With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Yumiko was tired from her newly acquired duties as the fifth seat in the third division, so, she decided it was time for some R&R so to speak. Well, knowing Yumiko, it would be more like drinking and relaxation. It was a fine evening, the sun had just set, the air was nice and warm, and Yumiko had stumbled upon the hot springs area. Not only this, but she had also found a little bottle of sake. This would make this night a very interesting one indeed.
Yumiko had gotten her robes and entered the changing area. There she had begun to undress, taking off everything and folding it up nice and neat. After this she put on the robe that she had received at the front desk and decided to go take a nice little dip in the hot springs. Of course, before this, she had put her hair up into a ponytail, just to keep it in order.
Before walking out onto the patio area of the hot springs, Yumiko grabbed her bottle of sake. She opened it up and took a big whiff of it, smelling it's very essence. This sent chills down her very spine and made her shiver a little bit. She then proceeded to take a small sip, just to get a taste for it. It was delicious! Now she had to decide if she would take it with her out there, or if she would leave it with her stuff. Well, seeing as how when she got out there she was gonna take off her robe, she should probably take it with her, so she did.
Yumiko inhaled deeply, smelling the fresh air. This air was a combination of the hot springs and the warm summer night. It really did feel good out tonight. Yumiko walked over to the far spring and took off her robe. She set it down, along with her bottle of sake, and climbed into the spring. It was kinda hot, or hot compared to the warm air outside. Yumiko really didn't mind though, actually, since it was water, she enjoyed it a bit.
Yumiko swam over to the edge to grab her bottle. She opened it up and took a nice big drink of it. Delicious! She closed it and set it back down. Yumiko swam over to the far wall and rested up against it. The warmth from the springs was so relaxing, she didn't feel like doing anything, hell, she felt like she weighed nothing! She stared up into the star lit sky and just exhaled deeply, submerging herself almost all the way under the water. It covered everything up to the bottom of her chin. Tonight was simply amazing.

Soon after the first occupant entered and got settled in, another woman appeared. She carried a large jug of something slung over her shoulder. It seemed a bit too ornate to be sold in just any store.
A box of some sort, rather ornate as well, is in her other hand. What's in it? Well, it looks like something of a box used to deliver food.
The woman, whom had long green tinted hair, and was clad in a simple white robe set them down. She huffed to herself, then slipped her robe off revealing a long bandage wrapped about her chest multiple times, and a loin cloth. Apparently fancy was not in her plans for undergarments.
She looked gorgeous save for the exhausted look on her face. Her eyes expressed it the most.
She picked up her luggage so to speak, then turned to the pool, and it's then she realized someone else was there. “Heya,” she said flatly, then waded into the pool. The box she carried floated apparently as she let it do so as she waded across to find a spot to sit down.
She settled in calmly, and relaxed a bit with a sigh.

After another long day working with the patrol forces, Kimiko's office was feeling cramped, with a frustrated sigh she'd sealed and sent off the last of the reports with another member.
"That's it, I'm taking the rest of the day off." When the guy looked up at her and blinked she made a shooing gesture. "Don't look at me like that, go on."
When the patrolman left her in peace, Kimiko reached up and rubbed the back of her neck putting her forehead to her arm as it rested on the desk. She was wearing her silken black and red kimono, but there was a difference in her attire today. Up in her long dark hair was the ornamental chopsticks that Seiji had given her as a gift. Small yellow feathers attached to them were a bright mark among the dark tresses.
Kimiko suddenly decided that a soak in the hot springs would be just the way to relieve the stress of the day. She lifted her head and pulled out a drawer beside her digging into it for a book. One of the other girls said it was really good, some romantic novel or whatever. It wasn't something she normally read but maybe it could be fun. She tucked the book away in her obi and headed towards the springs.
When she arrived she recieved her robe and towel and went to the changing room. Kimiko's crimson gaze swept the room as it seemed someone had just exited to the springs area. With no one immediately around her she went over towards a bench and hummed a soft lilting tune as she undressed. She draped the robe about her shoulders and went to gather her clothes, when the book fell to the floor. She stopped humming and thought again about taking it, then shrugged and picked it up.
When she exited the door to the springs, she had the robe on. Her towel, with the book and her zanpakuto settled on top of it. She paused only a moment when she realized there were other girls here offering a soft smile and nod in greeting as she settled to kneel beside the pool side. setting her things in arms reach as she removed the ornaments from her hair and slipped off her robe to enter the pool. Once in there Kimiko's eyes widened in a moment of shock as she adjusted to the heat, then a pleased murmur as she got settled, her eyes closing to slits.

