With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Yumiko walked into the clinic type area of the fourth division. She had a cloth to her neck, holding it. It was obviously bloody, but not too bad, as it looked to be a minor cut, not hitting anything serious. Yumiko knew what had actually happened, after she actually saw the wound that is.
Yumiko opened her eyes slowly to a semi-dim room. The sun light was piercing through her window, barely. She felt sore for some reason, and didn't really know why. She didn't remember going to sleep, hell, she didn't remember going to her room. What was the last thing she remembered? Izaya, that's right. They were talking about what "love" is, and their respective views on it. After that, blank. Why couldn't she remember?
Slowly, Yumiko rose to her feet. She felt a slight pain in her neck, along with a bit of a chill in the room. That was weird, she still had her clothes on, and her window wasn't open... Why was she cold?
In any case, she moved to the bathroom. She had to see how horrible she looked. She felt almost like she had a hangover, and wanted to see if she looked that bad. Probably not, but still, checking would be good. And now, she would, she had reached the mirror.
Yumiko looked at herself in the mirror and then saw something on her neck. Her hair was covering it, but her hair looked darker in that area... Wait, was that blood? No, it couldn't be! Yumiko moved her hair and saw the "cut" in her neck. She stumbled a bit back, and stared at it. It was still kinda oozing, and oozing wasn't good, not at all. She had to go, right then. So, she grabbed a damp, warm cloth and placed it over the wound, applying pressure to it to stop the bleeding.
As she applied pressure, she felt a sharp pain, and began to see things... Horrible things, awful things, twisted things. These things were from Izaya, and this made Yumiko feel sick. She placed her hands on the counter while taking breaths to calm herself. She had remembered everything that had happened, and she would need to go to the E.R. of the Seireitei. It was all she could do, and then she was off, holding a cloth to her neck and all.
"I need someone to look at my neck for me... And possibly patch it up.." Yumiko metioned to the front desk lady.
She was skeptical at first then began to write down some stuff, and sent her into a room. This room was secluded from the rest, which wasn't normal, but then again, these circumstances weren't exactly normal. Yumiko would have to see what would happen.
The woman at the desk rang a bell, summoning a small, thin, flustered girl with violet hair. Normally, she wasn't so flustered. It was all Izaya's fault. He hadn't taken back his sword, and it was still in her room. And he wouldn't take it back for at least another week.
Now she had to work. She had tried playing hooky, but then one of her "friends" found her and reprimanded her.
"How'd you hurt your neck?" she asked, staring at the taller woman, noticing the cloth she pressed against it. It was dripping a little - she was using a wet one. That wouldn't help the blood clot. It might clean it up, but it would keep the plasma from separating from the water. "You'll have to take that off."
"Sasaki-san, please take her into an operating room."
"Right, right, right," she muttered, rolling her eyes. "There's one open by the door over here." as she approached it, she glanced back at the woman at the desk. "Tightass."

"How'd you hurt your neck?...You'll have to take that off."
"Well... I got bit by some.. thing, and as for taking it this off, I will." Yumiko said lowly as she removed the wet cloth.
The cloth had dried some and had stuck some to the wound itself. As Yumiko began to remove it, it pulled on her skin some, causing her to wince. It was still fresh, and as such, blood started to run down her neck a little.
"Tightass."
Yumiko cocked her head to the young woman that had made this comment. She seemed kinda stressed. Yeah, Yumiko knew how that went as well, seeing as what she went through the night before. Maybe she would see what was bugging her.
"You seemed kinda stressed, something buggin' ya hun?"
Yumiko offered a slight smile to her. She was a little off today, seeing as what happened last night really pushed her over the edge. Luckily she had gotten some sleep to be able to even remotely function.
"By the way... My name is Yumiko Umeki, fifth seat of the third division. I thought I should at least introduce myself." Yumiko would of offered her her hand for a shake, but it didn't really seem necessary at this point.
"Bit by something?" Kin repeated as she entered the room, raising a brow. That was odd. She couldn't think of anything other than a spider that might have bitten her, and a spider bite wouldn't cause so much bleeding. She stood on her toes to get a better look. They looked like human bite marks, not hollow or animal.
"Someone went a little overboard," she said slyly, implying that Yumiko had done the deed recently.
"You seem kind of stressed," the woman said. "Something buggin' ya hun?"
"My, eh, colleagues have a stunning lack of appreciation for slacking off," Kin murmured, so as not to let the lady at the desk hear. She had long forgotten that woman's name. "Well, we have a couple options with that. I could stitch it up, that's fastest, I could use healing kido, that's the least embarrassing, unless that's some sort of kink, or I could give you a bandage, but that's a little...awkward, given the placement."
She rolled up a dry rag and pressed it against the wound, rather than shaking hands with the woman.
"Sasaki Kin, sixth seat," she said with a faint smile.

