The Dormant (Kyra)

Shooting down from the sky like a meteor from the heavens crashing into the ocean waters of the beach with gigantic geyser like splash, Vaaz remained upon its floor for a moment. During that trice perceiving the dual rieastu of a Shinigami with Hollow powers like herself, Ai shifted her gaze to where she left Kyra to face the other Arrancar. Her eyes widened in the revelation of it, Kyra is a Vizard as well, but she could see the Hollow taking her over - she is still fresh. Ai stood there in the air watching her for a moment, Keizen could feel it, "Oh god... you want to help her, huh."

Ai looked on watching Kyra with a sympathizing gaze for a brief moment, "I have to..."

"No you don't!", exclaimed Keizen in irritation, "Tell'er, Des'!", the Hollow-self of Ai only replied with a series of seemingly incoherent raspy, ghostly whispers in its chilling, dark tone, which made Ai chuckle and Keizen yell, "What the hell is wrong with you two?!"

Ai snickering, "Two against one, you lose, Keizen. Now shut the hell up, that... Arran--... uh--"

"Arrancar!", Keizen snapped at her.

"Err - right, Arrancar... she isn't down, yet.", commented Ai, as she then looked to the waters where she sent Vaaz down below.

The waters where Vaaz fell thrashed and swirled turning into a massive whirlpool turning like loud roaring rapids gradually opening up to the surface at its core. The whirlpooling waters opened up to floor beneath the waters unveiling Vaaz standing at its center looking up at Ai with those unblinking blood red eyes. With a graceful extension of her right skeleton-like arm she a wailing, screaming, formless soul of the damned hallowed into existence only for it be snuffed out and silenced within the next second as it exploded into blazing fireball flying at horrendous speeds toward Ai.

"What the hell?!", Ai exclaimed seeing the horrid ball of fire Vaaz created, though within the next instant Ai appeared directly behind Vaaz, though spinning around with her great scythe blade as though she expected Vaaz sliced at Ai's chest. Ai's reflexes unconsciously forcing her to react to the strike - she never plans out her moves, suddenly vanished from sight for a blink of an eye but appearing less than a second later using the swinging blade of Vaaz's scythe to rebound off of it to do a standing one-eighty degree twist front flip as she back-slashed her fiery sword of violet light energy at Vaaz's head. Vaaz twisting her left wrist moved the immense length of the staff of the her scythe to block the attack just before she spun around with her crude skeleton right hand raking across Ai's mid-driff with its razor sharp clawed tips. Ai cried out in agony - it felt as if her blood was set on fire beneath her skin.

The very next instant with Ai crippled from the pain, as Vaaz spun around she smacked Ai with the length of her staff sending Ai ripping right through the whirlpooling waters surrounding them, crashing and tumbling on the beach. As Ai rose back up to her feet, Vaaz launching right for Ai as she charged up a Cero - pointing a damning finger at Ai with that vile skeleton hand of hers. Ai herself begun tracing a cirle in the air in front of her, a dark red energy trailed behind the tip of her blade as the circle took shape the red spiritual energy poured into the core of the circle like blood flowing into a chalice. Once completed she switched her sword into an inverted grip and stabbed it into the core of the circle. It exploded into a powerful Cero beam of red energy.

Vaaz at that same time launched her own Cero, but the re-enforced strength of Ai's from the immense increase of her spiritual pressure from her bankai and the dual reiastu granted to her by her Hollow mask - what is ordinarily a mediocre Cero became something a bit more extreme. Ai's Cero plowed right through Vaaz's, it was only able to give her a decent defense as it knocked right into her. In the next instant, Vaaz struggling to get up found Ai right there beside her unleashing another massive wave of illuminating violet light energy by a slash of her sword smashing into Vaaz's being sending her ripping right through the waters crashing further down the beach.

As Vaaz slowly begun to rise to her feet after being thrashed viciously twice in a row within a second, she then saw Ai imbuing immense amounts light energy into her blade. It was only a trice later before Vaaz could think of a counter Ai slashed her fiery energy sword of violet energy across the air in Vaaz's direction, which brought forth an immense wave of violet light energy that roared and thrashed like raging oceanic tidal wave barreling its way right for Vaaz. Her eyes widened in dismay seeing this... in the next moment Ai arched a brow as the massive wave of energy simply rolled onward shattering, smashing and completely destroying the beach homes that were just behind Vaaz. However, Ai realized what happened when she saw the maw of darkness of a Garganta sealing shut.

With Vaaz having retreated from the fight, Ai looked to the direction of where Kyra is fighting - perceiving the spiritual pressure of the Arrancar and Kyra herself. With a blinding swift step she headed for them as fast as she could...

