With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

Somehow rumor had spread about Kimiko helping teach a certain fellow shinigami. Within a few weeks she had others asking for lessons. Of course Kimiko herself was quite surprised. She wasn't sure about the idea at first but, why not? She was pretty talented, and for now she would keep the class small. Besides, she could learn as much from them as they could from her. For now her classes would consist of combat techniques, lessons in wing chun hand to hand, and kido practice...and maybe some surprises thrown in.
WIth a bright smile, she moved down the hall of the academy and entered her room long before the students arrived. She was dressed much differently then many of the teachers or normal shinigami. Her silken, black and red, designed kimono rustlled gently with each step of her bare feet, and onyx bead earrings with tiny red tassles dangled from her ears. She had a box with an older Kimono inside it, she had a reason for bringing it, but she would get to that later.
It was a decent sized room and Kimiko had brought in a few things of her own. She had a wooden desk and chair, which was normal, and some small wooden benches which had been picked up and moved out of the way. A few wing chun, wooden, sparring dummies were lined up along one wall, and mats for facing off against other students not far from that. Along the other wall was the desk in the corner a small table and a changing screen. Kimiko had also brought in a tea pot and was brewing some especially pleasant smelling tea, courtesy of her friend, Ishiki, maybe she would have him come in at some point.
Kimiko wanted it to be a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, but she realized she would have to see how her students were before adjusting things.
There were another door, oppisite of where the students would enter, and Kimiko stepped over and slid open that door. It led outside to an enclosed training area. An eight to ten foot tall stone wall surrounded the area so the students practicing, hopefully, would not be able to do harm outside the training area. There were various wooden and straw targets set up on the far end and more bundles piled up as replacements.
Kimiko was quite pleased with the set up, and felt anxious, she couldn't wait to begin.

It would seen the first to arrive was none other than Michael Angelo. He wore the standard male, shinigami academy uniform. His bore no alterations from the standard. He carried along with him a few books. One on the anatomy of many of the races, another was a pocket guide to kido, and finally the last one was a book on arrancar. Though he did carry an autograph in his pocket in case he ever ran into a high standing member of the Gotei 13 but alas, he had not ever had the pleasure. He walked into the training room they would apparently be using. He admired the room but, couldn't help thinking what kind of training could be done in here? This is when he saw the one who would obviously be teaching them, at least, judging by her spiritual pressure. He walked over to greet her.
"Good afternoon Sensei Kaneko, Student Michael Angelo reporting for class." He said bowing his head respectfully. He did hope todays lesson would be interesting and worth this time they would be taking. Then again, it was not like learning anyrhing was a waste of time. Hopefully he wasn't the only one showing up. After all, learning was always better done in a group. Even if he liked to be alone, he at least understood this much.
With the final push-up Akio shot her body off the ground with her upper body strength, sweat trickled down her brow as she let out a few heavy breaths. She clenched her fist triumphantly,
“Yes! Five more then yesterday.”
she said ready to take on the day and whatever it had to offer. She began to think, trying to remember what it was nagging at the back of her mind, she was aware today was important, but why?
Her thumb brushed across the lighter several times with nothing but sparks before the successful flame was and she drew it to the cigarette now in her mouth. Two puffs of the mouth and then she inhaled, her eyes dilated as the nicotine came in. She opened the door so the smoke wouldn’t fill up the room. She peered out as the sun came over the area and then it hit Akio like a freight train as her eyes fell upon the academy. ‘Classes!’ She gulped the idea down her throat.
She pulled her ball cap off the wall and pulled her pony tail through the back followed by wrapping her jacket around her waist. She hated the traditional garb of the Shinigami, it just felt all wrong. She looked at her schedule and sighed,
“Kido class, why of all things do we have to start off the day with the thing that I dread the most? How awful…
With that, she tightened the sleeves of the jacket around her waist, and hurtled out the door, closing it on the way out. With amazing speed, she reached the academy. She put her hands on her knees and huffed slightly, before regaining her posture and brushed herself off. She walked around the hallways several times comparing the class schedule for the day with the room numbers, she finally found the right one. She entered the room, there was a boy there she’d yet to meet but no one else. Odd for the occasion she thought, but perhaps she was early. The only other person in the room was what Akio could only assume as the professor. She put her one of her fists to her palms,
“Good morning Sensei…”—Akio froze for a moment, she’d forgotten to look and see what her instructors name was, to keep her cool Akio rose and just played it off as what she meant to say…’heh, awkward way to meet, but she seems pretty cool. Nice to see someone else who hates the normal dress around here.
“Is this all the students we’re expecting today Sensei? I look forward to your class.” Akio continued, playing up her simple mistake as a habit whilst clearing some silence.

