She's a humble woman with little egotistical motives towards anything, but her personality itself can be enigmatic as it varies wildly, chaotically, from shy, and reserved to humorous, to potentially lewd.Appearance:
It depends greatly on her own mood, and the mood of the environment that dictates how she acts, but her humble nature almost always shines through as she doesn't care if she's better than anyone.
She's well read, and carries with her an often dry wit where ever she goes, but her outward intelligence varies from mood to mood.
Yumeji is dedicated to any task given to her provided her morale is up. Even lacking zeal though she can almost always dredge through any activity, luckily.
She is not arrogant, and prefers not to fight at all if she can help it, and even dislikes training in competition (Never mind competition in general) which can get her marked as lazy.
In all, she has no desire to prove anything to anyone, and this caused trouble in the past, and may well haunt her into the present, and future.
In terms of swordsmanship she is often called a prodigy in her style, but it isn't the entire truth.
She trains a great deal with her spirit, and often makes contact in the back of her mind to do so when she isn't meditating, and wholly focused on the task. These training sessions have lead people to think Yumeji simply zones out with a million mile stare at times
Luckily she can multitask mentally, and do physical activities while she trains in the spirit realm, though she does neither as well as if she were dedicated.
Of course, she does have a strong natural talent towards swordsmanship, but most of it is focused on the art of attacking while drawing the blade (She calls this Iaido even if it's not correct) which has made her a genuine master of the art.
She has also trained herself in a defensive art that has her wielding her scabbard as a second weapon as well, and she is above average in it, but it's not a focus, and not her preferred style.
Her reflexes, and coordination, especially in her hands, are exceptionally potent allowing her do a half dozen Iai slashes in a half second without error which includes the sheathing of her weapon between slashes.
As an interesting side note, she's double jointed where her thumb meets her palm, and can rapidly flex, and open her fingers loosely while moving her thumb in the spaces between her fingers in sequence, or at random.
Her fighting style demands that she focus in speed, agility, and reflexes more than brawn, and this is supplemented with Kido, and Reiatsu as much as she can manage, and with this she has become very fast in combat.
Her mind is strange in that she has no surface thoughts at all.
At best, anyone capable of reading minds can see her training in the spiritual realm when she is, but there are no other thoughts in her head unless she forces them to the surface meaning that mot of the time it's a void where most people would have a lot of thoughts.
Despite this state of mind, some say "perpetually stoned", she is a functional person. Chaotic, but functional.
She has a hobby of wig making, and wig wearing, and make up, and does this to alter her appearance quite a lot in her free time, and when allowed on duty. It's usually not allowed on duty, so she has a steady appearance as described below.
These disguises vary from simple dye jobs to full face makeup, and wig, and near transformation of appearance.
She can work quickly using her resources to alter her appearances, and sometimes can confuse people into thinking she's someone else, but as this is done through rather mundane manners she requires her makeup/disguise kit to change appearances.
When away from her kit, she can carry masks with her that resemble Noh masks to alter her facial appearances as masks oft do.
It's possible that in a lot of her previous lives she changed appearance of body, or was an actress that had her wear costumes a great deal, and her DNA memory carries this with her, but it cannot be verified by her as she doesn't remember any of her lives.
If she has the chance to, she'll have a closet full of Gigai of all shapes sizes, and even species so she can experience the world in various bodies.
Some say that her chaotic personality is related to these facets of her personality.
And yes, she's a lesbian.
As far as being a lesbian goes, she often has lecherous intentions towards women she finds attractive, but never acts on them, never mind speaks of them, without permission which often causes her to never act on them at all as she never really asks a person about their orientation due to the minority of lesbians, and any taboos that might be around against lesbianism.
Her ego does peak in this area as she figures that any woman that beds with her will never regret it. Why? She won't say as she's rather modest in her willingness to speak at length of sex... most of the time.
All in all, she is eccentric, and chaotic.
If told she is chaotic, she may, at times, deem herself the "Hero of Chaos" after a great Chinese leader.
Appearance: More often than not, Yumeji appears as a woman standing 5'4", weighing 125 lb. or so, and is fairly well built, and has a respectable bosom. A soft pair of DDs.Zanpakuto Spirit:
She may have bosom bound a bit in a sarashi (Chest wrappings) to keep them out of the way when she does stuff.
