General Information
--------------------
Name: Amami Kazeshi
Actual Age: 210
Appearing Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance
A girl who is what many would call beautiful, Amami is proud of her appearance. Standing at five foot eight and weighing in at 135 pounds, she is slightly taller and fuller than most women. Her blonde hair falls down to her mid back in an unnaturally straight fashion. Her bangs hang just far enough down such that they cover her forehead and lightly block the top of her eyes. These bangs lead down to a pair of extraordinarily vibrant blue eyes. These eyes are the most colorful thing about Amami's face as they offset the pale complexion that is her skin tone. The rest of her face is thin which finishes in a thin, pointed chin.
This chin points down to her torso which is almost lanky with a slight curve in its nature. This torso contains a normal sized bust (about a C cup) which doesn't stand out about amongst the luscious bodies of the Seireitei. Her torso branches out into a set of long arms that lead to big hands which possess long, spindly fingers. Her arms and torso don't hold a lot of muscle tone and just appear to be thin.
The torso accompanies a lanky set of legs that lead down to a set of big feet which is the only aspect of her body that she's self-conscious about. These legs continue the trend of not having much muscle tone and being longer than that of most girls. These legs seem to take up a disproportionately amount of her height giving her the appearance of a short torso and a lengthened lower body.
Over her larger than average body, she wears the standard Shinigami uniform with the exception of a dark red, low-cut undershirt and a red obi sash as opposed to the normal white. On her uniform, she wears her katana on her left hip such that she can draw it with her right hand easily. When in a Gigai, she wears her undershirt with a blue jacket over top. On her legs she wears khaki pants which lead down to what are typically a pair of high heels.
Personality
Amami is a very polite person with a very extensive set of noble mannerisms. She doesn't point out people's faults and can withstand almost any level of social discomfort. Even when she knows things have been pushed to the limit, she will remain calm in this scenario and politely tell them to back away. This makes her look incredibly unemotional and apathetic to most things, which is true in some regards.
Coupled with this politeness is a very prideful air that seems to emulate from nowhere. Amami was by no means born into any sort of nobility or higher status but she acts very much like royalty. Amami is quick to turn up her nose to things she deems "common" or not "worthy" or her precious time. She will never voice this mentality out loud or look down upon others in a social setting; that would impolite of her.
Amami extends this pride to the social setting as she deems things that don't follow her own strict rules as "common". She abides by most social protocol but also has created some social rules of her own. There's no real reason behind any of these rules of hers; she really just makes them up. This may make her seem distant or conceited, which isn't a wrong assumption by any means.
In terms of companionship, Amami seems to greatly prefer the company of women as opposed to men. She denies that a woman would ever need a man for any reason and considers herself strongly independent for this reason. She likes to think that all women inherently share this belief so she holds no qualms in expressing this belief in a public setting, so long as she is mainly around women. Amami only really expresses herself when around a mainly female audience.
History
Part I- Early Life in the Rukongai
Amami was born to a humble family in a lazy section of the Rukongai. She grew up on a mantra of manners and etiquette in the face of any trouble that she may ever come across. Her parents taught her that just because she wasn't nobility, it didn't mean that she could just go around and amount to nothing. Thus, she set her sights on becoming a Shinigami, such that she could amount to everything her parents expected and more.
This ambition from her childhood (around age sixty) would persist into her young adulthood. Around the time she turned a century, she was to be blessed with a great addition in her life. A younger brother, Arashi, was born into the family and her world dynamic changed suddenly, when she wasn't helping with the family store she was helping take of Arashi until he was old enough to actually manage himself(about age 50).
It was around this point that Amami started to notice a difference in her and Arashi's upbringing. Their parents seemed to not care to instill the same manners and values in Arashi that they had in Amami. This made her a little resentful at her parents, but not at Arashi. She loved her little brother and wanted him to grow up the way she had such that he could have the proper qualifications to go on to amount to great things. Due to this, whenever she was alone with Arashi she was overly strict with him concerning his behavior. It caused a little sibling resentment, but Amami ignored this...her mindset was good for him to share.
