With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"The current situation? Well Seiji if you insist... Here's the situation as I see it... If the rumors are to be believed, through some miracle or fabulous acting, you've managed to chase off a menos. Bravo. Then, in celebration, you invited Kimiko up here for what seems to be an unhealthy amount of sake. Maybe trying to take advantage of her? Let's face it, you don't sound as drunk as you probably should be. Using drunkenness as an excuse to cosy up to a girl? I didn't figure you for that type. How absolutely rakish, Seiji."
Seiji laughed slightly. He knew what Hisashi was saying, and how one could perceive the same thing as Hisashi, but Seiji knew better. He had a few different intentions, yet he let Hisashi go on.
"What have I done? Save her from something you both might regret tomarrow? hmm?" He raised an eyebrow and stepped closer to Seiji. "IF, you really are drunk, would you want anything romantic to be under the influence of alcohol? And if you aren't, you're a cad, simple as that!"
Seiji rubbed his bare chin a bit. Seiji understood where he was coming from, and yet he still remained speechless. For what reason? It was obvious, he was getting all the words out of the way before he would speak. Hisashi continued on his huge rant.
Hisashi smirked in Seiji's face because he knew he was right. "If you think about it, YOU, can't treat her like that...because its just, not, right." Hisashi took delight in using Seiji's words against him.
"Tell me I'm wrong, Seiji."
After Hisashi was done, and had a smug look on his face, Seiji rolled his shoulders a bit, as if stretching for what he was about to say.
"You thought about every little detail, didn't you? I'm so proud of you. Heh, not really. So, thank you for the bravo, it was all confirmed in the reports, so, no, it was not some sort of miracle, I can do something like that, whether or not you believe it is up to you. As for the celebration, yes, I invited Kimiko, but I invited my other friends as well, but alas, they could not join me. They all had something that they were going to do tomorrow."
Seiji took a deep breath in preparation for his next section. He straightened his back and spread his arms out as if stretching once again.
"Drunk? Yeah, I don't sound it, nor do I probably look it, but I drank a majority of the sake, just ask Kimiko. And last I checked, I didn't take advantage of her, I simply put myself out there. Alcohol infused, yes, which is the wrong answer, but otherwise I am to shy. A bit of courage is all it was for myself, as for her, she didn't seem to be affected by the drinking, so yeah. As a matter of fact, I will have the courage after this little talk, thanks."
Seiji smirked and rubbed the back of his head before interlacing his fingers behind his head and taping his right foot on the ground. This was an interesting convo, as Seiji figured. Now, he continued.
"You aren't wrong, at all. But at the same time, are you willing to pull her away from her best friend? Are you willing to destroy her, just to get to me? Think about that before you patronize me with your good ethnics. I am no fool, and sure, at times I may not seem to be the smartest, but at least I can care for my friends and let them make their own decisions. Mistakes are made on your own, not by being told what is and isn't right. So, instead of acting like her daddy, let go and let her be her own person!"
Seiji had threw in his whole dollar instead of just his two cents. This was the first time Seiji had really let himself go this far as to speak his mind, but it had to be done, it was his only choice.

Seiji laughed slightly when Hisashi called him on being rakish, it was an amusing thought, but when Hisashi finished his view on the situation, he was delighted at Seiji's momentary speechlessness. It was hard to deny the truth in it. Seiji rolled his shoulders in preparation the tension so thick he probably needed a moment to collect his thoughts.
His response was longwinded and Hisashi only spoke up at certain points.
"...It was all confirmed in the reports, so, no, it was not some sort of miracle,..."
"Not all of it, Seiji, there's this matter of some mysterious human that helped you. I find that very interesting, a human with the power to help push back a Menos? How is it there's no evidence of him? I think I'd like to meet this human, after all he deserves some congratualtions as well." Hisashi rubbed his goatee again and went a step further..."You know, if he's so strong, maybe he beat back the menos and left you to take the credit."
"...I invited my other friends as well, but alas, they could not join me..."
"Isn't that convienient..." Hisashi snidely remarked under his breath.