Yumeji has extremely long hair she often wears in a whip like ponytail that reaches well past her waist.
She has fair skin, and brown eyes that almost always have a look of defiance in them when she isn't zoned out.
Much to her delight, she is slim, and seems to stay that way regardless of her diet.
She gravitates heavily towards long, baggy sleeved kimono, and hakama who's cuffs will drag on the ground behind her as she walks with the typical tabi of the Shinigami, and she will often wear fingerless gloves that are attached to kote (Samurai's Armored sleeves) that further obscure her skin from view more than her sleeves do.
Frankly, she hates to show off any more skin than she absolutely must.
She almost always has something in her hand, be it a well made reinforced parasol (careful, she'll hit people with it if provoked!) that she uses to protect herself from rain, sun, or falling flower petals.
At times she'll have a shawl with her that's long, simple, and functional.
She also enjoys carrying a pack on her back that will carry masks, or her makeup/disguise kit.
If pressed, or simply in the mood, she'll carry her zanpakuto in hand.
This isn't the end all be all list of things she'll have in her hands, or on her person aside from the norm, but it's a reliable list.
When the mood strikes her, and she feels she won't be hassled over it, she'll wear heels of assorted heights, wigs, masks, makeup, or more to make her appearance almost completely different from her typical appearance.
Her name is Tsubame.Sealed Zanpakuto:
The Zanpakuto's spirit is a humble, free spirited, buxom (D size breasts) human appearing woman with raven hair that is long with bangs that go down to cover her eyebrows with a red ribbon in her hair.
She dresses in a white kimono with red trim, and edging, short puffy sleeves that terminate just before the halfway point of the biceps.
She wears fingerless gauntlet style gloves that match her kimono, and terminate halfway up the forearms in a loose cuff. She wears pants that also match the rest of her clothes being white with red trim that hangs lose on her legs not flattering them at all.
She wears simple red dyed shoes to top it all off.
In terms of personality, her spirit is intelligent in the arts of combat, but remains as humble as the person that she's connected to.
The similar personalities have caused the spirit, and the partner to merge on some levels to the point that they are almost one. It's only the desire to never be lonely that keeps them as separate entities.
Unusual among spirits, and their partners they share a loose, but romantic relationship, and have even been intimate with each other in the inner realm, but jealousy is unlikely.
Further, due to the spirit's keen fighting ability they often spend time training with each other which helps explain the intense sword skill Yumeji has.
As close as they are, her spirit can "project" into Yumeji's sight and appear as a real person, but cannot interact with anyone, or anything else but Yumeji.
The Inner realm is centered around a large thatched hut with rice mats on most of the floor short of an area in the hut that serves as a dojo where she trains her partner. Said section has a hardwood floor.
Sealed Zanpakuto: Her Sealed Zanpakuto is unique as far as she is concerned in that the blade is quality made, and able to telescope between 1 inch, and 5ft long allowing her to use her Iai style with a back mounted, side mounted, waist mounted, or in the traditional side mount and allow her to simulate multiple types of blade, usually a Tanto, wakizashi, Ninja-to, Katana, nodachi, or odachi.Shikai Description:
The scabbard of the blade is seemingly enchanted to allow her to "stick" it to her person however she intends to use her Iai style, and it's size adjusts automatically with the sword due the bond between sword and scabbard.
Regardless of size neither seem to get heavier, or lighter to her.
Her scabbard is extremely durable to stand up to Iai style wear and tear and can be used to block, and parry attacks as her Iai style fighting tends to demand her sword remain in it's scabbard.
Though she's not extremely proficient at it, she can use the scabbard as a baton in a quasi 2 sword style though the scabbard doesn't change in any way cept in length as the sword does, so it's not a proper weapon.
Further the sword can be left in scabbard in a fight to bludgeon a person into submission in a conventional sword style.
Design wise, the sword almost looks Shirasaya in nature as it has a simple wood grain scabbard, and wood grain handle, both covered in lacquer. Capping all ends are gold fittings giving her sword a walking stick appearance. The guard is almost non existent, and is also gold in color with no designs on it.
There are no designs on her sword as a whole short of a blood groove that runs the length of her blade.
This, perhaps reflects her humble nature, but it certainly, in no way helps reflect her eccentricities, or perhaps it does in that it is different from most person's zanpakuto.