[Shinigami Kyra]

The Inner Hollow now controlling Kyra's body barely had time to react when Nina finally transformed. Her back erupted in a spray of blood from the woman's claws, and her body doubled over by the sheer force of her left arm's strike to her torso. An expelling of blood was to follow as those crimson, pupil-less hues widened fully from the force of impact. From the strike alone, several cracks sounded, obvious that various ribs had shattered from the strike. The amount of blood that exploded from her lips were evidence enough that the blow was indeed powerful enough to knock even a newly transformed Vizard off their feet. Still, this woman was not a newly transformed Vizard... she was slowly becoming hollowfied. And as such, there was less consciousness of her own body's injuries. Those wide hues, and that voice would all but leave as a far more sinister aura encircled her, her Inner Hollow now losing its own ability to comprehend reality as its more animal instincts kicked in.

Kyra's body began to morph further, hollifying even moreso as her body was thrown from the blow delivered by the Arrancar. More armor began to solidify around her body, almost instantaneously healing the countless shattered ribs she had received from the blow mere moments ago! Her hair launched outward, several countless strands gathering together and shooting far beyond her normal hair's length, piercing the ground and forcing her to a sudden halt in her flight path. The mask that fully materialized over her face and began to form around her head fully parted its lips as a demonic cry escaped her mouth. Kyra's flirtatious Inner Hollow had now succumbed fully to its more animal instincts, and the more she remained in this form, the more of a hollow-like appearance she began to hold.

Kyra's body flipped over, those long strands of crimson piercing into the ground and holding her several hundred meters up, her body becoming encased almost halfway in a dark gray hollow-like armor. It was obvious that Kyra herself was losing the battle within her mind. Those eyes glared toward the hasty moving Espada, breathing slowly as she let out another sudden scream. A sudden expulsion of reiatsu was forced out in all directions, cobalt blue fire nearly exploding all around her, those twin Zanpakuto still ever present and remaining their defensive spiraling around her body.

Her hands launched out and grasped firm hold of the hilts of both her blades, the telekinesis lock she had soon diminishing. The hollow-mind filled Shinigami, who's body began to appear more and more like a hollow the longer the battle dragged on, how held those fiery blades within her grasp. With her mouth parting again, she let out another demonic cry, this one seeming to shatter the windows of several buildings within the vicinity, obviously letting out some sort of war cry.

However, a spark of red energy began to spark at the base of her mouth, and a sphere of energy formed soon after. Before even a blink of an eye, that crimson energy was surrounded in blue, and a powerful Cero was suddenly unleashed, aiming straight for the third Espada!

Nina balked at the sudden rapid healing of the quickly hollowfying Vizard. The beasts strength was getting higher and higher, and more stable. She cursed under her breath and extended the claws on both of her hands, her tail suddenly jetting down to the earth and anchoring her in place, much like her adversary.

Holding her two clawed hands in front of her body, she quickly snapped them shut, the squelching sound of flesh being penetrated ringing through the air.

Slowly and deliberately, watching her targets cero roar towards her, she maneuvered one wrist over the other, so that the fingers were touching, and splayed out her hands. Quickly she opened the "clam" that was her two hands, clawing the fingers.

From each finger a pin prick of violet reitsu grew, the glow of Kyra's cero fast approcahing the Tercera. The violet balls of negative energy grew into several smaller cero's, which coalesced into one massive ball of energy.

"Reina Cero." (Queen Cero)

The violet blast of energy ripped through the sky, completely engulfing Kyra's attack, before arcing into the ground below. The violet energy ripped apart the ground, and created a large tornado below her opponent, which suddenly blew apart in a massive explosion that turned the sand below to glass, and flash vaporized the water.

Unable to see through the smoke cloud, Nina mocked the girl she thought had been killed by her attack.

"That's my own brand of Gran Rey bitch. Not as accurate or quick to fire, but it packs a helluva lot more punch!"

With Vaaz having retreated, Ai was now free to lend what aid she could Kyra as she is now suffering under the effects of the Hollowification attempting to consume her. Ai's mask still remained, but one third of the mask covering the area around her left eye by this point had eroded and crumbled off her face. But the mask left its corrupting mark upon her Bankai's form, turning her into a feminine silhouette of darknes, and the reiastu wings she once had on her upper-back now are nothing but long black ghostly tendrils. Though an idle left hand rest upon the vicious claw marks she received from Vaaz's skeleton-like like hand across her mid-section.

