With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

“HI!” Nekoruru said happily in reply to Starrk, and seemed happy as can be.
Matanza heaved a sigh of relief. That time bomb was over. At least until she heard Starrk's young Fracción spoke.
Nekoruru looked at Lilynette questioningly, but her attention was quickly grabbed as Hatter put an arm around her. She looked at him questioningly with a tilt of her head as he spoke, then watched as he cartwheeled off. Her mind dun got scattered.
With a dumbfounded look Nekoruru flopped back down onto the table, and then continued to watch the goings on. Hat guy said something about a vote, but it was all white noise to her. She stared at him vapidly.
Apache raised an eyebrow at being told to piss off, “THAT'S IT!!” She lunched across the table, but was held back my Mila-Rose who laughed a bit. “Damnit! LEGGO!” Apache shouted, raved, and ranted, flailing held back as Sun-Sun spoke, then Hatter. She prolly missed his hole proposal in the bout of comedic flailing.
Matanza grimaced a bit. Really? She struggled to keep quiet over her … what was the word? … okay, she loathed voluntarily going on. The arrancar nature of her was not at all thrilled with the prospect of working with people she wasn't dominating in her off hours.
Halibel, too, found herself hard pressed to pick a door. As co-operative as she might be, she wasn't thrilled with such games. Still, she glanced about, and saw some of the joy it brought. That was enough to spur her on. She stood, resolute, and exemplifying of the ideals she held dear, and chimed in for the sake of the group, “Door one,” she said sternly, arms crossed.
Insert noise of a car braking, and crashing.
Matanza blinked at Halibel, and stared. She wasn't aware that the Tercera played games … learn something new every day, huh? Still, she wasn't quite motivated to pick a door. She wanted to see if anyone else would.
Apache stopped her flailing, and looked at Halibel confused. She wasn't sure what was going on as she was in a blind rage.
Mila-Rose raised a brow, still gripping Apache. She wasn't that surprised Halibel picked a door, but then again, she was. Unification was one thing, but games? Halibel wouldn't even play sudoku!
Sun-Sun remained enigmatic with her face hidden behind the sleeve. She was more curious if anyone else would chime in.
Nekoruru noticed the attention going to the large breasted blonde and a lot of noise stopping all of a sudden. She tilted her head, and made a noise of confusion.
Alice took note of the votes, if anyone else decided to give them. She noticed that some were reluctant to give one. Hatter's games have been rumored ti be rather physical but she had made sure to convince him to avoid such antics with his list of guest. It took some convincing, but he chose two activities that would avoid such things.
He couldn't allow Celia from leaving, but then he remembered, the door out is no longer the same. "My dear dormouse, you act as if I am one you can predict. I would never demean anyone in this room to a rat maze, but if you feel unequipped to undergo my mystery rooms, then by all means excuse yourself." Doing a finger pyramid of contemplation while he slacked in his chair, Hatter tried to peek the curiosity out of Celia. Sure he was baiting her with words of fancy, but she wouldn't be able to leave anyways.
It would seem that Hatter's words went in one ear and out the other with Nekoruru, the poor girl had a look on her face that looked like she was broken. Starrk was relieved that she was distracted from him, she was very unusual. Lilynette sat back down, annoyed but controlled. He looked at the doors, then at Halibel and company. It would seem that she thought she can decide for everyone, that wouldn't do. She looked at Starrk with an irritated look on her face, arms crossed. "You just going to let her take charge?" Putting emphasis on her as she motioned toward Halibel.
Starrk rested his head in his hand as he starred at the doors. He really didn't care, if she wanted to pick the door why should he stop her? "Sure, if she wants door number one, let's just go with it." He looked bored as usual but he could feel the angry eyes if his smaller half piercing his very soul.
Jeanne thought this was going to be a tea party, but she had not received any tea, nor did she get cakes. This was just kind of circus with that madman as the ring leader. But she had to maintain her facade at being a sweet person in front of these people, to better win trust of very powerful elements. "If everyone is picking one, then let's just go with that." If only she could say what she really wanted to, that this was just a waste of time. She would make that man pay for wasting her valuable time.
Hatter walked over to Alice, peered over her shoulder to see the tally."We can assume that Bishop, Knight, and Rook will vote the same as White Queen. Which means, majority rules." Sending door two away, a drum roll rimmed through the room without a source to be seen.
"Now, I know you all have been dying to know what's behind this door. I know I have, even though I made the door and this is my tower and I did remember putting pants on today and I already know what's behind the door and..." Alice quickly whispered in his ear to stop him from rambling. "quite right, I suppose I should just open the door."
The drum roll came back as he reached for the door, turning the handle, dramatic pause....and the door fell over into a four walled box. It revealed a machine with two speakers on either side of a platform with a see through teleprompter, and two microphones. One microphone was on a stand to the right of the teleprompter while the other was placed on one of the speakers.
Lilynette's eyed the machine with a strange smirk on her face. It was almost eerie how she looked at the thing. Starrk knew what that was, having gone to a Karaoke bar with Lilynette on their extended vacation, it was not an enjoyable experience. "should of picked door two." Commenting under his breath and shaking his head in his palm.
