Jericho gave Izaya a weird look. He was obviously not listening or something. Then again maybe he found the news shocking. Only that didn't make sense, were the Shinigami really not teaching them about the Arrancar? Maybe they were and Izaya just thought it was beneath him to learn it. He had showed a little bit of a bigot side to him during their fight. Even when Jericho had gone out of his way to smash weaklings he never classified someone's strength by their race. "Actually yes it is true. Though, there are possibly non aligned Arrancar that could be stronger though, I wouldn't know any of them." He said with a shrug. The kid was gonna have to face facts sooner or later, better he did it now before getting himself killed.
"Didn't you ever hear of Stark? He took on 2 Captain class vizards and 2 Captain Class Shinigami before they took him down. Oh, he has taken the spot of the 10th Espada so, I guess he would be classified as the first or second strongest right now." He stated, trying to perhaps give him a better outlook on what he faced. Perhaps he was trying to get him to stop underestimating Arrancar just because of their race. Only Jericho would know for sure. He then listened as Izaya explained his reasons for holding a grudge on her. He supposed he could respect that. "Alright I guess I can understand that, I have lost my share of battles as well... one a little more recently but, that's beside the point," He said nodding.
Jericho simply smiled at Izaya explaining Captains. He was very well aware of them. "I know about Bankai kid, I have been hit by one before and lived to tell the tale. Hell if they are stronger it just makes it that much more fun. Also anyways, I'm sure I could explain myself before the fight even got underway and hopefully end it right there. But, If not, I guess I will just have to give it my all then won't I," He said smiling reassuringly. It was true Captains were strong but, he had faith In his own poweer as well. His power was growing too, he could feel it, he hadn't reached his potentially yet, He just knew he hadn't. That's when the Shinigmi stated he would be leaving now. "Oh alright..." He said this as he offered a hand to help him get up.

As Izaya listened to Jericho's tale of Stark, he thought about being told something like that. Perhaps he had just not bothered to pay attention when he was being explained it the first time. Wait, hadn't that been the one that Kyoraku-taichou killed with his shikai? Yes, it had been that Espada. He remembered looking down on that fight when he heard about that action. Kyoraku-taichou could've ended that battle quickly but he didn't take the fight seriously and people died because of it.
"I heard of Stark. But, pardon my saying so...didn't Kyoraku-taichou end up killing him with his Shikai? I mean, yeah he's strong, but obviously not obscenely so." The more he thought about it, the more he realized that Jericho was simply trying to get him to not condescend to the Arrancar. That made sense; Jericho was an Arrancar. However, perhaps Jericho put too much pride in his own race as he tried to dissuade Izaya. It certainly seemed that way. He also seemed a little too confident as Izaya listened to him speaking of how he would act if he came across a captain. It was quite arrogant, Izaya thought, not noticing the hypocrisy there.
He didn't need to hear Jericho agreeing with his mindset on exacting revenge on Celia. He knew it made sense; he had initialized the thought process himself. He didn't need anyone telling him that his thoughts were rational. However, his slight moment of self-satisfaction was broken up as he kind of weened his way back into listening to Jericho. Apparently he had been "hit" with a bankai before and that made him complacent with his abilities. That didn't make much sense, but Izaya wouldn't call him on this illogical assumption quite yet. He still needed to get out of here mostly unscathed. So, he just kept quiet as he tried to stand up. It was hurting, but he was getting there. Jericho offered his hand so Izaya pulled himself up with that.
Walking to the other side of the cave to retrieve his zanpakuto, Izaya noticed that the ribs didn't hurt nearly as much as they had before. Or maybe he was just used to it after his long stint of having a set of mashed up ribs. Stooping down to get his nodachi, he felt the familiar pain of what had once been his norm. As he picked it up, he turned to leave the cave. He kind of supported himself on his sheathed sword as he walked. He used it as kind of a cane as he slumped out of the cave. He needed to get a ways away before he opened the Senkaimon. But before he exited, he turned to Jericho. "You know, Jericho-san. You've spent this time trying to correct my attitude of arrogance towards Arrancar. However, did you ever stop to think that you have a similar problem? You seem to greatly over-estimate your own strength. I won' lie, your strength is great, but it's only that of a Lieutenant now at best. You couldn't handle a Captain and deluding yourself into believing that will only get you killed."
With that jewel of wisdom, Izaya turned to leave. He didn't want to wait for Jericho's rebuttal. He unsheathed his sword and stabbed it into the air with a slight turn. The Senkaimon opened before him and he looked before it for a second. "Goodbye Jericho-san." And with that, he walked through the Senkaimon.

Jericho listened to Izaya's rebuttle. True, he had taken him down with shikai but, it had been a sneak attack. "Yeah but, if I recall correctly it was a sneak attack," he said shrugging. "Either way, to see both of them at full power in a one on one fight would be pretty sweet to see," He said smiling, imagining the possibility. Helping Izaya up he watched as he walked over and retrieved his zanpakuto, balancing himself on it like a crutch. Jericho found this relatively inventive. The Shinigami then made his way out of the cave and Jericho just followed along to the edge of the cave, just in case he needed further assistance. He didn't really think he needed it, he was a pretty tough guy in his opinion but, better to be safe than sorry. he Shinigami then turned around and said something that Jericho gave a little bit of thought. He supposed he was right, he was a little arrogant. But, that's just the way he was. "Well this may be true and its good that you acknowledge your arrogance as well, hopefully we will both learn from this experience," he said with a friendly smile. He had no ill feelings towards Izaya, even if he had attacked him first, it was only natural he supposed. He saw that Izaya didn't really wait for his words but, that was fine. He watched as he opened the Senkai mon and said his good bye. Jericho watched the kid enter the door and simply stated, "Bye kid, hopefully we will see eachother again, hopefully under better circumstances."With that he retrieved his own zanpakuto and sheathed it after watching the Senkaimon close. It had been a odd day but, a good one none the less. He then proceeded to walk out of the cave and made his way back to town, maybe he would pay a visit to Hueco Mundo, it had been a while since he had been home. (Thread ended)