Shikai Description: Release command "Scream, cry, then Die"Shikai Abilities:
Her sword doesn't seem to change at all as she enters the next stage of ability, and like it's lesser form, it can change into various lengths. In this way, she can, theoretically, walk around in Shikai all day long, and no one would notice save her spiritual pressure growth.
Yumeji becomes faster as she's able to invest more energy into her movements, and can attack with greater brawn, but she is still physically weak in her attacks, relying more on speed, and dexterity to help her win.Bankai Description:
Swallow Tail cannon: Reiatsu is charged in the sheathe, and blade of her Zanpakuto, then launched, ideally in an Iai draw, however the blasts can be launched faster, but significantly weaker from the unsheathed blade (Both sheathed, and unsheathed launchings are crescent shaped like a swallow's tail of varying lengths) , or from the throat of the scabbard in a similar manner to cero beam that can be spread out, or concentrated.
The coloration is a lightning blue regardless of utilization, and isn't much stronger than an average energy based assault of someone of her power tier that lacks bankai.
She can launch these attacks in rapid fire, but her energy supply can be depleted if she overdoes it.
At times she might shout an attack name that has nothing to do with the attack cept to make it seem flashier.
I.E. "SOU EN ZAN!" Or "ZAN KU SEN!" Or "ZAN DAN KEN!"
Mistress Iai Cut: Like in many videogames, and theatric showings of swordsmanship, Yumeji's assaults can appear harmless even if they contact, then suddenly cause cuts on a person after the attack.
This is done by reiatsu creating a new edge on her sword which effectively dulls it in favor of leaving energy marks on what ever the blade contacts. These marks create energy blade that slice at least one inch into virtually anything they are on by themselves, however if a sufficiently large mark can be placed on a target the ends of the marks anchor themselves down, then pull the mark tight creating deeper cuts, and possibly slicing a target in half. However, due to the difficulty of painting a target in such a manner it's rarely used in combat.
If successful, the attacks cause painful cuts, or they saw at any target they can't outright cut through creating a cramping, sawing pain in that location.
Regardless of size, the marks don't restrain the target in any manner, nor do they offer any indication of being on the target.
In Shikai form this can only reach 13 marks before she can't concentrate on more, and the energy that ties her to the power runs thin and she must use them some how or lose the ability to make more.
These can be on multiple targets at one time, but the more targets that are marked the more their damage is spread out among them.
While this ability can be used to cause delayed cuts lulling an opponent into a false sense of security (And thus risking making the fight longer), or used instantly to deliver cuts as a sword normally would, the delayed cuts do not have to be used, and the sword can be used as a blunted weapon to subdue a person with the marks being dispelled at a later time, harmlessly.
The main weakness of this ability is that it can cause a fight to last longer, and it requires concentration to keep the marks on a person.
Swallow's buffet: With an Iai draw that thunders as it breaks the sound barrier she leaves a trail of broad energy ribbon behind that delivers an intense concussive force that can cause damage to anyone hit with it, however, this maneuver, while intensely fast is not intended for close range combat. It's true power is that the energy ribbon repels oncoming attacks, including energy attacks, and sometimes can bounce an attack back at the user with matching force.
The ability to redirect attacks varies depending on the manner of projectile. Disconnected assaults like Bala, or a bullet can be redirected almost freely. Beams can only be redirected away from her momentarily. Lightning style attacks can be shot back as wildly as they come, or redirected away from her. Swarm assaults like Senbonzakura are pushed away from her violently. The ribbon shields her against explosive shots. Other results may vary depending on the nature of projectile.
Projectiles from a person of a higher power tier are much harder to deal with, and they have varying results ranging from knocking her off balance to ignoring the maneuver completely, and hit her anyhow.
Bankai Description: Summoned with the simple verse, "Punching your ticket to hell"Bankai Abilities:
Her sword doesn't seem to change at all even as she enters Bankai (Perhaps reflecting her humble, and some say Lazy nature), and like it's lesser forms, it can change into various lengths ranging form tanto to Nodachi, and odachi. In this way, she can, theoretically, walk around in Bankai all day long, and no one would notice save her spiritual pressure growth.
Bankai Abilities:Skill Level: Kidou: Intermediate
Shrike's Roar: An improved version of her Swallow Tail Cannon, it's power raises greatly as if the Swallow Tail cannon were only using 20 percent of her power. Each assault comes with a deafening roar along with the devastating blast.
