Hueco Mundo, the Snake like Hollow held Omoi in her coiled tail. She brought him to a cave, where she began to treat him like a pet. Having him move things around the cave, hit him when he tried to escape, and even fed him some old food she had acquired.
He was her captive that much was sure, toying with him as if she enjoyed the cat and mouse game. She would tell him that tomorrow will be the day every night before she would fall asleep, that is until a week had passed, and he was able to leave. She had left a small crack in the opening that was normally covered by a large boulder. Like a tiny mouse, he squeezed through, slipping away from that vile Naga-like Hollow, though that was probably a mistake. He was stuck in a world where danger was everywhere, and everything wanted to eat him. He needed to find a way back to the human world, his world before he was eaten.
Avoiding sight was easy enough, as he was so small compared to anything else here. It took him some time to hitch a ride back to the Human World, he managed to hop on a turtle like hollow, where its shell kept it from noticing the extra weight. As he returned to the Human world, a Shinigami quickly dispatched the Hollow to discover Omoi. But much to both of them, Omoi had not been in Hueco Mundo for only a week but for six months and that his chain was gone. Omoi had passed on from being a normal Plus and had awakened his reiastu through his journey.
After a quick Konso, Omoi found himself in Soul Society, memories of the events forgotten but the fears remained. Nothing of great happened during his time before his enrollment, he lived with a loving old couple that tried their best to comfort him about the nightmares he had. Nightmares of fire that consumed the deepest part of his Psyche, which would forever hunt his mind.
Soul Society
Having been through such an ordeal as Plus, Omoi decided to make his life as safe as he could. It was upon his medical examination that he had gathered the thought process to protect himself from the sun, by wrapping his entire body with wrappings. Much to his surprise, they were allowed to stay as long as they did not impede his education.
As the years went by, Omoi was the butt of the jokes, teased constantly, and even bullied. IT couldn't be helped, he was no longer the same kid he was as a human, and he was scared of everything. He tried his best to learn skills to protect himself, but even then some were just too scary. The worst was shunpo, moving at such speeds made him think that he could trip cover a stone and fly through the air where he'll crack his skull. Kido seemed to fascinate him more than anything else, as it had spells to erect barriers to protect him. So he spent the majority of his time concentrating on the applications of different kido spells and found medical kido to be quite useful.
He studied hard for many years, not much would have changed from his life in the Shinōreijutsuin. He was still the butt of the jokes, even when he mustered the courage to learn Kendo. His form was so poor, but that didn't discourage him from practice the basics. Once he got the basics down, he moved on the hand to hand combat training. If he were to be an effective medic, then he needed to learn to have fast hands so he can move to the next patient. He was lucky that his street fighting experience did not fade away like his memory of the orphanage, but the memory of the fire will never go away.
Nightmares of that night would be haunting him every night causing him to sleep in a barrack by himself. It was ok that way, he rather liked the solitude. It was then that a different dream came from the nightmare of fire. It started with the sound of drip of water echoing from deep with his mind. He couldn't find where the drip was coming from, always getting closer away from the fire. Each night it was the same, the drips would get louder until he reached a cave.
The cave was dark, too dark for Omoi. And was that breathing coming from the cave? Now instead of fire, he was face to face with a cave with fire at his back. He was between a rock and a hard place when it came to his sleeping. During training, he would often wonder what to do, which one is worse, and this itching feeling that he should go in that cave. But not until he completed the complicated process of mustering the courage to do so.
And that mustering took a whole year as he found a way to get it by making a wish. By reading an old book sent to him by that lovely couple that raised him, it contained an old legend about the folding of paper cranes to make a wish to please the gods. It was then that his quest for courage came to be and started the habit of making Origami Cranes. It took him nearly another year to make all the cranes, and wrote the wish in the last one before he passed out from the exhaustion.
As he entered the dream world, he was face to face with the cave and a large gulp was made. He took the first step into the cave, a candle light lit a path in the nearly pitch-black cave came, and leading Omoi deeper in the cave. Each step he came closer to the center, where the dripping noise was loudest. He stood face to face, or rather bandaged face to cloaked face, to a strange being. "Finally, you've come to us." The voice was echoed as if many different people were speaking in unison.
The being was quiet for some time, as if waiting for Omoi to ask something. Omoi was nervous, he didn't know what to say or what to do. "Um...What is this place?" Avoiding the question he wanted to ask, as the conversation went on.
It stayed quiet as it motioned with its robed hands high in the air. "This is your soul and I lived here for many years waiting for you to come." The echoed voice said as it lowered its hands waiting for another question. But that would wait as Omoi woke from the dream and continued with his everyday life. Training, the folding of cranes, and the strange conversations with the being in the cave, that was his life until he graduated.