However, friction would come when Amami finally tried to apply for the Shinoreijutsuin. During the test, she apparently showed no aptitude for manipulating reiatsu. This angered her past the ability of being able to hide it with manners. She fell into a deep depression and her parents seemed to understand how much this upset her. They asked Arashi not to bother her which made her even sadder. Whenever she wanted to cheer up with her brother, she couldn't because he had been told to make himself scarce. However, eventually she decided to try to put that behind her and try to get in again.
Part II- Late Life in the Rukongai
After thirty years of focus and some kind of training, Amami tried again to get into the Shinoreijutsuin. She would fail again with the same problem as well as the well-meant advice that perhaps she shouldn't keep trying to achieve something she might not be meant for. She took this hard and considered what her life could be like if she didn't get out of the Rukongai. How would she set an example for her little brother if she couldn't get out of the Rukongai? What good was she then?
Amami ran home with her eyes full of tears and flopped onto her bed. She really wanted to become a Shinigami and all these set backs were ruining her motivation to do so. However, a sharp knock at her door made her wipe her eyes and put on a small smile as she prepared to face her brother.
"Neesan..."
"Hai Arashi?" He seemed to have such curiosity in his eyes as he was getting ready to ask his question. She sincerely hoped that she could help him with what he needed.
"Can I ask you about the test?" Why had Arashi asked her this? Didn't he know how it upset her to hear about this? Why was he purposefully trying to hurt her? What had she done to warrant this sort of hurt from her beloved younger brother? Her face got red as she fought back tears from how hurt she was.
"Look! I worked as hard as I could on that damn test. If you think you could do better then take it. But I won't have you making fun of me!" As she finished, she crossed her arms and exhaled loudly. This was an attempt to get Arashi to leave as fast as she could; she couldn't handle almost crying from this.
Bowing his head, Arashi held his hands together and poked his index fingers together nervously. In a very quiet voice he began to talk: "I was going to ask you what was on the test Neesan."At this, Amami's face got even redder as it was getting harder and harder to not cry. She had wanted so much to pass that test and prove what she would become so Arashi could look up to her and follow her example. It was so hard for her to keep it together like this.
"They tested to see if I had any reiastu alright?! And I didn't! Laugh it up Arashi, go ahead. Your Neesan's a failure, she knows. You know, why don't you take the test? I'd love to see you feel humiliated for a change." As her brother ran from her room, she flung herself onto her bed and let out a long cry at what she had done. She had never wanted to be so mean to Arashi but she didn't know what else to do to get him out. It was improper to cry in front of one's siblings.
About the time she had composed herself enough to come down and see her parents, Arashi came busting in to the house and told them all that he was to be a Shinigami now. That seemed to wound her even more as she thought that now her brother would lay the path for her instead of the other way around. This was a direct shot at her pride as she stood up and began to hold back the tears again.
""GET OUT!!! Leave this place and never come back you ungrateful little shit! I don't have a brother!"
Her precious little brother would only stay one more day before he left and never came back. She wanted to apologize before he left, but Amami could not swallow her pride in order to bring herself to do it. She let her little brother go into the Shinoreijutsuin without even a well-wish.
Part III-Discovery of Inner Hollow
A few days after Arashi got accepted into the Shinoreijutsuin, Amami took a small trip to a forest nearby where she decided to take a small break from her woes. She found a small meadow where she could sit and reflect on the problem which plagued her. She didn't know how to feel about the fact that Arashi had gotten into the Shinoreijutsuin before her.
"Why can't I manipulate my reiatsu?"
"Maybe because I won't let you," said a deep voice, seemingly out of nowhere. Amami stood up and looked around and failed to see anyone there who could have produced such a sound. She then sat down and convinced herself it was just the wind.
"You know I'm not just the wind Amami."
"Whoever's trying to mess with me is in big trouble as soon as I figure out who you are." She looked around again, flustered this time. She had come here to get away from everyone; Amami didn't need someone bothering her and upsetting her further. However, part of her doubted that there was anybody else. Perhaps the voice came from within. "Who are you?"
"I'm a piece of you, the best piece of you. Submit to me and I'll give you the control you need. Submit to my power and know your own." Amami thought about this for a moment before deciding to agree to this strange voice. It seemed that this would be her only way to follow her dreams and finally get into the Shinoreijutsuin was if she could obtain whatever power this voice spoke of.