Mistress' Paint Brush: An improved version of her Mistress' Iai cut, the tip of her blade now has a 3ft energy whip at the end that cannot be seen, nor felt, but it marks what ever it touches for cutting as well as the energy edged blade. These marks can now explode in dazzlingly bright blasts while they cut causing far more intense wounds.
The need for concentration, and the energy that ties her to the marks are both greatly improved allowing her up to 1,000 cuts before she must use the marks, or dismiss them to make more.
These can be on multiple targets at one time, but the more targets that are marked the more their damage is spread out among them.
The intensity that these marks cut are improved on a similar scale as her Shrike's roar compared to the Swallow Tail Cannon.
Swallow Wing Shield: An upgraded version of her Swallow wing buffet it creates a pocket of compressed space that can catch energy for later redirection in a whipping motion, or an Iai draw. Any absorbed energy can be stored indefinitely as long as she can maintain Bankai.
Bullet style projectiles can be absorbed entirely or bounced back, the fronts of beam attacks are ripped from the beam like the end of a rope of taffy with more of the beam being redirected, Explosives can be contained, swarm style attacks have chunks taken out of them. As stated before, other attack styles might have varying results.
Much like her less evolved version, attacks from a higher tier can blow through this maneuver, but are harder pressed to do so as the power of this ability is higher than the less evolved form.
Bankai Special Ability:
Slice to kill: Summoned by saying "All creatures will die. All things will be broken." she readies for an Iai slice attack, and at the same time builds energy in her scabbard, and blade, and at the soles of her feet. When unleashed, she becomes, possibly, one of the fastest things known on Earth, the Soul Society, Hell, and Hueco Mundo as she unleashes a straight forward attack at her target that appears to be a simple charge, and cut.
When viewed in detail she launches at the target in a hellish charge, Iai slices at them, doubles back dragging her blade behind her, then back again until she's sliced at the target 13 times leaving marks behind with each slash, even if it's on thin air.
To the uninitiated, or those unable to track her high speed movements, it appears as a single, blurry slash, or she vanishes all together.
She appears farther along her path after the slashes, then slams her partly sheathed sword into the scabbard, then the marked target(s) are dealt grievous wounds (hopefully) by the marks as they explode, and slice in a maneuver of extreme bloodiness, and violence.
This maneuver is extremely linear in nature, and thus can be dodged if a person moves out of her path sufficiently, however the marking whip at the tip of her sword is now 6ft long, and she can adjust the trajectories of each slashing attack to cover a 10ft by 10ft area to make it more difficult to dodge as if her speed itself didn't create enough trouble in dodging.
If aimed for multiple targets she can stretch the marking area out for 100 meters, but the attack suffers due to spread out damage over an area.
Like her markings, this maneuver is not restricted to one target, but the damage is spread out more if she uses it on more than one target.
Luckily when charging this ability she needs not be immobile, and can actually run, jump, and dodge.

All her life she had an "imaginary friend" that she insisted was real, and at times would shun other people in favor of her friend.RP Sample:
This lead her to be called crazy all her young life, and it bothered her a lot, and some say -did- drive her crazy, and this severely hampered her ability to keep friends.
Her mother tried to understand, and her father simply tried to ignore this, though he was awful proud when his daughter started swinging a stick as if her "imaginary friend" gave lessons in swordsmanship. Perhaps his own mind went a little insane as he denied that this was any talent, rather imitation of swordsmanship. He didn't know who she saw using the sword, and he didn't care.
He did not know how close to the truth he was. His daughter was indeed being taught the basics of kendo.
It wasn't until she were around the age that people join the Shinigami academy that a passing Shinigami had to take more than one look at the young girl performing swordsmanship talents well beyond her years, and moved with astounding speed all the while. This unnamed Shinigami watched her with dropped jaw, then finally decided to vouch the girl's way into the academy despite protests from everyone that knew her who called her crazy. Even her parents hinted that the girl just wasn't right in the head with an imaginary friend, and being a tad crazy.
The Shinigami wouldn't hear of it, and insisted, and eventually the young girl with her stick was taken off to the academy.
Wide eyed, and overwhelmed by the new world around her the girl withdrew even further from people, and only did her lessons as best she could.