Dragging that violet blade of fiery light energy through the air as she headed straight to where Kyra and the other Arrancar is, luminescent violet light energy imbued into the blade as she focused her reiastu into it. The second she arrived at the scene Ai wasted not a moment on unleashing the large amount of reiastu she had gathered on her way their, releasing it as a great wave of illuminating violet light energy directed at Nina as an attempted sudden ambush. Ignoring if it hit or not in a flash of speed Ai faded into view to Nina's right slicing into the air. Releasing from the blade as it cut into the air was crescent moon shaped blade of cyan light. With another swift movement blurring back into solid form, Ai appeared to Nina's front doing the same attack in attempt for good measure - the crescent moon blade of cyan light launching directly for her.

Standing there in the air, Ai flipped her blade into an inverted grip only switching her blade from her right hand to her left, "You're very fast...", she remarked with those three voices of hers speaking in perfect unison, while her dual reiastu built to greater heights as she stood there in the air. Her eyes then squinted a little showing she suddenly grew a smile behind that mask. Abruptly she shimmered from sight out of blinding speed, for what was coming from behind her was an attack from Kyra, Ai was merely moving out of the way. It was a stratagem - she was not building up her reiastu to attack but instead provide cover for the attack she perceived Kyra was summoning to unleash. It was an old veterans trick.

At present Ai knew she could not direct or subdue Kyra at a time like this while facing this Arrancar, so if anything she could offset the Arrancar while Kyra attacked Nina at full fury while her Inner Hollow had control of her.

The blast had struck home. During that internal conflict, the Hollow had hesitated moments before the blast completely engulfed her body. The immense heat began to burn her flesh as a horrific cry escaped the mouth of that hollowfied mask that now seemed fully grafted to her face. Smoke immediately overtook the scene, with the spot Kyra had been in placed at its center.

Silence seemed to envelop for only a moment before Ai's attack was delivered. Still, within the smoky clouds, no movement seemed to have been made. When the clouds did finally begin to fade, a large blue box seemed to be newly created. Within, knelt a heavily damaged, and heavily bleeding Kyra, gasping for air and one hand pressed against the ground where she had summoned the Bakudo.

In that fraction of a second that her Inner Hollow had started to hesitate, Kyra was able to briefly take over in order to save both their asses. Despite some of the attack hitting before she could complete the spell, she had been saved from losing her life completely... however...

"Gah!" Immediately, the barrier shattered as Kyra's eyes widened and nearly bulged out of her head. "B...b... bitch..."

That Inner Hollow... she seemed far more intelligent than her antics brought on. Knowing that she didn't have the time to get out of the way of the attack, she had allowed Kyra's own mentality to take the brunt of the wave, while allowing the woman's knowledge of Kido to aid in saving both their asses. Still, now that the attack had dissipated, it seemed with Kyra even more unable to fight against the Inner Hollow, that dark force found it far more easier to take control... and again, her skin began to reform itself; liquefying into a hard casing of hierro at a far faster rate. That mask began to materialize fully as that mouth parted and an animalistic scream was launched out. Her arms went out to her side as she built up an incredible amount of reiatsu, and launched herself skyward, toward the closest target, which just so happened to be the Arrancar she had been facing all along.

Those twin blades were summoned from wherever they had fallen, and with a crossing of her arms, a powerful spiraling blue flamed reiatsu surrounded her body. With another animalistic cry, a blast of fiery energy shot outward; Kyra's normal Sōren Kouenno Sōkatsui seeming to be far amplified by her hollow's own energy.

Ai watched the immense azure blast of fire fly by that she narrowly timed her dodge to evade the hit before it could strike her and catch the Arrancar by surprise. The fires illuminated the sunset night sky a brilliant blue hue almost mimicking daylight for only but a trice. Ai waited to see the incinerated body of the Arrancar fall from the sky, but there was nothing. When the grand explosion dwindled away, Ai's eyes narrowed seeing the closing lips of a Garganta's abyssal maw sealing itself in the sky.

The third of her mask covering her right eye crumbled away just as the left had - the mask now only covering the lower half of her face. She turned to Kyra still wild and under her Inner Hollow's possession, within the blink of an eye Ai faded from sight and blurred back into view in front of Kyra, "Now... what to do with you...", she uttered with those three voices speaking in unison as she looked Kyra up and down seeing her badly wounded, while Ai herself had her own wounds from her battle as well...

It was some time later that night, Ai fatigued herself but not nearly as much as Kyra having fought a much tougher and harsher battle than Ai had, shouldering her weight Ai carried her into a peculiar abandoned warehouse... A few hours later seeing Kyra open her eyes from slumber while being laid down in a comfortable spot on top of a large box serving as a makeshift bed, Ai approached her looking closer at Kyra like a nurse examining a patient, "You should go back to sleep... we'll talk in the morning...", Ai said softly, letting Kyra go back to sleep...