"Alright, once your power is to my liking I will take it and consume you into me. Until then, you are free to follow your petty whims." With that, the presence of the voice was gone. Something else began to happen as well, Amami felt something begin to well up inside her that hadn't been there before. This felt...good. It was like she was being filled with a warm feeling that just pervaded her. She stood up and resolved that next time she applied, she would get in. That was that and nothing would stop her from that. She then went back home and slept a deeper sleep than she ever had.
The next day, Amami felt much better about herself. Even her parents noticed a change within her and commented upon how much better she "felt". Not looked, not sounded, but felt. Being around her was just easier now because of her aura. This was exciting news for Amami as she noticed that this feeling seemed to only increase as she went on. After about four years of this euphoria, she decided that she would try again to get into the Shinoreijutsuin.
This time, she had a lot more success on the test and they gladly told her that she could get into the Shinoreijutsuin. She returned to her parents with the good news and made her way to the Academy to follow in the footsteps of her younger brother.
Part IV-Shinoreijutsuin
When Amami got into the Shinoreijutsuin, she noticed how much older she was than all her class mates. She was pushing two-hundred and the majority of her classmates were only around 130-140. It almost didn't make sense to her until she realized that Arashi had gotten in at age 95. She was just a late bloomer it seemed.
Due to her age and pride Amami had an extremely hard time even beginning to make friends. She decided that all the men among her class were dull and all the women were too wrapped up in the men. It was here that she determined that women didn't need men because men would only bring about their detriment. This mindset of hers made her rather disagreeable amongst her classmates to the point that they didn't want to converse with her and she didn't want to converse with any of them.
In her classes, she excelled in Kido as she thought of it as the "noblest" way to fight. Also, it worked into her attributes of utilizing her intelligence as opposed to strength and speed, which she was average at. Despite these handicaps, she also did well in hand to hand because of her capability to memorize a plethora of techniques. Her execution of these techniques waxed and waned as her physical attributes made this difficult.
The thing she absolutely detested was swordsmanship. She described it as "brutal", "barbaric", and, probably worst of all, "common". She hated having to pick up a sword and swing it for any reason. Amami was near the bottom of her class in swordsmanship and that was just the way she wanted it. When it came to Shunpo, she was about average due to her not being all that interested in it. However, she still saw use for it and didn't consider it all that "common". Thus, she was content to half try at Shunpo such to be in the middle of her class at it.
After six years in the Shinoreijutsuin, Amami would graduate having obtained her zanpakuto. She really didn't like having to carry around a katana all day, but she would get over it. She was accepted into the Gotei 13 upon graduation and that meant that she was a full fledged Shinigami. This both excited and scared her. She was excited to have come this far in her goals; however, she was scared because she knew she would have to eventually face her brother, Arashi.
Part V-Shinigami Life/Discovery of Shikai
Amami was accepted into the thirteenth division of the Gotei 13 and there she went about doing her Shinigami duty. After just a few months as a Shinigami she began to feel anxious concerning her brother. Now she was a full fledged Shinigami and that meant that she was no longer following Arashi's path. As such, she felt bad for not reuniting with him and making it clear that she felt horrible for what she said. She found out that he was in the ninth division and made her way to find him.
She approached the training ground and saw him apathetically swinging his sword at a practice dummy. Wait, he had two swords? Amami hadn't seen that before and was kind of taken aback at this. Did it mean that even among Shinigami Arashi was special and unique? No. She would not be jealous of her little brother again...that just led to trouble between the two of them. She approached her brother with a timid demeanor and kicked up some dust as she did so.
"Hello Arashi."
"Yes, Amami-chan?" he asked without any sort of expression in his voice. It seemed that he really didn't care about her or what she had to say. That hurt, but she stayed strong to say what she needed to say.
"I'm...I'm sorry for what I said to you. I was just jealous. I've been thinking of how I would apologize to you and how I would try to make it up to you. I can't. I can't take back what I said to you. Your Neesan is sorry." She did her best to sound sincere at this but it didn't seem to move her younger brother. He smirked back at her.
"I'm sorry. You must be confused. I don't have a Neesan." With that he used a Shunpo to place himself far away from her. Amami sunk to her knees and let out a series of sobs that could be heard throughout the training grounds. As she sobbed, she felt an odd sort of comfort before she heard a voice.
