With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
The penguin arrancar moved out of the way of Neko's charge. Good. However, Neko really couldn't change directions in the air. He had to keep his direction as he slowly began to fall. But his enemy was not done with him yet. The man opened his mouth again to charge up another blast. Neko didn't truly care about this though, after the blast launched he raised his left hand and swatted it away. That was a mistake.
As soon as the attack touched him, it exploded. The force of this knocked him off his trajectory, slightly askew. Bits and pieces of his hollow exoskeleton began to chip and fall away. The top of his left ear fell to the ground and his feet touched it. With the rest chipped away, the exoskeleton began to repair itself and the top of his ear grew back. Neko turned its head to look up at the penguin Arrancar. Once more it launched a scream at its opponent.
Jinchou had no time to respond to the scream, taking the full attack. This blew him back into the building he was near. That hurt, and he'd make him pay. Or blow up, whichever was better. Jinchou moved a bit closer to the cat, opening his mouth, letting out a bomb. The bomb wouldn't be to difficult to avoid or even bring down. But this was a diversion. After smoke would clear from the bomb, he'd fire off another explosive bala, once he saw the cat thing again.
The cat watched with bored eyes as the penguin had been sent flying by the concussive force of the scream. He had no need to move, not yet. When there was no challenge before its eyes, Neko's body tended to just kinda do cat stuff. A large part of this cat stuff was being lazy. But that was neither here nor there. Once again, Jinchou threw out another bomb. Outstretching its left arm, the cat charged up its claw attack. The red energy leaped from the claws and dug into the bomb. This obviously caused another explosion. The cat crouched onto its fours as it waited for this smoke to clear, eager to see what its prey would try next.
Soon it got its answer as a quick-moving blast cut through the remnants of the smoke and smacked into the ground near the cat's feet. The explosion caused the cat to fly off behind it. It clattered against the ground until it skidded to a halt. That...that hurt. Neko was conscious enough to feel that pain. "Fuck." Standing slowly, the cat regained full control over the body and began to shake it off. Then, it turned its attention to the damned penguin that mocked him by hovering above. Running towards him on all fours, the cat then leaped into the air and swept at him with each paw repeatedly. It would skewer that damn penguin.
After his bala exploded near that cat thing, Jinchou laughed. Oh did he enjoy blowing shit up. If he couldn't do that, he couldn't live! But this could also be a problem, as he was to distracted thinking about his lovely explosion that he didn't see the thing coming at him, the cat would get him this time, and get him good. Would this finish Jinchou? Probably not. He always had an escape plan, even if it meant blowing himself up. Three claw attacks hit the penguin bomber, staggering him back. He snapped back to and knew what he wanted to do. He took a moment to get up and away from the cat, that way he could launch one of his better attacks.
Once he was far enough that he knew he could still hit, he opened his mouth as wide as he could. A rocket could be seen as it started to come out of his mouth. It would still take a few moments to fire off, but he didn't care, that cat thing couldn't do anything from down there.
The cat's attacks had landed upon the damned penguin. The penguin put some distance between the two of them and began to store up for some kind of attack. The cat fell slowly to the ground before looking up at its prey once again. If only it could fly, it'd be able to end this fight a lot sooner. However, this was not the case. It's tail waving, Neko got on all fours and opened up its mouth. It released a few concussive screams before it charged at the penguin. Once again it swiped, however, its claws began to glow red. At the close range it shot off its claw attack towards the penguin. At this distance, either of them would have a hard time dodging. So, perhaps the cat had put itself in a bad position. But it would skewer that fucking penquin. It would skewer it soon.
The force from the concussive screams blew him back a little, but he kept charging up the rocket. But then it happened; the red claws came flying towards Jinchou, and this would ultimately be his down fall. The first set of claws hit the rocket and it detonated, causing a massive explosion! Heavily damaging the penguin bomber, and just then the last claw hit and he went down. Jinchou was done for.
Mizuki saw the massive explosion and wanted to aid Neko, but she knew better. She had someone to fight, and she had to fight her well, otherwise she could get hurt. That would be bad, very bad. She moved to be to the right of the two still in the air, and she threw one of her crescents towards the womanly one.
Neko watched the penguin go down after the explosion. That was good. Neko was tired anyway. Half of his exoskeleton was blown off in the blast. Exhaling slowly, he layed his head back onto the building behind him. His eyes closed and he faded from consciousness.
Alice stayed next to Hatter as Jinchou had fought. Hatter had seemed to be willing to let Jinchou fight his own battle. They were supposed to jump in if it got bad. But it all ended so fast. After the explosion, she became visibly shaken. Then she watched as the human cat kill him, her shaking became more violent. She looked over to Hatter who also wore a sullen look. She wanted to make that human pay. And she would, in time.
But currently she was being attacked by the human girl. Stepping forward, she wanted to deflect the blast before any of it could reach Hatter. She concentrated her powers and deflected the crescent attack. She then lowered herself to the ground and began to walk towards her. "Well girl, it appears I shall be your opponent."
Mizuki charged her opponent, she was in fact young and naive, but she still knew how to fight. Hit hard and fast, and she'd win, right? She raised her shillelagh and took a swing. She had to hit, and if she did, it should do some damage, or at least she thought it would. But, this was an arrancar we were talking about, not just any old hollow. Either way, her attack was simple, for now.
The girl simply charged after Alice. Was she really that naive? Did she think that a swing of her puny little club would stop an Arrancar? This is why humans were not more than food. Alice simply raised her arm to block the swinging club. For a moment, her businesswoman-like face winced. It had actually hurt more than she'd anticipated. But not by much. Alice swiftly brought up her right leg and just aimed a toe kick at the girl's midsection.
Mizuki thought she hit her pretty good, but all she got was a wince. That could be good, or could be bad. As that thought crossed her mind, she felt a shift and say a toe kick coming her way. Just then, Mizuki threw her open hand downward, blocking the kick, then hopping back for a moment, she had to devise some sort of plan. Thinking about the hit with her stick, she only got a wince, this would be her determining factor that she couldn't use that effectively against her. She dropped it and took up a boxing style of stance. She would have to wear her down, or find an opening to fire off a beam or two. This would be a trying fight for Mizuki.