It seemed fate had plans for him after all as he did his duties as an officer without a division. His daily life consisted of the same until another night in the world with the being in the cave. This time he was going to ask what he's been wondering all this time, which was this being. It came quicker each time, as he became more comfortable in the cave as he came to enjoy the solitude it could bring. It is time for to know who you are? That was obvious who it was, but Omoi needed to be sure.
The being was among the mist again, still mysterious as ever. "We welcome you back, Omoi." Once again in the unison speak, it waited to hear what Omoi had to say.
Omoi stood for a second, thinking and gathering as much courage as he could. Then a thought came to his head, he finally realized that he didn't need to ask who the being was. "I came to ask who you are, but that isn't needed." The being nodded as it listened to Omoi, finally understanding each other on a new level.
That was the day that Omoi achieved his Shikai, it was then that he had to train his new found power. It would take him another fifty years to understand the meaning behind his Shikai. To heal the many by taking their pain away and letting himself be the one to take it. This made his decision on which division to join all the more easier.

Name: Monkurīchi
Translation - Monk Leech
Unreleased Appearance
Monkurīchi takes the form a Kodachi. It is 59 cm in total length and has a plain hilt with no design on it. The hilt and sheath are wrapped in white wrapping like Omoi, and has had the hilt removed for his own safety. Like Omoi, the wrappings hide Monkurīchi's true colors. If by some unforeseen occurrence that the wrappings were ever cut, a brilliant emerald color will shine through. This emerald is on both the sheath and hilt, shining in the light like the gem it represents.
--------------------
Zanpakutō Spirit
--------------------
Name: Monkurīchi
Gender: Unknown
Spirit Appearance
All that can be seen of Monkurīchi is the emerald robe that covers the entirety of its body. The hood darkens its face hiding any visible facial features or anyway to identify its gender. When it speaks, its voice sounds as if hundreds of different people are speaking those adding to the confusion to Monkurīchi's gender. Even Omoi is too nervous around it, that he does not dare ask it what its gender is.
Monkurīchi is as tall as Omoi, but nothing else can be easily determined. The robes flow so loosely that its body shape cannot be seen. It does have a human shape as it will lift the arms once in a while or what around in the mist of the inner world inside Omoi's soul.
When it speaks, it always speaks about itself with the term 'weE or 'our' such as 'We are pleased to see you again" or "You seek our advice once more, Omoi". It is always in a voice of unison, with both male and female voices, though it is one body.
Personality
Monkurīchi is calm, collective, and above all else wise. It will give advice when asked, but often keeps to itself. It prefers solitude and quiet mediation, disliking any kind of noise that disrupts it. It is very polite, talking in a respectful etiquette about even the most useless of things. It hates anything or place salty, such as the beach or crackers, so it makes sure to tell Omoi when he gets even a mile of anything salt related.
Anything else about Monkurīchi is surrounded in mystery, as it does not talk about itself to Omoi has he is not ready to know.
Relationship to Master
Monkurīchi and Omoi have a strange relationship. Omoi is usually too nervous around Monkurīchi, while Monkurīchi is too Cryptic. It will help when asked but will not openly ask if it is needed. Omoi only managed to learn his Shikai skill only after making a series of two thousand cranes to make the wish for the courage to ask for Shikai training. They share a lot in common, they both share a liking to help others and both have a fear for salt, though for different reasons. Omoi fears having a heart attack, while Monkurīchi as yet to reveal why it fears salt.
Inner World
A dark cave, lit with candles, and filled with a dark mist. Sounds of leaking stalactites are heard echoing throughout the area. The candle's flames flicker with a small breeze coming from deep inside, as if it were breathing. The candles light a path that lead to where Monkurīchi waits.

Call Out Phrase : Latch on the wound, Monkurīchi
Translation - N/A
Shikai Appearance
An Extension Knife that is 10" closed. This unique weapon has a 9" stainless steel hidden blade that that looks like a syringe tip, with a small hole at the very tip with a green glow to it, and locks into place with a simple slide. A release button on his pinkie allows it to slide and retract. The knife has a black and white antique finish handle with lashing rings. It is attached to his right arm by silver straps. Underneath the straps, five small prongs align them. These prongs turn into small needles that will insert themselves into Omoi's arm to release a black Liquid.
Shikai Abilities
Rīchi no chiryō (Treatment of the Leech)
- Description of Attack - First, he injects the syringe like blade in the patient, in the heart would be best, the n moves his pinkie to start the process. The trigger on the pinkie allows a glowing green liquid to enter the patients, letting it go through his/hers blood stream to go to all the open wounds on/in the body. The liquid doesn't flow out of the body, stopping at the wounds to begin the healing process.
Secondly, after a minute to two minutes depending on the severity of the wounds, Omoi uses his pinkie to trigger the syringe like blade to suck up the glowing green liquid, though now it is a deep dark green. As it is removed from the body, the patient is healed of his injuries and Omoi can move to the next one.