"Hey, dontcha feel too bad. I'm here if you need to talk." Amami stopped her crying for a second to think about where this voice came from. It felt like the one from before but different. It was a women's voice and it was more comforting than the one before. She thought that it just another voice in her head until the voice came back. "I'm not just another voice silly, I'm closer to you than that."
Can you explain this to me?
"No, but I can show you."
Suddenly, Amami's vision blurred until she could tell she was falling unconscious. Opening her eyes, something felt wrong. There was a breeze that just wasn't there before. Also, the dirt of the training ground was replaced by some rather tall weeds that reached up to her face as she was on her knees. She looked around these weeds for a seconds before raising her head to see a tree in the distance. It seemed like someone was under there. Not seeing anything else around, Amami got up and began walking towards the tree.
However, something seemed rather off as she approached this. As she approached, the tree didn't seem to get any closer. It remained the same distance from her no matter how far she walked. At first she didn't notice it but it became overly apparent that she wasn't getting anywhere. She began to run to see if that would help but it was to no avail.
"Is there a problem?"
I can't get any closer to the tree."
"Maybe you're not movin' correctly. You're walkin' there but do ya really want to get to the tree? Maybe you just think that you wanna get to the tree 'cuz you're upset. Maybe you should reconsider why ya wanna get to the tree."
Why are you telling me all this?
"'Cuz I'm tired of waiting for ya to get to the tree. I've been waiting here forever and ya never seem to wanna come."
"Who are you?" she asked out loud. It didn't make sense to her how this person was reading her mind or why she was in this new place. She wasn't thinking very clearly because of what happened with her brother or she probably would've recognized this as her Zanpakuto Spirit. But, emotional trauma does weird things to people.
"I thought that would've been obvious. After all, you're a smart cookie, eh? C'mon, think about it. Doesn't any of this feel a little familiar?"
"You're a part of me, aren't you?"
"'Course I am. Why else would we be in your head and junk?"
"So this is all in my head?"
"Yeah, pretty much. Eh, it doesn't really matter though. If you can't figure out why you need to reach the tree then you won't be here for long."
"Does it have to do with you?"
"Getting warmer. But that's the only hint you get."
Amami looked around this meadow for a second and thought. This energy all around felt so familiar and comforting for some reason. Turning towards the tree, Amami recognized it as the same feeling she got after she made that bargain with the voice that came from within her. She took a step towards the tree with a furrowed brow from thinking. Continuing to make slow, easy steps, she focused her thoughts.
"You're the one who helped me get into the Shinoreijutsuin. It was your power that I felt after I made that deal with that voice. You're the one who's been aiding me this whole time. I...I need to thank you. I need to talk to you about everything. You've been here all along for me."
"There we go." And with that, Amami's steps brought her closer and closer to the tree until she saw the young woman laying underneath it. This woman was beautiful with her blue hair and warrior outfit. Amami sat down in the shade of the tree as the woman laid there with both eyes closed, chest rising and falling subtly from her breathing. The woman opened one blue eye and offered a very large grin to Amami who only smiled back at this. "I'm Bushihime. Now ya know what's going on. So, I'd love to chat, but I gotta finish taking this nap.
Soooooo, see ya later!"
With that, Amami felt a pulling sensation as the meadow faded to the sound of Bushihime giggling girlishly at the look on Amami's face when she heard this. It was black for a moment before she woke up in the training ground on her knees as she had been before. She looked around at the empty area before picking herself up and leaving. She learned that she had obtained her Shikai from this little encounter. Apparently, her Zanpakuto was very lazy among spirits and didn't really want to make her work all that hard for it. What a relief. She tried out her Shikai to see that it was a shield. It was better than a katana any day; Amami felt pretty lucky.
Part VI-Internal Battle and Present
A handful of days after she obtained her Shikai, Amami began to feel very anxious for reasons she didn't understand. Her newly discovered Zanpakuto seemed relatively ignorant as to what could be troubling her. She began to see how useless Bushihime really was in situations where she needed help. However, the feeling didn't go away no matter how she tried to rationalize what was happening to her. This persisted for about a week before she eventually found out what had been plaguing her.
"I'm back. Time to pay what you owe."
No, you only gave me control over my own power and I don't owe you anything.
"You owe your submission to me. That's what you promised."
I won't give in to you.