(I'm gonna go ahead and begin but if anyone else wants to join, feel free.)
Hiyoue was getting ready for her first class of the day. She brushed her long red hair and tied it back, then put on her hairclip made from the fragment of a hollow's mask. She thought it looked original and made for good conversation. She had on her academy uniform and put her books and things in a satchel. Hiyoue hopped around a little bit as she slipped on her sandles and checked her look in the mirror. She smiled as she checked herself out from different angles, but shook her head wide-eyed as she caught sight of the little clock on her nightstand in the mirror.
"Is it that late already?! Crap, I'm not gonna make it!" She exclaimed as she slung her satchel over her shoulder and darted out of her room, shutting the door behind her and running down the hall.
Hiyoue fumbled with a piece of parchment in her pocket that told her where she needed to be. The teacher was a woman, Sensei Kaneko. She didn't sound all that familiar as far as big names in Seireitei went, probably a good thing as having a big name didn't impress Hiyoue all that much. She would see how the teacher acted before deciding if she liked her.
She arrived barely on time, pretty much right after Akio's greeting, Hiyoue wasn't paying attention as she flung open the door and bumped into Aiko, promptly falling back on her behind with a slight pained scowl. She peered up at the blonde girl with a moment of annoyance, she wasn't even wearing an academy uniform, She wore a jacket around her waist and a ball cap on her head.
"Oof! Ow, ow, ow... Ugh, sorry...Am I late?"
Hiyoue peered around Aiko and saw a boy in the room, who at least was wearing the student uniform as well, but then there was the teacher. Her outfit was definately not the normal attire of a teacher. Hiyoue wished someone told her this was a casual class. After she got up, she nodded an apology to the sensei.
"Morning Sensei."
--------------------
Kimiko smiled brightly as her students started to arrive. First through the door was a boy who introduced himself as Michael Angelo. Really? She arched an eyebrow, eyeing him with those unsettling red eyes wondering if he was pulling her leg, but according to the list of students signed up for her class that actually WAS his name. Soon after a blonde girl with the same disdain for stict dresscode came through the door followed by a seemingly ungraceful redhead. This was gonna take a little work...
"Good Morning class. Yes, aside from you three, I only expect a few more,... Unless others hear about it and decide to join up. This is kinda my first official class, so I wanted to see how it goes..." Kimiko hoped that didn't sound too bad and continued on.
"Anyway, welcome to my class, I thought we should start by introducing ourselves and I'll explain what I hope to do here." She said, gesturing around the room with her right hand.
She put her arms at her sides and bowed to the gathered students. "My name is Kimiko Kaneko, I am co-third seat of second division, and the leader of the Patrol Unit of the stealth forces under Captain Soi fon. Yes, THOSE stealth forces."
Kimiko's red eyes had a devilish gleam as she eyed her students. She grinned as she emphasized her position as head of the patrol corps of the stealth forces. If there was information she wanted, someone she wanted watched, or captured with no trace left... Kimiko could make it happen! She wanted so badly to giggle evilly but held it in, she managed to keep a composed, if devious smile as she searched their expressions for squirming.
"In this class, not only will we be studying and practicing Kido and its various uses, but I also intend to teach some combat and hand to hand techniques. You'd be surprised what skills you can pick up among the stealth forces." She added hoping to pique their interests.
"Any questions so far?" She looked back and forth to the three gathered for any questions, but also for them to go ahead and introduce themselves.