Like some great bout the two traded verbal blows, Hisashi smiled thinly as Seiji breathed deeply and straightened his back for round two.
"Drunk? Yeah, I don't sound it, nor do I probably look it, but I drank a majority of the sake, just ask Kimiko..."
"No need, I can smell it on you."
"And last I checked, I didn't take advantage of her, I simply put myself out there. Alcohol infused, yes, which is the wrong answer, but otherwise I am too shy. A bit of courage is all it was for myself,..."
"Given how close you two were, you don't know how you'd react while intoxicated. Also, do you drink before battle, Seiji? Do you need your 'courage' then as well?"
Ding, Ding! Seiji smirked and rubbed the back of his head while Hisashi had taken up his folded arm defense and stole a glance out over the Seireitei. It was a nice place to share a drink after all, why hadn't he thought of it... The two fighters faced each other again...
"You aren't wrong, at all. But at the same time, are you willing to pull her away from her best friend?"
"Best friend? If not for me and Masanori, Kimiko may never have joined the court guard squads and you might never have met her." There was a sense that maybe Hisashi felt like he was owed something, like the whole thing wouldn't have even been possible without him.
"...Mistakes are made on your own, not by being told what is and isn't right. So, instead of acting like her daddy, let go and let her be her own person!"
Hisashi's eyes narrowed slightly, "I led Kimiko to this, I think I'm within my right to look out for her." Maybe Seiji was getting to Hisashi a little bit.
When Seiji had finished Hisashi ran a hand through his hair and turned a smouldering gaze upon him. "You know, Seiji. I don't think I've ever heard you speak your mind so much. Probably why I didn't give you much credit before. You're the great, sake powered wonder..."
Hisashi sighed, looking thoughtfully at the ground a moment before speaking again. "It's interesting that you choose this spot for your celebration. It does have a nice view of Seireitei."

Hisashi rubbed his goatee again and went a step further..."You know, if he's so strong, maybe he beat back the menos and left you to take the credit."
Seiji knew the answer to this. There was multiple ways to put it, so he would try. "Well, you see, after explosions were going, from the cero, I guess the police were called. Since they can't see me, I was in no trouble, but they could see him, and he didn't want to get caught... Or that was how I perceived it. I'm sure he would be delighted to tell the story of our efforts to drive off the menos, if only there was a way to find him. I can't, so maybe next time you're there you can go look for him." Seiji was right on the money with that "uppercut" of a response.
"No need, I can smell it on you."
"I'm sure, which is why I don't know why you would say I'm trying to take advantage of her, she drank way less, actually, it would be the other way around if someone was taking advantage of someone else." Seiji's retort was a swift one and he grinned along with it.
"Given how close you two were, you don't know how you'd react while intoxicated. Also, do you drink before battle, Seiji? Do you need your 'courage' then as well?"
"Ah, yes, now that you mention it, I do not. She didn't either, and ya know what? Eventually it could happen again, with time, and maybe the next time we won't be intoxicated, how would you go about trying to put that one down? As for drinking before a fight, I do not. Although, it is a different 'courage' than talking to someone who you care deeply for." Seiji snidely retorted another quick one.
Jab for jab, punch for punch, going into round five they were about even. Seiji folded his arms. He felt confident in his words. Every time Hisashi made something sound bad, Seiji had a way out. It was almost effortless at this point, since Seiji was in the zone.
"Best friend? If not for me and Masanori, Kimiko may never have joined the court guard squads and you might never have met her." There was a sense that maybe Hisashi felt like he was owed something, like the whole thing wouldn't have even been possible without him.
"Ha! After the way you treat her, why would she want to repay that debt? Pointless if you think about it. Sure if you didn't bring her in I might not of met her, but if you found her and then just left her, eventually someone else would of found her due to her strong reishi. You want compensation? You picked the wrong job for that buddy." Seiji's comment was sharp and somewhat twisted. Seiji was slowly getting deeper and deeper into Hisashi's cold dark mind, and if he kept it up, there may be no return.
"I led Kimiko to this, I think I'm within my right to look out for her."
That was it, time for a hopeful knockout blow. Seiji had worn Hisashi down and found that weak point he had been looking for.