Yumiko let out a sigh of relief. It was very relaxing in the hot springs. That and the fact that she loved water, and she also had a bottle of sake. Today was going to be a good day off! Then Yumiko's quiet was disturbed by someone, another woman had entered and even spoke to her! It was a simple statement, but she still said something. Well, she might as well be nice, just so she doesn't ruin her own mood, or the woman who had entered.
"Good evening." Yumiko flashed a slight smile as to say that the woman is welcome to stay for a little bit.
Yumiko let herself sink down a bit more, almost being submerged completely. It was very relaxing to know that even rough days can end in such a nice manner.
Yumiko could hear humming coming from inside, and then it stopped. Another woman had walked out, carrying some of her things. It looked like her zanpaktou, a towel, and some sort of reading material. It was kinda interesting, and Yumiko wanted to know what both of them had. They both had something of their own, so, Yumiko decided to ask both of them about it.
She looked back over to the first woman. "So, uh, what's in the box?" Yumiko tilted her head and rose up out of the water a small bit.
Yumiko waited for a response before she would ask the other question.

She didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the world around her seeming rather aloof to the things going on around her.
As the third person arrived, she ended up caught up in her own, long, throaty yawn... … and then another! Man she sounded tired!
… the newcomer didn't say any sort of greeting though! And Kuu thought she was the lazy one here. Ah well.
She opened the box she brought with her, which floated next to her, and started to pull out it's contents. And just in time to be asked what those were!
“Dinner,” she replied calmly to the query of the box's contents. Steamed white rice, not too perishable meat strips, and veggies. It looked like a large dinner. More than anyone could eat on their own without entering the realm of silly. Perhaps she anticipated sharing her meal? Who knows? She's not telling.
“Want some?” she offered a bowl to she who asked with a tranquil manner. Oh so very neutral in tone, indeed!
But deep down she rued the fact that her niceties might get in the way of drinking the contents of her jug, but ah well. It's not going anywhere. May as well try and be sociable.

Kimiko hadn't wanted to disturb the other girls relaxing here, it seemed to be a trying day for others besides her. As they started getting chatty Kimiko quietly observed for the moment. One of the girls had very long green hair with neatly trimmed bangs, and intense eyes that nearly matched the shade of her hair. She had a slender yet athletic build, like a swimmer or runner's physique maybe.
The other girl's hair was long as well, shorter then the first girl's, but not by much. A stark shade of pink that made Kimiko think of the young lieutenant of Eleventh Division. Her almond-shaped eyes were pink as well they glittered with curiousity as she asked what the other girl had brought to the springs with her.
"Dinner," The green-haired girl replied calmly after a series of weary yawns. "Want some?"
Kimiko blinked at the box and the absurd amount of food it contained, way more then enough for one person to eat. How on earth, err Soul Society, did she keep that figure!?
Then Kimiko thought, Wasn't there some thing about not eating within a certain time of swimming? It could be dangerous. Not to mention she's bound to get rice in the spring! Her crimson eyes narrowed at the food, the thought of some small accident having them all swimming in a hot bath of rice, meat, and veggies like a Shinigami Stew!
...Still, the food did look pretty good. Kimiko hadn't eaten before coming out to the spring, and didn't bring any food or drink. Just try not to think about it. She thought to herself, which of course was an impossibility and made Kimiko sigh.