Once the liquid turns black, it begins to enter Omoi's body through a several small needles on the inside of the straps, Omoi begins to receive all the wounds that were present on the patients. Because of this, he keeps his body covered with bandages so prevent mass bloodless when he needs to use this ability.- Type - Healing
- Range - Close
- Limitation - The liquid in the syringe turns black it gives the wounds to Omoi. Now the color change process depends on the number of wounds, the severity of the wounds, and the number of patients. Injuries of the light variety, ones that normal kido would take too long to heal, on eight patients who only have a few will turn the liquid black after the eighth injection. Injuries of the heavy variety, such has third degree burns and internal bleeding, on two patients will allow two injections.
As this is a purely healing ability, there is no damage their based system. He receives the damage from all patients, making him only use this for emergency medical treatment on the field. The treatment time depends on the severity of the wounds, light injures would only take a minute for the liquid to reach the wounds, stop the blood from leaving the body, and healing it. While Heavy injuries would take three minutes to cycle through the process.
Wounds that require more attention, such as those of lost limbs are not affected by this technique, unless the limb had been reattached beforehand as to prevent Omoi from losing the same limb. With wounds dealt by those of higher tiers have an effect on the Omoi when it comes to healing. His tier plays a role in the healing process as well. In mathematical terms( x-y= </> of Omoi’s Tier), you take the tier of the inflictor (x) subtract the victim’s tier (y) and that answer will affect the process depending if it is higher or lower then Omoi’s tier. If the resulted tier is higher than Omoi’s, the effect of the wound is the same with an added increase to pain. If the resulted tier is lower, than Omoi’s damage is the same with no added pain.
As for lethal wounds , wounds of the lowest survival rate will not be of any effect of this skill. When I say no effect, I mean the liquid will not allow Omoi to put his life on the line like that and such will change from green to red to indicate its refusal. When Omoi sees the red, he knows it’s a lost cause for him, and seeks to limit the pain as much as he can.

Sample One
"No, no, no, no! I refuse!" Omoi said making an X with his arms as someone came to his room, trying to enter the locked door. Omoi was not done writing his will to leave on the mission just yet and those that he was to accompany kept trying to enter, yelling from outside the room
"Get your ass out of there, you bandaged freak. You are the only one of the Fourth Division available and I need to leave NOW!" The rough voice, screamed from outside the door, but Omoi was not having it. He needed to finish so that if he were to die, they'll have some way of knowing what to do with his belongings.
As he signed it, pouring sand over the fresh ink, and dusting it away, Omoi was pleased with his latest Testament. So he sealed it and left it on his desk so he can leave on the dangerous mission that will surely end his life, sewer duty.
Sample Two
So here he was again, healing another member of the eleventh division after another 'training' match. Don’t they know that even drawing their sword that they could get a small cut and that cut could get infected causing internal damage then death. Such thoughts always ran through his head as he applied simple medical treatment to the man.
He seemed to be giving Omoi a strange look as Omoi wrapped the cut on his arm. Eye brow cocked up he asked. "Why is this bandaged freak treating my wounds? Where are those pretty nurses?" The man was obviously drunk from his breath and the slight redness on his nose and cheeks.
If Omoi's face was visible, the man could probably tell that Omoi was disgusted by the scent. "Did you know that over consumption of liquor will lead to a poor liver?" He said calmly as he finished the wrapping.
"So what? As long as I get my drink, it doesn't matter." The man blurted back as he got control of his arm.
" Well, a poor liver will cause the alcohol in the sake to spill out into other parts of your body. The alcohol continues to circulate in the body until the liver is able to metabolize it. This can be a very slow process depending on how much alcohol has been consumed. It is also very taxing on the liver and if continued over a span of time can permanently damage the liver. The liver is a major component of metabolism in the body but it also handles glycogen storage, the synthesis of plasma proteins, the production of hormones, and detoxification of the body. If you put anything in your mouth and swallow it, then the liver will interact with it at some point. Without a functioning liver a body cannot survive. In short, you will die." A long winded explanation on how if the man were to continue to sake he would die over time. This caused some of the other patients to shiver from the thought or cover their head with a pillow to drown out the explanation.
The man had a different face on now, one of confusion. He didn't understand half of what Omoi said and the parts he did understand made him sick. He was about to run out of the room but he felt weak and fainted on the bed.
Omoi didn't mind that, it made it more quiet for him to finish his duties. The nurse outside looked inside, a nervous sweat dripped down her face. Has Omoi walked out she back stepped from him as she handed him the chart in her hand. It seemed that she was scared of his appearance as well.
He grabbed the chart to look it over and noticed a slight paper cut on the nurse’s finger. But before he could tell her how that cut to lead to her death, she left him there with his wrapped finger in the air and him looking all blankly. "She must have went to clean that paper cut."