"Within your right to look out for someone who makes their own decisions? Someone who, even though I hurt a few times, still came back to this friendship. There isn't anything you can do to take her friendship away from me, I hope you can see that ya old bat. She doesn't like the way you treat her, get over it and be a better person."
When Seiji had finished Hisashi ran a hand through his hair and turned a smouldering gaze upon him. "You know, Seiji. I don't think I've ever heard you speak your mind so much. Probably why I didn't give you much credit before. You're the great, sake powered wonder..."
"Heh, sake powered wonder... No thanks. I don't need that as a nickname, besides, the way I see things, I study before I speak my mind, but right now... It's different. It's not sake powered, it's the fact that I see my friend aching for one of her friends to be normal again, or at least not an asshole." Seiji smirked as Hisashi glared him down.
"It's interesting that you choose this spot for your celebration. It does have a nice view of Seireitei."
Seiji looked back out, looking out over Seireitei. "This has always been one of my favorite spots to hang out, besides, me and my friend met Kimiko here... He couldn't be here as I told you earlier."
Now that Seiji had some information on Hisashi, or at least some words that maybe e could use and twist against Hisashi.
"Hisashi, tell me, why the distrust in me? Do you just don't like me, or is it cuz you can't control me like that Masanori? That's your problem, you have to be in control, and when you're not, it scares you. It drives you insane, and that's why you 'watch over' Kimiko, cuz you want to be in control of her as well." Seiji's accusation was straight forward, but how would it fair against this dark beast?

Surprisingly, Seiji was able to keep up with Hisashi's responses. Good for him, but how long would he last? Again, Hisashi made comments when he felt appropriate.
"...I'm sure he would be delighted to tell the story of our efforts to drive off the menos, if only there was a way to find him. I can't so maybe next time you're there you can go look for him."
Hisashi stroked his goatee again with a pondering expression. He didn't think much of this human rumor until he heard more about it from Seiji, but now he was interested. "You know, Seiji, I think I may just do that. A human with that kind of ability could be 'interesting' to talk to..." Hisashi made interesting sound more like... useful.
Seiji's response saying that it would be the other way around if someone was to be taken advantage of, was just about ignored. Kimiko wasn't the type to do something like that and Hisashi knew it.
"...Eventually it could happen again, with time, and maybe the next time we won't be intoxicated, how would you go about trying to put that one down?..."
Hisashi scoffed "Heh, next time? Well if there is a next time I may not have to do anything, I'm sure you'll find a way to make it awkward or dangerous. After all your current record is SO flawless..." Hisashi gestured with his right hand as if making the gesture for a kido blast. He made a click click sound like the firearm weapons that humans used.
Seiji's next comments irritated Hisashi and moreso his greedy zanpakuto spirit. "Ha! After the way you treat her, why would she want to repay that debt? Pointless if you think about it. Sure if you didn't bring her in I might not of met her, but if you found her and then just left her, eventually someone else would of found her due to her strong reishi. You want compensation? Hisashi's reishi flared slightly, an ominous feeling that would send shivers up most recruits. He narrowed his gaze at Seiji, the boy had some nerve speaking to him like that, he was of noble blood. He deserved respect, and Kimiko should want to be with him, not Seiji. The flare of power subsided moments after as Hisashi took a deep breath and straightened his back. A smile spread across his lips as he considered his response.
"Look here, Seiji. I'm going to be the bigger man here and ignore those insults. But what I meant about it being interesting that you choose this spot, is because of its history. This being a place for punishment, more specifically, execution... Just something to think about." Hisashi nodded slightly and then turned away from Seiji.
"Hisashi, tell me, why the distrust in me? Do you just don't like me, or is it cuz you can't control me like that Masanori? That's your problem, you have to be in control, and when you're not, it scares you. It drives you insane, and that's why you 'watch over' Kimiko, cuz you want to be in control of her as well."
Hisashi glanced back over his shoulder, "You're deceptively well spoken for someone who has had so much to drink. Think you have it all figured out don't you? Well I wouldn't want to burst your bubble."