Akio was gathering all the classroom, trying to familiarize herself of the surroundings as this would most definitely be the place she was stuck in for the remainder of the semester, and might as well make the most of it. It was long before she heard hurried footsteps enter the classroom. Akio’s head popped out then shot back in as the girl in a hurry almost took it clean off. Akio eyed her up and down to size her up. The girl had long red hair tied back today, she noticed a fancy looking hairclip and automatically held some disdain for this girl and shrugged slightly thinking, ‘Do you really have to try so hard? Well, at least I’m not the only female student in this class.’
The red-haired girl exclaimed, “Oof! Ow, ow, ow... Ugh, sorry...Am I late?” Akio sighed and tried to smile to the student whispering, “Just in time, it looks like she’s about to start.” Akio turned to face the teacher after that, the session was about to start and if she expected to make it here, she had to put forth her best effort. Even if it’s just a class of three Akio was convinced she would be NUMBER ONE!
"Good Morning class. Yes, aside from you three, I only expect a few more,... Unless others hear about it and decide to join up. This is kinda my first official class, so I wanted to see how it goes..." Kimiko hoped that didn't sound too bad and continued on.
Akio put her hands behind her head and leaned back slightly thinking to herself, “Really her first class? This will be interesting, I hope this teacher really knows her stuff…” ‘Akio tapped her foot as these thoughts ran through her head, are we just guinea pigs for a new class? What if one of these two are better than me? No, I can’t think like that I won’t. This teacher’s gonna be amazing!’ With that Akio clenched her first and promised to herself no matter what she was going to make the best of this class.
"Anyway, welcome to my class, I thought we should start by introducing ourselves and I'll explain what I hope to do here." She said, gesturing around the room with her right hand.
Sensei Kaneko put her arms at her sides and bowed to the gathered students. Akio bowed back to her sensei out of respect.
"My name is Kimiko Kaneko, I am co-third seat of second division, and the leader of the Patrol Unit of the stealth forces under Captain Soi fon. Yes, THOSE stealth forces." Akio’s eyes grew large, the stealth forces. This woman? Was she really that strong? The stealth forces were really assassins of the 13 squads, for anyone to believe otherwise would be foolish. Akio felt a fire burning inside her, this class was going to be great for fighting she just knew it. Co-third seat? What did that mean exactly, Akio had never heard of two people holding one position but was hanging on the every word now of her new Sensei, praying there was more to the class then Kido training so she could really shine.
"In this class, not only will we be studying and practicing Kido and its various uses, but I also intend to teach some combat and hand to hand techniques. You'd be surprised what skills you can pick up among the stealth forces." She added hoping to pique their interests.
“Yatta!” Akio had accidentally let her excitement leap out of her mouth, she bowed in apologies but decided that at this point she might as well go first in introductions, what with already having everyone’s attention Akio recomposed herself and began. “Hello everyone, my name is Akio Mamoru Academy Student.” She pointed to herself with her thumb and waited a moment then continued. “ Take a good look right now because I will be the number one student in this class! ” Akio said with passion in her eyes and her fists clenched, no matter what tasks lie in front of her now, she was ready to tackle them head on, she had to… She bowed again to her classmates, then awaited the next person to introduce themself.
"Usually, when somebody doesn't respond it means "fuck off"." Hikaru growled from under his pile of blankets. His dorm mate had proven to be quite the goody-goody little shit. Starting with his arrival Saturday evening, and his attempt to invite Hikaru to a "social function". He had gone, if only to shut the little five foot nothing, ginger weasel up. It hadn't been a complete failure, he had managed to snag a few packs of cigarettes. But still, fuck these academy queers. All they talked about was "I want to be the best! Like no one ever was". Sounded like a theme song to a shitty kids show.
His dorm mate, Harold-or was it Renault-let out a huff of annoyance, and threw the blankets off of Hikaru's head. It was in that instant that Hikaru knew he would not be making it through the academy without murdering someone.
He sneered at Harold/Renault, and propped himself up, continuously balling his right hand to awaken his numb arm. He continued to stare daggers at Renault while doing this.
"Why do you wear those gloves when you sleep?" Harold/Renault asked, cocking one fiery eyebrow.
"Because shut up."
Hikaru pushed himself out of bed and headed for the shower, cursing his own rotten luck. He made the shower fast, not usually one for taking his sweet time in the bathroom. He quickly dressed himself, throwing on his standard academy uniform and placing his black finger-less gloves back on his hands. He hated wearing these, but it was a requirement. He couldn't really let anybody see the gang tattoos, the administration wouldn't like it. Finishing up, he placed the silver locket his girlfriend had given him around his neck, giving it a kiss for good luck.
By the time he had left the bathroom, Harold/Renault had already left. Breathing a sigh of relief, Hikaru grabbed his schedule, a pack of cigarettes, his lighter, and his books for the day. Popping one of the cancer sticks into his mouth, he let out a sigh of frustration.
This shit sucked. Sucked more than the time he had broken his femur in a gang fight. And that shit sucked. Maybe if he broke his femur he could get out of class? Maybe he could frame Harold/Renault and get him kicked out. So many possibilities!
Chuckling to himself at the idea, he lit up and pocketed his lighter, heading out the door and to his first class.
10 minutes later, brought him to the door of the classroom. He was late, but not by much. Besides, fuck it. They said he had to become a Shinigami. Not an amazing one. He flicked his smoldering stub of a cigarette to the floor and ground it with his foot. Since this was supposed to be a kidou class or something, he figured he would need one before it ended. He didn't give a rats ass about throwing energy balls. He just wanted to punch and stab shit.
Taking in a deep breath, he entered the room and was greeted with:
“ Take a good look right now because I will be the number one student in this class! ”
And he snorted. The kind of snort you make when you try to suppress a laugh but can't quite do it. The kind where everyone knows you laughed but you tried to hide it. And he did it loud, his mind thinking back to all the kids on Saturday, talking about how they were going to be the best. What a load of shit.