"That's not your call."
Yes it is. I won't give you anything.
Just like that, Amami felt things leaving her control. She passed out in her room with the feeling familiar of when she visited Bushihime. It would prove to be almost identical to the time she obtained her Shikai because she would end up waking up in the meadow again. Looking around, something felt very wrong with the meadow because there was an unfamiliar presence. She looked towards the tree to see Bushihime actually awake and standing up with a worried look on her face. Amami turned to her front to see an unfamiliar figure standing there. She figured this must have been the source of the voice that had plagued her.
This person took the form of a demon of sorts who had a large scroll in his hand. He gave her a devilish smile before he motioned for her to draw her sword to fight him. Amami didn't think that her denial of this entity would have to come to fighting, but that seemed to be the case. She drew her sword before staring down the demon figure as she realized that his presence felt a bit familiar to her.
"Who are you?"
"I told you before didn't I? I'm part of you, the best part of you."
"Why does your presence feel familiar to me? I feel like I've felt your kind before."
"I feel like that's a stupid question. You know what I am...don't you?" She felt out his reiatsu for something familiar. The memory of being in the world of the living came to mind. For some reason she reminded slaying a certain thing...
"You're a..."
"Say it."
"Hollow."
"There we go. And I dwell inside of you. What does that say?"
"That I have a hollow...inside of me. That makes me a Vizard."
"Not for long. Soon you'll be the embodiment of a hollow. You'll be the embodiment of me."
"No...I won't let that happen to me."
"Well then, you'd best prepare yourself." Without a second's hesitation, the demon leaped at her and swung his scroll at her. She blocked it with her sword but felt him begin to overpower her in this clash. Making the quick decision, she jumped back to avoid getting smashed by his scroll. "You need to shape up Amami-chan, I might demolish you."
"Mamoru, Bushihime." Her shield appeared on her arm as the demon attacked her again. This time, she didn't feel as overpowered as she was before. Her Shikai seemed to have that benefit at the very least. This didn't seem to slow the demon down as he continued to strike at her with that heavy scroll of his. He seemed to not tire as she blocked attack after attack from him. Her arm began to protest this but she didn't know what else to do. If she got hit by that scroll she would be in serious trouble.
Finally, she attacked back. She swatted away one of his attack and bashed him in the head with her shield. He seemed a little dazed so she did this again. This rocked him so she backed up to try to get more power behind the third strike. That didn't work as he easily dodged this and struck her in the abdomen with his scroll. Backing off in pain, Amami couldn't believe how heavy that thing really was as she felt it for the first time. And he was able to swing it around like it was nothing to him. He laughed at her pain but didn't move to attack to again.
"If you're this weak, taking control with be easy."
Amami ground her teeth together while she looked up at him. She knew that her shield was able to hurt him if she could be smarter about how she hit him with it. Maybe she should use the side of it instead of the bulk. Just knocking somebody hurt, but if she used the side she might be able to cut him or something of the like. That might discourage him enough to end this fight. With a deep breath, she used Shunpo to put her behind him. She turned back to get some torque on it before swinging at his head dangerously fast.
She had caught him off guard it seemed as she struck him dead on and his laughing stopped. He fell to the ground and she saw a trickle of blood coming out of his head. He began to laugh at this for some odd reason. Amami looked at her shield and thought if she had honestly hit him hard enough to cause legitimate brain damage.
"I thought you'd be easy to beat. But now I can't get up. Fuck, you win. But this isn't over...just know that."
"What isn't over?"
"Me wanting control...that's just the natural order of things. But, this little win will sustain for a while. Go on, enjoy your peace while it lasts." After that, she looked back up at the tree to see Bushihime napping like usual. Amami supposed that was a good sign if nothing else. With that out of the way, she felt the familiar pull of being kicked out of her inner world.
She woke up to feel different...better. Not only was her pressing anxiety gone but she felt even better than before. She had new powers at her disposal. Amami knew that she couldn't show anyone these powers because they weren't powers that a Shinigami was supposed to posses. By this time, the Seireitei was much more accepting of Vizards...but Amami wasn't accepting of having to rely on these powers. She didn't tell anyone about her hollowfication because it embarrassed her. She was too prideful to admit that she was anything other than a Shinigami. When she has practiced with her hollow powers, it has been in secret when she was off duty. She didn't dare let anyone see her wear her mask...ever.