"You know, Seiji, I think I may just do that. A human with that kind of ability could be 'interesting' to talk to..." Hisashi made interesting sound more like... useful.
Weird, it was almost as if he wanted to use Mikhail. Wait... That was exactly what he wanted! Interesting Seiji's monkey ass! He knew what Hisashi was saying by "interesting". Seiji was able to just read it from Hisashi, almost like he knew him! But Seiji would eventually be thrown for a loop.
Though this was not really a "loop" for Seiji to be thrown through, it was almost as if his was referring to when Seiji blew a hole through Kimiko's kimono... He wouldn't know that unless she told him... It was a possibility.
"Or nothing bad will happen, y'know, like tonight, except for you coming along, even though this was a good opportunity to talk things over. I found it quite useful, so all in all, this night had no flaw." Seiji smirked at flawing Hisashi's theory, or what Seiji thought was to be a theory.
This made Seiji smile. He hit a nerve, finally. He would have to note this and find the more specific reason in this nerve. Seiji didn't know whether he should exploit it now, or just keep it tucked down under his belt. Either way, Seiji had to listen to Hisashi's next little rant.
"Look here, Seiji. I'm going to be the bigger man here and ignore those insults. But what I meant about it being interesting that you choose this spot, is because of its history. This being a place for punishment, more specifically, execution... Just something to think about."
Seiji held his hand to his chin for a moment to think about it. Blank. Empty, nothing, just blank! Seiji didn't know what Hisashi was getting at, but he kinda figured that he was referring to something along the lines of execution. Eh, Seiji wasn't in that mind set, so he decided to ignore this one.
"You're deceptively well spoken for someone who has had so much to drink. Think you have it all figured out don't you? Well I wouldn't want to burst your bubble."
"I've always been well spoken, I'm just to lazy to show it, so you overlooked me. As for having it all figured out, no, I know I don't, not yet anyway. Although, I am working on it. So, in this case, burst my bubble, come on, try me. I know you know the score so far. I've gotten two or three good ones on ya, hitting them nerves of yours, and you haven't hit a one on me, so, try me."
Seiji was asking for it now. He had gotten cocky and might be shit out of luck. He smiled and folded his arms watching the ominous Hisashi. Seiji could not predict what would happen next, nor did he care to. Hejust wanted to show that he was something that should not be overlooked, and maybe Hisashi would watch out for him from time to time, but we will have to see.

No flaw?! Seiji's overconfidence was staggering, it was almost humorous to Hisashi after that initial flare up of anger.
"I've always been well spoken, I'm just too lazy to show it, so you overlooked me. As for having it all figured out, no, I know I don't, not yet anyway. Although, I am working on it. Hisashi began a slow sarcastic clapping, and a devilish smirk spread across his face. "Well boy, I must say, you put on quite a show of being a lazy simpleton. It's pretty easy to see you've gone and said TOO much, quite literally. Oh, this is priceless, I don't have to do anything. Go on and pretend all you want, you'll bring shame on yourself."
Hisashi chuckled and shook his head, turning around to leave.

Hisashi slow clapped at Seiji as he then proceeded to turn around. Seiji spoke to much? What did he do wrong this time? Wait, was this just a ploy by this monster? Something to get into Seiji's head and make him want to know what he was thinking or meaning? Seiji had some many questions for that, but he continued to think about the rest of Hisashi's words.
Shame... How is Seiji bringing or going to bring, shame upon himself? More questions arose, that was his curious nature kicking in. He wanted to know, but kinda knew that if he were to jump onto this with questions he wouldn't get his answers, so instead Seiji smiled and decided it was time to leave Hisashi.
"It was fun Hisashi, really it was, but I should probably go. I might be taking a nap in the trees tomorrow, if you'd like to continue this little conversation." Seiji smiled and waved as Hisashi left down the hill.
Seiji then grabbed the jugs of sake, well one and a half jugs of sake, the other one being empty already. His mind was still swirling with question, but it was sleepy time, so Seiji decided not to worry about it. Seiji walked down the hill by himself, slowly fading into the darkened backdrop.