((Gonna go ahead and post))
Hiyoue picked herself up off the floor and the blond girl whispered. "Just in time, it looks like she's about to start."
Sensei Kaneko introduced herself and what talked about what she wanted to do in this class. It seemed it was the teacher's first teaching opportunity but Kimiko sounded hopeful. She was with the second division, the stealth forces, Hiyoue wondered what exactly that meant. Weren't the stealth forces called in for criminals and the like? She had this image of the sensei throwing the students in cells and looming over them, planning their demise.
"I'm innocent! I didn't do it!" Hiyoue blurted out and shook her head frantically.
Kimiko just looked at Hiyoue and blinked her mysterious red eyes curiously at the guilty sounding response. "Didn't do what?"
Hiyoue smiled nervously with her hands clasped in front of her. "Uh, nothing, nothing at all, hehe..."
Kimiko smirked. "That's good, I would hate to have to arrest my students on thier first day. Now, as I was saying..."
Kimiko continued the rest of her explaination and to Hiyoue it seemed like things would be quite interesting. To Akio, the girl beside her, it seemed to excite her to no end as she shouted a cheer.
"Yatta!" She shouted in her excitement and quickly bowed in apology. "Hello everyone, my name is Akio Mamoru, Academy Student. Take a good look right now because I will be the number one student in this class!"[/i]
No sooner had Akio finished talking then another student had come in, just slightly late and snorted at Akio's entusiasum. Hiyoue raised an eyebrow and put a hand on her hip. What was wrong with someone trying to be the best they could be. Admittedly it was a little arrogant to assume that she would be number one in the class, but the snort from the late kid was kinda rude.
Kimiko looked over as the late student entered and gave a questioning glance as well.
"Good morning, I trust you have a good reason for being late? Please join the other students, we were just introducing ourselves. As I already said, my name is Kimiko Kaneko and I will be your sensei for this class."
Hiyoue turned away from the rude new kid and back to Sensei Kaneko and the others. With a warm, bright-eyed smile and nod, she introduced herself. "I am Hiyoue Hara. I'm happy to be here, and looking forward to learning with all of you."

So today was a kido class? Simple enough, Michael actually preferred kido so he might have a lead on some of his classmates. He found rarely did others prefer to use kido in combat. Luckily he wasn't the only one to show up though, this was not an uncommen occurence in a school. So there were to only be 2 more students? Thats when the third entered. He did have admit that the girl was a little arrogant with her commented but, he commended her on her motivation. The guy didn't really seem like a kind person from first impressions but, it was only the first few seconds so he would save his judment for later. The other girl seemed rather sunny and cheerful though......random with her little outburst but, oh well. It was different and rather refreshing. This was certainly a rather colorful class to be sure.
Michael smiled, though slightly, at the teachers joke. If anything she probably had the authority to do that from what they knew. Though being a prisoner of the Soul Society meant you were never not going to be one unless there were special and extenuating circumstances. He had read a book on it some time ago. Not the most interesting piece of literature but, important non the less. They would one day be shinigami and it was always good to learn the rules sooner rather than later. "I did introduce myself before but, seeing as some of the other students arrived I guess I can do it again. My name is Michael Angelo, I'm not sure that I am going to be the best but........I'll try, and I hope everyone has a good time." He said rather awkwardly. He didn't like talking to people much.
"Good morning, I trust you have a good reason for being late? Please join the other students, we were just introducing ourselves. As I already said, my name is Kimiko Kaneko and I will be your sensei for this class."
Hikaru cocked one wiry black eyebrow at the question? Good reason? Sleep was a damn good reason. At least to him.
"Yeah, kinda, I was trying to sleep." He replied with a deadpan tone, before taking his seat. He made sure not to sit next to anyone else in the sparsely populated class. Not that he wasn't a social person, but he didn't really associate himself with these kinds of people.
Whilst another student attempted to re-introduce himself for Hikaru's benefit, he casually pulled out a cigarette and lit it up, kicking his feet up on the desk. He appreciated the effort the kid was going through to try and introduce himself, but damn Hikaru could not give less of a fuck.

Hikaru's excuse for not arriving to class on time was rather lame and Kimiko arched a brow in watching him move to an isolated seat and kick his feet up. She supposed that every class had at least one that would be troublesome. Michael Angelo reintroduced himself and Kimiko smiled, but the newer student Hikaru seemed to not really care. He took out a cigarette and lit it up in the classroom, which annoyed Kimiko.
How should she handle it? This was her first teaching experiance and she wondered if she should be stern or kind. She decided she would start with kind and work from there but hoped she wouldn't have to make an example of someone this early on. She approched his desk and smiled.
"Excuse me, but I wonder if you might wait for a break before smoking. Also, If you must, I would prefer if you smoked outside.
Hiyoue just looked back and forth between their teacher and the new kid, obviously one of those bad asses. This was one of those awkward moments where you find out exactly what kind of teacher you were gonna have. She blinked and held a hand up near her mouth as she waited to see what would happen.
