Personality:

Physically imposing, Komamura is a gentle giant, as well as a loyal and grateful subordinate. His deep gratitude to Yamamoto for taking him in overrides all his own feelings, and for Yamamoto, he will do anything, even die. Komamura is a serious man, deeply scarred by the times he was spurned by society for his appearance, yet undyingly loyal to the values he holds. Like Ukitake and Unohana, he is not tough or cruel with his division, preferring to lead with impartiality. An Omake shows him being pleased with the gift of a dog brush from the human world, as he finds the brushes in Seireitei ineffective at brushing his fur. He has also noted that he would possibly use a dog gigai if he were to go undercover in the human world. Not contradicting his appearance, his favorite food is meat, but he dislikes carrots, supposedly because his father once told him that carrots are "not for their kind." It is neither a surprise that he likes dogs, especially ones of mixed breed, and even keeps one, Goro, in the division quarters. In his free time, he takes Goro for strolls.The betrayal and subsequent departure of his close friend, Kaname Tosen, may have adversely affected his self-confidence and view of himself, since Tosen was the first person to have accepted him for who he is, and not what he is. This adverse affect is shown when he describes himself to the Choe Neng Poww as "a mere worm of a man," though he may have been speaking in sarcasm, as Poww previously referred to his opponents as worms.When he fights he is cold, ruthless, and calculating. Once the battle is over, he reverts back to his gentle giant self.

Appearance:

Komamura is an unusual character in that he is an anthropomorphic canine. He was initially very self-conscious about his appearance, and wears gloves with bracers, that combined with his helmet, conceal his entire body. After his fight with Kenpachi Zaraki (during which his helmet was destroyed) in the midst of the invasion of Soul Society, he gained enough confidence to go without the helmet. His fur is a light brown colour that matches the colour of his gloves. He also wears shoulder pads on top of his haori, large plated boots rather than sandals, and up until his fight with Aizen appeared to also wear some form of chest armour, but hasn't replaced it since Aizen broke it with the Black Coffin spell.

Sealed Zanpakuto:

Tenken(Heavenly Sword)it takes the form of a normal katana. The crossguard is a rectangle decorated with a pattern of vertical lines, with the long sides pinched in to the middle, so the whole thing looks like a squared-off hourglass.

Shikai Abilities:

In its Shikai, Tenken creates various body parts of a fearsome armored giant to copy whatever body part Komamura moves; for example, should Komamura swing his sword, a gigantic disembodied arm wielding a sword appears and does the same thing. The body's gigantic parts generated by the Initial Release possess strength and attacking power proportionate to their size (though not as great as it could be due to not having a full body), making Komamura's Zanpakuto quite powerful.

Bankai Description:

Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō maintains its form as a regular katana. While in use, Komamura and his katana maintain a glow of spiritual energy.

Bankai Abilities:

Kokujo Tengen Myo (Heavenly Punishment of Kokujo's King) maintains its form as a regular katana. While in use, Sajin and his katana maintain a glow of spiritual energy.
His Bankai brings forth the entire giant, which is about a hundred meters tall. It is a giant samurai that copies the movements of Sajin, with a devastating effect allowing it deal out colossal and massive amounts of damage. Its strength is far that in excess to Sajin's as it is more proportional to its size.It is strong enough to take an Arrancar's Cero point blank without being damaged and even smother him with its bare hands.

History/Background:

While practicing once in an open grassy area, Tosen chances upon someone, and because he is blind, had no idea where the person was. It was only when Komamura spoke that he realized he had talked in the wrong direction. Complimenting Komamura’s ability to hide his presence so well, Tousen said that he had never been able to not feel someone’s presence before, even though his eyes cannot see. Komamura was highly touched, for this was among the first times that he was not looked upon as an outcast.It is unknown where Sajin originated though Head-Captain Yamamoto gave him the opportunity to join the Gotei 13, even if he was not human.Later they meet time and again during their time in the Gotei 13 Squads, and Aizen is also introduced to Komamura via Tosen’s recommendation.

RP Sample:

Sajin had just arrived at Karakura Town because some Arrancars had invaded it and he and other captains along with some squad members were ordered to defend it. Sajin despised arrancars for they do what there mind twisting leader tells them. Sajin hated Aizen for what he did to Tosen, he twisted his thinking of justice and made him think that his path was the one with the less bloodshed.Sajin then felt a spiritual presence coming towards him he knew that it was a shinigami, and it was very strong and had to be at least a captain. Sajin turned around to see who it was, as he saw who it was he was bewildered. It was Kaname Tosen, his best friend that had betrayed the soul society.

As soon as Sajin saw him he flashed back to the moment he met Tosen. He then stared at Tosen as he came back to the real world. It has been a long time since he had seen Tosen.