“Dinner,” The woman said as she pulled out the contents. Rice! Meat! and to top it all off, Veggies! The aroma was intoxicating really. It made Yumiko's very essence rumble in hunger! Her stomach could be heard anywhere in the patio area.
The other girl began to blink as the vast amount of food came out of the box. It must of surprised her, though it did not surprise Yumiko for some reason, probably due to her stomach thinking before her head.
Even though Yumiko noticed this, she couldn't take her eyes off the food. There was some drool coming out of her mouth, and her eyes sparkled as if she had seen the most awesomest bestest thing ever!
"Want some?"
Yumiko gasped. "No fooling, you gonna share that lovely meal with meh?!" She seemed rather excited to have even a little bit of this food.
Then there was a sigh from the other girl. What was her problem? Something wrong with eating in the water?! No! It couldn't be! That thought alone was so horrid, so despicable, that it made Yumiko want to ask her what was going on with her. The smart ass was about to shine.
"What's your problem? Don't like food, or don't like company?" This was a bit straight forward for Yumiko, but then again, she was in water, and she wasn't about to make some sort of cryptic message just to insult the other girl. It might ruin her time!

“It beats being stared at by a drooling person,” she teased in a deadpan manner as she put some of each ingredient in a bowl with chopsticks, then offered it with a gentle thrust.
As she waited for the bowl to be accepted, she looked at the evil eye-ing, crimson eyed woman, “Oiy, you eat, too,” she spoke with some authority, though she really had none. Food tends to make people feel better.
Honestly, the last thing she needed was someone staring at her as she ate. Staring … hungrily. Drooling at the awesome food … hungrily! With mouth ever craving the drink along with it! Can one get dry mouth while drooling?
It's not really home cooked, or anything, but it's rather posh takeout from a restaurant.
She realized now that this is why she had multiple sets of dinnerware in her box. Would suck to share a bowl, wouldn't it? And chopsticks. Or be stared at by hungry, jealous people. Rar and junk. Totally.
Sure splitting her food three ways meant less for her, but hey, one of'em had booze, or something. It'd pan out, right?

The green-haired girl's food was revealed and the other girl immediately began drooling. Ugh! Kimiko withdrew a little bit at the pink-haired girl's drooling. "No fooling, you gonna share that lovely meal with meh?!" She asked excitedly.
Kimiko had sighed then over her decision of not having eaten earlier, thinking maybe she should keep snacks in her desk or something.
"What's your problem? Don't like food, or don't like company?" The pink-haired girl pointedly asked Kimiko to which her eyes widened confusedly.
"Huh?" She blinked again thinking her sigh must have sounded derisive or something. Then again, the girl's attitude made her consider her answer.
Before Kimiko could answer, the Green-haired girl spoke with some authority. "Oiy, you eat too."
Kimiko was a little surprised at the demand, but shrugged and drifted a step or two closer before responding to Yumiko. "Honestly, I was thinking, about there being some danger to eating within a certain time of swimming,... Then, I remembered that I hadn't eaten in a while."
Kimiko looked back toward the green-haired girl who was exceptionally prepared with multiple sets of dinnerware, and might have politely refused had she not already been preparing another dish. Well, as long as she had enough...
Kimiko couldn't help but smirk and blush a little as she asked a question, brushing some hair from her face. "Do you always come to the springs prepared for moochers? That is to say, thanks, and that I wouldn't mind returning the favor sometime. My name is Kimiko."

The bowl of tantalizing yumminess was right in front of her! She didn't even her the smart ass comment to her about drooling, the food was just to much of a distraction! It pleased her so! She grabbed the bowl, gently, to be nice, and started to eat it slowly. She didn't want to be to rude and shove it down her throat, but it was so delicious! She continued to eat, somewhat toning them out for a few moments.
About the time Yumiko came back into the conversation she heard one thing, and one thing only; moochers. Was she calling Yumiko a moocher?! How dare she! Yumiko swallowed the bit still in her mouth the jumped in with a remark.
"Maybe she likes sharing! Ya every think of that? And besides, she offered... And you are getting some too! I don't know why you calling me a moocher and stuff, I was gonna share my drink with her, it's the least I could do." Yumiko had a speak for the one word 'moocher'.
So this girl was Kimiko, but the other one? Yumiko drifted over to where her jug was and set her bowl down. She drifted back over and offered some to the other girl.
"My name is Yumiko, and would you like some of my sake?" Yumiko smiled at the other girl who had yet to introduce herself.