She found that she were abysmal at math, and nearly failed it on more than one occasion, but she blew minds when she entered the combat classes where she quickly found a niche in what she dubbed Iaido, even though her teachers were hard pressed to place her style as Iaido as she had adopted styles of both "ninja" and "samurai" in the art of attacking during a draw using the scabbard to create more velocity in the strike, and thus simulate physical brawn she mostly lacked.
They were also hard pressed to find her a proper teacher, yet almost cried at the madness (Some with pride, some with frustration) as she continued to advance radically in her own style of Iaido with only moderate conventional training.
She caused more confusion as her Zanpakuto manifested, and changed lengths at her whim.
Finally, after nearly being driven crazy over this oddball little girl, they sent her to 12th division's research where she were studied.
They quickly deduced what was going on, and berated the instructors for wasting their time on a girl who had been life long friends with her Zanpakuto spirit, and had been taking lessons all her life from the same spirit. They found it interesting, but not worth their time to look into.
The teachers were "punked" and never lived it down, even to this day.
Even as they apologized, the damage was done. The girl withdrew more from people, and never gained much of any ego as she were rarely praised at anything.
Her friendships never blossomed long, and she decided she needed a hobby. After "feeling around" the realm of hobby, she enjoyed Model making (Especially the glueless snap together models), and found an aptitude in mask making, and makeup/disguise.
Unfortunately the latter ended up getting her into more trouble as she spread chaos by altering the way she looked enough to not be readily recognized.
Despite her talents, no one praised her.
By the time she graduated, she was nearly booted out with her diploma to get her out of their hair.
And she still was only rarely praised.
The lack of praise caused her ego to not grow much. She never gained much ambition, as her hobbies were only that.
When she entered the world as a full fledged Shinigami she had no idea what squad she wanted to join.
She was lost all over. She bounced from squad to squad until a captain decided to take in the lost woman on a more permanent basis.
All the while her aptitudes grew taught to her by her spirit, and practiced from what she learned in school, but almost exclusively in private, in her own little world when she could.
She steadily got better until she reached the point she is at today.
Yumeji walked along the walkways of the Seireitei with her shawl loosely on her shoulders, and her parasol over her shoulder, closed. Her foot falls could be heard by anyone 20ft away or closer as she dragged her feet along carelessly.
A Shinigami stopped his walk to protest, but was greeted by the million mile stare of Yumeji, and he nearly crapped himself as her eyes seemed to dominate his view of her, and well, she looked almost ghostly, and dead.
They stared at each other a while, though in reality Yumeji had only stopped, and was aware of his presence without the intent of staring at him. In her mind, she trained and called "Carriage!" which paused her training long enough to deal with the obstruction. In her spirit world her training partner called "Carriage!" in acknowledgment, and ceased training.
He eventually got over being freaked out, then stepped aside to let a woman he'd consider zombie like to noisily shuffle by.
"Game on!" she cried in her inner world, and her zanpakuto's spirit repeated the words with zeal, and they began to train once more.
Yumeji continued on her way, and spun the bamboo shaft of her parasol now and then idly as she walked, her mind divided between watching where she were going with her trance like gaze and training.
She felt her mouth water. She smelled food! Good food!
Her head swiveled on a somewhat limp neck, and transfixed her gaze on the source of the scent like a zombie after flesh... which managed to freak out a pair of people who were leaving at that moment.
They hurried on by as she walked in as she closed her parasol then stuffed it into something of a rapier frog that she used to carry it.
Yumeji walked up to the counter where she stared at wild eyed wonder at the sushi buffet prepared fresh, and her mouth watered more, "Sushiiii! I'm so Happy!!!!" she wailed happily, "I think I'm gunna cry!" this said even though she had sushi damn near every day.
Her eyes were full of joy, and cheer as she spoke form the heart.
The maker merely smiled, and actually enjoyed the eccentric woman as she praised his talents a great deal before, and after she picked out her sushi meal. She nearly embarrassed him with her genuine praise.
After several minutes of sushi preparation, and plating she moved on to the buffet which was unmanned, then she calmly plated up a large meal as her mind needed much fuel.
"Ooohhhh! Pockyyyyyy! Strawberrry! Yeeeaaah!" she said in a quasi-private tone as she got a few boxes at the end of the buffet. She nearly let out a "whee!!" to top it all off.
With a good bit of food she wandered over to a table that was empty, in fact she purposely picked an empty table, then sat down.