“Why have you come here Tosen you have betrayed the Soul Society and you have betrayed me” Sajin said with his hand on his sword. “ Your Soul Society is only bringing more bloodshed I’m going to have to ask you to take your shinigami and leave “ Tosen responded.” You are causing the bloodshed we are trying to keep you from causing more, and I will not leave I will have to take you back to the soul society for your trial “ Sajin tried to get Tosen to come willingly but he knew it would not work.” I will have to fight you if you do not leave Sajin “ Tosen said threateningly.” I am sorry my old friend you do not comply with the soul society therefore I must take you by force “ Sajin then drew his sword feeling very sad because he has to fight his best friend. Tosen also drew his sword and raised it ready to fight. Sajin was very reluctant to fight Tosen but made himself not show any sign of not wanting to fight him. Sajin took the initiative to start the fight. He rushed Tosen and slammed his sword down on Tosen with great strength.

Tosen retaliated by shampooing to the side and slashed at Sajin vertically. Sajin couldn’t seem to believe that this was really happening it seemed like yesterday that he was protecting Tosen from Kenpachi. Sajin blocked the attack with ease and while there blades were locked he slashed with great force sending Tosen flying backwards. As he flew back Tosen spoke two words from his mouth” Cry Suzumushi “ as he said this a very high pitched tone was emitted out of his sword. Sajin knew this technique but was unprepared for it and was starting to fall unconscious but he was able to release his zanpakuto and say” Roar.......Tenken “ He immediately slapped thin air. A giant arm covered in armor did the same thing and flew out to hit Tosen. Tosen had to interrupt his attack and move out of the way he then said “ Sajin leave I do not wish to harm you any more".Sajin replied” I will not allow you to kill these innocent people for Aizens evil purposes and I will show you true justice......."Sajin stumbled up to his feet trying to regain his wits.

Sajin then knew the next attack Tosen would perform. Tosen then jumped into the sky, raised his sword, and said” Smash His Limbs Suzumushi".His sword then changed Suzumushi into its Benihiko form. Suzumushi vibrates momentarily and, after Tôsen moves the blade around him in a circle, a trail appears from the sword's path. The trail turns into hundreds of blades and it rained down on Sajin. Sajin the gets his arms to cover him and the giant arms do the same and block most of the swords flying towards Sajin. Two of the swords get through his shield and pierce Sajins right shoulder and the left side of his abdomen. The pain caused by the attack was not so great as to make Sajin faint but it was painful. Sajin coughed up blood and thought” I mustn’t let him kill me I must fight back and defeat him I will not die knowing that Tosen will help destroy the world “ Sajin then stood up and glared at Tosen.

The moonlight flashed in Tosens clear visor. Sajin then said “ Bankai..........."A giant Samurai with a gigantic sword to match appears behind Sajin. “Kokujo Tengen Myoo “ Sajin said, loudly proclaiming his Zanpakutos Bankai form. Tosen saw that Sajin was getting serious and decided that he must release his zanpakuto in order to survive. Tosen then said “ Bankai Enma Korogi “ Tosen holds up his sword in his right hand, and places his left palm against the ring on his cross guard. The ring begins to spin as it releases spiritual energy the faster it spins the circle then grows bigger and bigger till its the same height as Tôsen. The ring then splits into 9 large glowing rings that encircle around Tosen. With a slash of his sword the circles go flying to various corners forming a circle perimeter of a large area.

Once in position they begin to generate a black void which grows in size till it creates a large, black dome centered at Tôsen's location and anchored to the ground with 9 rings. Sajin slowly starts losing his senses he knew this was coming but he had an idea. Sajin started swinging his sword as he started to go blind. The giant samurai was doing the same thing but Sajin couldn’t tell he had lost all of his senses besides touch already. Sajin knew that Tosen thinks that this is the end of the fight but it is just beginning. He stopped swinging his sword and waited until Tosen would attack him. Tosen then sees that Sajin lost all of his senses but he is still unsure to attack Sajin yet due to his bankai.

“ If he decides to swing while I’m close enough I will not be able to dodge it due to the size of his bankai ". Tosen then shunpo’ed as fast as he could and when he reached Sajin he stabbed at Sajin.Sajin then thought to himself "Tosen I wish that I didn’t have to do this “ Sajin felt the vibrations of Tosen as he shunpo’ed towards him. That’s the reason he didn’t move so he could concentrate. Sajin then punched Tosen it sent him flying. After seeing the punch connected he knew the general area Tosen would land he than slammed his hand down to make the giant do it. His hand slammed down on Tosen it crushed him, but Sajin made sure that it wouldn’t kill him.

After this attack Tosens bankai disappeared. Sajin regained his senses and resealed his zanpakuto and sheathed it. He walked over to Tosen and saw him and said” I wish that I didn’t have to do that but........"Sajin stuttered due to his own injuries “ You betrayed me and the Soul Society"."You will never understand Sajin but I hope that Aizen-same succeeds and then you will see why the road I took lessened the bloodshed” after Tosen said that he passed away. Sajin felt sad. He couldn’t believe that even after he had died he used his last words to help Aizen. Sajin shed a tear and wished that this never happened and said” Rest my friend and I will live on your dream for least bloodshed but I will not help Aizen".Sajin grabbed Tosens dead corpse and brought him to where Tosens friend died and said” I could not keep my oath I am sorry and may he rest with you eternally “ Sajin then buried Tosen and left him.