Jeanne had no idea what that thing was, but she figured no good would come of it. But before she could get up and leave, a platter of sweet cakes were placed before her. Her eyes went wide with joy at this and tea was poured into her empty cup. The scent was exquisite and she decided to stay until she got her full.
Alice had stepped out and brought back platters of food and trays of drinks. Since the activity was revealed, she was given the task of presenting the refreshments.
"That's right friends, the ancient art of Karaoke. Who wants the go first?" He held out the microphone to anyone willing to take up the challenge.
"My dear dormouse," Hatter said as Celia turned, raising a brow. "You act as if I am one you can predict. I would never demean anyone in this room to a rat maze, but if you feel unequipped to undergo my mystery rooms, then by all means excuse yourself."
"Oh?" Celia said, folding her arms but still not turning to face the hat-wearing madman. She glanced to her fraccion, Neva who seemed indifferent as always and Adela who was pouting. Quite a bit. "I suppose I could indulge my fraccion and see what you have in store..."
"Heheheh," Adela giggled, thinking that Hatter'd gotten Celia. Neva knew better. While the bait had worked, it wasn't because Celia hadn't known Hatter was baiting her. She knew it, and Neva was certain that others knew it was well. "Oi, Princesa, Celia-sama en realidad cayó por esa mierda!"
"Adela," Celia warned, coolly planting a hand on her fraccion's shoulder. Though she was not as immersed as the twins, she could understand what Adela meant. Adela shrunk under her glare, lips stretching in embarassment.
Celia glanced to Hatter, not caring which door was picked at all. She would see what nonsense he had planned and leave if she found it pointless.
"That's right friends, the ancient art of Karaoke. Who wants the go first?"
Celia blinked. Karaoke, well, she knew what it was, but it was quite...she would rather avoid it. She turned without another word to leave before Adela grabbed her hand and raised it up excitedly. "Celia-sama wants to go first!"
"Munoz!"
"Adela...what are you doing?"
Adela leaned over to Neva, still holding Celia's arm up, and whispered, "What, you don't want to hear that? I do. I've got no idea what she sounds like."
"So you volunteered her?" Neva questioned softly, her gaze as flat as ever but her lips curled into the faintest of frowns. "That's...completely disrespectful..."
Character List "Let's eat, Grandma!" "Let's eat Grandma!" Commas save lives.
Halibel looked at the karaoke machine … and then sat back down, silently. She was all for fun and comradeship, but she apparently wanted no part of what loosely translated into as 'tone deaf.' There was not enough alcohol in hueco mundo to take up the microphone.
Her Fracción stared at the device well aware of what it was, and knew the hatter was a sadistic bastard right then and there, and they, too shied away into the background.
Matanza sunk a bit in her seat. Perhaps she fought the urge to liquify, and flee outright from the madness that is karaoke. She certainly was not volunteering!
The combined 5 of them had an inner, collective, sigh of relief that someone else was taking the bullet first.
Nekoruru stared at the machine … then looked at the microphone … she wasn't sure what was going on. She just sprawled out on the table, and watched.
Hatter was enjoying himself, seeing that Celia stopped at his ploy. There was a slight chance that she knew about his bait but he didn't care. What mattered was that she was staying and that Adela volunteered her to go first. He looked around, for some reason he could have sworn that a group sigh of relief echoed in his head.
Instantly, Hatter was behind Celia and pushing her toward the stage. "I know it's not your style, but if you want to dress the part push the green button." It would be interesting to see Celia dressing the part of a Diva, but she would never do that. Someone would have to do it for her. "You know, back-up singers would help" A wink at Adela and Neva at his little hint.
Alice continued to serve the various guest their selected plates. With the research that Hatter as done, he was able to figure out the favorite foods and drinks of all his guest. Jeanne was already enjoying her sweet cakes and tea, though there was something odd about the cakes. A certain taste that she was unfamiliar with, she couldn't place it.
Starrk, being relived as everyone else in the room. It was not that he couldn't sing, it was that he didn't want to. The experience was horrific and he'd rather not go through it again.
Lilynette on the other hand, enjoyed the fact that she had attention on her and got to see Starrk sing. She was ready to volunteer, but she wasn't quick enough on the draw. Upset, she pouted in her chair as Alice came around with their platters.
Nekoruru was next to be served, though her platter was among the biggest. She was reluctant to get too close to the cat-girl, the last time she was groped rudely. Her platter consisted of various fish, boob shaped jello mold, and some other things that should keep her happy. As quickly as Alice placed the platter, she moved away as fast as she could.
Matanza was next on the list and Alice had made her way around to her. She served the shape-changing woman that Hatter dubbed Looking Glass. She had never actually met the woman but she had heard the rumors just like anyone else. Alice was wary of anyone she had heard bad things about, but she would give her the benefit of the doubt for Hatter's sake.
Hatter made his way back to his seat after he set everything up for Celia. "Alright, don't worry about feeling bashful. We're all friends here so go all out. They'll be up soon too." The act of comforting Celia was a bit too far, maybe.