The young woman seemed to be trying to be sly when she spoke of this. She was implying that Yumiko had done "it" with someone, that someone being Izaya, which Yumiko thought about for a moment. She didn't want to do "it" with Izaya, nor did she want to let people know anything had happened. It was really kinda embarrassing.
"Yeah... heh, something like that." Yumiko said in an embarrassed tone.
"My, eh, colleagues have a stunning lack of appreciation for slacking off,... Well, we have a couple options with that. I could stitch it up, that's fastest, I could use healing kido, that's the least embarrassing, unless that's some sort of kink, or I could give you a bandage, but that's a little...awkward, given the placement."
Yumiko looked down then around for a brief moment. She was thinking about how to deal with this. She could let her stitch it up, but this would probably leave some sort of scar. No, no, no, Yumiko couldn't have a scar, no less from Izaya!
Then she thought about the whole bandage thing. Was that even worth it? Maybe if she wanted to hold it over Izaya's head... No, that wouldn't do, and she really didn't even want to deal with him very much more.
That left the third option, kido. Yumiko thought about it, it seemed to be the best choice, all around. No scar, no trace of her having it, clean and efficient. Yumiko would have to go with this, it was the only way to do it.
"Kido sounds like the best option, let's go with that." Yumiko smiled slightly.
"Sasaki Kin, sixth seat," The woman said while applying a dry rag to Yumiko's wound.
Wait... Her name was Kin? Like, Izaya's Kin? The one that Izaya didn't want to betray? This stunned Yumiko for a brief moment. This was the one that dispelled the cold? That brought him his warm and fuzzies?! Yumiko couldn't really think, nor could she really act on this. She would have to say something, so she didn't look ridiculous.
"Nice to meet you, Sasaki-chan." Yumiko offered a smile. It wasn't her normal smile, but she had just met Kin, so would she really be able to tell?
"So who's the lucky guy?" Kin asked, gesturing for Yumiko to take a seat on the hospital bed. It would be much easier to reach - and, because Yumiko hadn't been fighting recently, Kin believed it wouldn't take much to fix up her wound anyway. Probably no more than a few minutes, though stitches would take a few seconds. It wasn't so bad of a wound.
She smirked, once she was out of sight, because she realized that if the woman wouldn't settle for a bandage, it meant either there was someone she didn't want to see the wound, or that whoever caused it was a mistake. Possibly a drunken one.
Kin put her hands at the nape of Yumiko's neck and began to pour reiatsu out of her hands, and thread it through Yumiko's like a needle sewing thread. She found the twists and turns and accelerated the healing process. One thing Kin did not like about haling kido was healing a person who hadn't exerted any reiatsu - she was forced to move with the flow. She was good at it...but she still hated it.

Lucky? Hardly. Yumiko didn't find it to be a very "lucky" situation, seeing as how this was, in fact, Izaya's Kin. She could use this to cripple Izaya, be vindictive, but what would that really bring? It would bring hurt to this Kin, who, even though she didn't know, seemed nice enough. Yumiko didn't really want to hurt their relationship, not at all, but there was something deep inside her that told her; yes, she did want to hurt their relationship.
"Well, ummm..." Yumiko sat there trying to think of something to say to get around the question, or even not have to answer, but it was inevitable, she would have to tell her something. "He was a jerk, let's just stick with that."
Hopefully this was good enough of an answer for Kin. Yumiko wasn't sure if she would start thinking that it was in the same division, and she hoped not, then she might eventually assume it to be Izaya. Wait, why was she trying to protect that jerk, he had destroyed her! She had to for this young woman...
Yumiko felt the needle like reiatsu pulling her skin back together. It didn't hurt much, if only a little tender. It felt a warmer than her own skin, then again, she had just lost some blood, which would bring down her body's temperature down.
"So, uh, how long you been in the fourth?" Small talk, to detour from the problem. Foolproof!
Kin had assumed as much, but she had to wonder who the jerk was. She wondered if he was the kind of jerk who'd be stupid enough to brag about it. She'd find out, if that was the case. If not, she supposed she'd never know. "I can see that."
She settled back into her work, focusing so she could make it go faster. Yumiko tried to ask her a question, but Kin just hummed impatiently. It was just a moment more before the wound had stitched itself shut, and was only a little red.
"Can you live with a mild bruise?" she asked. If not, she could put a small bandage on it. There wasn't much reason to use kido for vanity's sake. "And I've been here since the academy. That's quite a while."

Wait, did she think that it was Izaya? Yumiko hoped not, she didn't want it to get out. It was a little embarrassing, though it would be less due to her wound being healed up.
"Yeah... I'm starting to hate the guy anyway..." Yumiko had lied again. She knew there was something in her that wanted that jerk, even if he did destroy a big piece of her.
"Can you live with a mild bruise?"
Yumiko smiled and nodded. There would be questions... And most everyone would think it was a hickey, which meant she needed to make something up. She would have to think of that later.
"And I've been here since the academy. That's quite a while."
Yumiko looked up for a moment. She didn't exactly know how long that was, but she could ask. Yumiko was still pretty fresh out of the academy, even if she got a seat fairly quick.
"I've been in Third for a few months or so... I mean, I am still fairly new..." Yumiko was a bit embarrassed by this. She didn't want to seem like she was completely naive and new, cuz she had her own things she had to do.