Zanpakuto

Name: Bushihime
Translation - Warrior Princess
Unreleased Appearance
In its unreleased form, Bushihime takes on the shape of a katana. Its blade has a length of 63 cm and its hilt is 11 cm long being about the norm for a katana. There is light-green wrapping on the hilt and the guard takes on the shape of a circle. The guard is an off-gold color such that it almost looks brown but still holds some of its luster.
--------------------
Zanpakuto Spirit
--------------------
Name: Bushihime
Gender: Female
Spirit Appearance
Bushihime takes on the appearance of a young woman with a decently supple athletic build. She has blue hair which falls down to her lower back with no curl to it. This hair is accompanied by a pair of striking blue eyes which tend to be hidden by her sleeping. On her forehead she wears a headband made out of gold and comes to its vertex with a ruby. On her body she wears a small grey corset that covers her bust and goes down only about a couple of inches past that. She wears a small pair of blue shorts with a leather belt. On her feet she wears cloth shoes which barely do anything to offer protection against the elements.
Personality
Bushihime is quite a bit more relaxed than her master and tends to spend most of her time sleeping. She is quite carefree and tends not to let anything really get to her or bother her. She feels that her time to be active and fight as a warrior will come and go. Thus, she's more than willing to lay back and let that moment come when it comes. Aside from that, Bushihime is also quite flirtatious when it comes to things. She's constantly suggesting that Amami be more forward when it comes to men...or women. Bushihime has even tried to flirt with Amami but that never seems to work out the way she wants it to.
Relationship to Master
Due to her lazy nature, Bushihime doesn't get along with Amami very well. As her zanpakuto, Bushihime isn't spared Amami's condescension for her work ethic. Amami is constantly criticizing Bushihime for being lazy and a "freeloader". This tension has not been helped by Bushihime hitting on her often to avoid having to do anything when Amami tries to talk to her. While Amami admits that Bushihime is attractive, she finds most things about her intolerable. Albeit, Bushihime didn't really seem to be too upset about this rejection (or string of rejections). All its really done between them is make Amami reluctant to talk to Bushihime for fear of having this kind of confrontation again. Despite all of this, Bushihime seems to legitimately care about Amami. Whenever she's upset, Bushihime will give some sort of encouragement. This isn't sagely advice by any means, but it's an effort nonetheless.
Inner World
Bushihime's Inner World takes the form of a meadow with a singular tree that everything seems to revolve around. This is the tree that Bushihime sleeps under and it is quite tall. The grass in this meadow reaches about three feet high and never seems to grow or get cut down despite whatever training may occur here. There are small, random patches of flowers in this meadow, but they really don't serve any purpose. It would be possible that Bushihime created these flower patches in her spare time, but that would imply that she did something other than sleep. Finally, there is a small creek that runs through this meadow about fifty yards from the tree. It's a vibrant blue color that is void of fish and other aquatic life.
--------------------
Inner Hollow
--------------------
Name: Shi
Gender: Male
Appearance
Shi takes the place of a very red demon with two horns protruding from his forehead and a very jagged set of teeth. He has four scars that run on the left side of his face over his eye, one of which ends in an almost decorative spiral. From his mouth there is always a cloud of smoke that just rolls off his fangs with no effort seeming to take place on Shi's part. Under this cloud of smoke Shi has a white beard which resembles that of a pirate (ARGH!). It falls down to about his collar bone and has pretty ragged edges. He wears a very traditional styled kimono which has a plethora of colors and designs. On his fingernails, he has claws that extends about two inches past the end of his fingers. He also carries around a giant scroll made out of steel that he doodles in during his spare time.
Personality
Shi's quite outspoken in what he wants and the things that he won't tolerate. He strongly approves of Bushihime's laziness as it allows him to have a greater role in the thoughts of Amami. He tries to use Amami's work ethic to persuade her to rely more heavily on him as the source of her power. He's a greedy hollow who wants more and more of Amami's attention and power and is willing to do almost anything to get it. Despite this, he actually enjoys Amami's company. He's willing to spend small amounts of time with her when he's not doodling because he shares her outlook on pride and social protocol. Shi is the only one who agrees with Amami's own distorted views of how society works and submits himself to her rules concerning it.
