The Child's Cry(Jo)

Jube stood with his shikai prepared to defend himself, when all of a sudden blood splattered on his clothing and even on his face. His eyes widened as he saw the little boy fall to the ground, cut into two halve. Jube stared at the boy and soon he regained his composure "Foolish" was all he said as he looked up to see Jo-aun attack the shinigami, she was attacking out of rage this would not do, a shinigami who is blinded by rage cannot see clearly. Jube was right, for although her attack was a success she was sent flying and now laid unconscious on the ground. Jube stepped over the child's dead body, his footsteps left a trail from the pool of blood he had stepped on Jube stood in front of the massive scorpion beast "How cold of you shinigami..." the man said with a chuckle "Me and you, we are not so different we both step on whomever we have to in order to obtain our goals".

Jube moved his sword down to his side as the man chuckled, "We are nothing alike, I stand for justice and understand that at times sacrifices must be made, for justice to prevail. You are just a deserter, a weakling looking to obtain power" Jube said harshly, the man glared at Jube as he heard his words. Then he thrust down his massive pincer, Jibe dashed dodging it as he ran zig zag under the massive scorpions body. Jibe stopped on the other side and turned, the scorpion turned to face him he raised his pincers as he laughed "TIME TO DIE SHINIGAMI!" the mans voice echoed as he thrust his pincers but suddenly stopped as his body fell down slamming onto the ground. Jube had wrapped his zanpaktou around the mans legs, and with a single pull they sliced the legs clean off, Jube's blade retracted to its normal size, as he watched the man fall and blood spread all over the ground reaching up to Jube's feet.

The man stared at Jube his eyes widened with terror as Jube raised his sword up to his face. Jube's sword then turned from a graceful blade to a deformed spike covered club like weapon, Jube swung down his weapon as it expanded and hit the man directly the blades sliced through him and the spikes pierced his body. Jube, brought his arm back as his blade returned to its normal size and reverted from shikai. Jube walked past the scorpions corpse, as it burst in a flash of reiatsu and reverted to the fat man laying in a pool of his own blood his zanpaktou broke in three. Jube put his sword back into its scabbard, as he reached Jo-aun, Jube knelt down and checked her pulse, 'Good shes not dead' he thought to himself. The shinigami stared at her silently for a while noticing how peaceful she looked, then he threw her over his shoulder and walked out of the cave with her. He would contact Soul Society about this cave once he was outside. Jube leaned, Jo-aun against a tree placing her under its shade, he called to Soul Society and told them about what had happened. Jube was told to stay there and wait for help to arrive, he did so he now stood in silence waiting for the other shinigami to arrive.

Jo-aun Shey moaned, rubbing her head, as she woke up. She looked up at Jube saying," I am so sorry Jube. I fought in rage and did not observate the situation correctly..." She envoloped Jube and herself in a cuts and breaks healing.

"More Shinigami are coming to assisst the situation. Now I have 2 questions; Did I ever prove useful to you in this situation?" Jo-aun took a step closer to Jube," and now can I heal your emotional and spiritual wounds."
Jo-aun was full of mystery as she asked these questions. Hoping that he will agree...

Jube looked over to wards Jo-aun as she woke up and proceeded to heal them both. He wasn't very injured to begin with, but he allowed it. Then he looked away as he heard her questions "Allow me to ask you this...." Jube paused as he turned his gaze on Jo-aun with those piercing hazel eyes of his. "Why are you so interested in what I think of your performance? and why do you continue to insist on helping me?' Jube asked in his usual strong and cold tone. Although this didn't happen very often, this girls sudden interest in him had caught Jube's attention and he was now curious to find out why she was so intent on helping him when he had basically treated her the same way he treated everyone else, keeping them at a distance and being harsh. Yet she insisted on trying to get close to the shinigami, Jube stared at her without saying a word as he waited for her response. A gust of wind broke the silence, as it made the branches move causing the leaves to rustle as they did.

She was now use to Jube's harsh tone. "Almost every mission I go on is a success, but when my feelings got in the way I imagined that the little boy was my nephew. That was how he died too. He sacrificed himself for the squad. Jube... I know how you feel, you remember that one mission with Aria. You were blinded by your hate and rage that you charged without thinking. The man who got a clean hit, that was my father."

A brief sign of shock hurried across Jube's face but it was only there for half a second. "I was only a new shinigami when the insident accured. They would tell me I would make bonds with people I didn't even know because I would be willing to heal a complete stranger even if it ment death," She had tears on her face as she said these words. Then the wind came again.
"So you see, I created a bond without knowing it and now I fell like trying to help anyone who new my father if you can understand."

Jube listened calmly to the girls odd confessions, "Unlikely, the one responsible for what has happened to me was an Arrancar...." then looked away. The shinigami reached for the handle of his zanpaktou, the pressure from his grip made a clicking sound. Jube closed his eyes "But, if an Arrancar is your father. Then you are part hollow and thus an enemy of the Gotei" Jube slowly opened his eyes, his hazel eyes reflected the suns light as he looked up at the cave entrance. "If that is the fact, then I will kill you where you stand....so choose your next words wisely" Jube gave her a cold stare when he finished his threatening sentence.

"My father wasn't part arrancar, He was the 4th person in your mission that aria was in. He was the one sliced in half by the enemy. He was not of any hollow's blade," Jo-aun said trying to sort through the confusion. "I know for sure that I am not at all part hollow. I was born in the soul society."
"Please you have to believe me, because if I was half hollow why haven't I tried to killed you yet? I won't run I'll let you decide," Jo-aun threw her zanpakuto to the side and knelt down. She had her head bowed so if he still thought she was he can behead her.

Jube understood what she meant now, of course he wouldn't admit that he had made a mistake. He put his sword back into its scabbard "The reason why you would not try to kill me, if because you are nowhere near my level" the shinigami closed his eyes as he walked past the kneeling girl. He stopped a few steps later "Stand on your feet, have some self-respect for yourself" he said in his harsh tone as he walked down the dirt path. The shinigami he had called for had already arrived and were entering the cave to get the children out. Jube had no interest in staying and telling what had happened, they could figure it out on there own.