Relationship to Master
Shi gets along with Amami quite well when he isn't trying to obtain more from her. His greed makes his work ethic seem very appealing to Amami from an emotional standpoint. She has never accused him of being lazy and her condescension has never arisen as a problem between them. Shi is quick to agree with Amami over her contorted views when Bushihime might otherwise disagree. She doesn't necessarily trust Shi, but considers him a decent acquaintance at the very least. He likes to use her work ethic to try to make her get closer to him. He feels that if he can make her side with him over Bushihime all the time then he can consume her entirely.
--------------------
Hollow Abilities
--------------------
Mask Appearance and Summoning
Amami's hollow mask has the base color of white as its background (as do all hollow masks). This is accompanied by a bunch of glittery spirals that go all around the mask. They lead to glittery circles that surround the eye holes of the mask. The holes themselves are shaped like eyes and not the stereotypical circles that a lot of hollow masks employ. There's also a small set of nostril holes that do not have the same glittery circles around them. Over the mouth there is a horizontal line with parallel vertical lines that resembles stitching. She can hold this form for thirteen seconds before the mask dissipates.
Hollow Abilities
Cero
- Description of Attack - Amami fires a cero from the mouth of her mask. This cero is dark red and is pretty wide for a cero, but kind of flat.
- Limitation - Amami can fire three of these before her mask just cracks and dispels into nothingness. The cero only goes thirty five meters before it dissipates. Also, it being flat makes it easier to dodge than most cero.

Shikai Appearance
Amami's Shikai takes the appearance of a stereotypical Spartan Aspis. It is three feet in diameter and is held from the inside at the center. It is dark gold in color and appears to have several dings and dents despite not a whole lot of use. Amami holds the shield via a leather strap on the inside and her forearm slides through another strap for further fortification.
Shikai Abilities
Extend
- Description of Attack - Amami braces herself as her shield expands to have a diameter of ten feet. The shield uses her reiatsu to expand into its new size. If it cannot extend in all directions, it will push things away to extend. Amami can cut this transformation short by refusing to feed reiatsu to the shield.
- Type - Defensive
- Range - Self
- Limitation - Amami can only hold this extended form up for thirty seconds. It drains her reiatsu from having to keep the shield extended like this. Also, due to its sheer mass, Amami cannot move in this form. It is only intended to block one attack that may otherwise envelop her. This move is directional and could easily be outmaneuvered by her opponent simply going around it. Also, she can only do this a total of three times before she loses her Shikai and typically passes out.

Amami was carrying a stack of paperwork that was probably meant for someone else. Lazy bastard probably didn't think that paperwork was worth his time. She'd show him. She walked up to the room where he was supposed to be. She saw the person who this work was meant for...he was relaxing...that lazy son of a bitch. Amami walked up to him with a scowl on her face before dropping the stack of papers on him. He was about to jump up and say something until he saw the look on her face.
"I...do not appreciate finding your work in my space. Do your damn work and quit being such a waste of space."
"Hey, who do you think you are?"
Amami put her hand on her hip and stared down at the man who was causing a problem. She didn't know why people couldn't just do their damn work. Especially men. Every time there seemed to be a problem with the workflow it always could be traced back to some man. This was definitely a problem that needed to be brought up. The men were just useless it seemed and Amami refused to take any lip from the source of all of these problems: a lazy man.
"I happen to be someone who does their own work and then some. So why don't you do your part you lazy bastard?"
"Well...I..." he began to stammer. Amami's felt a devilish smirk cross her face as she knew that he couldn't say anything to get out of this. He hadn't even tried that hard, though that made sense. He was nothing but a lazy man.
"You what? You're too busy doing nothing to do your work? You have absolutely no excuse for this. Tell me what it is that you can think of that justifies this?"
"Well...it's just that...well...paperwork is so boring."
"Well, that really sounds like your problem. Good bye bastard-kun."
With that, Amami turned around and left as she saw him begin to work. That was good. Perhaps not being a lazy bastard would do him some good for a change. She figured that wouldn't be too much of a problem for him. Or maybe it would be extremely hard for him; men were worthless after all. Amami smiled to herself with the good she'd done today. She'd gone and scared a lazy bastard to into doing his work. All was well.