She started eating as her life long friend materialized next to her, more or less, and "ate" with her even though the spirit of her Zanpakuto didn't need to eat, and only mimicked the act, but used their bond to know what the food was like so they could share it more.
Yumeji said not a word now as she munched hungrily, and blissfully glad for the metabolism that prevented her from getting fat.
Beyond the perceptions of all those around her, though, she spoke with her friend via the spiritual connection they had, and despite being aware of what the other has done, seemed to have a fulfilling conversation.
After dinner, she smiled, and felt like a million dollars. Her spirit retreated to her own home to rest form the training, feeling a lot better.
Yumeji stood with a cooler look on her face, and a slight smirk on her lips, then she wandered out of the restaurant with a lot less strangeness than she had entered with with the last stick of pocky being fed into her mouth like a branch into a wood chipper.
"Mmm" she smiled as she looked around, then pulled a pair of slender oval lens sunglasses from her kimono. She slipped them on, then walked along with bounce in her step thanks to her lovely meal.
As she wandered along, perhaps aimlessly, she paused to look at some female Shinigami with a smile that could only be described as a ":3" emote as she liked what she saw, but that was the extent of that encounter as she walked along.
She passed by an open training area with which she had no intention of entering, but someone, some lone figure called out "HEY! YOU! Train with me!"
It was a guuuuy, and that was a draaaag.
Yumeji sighed as she came to a halt, then looked over at him. She shook her head, and said "No way! It'll harsh my mellow, mang."
The Shinigami frowned, "Aw C'mon!" he walked into her path from the training area, "You afraid I'll beat you? Huh?"
Yumeji snerked, and stifled a laugh, then a hand slid the sunglasses further down the bridge of her nose so her eyes, thoroughly defiant stared at him, "Buddy, I couldn't care less. I couldn't give a hair off a rat's ass. All in all, I don't have jack to prove to you," she stared at him over the top of her sunglasses.
Her would be opponent looked disappointed, and angry at this, and was about to give up until...
From behind, Yumeji heard a woman's voice, a voice familiar to her that belonged to a Shinigami, and not her spirit buddy say "Aw, go ahead, and do it. He's new, and, well, needs his mouth shut somehow."
Yumeji tilted her head back in annoyance, then she let out a defeated groan, "Fine, fine," she wandered into the arena where she left her shawl, sunglasses, and umbrella a the side despite being worried some idjit would run off with them.
Her male opponent walked into the training area, then bowed.
Yumeji bowed in return, then stood with a loose neutral stance with her hand on the hilt of her sword, the scabbard in her other hand. For all intensive purposes it was a katana like most everyone else's Zanpakuto.
Her opponent stared at her with his katana drawn in both hands, then yelled "Draw!" at her as he was apparently unaware of her fighting style.
"I'm ready," she called back with a grin.
"Your sword isn't even out! Draw! Don't insult me by not taking me serious! You're not going to get away with bitching that you weren't ready!" he protested like a brat.
Yumeji maintained that grin below her defiant eyes, "Buddy, when I draw, it's over. Just do your best," she taunted, then she stuck her tongue out at him, and razzed him.
Her taunt worked, and he yelled angrily and charged with sword over head with both hands on the hilt. Apparently his temper got the best of him.
And now he'd pay.
She suddenly was a lot closer to him as she used Shunpo, and in his path, though he only saw the top of her head, the stars.
Yumeji had halted his charge when she thumbed the hilt of her sword which rocketed the sword out of the scabbard. This caused the pommel to smash into his jaw.
He staggered back as Yumeji let her sword fall back into the scabbard, then he felt his lip as he mistakenly felt blood.
Yumeji leapt back a bit, light on her feet, then she smiled at him with her hands, and sword behind her back, her posture bent towards him. Another taunt.
"Ik! Eeergh!" the man growled at this, then readied for a defense as he seethed at this woman, "Try that again!!"
Yumeji's eyes twinkled, then with another dash of shunpo she appeared next to him, "I don't like to repeat myself," she said calmly to him as she stood next to him not more than a foot away.
He attempted to bring his sword down on her, but she was not in a good position for his awkward slash.
It didn't matter though. She swept the legs from under him with her scabbard in a graceful, elaborate spin using leverage, and him being of balance to her advantage.
As he left his feet, and she whirled around, she drew her sword fully, then he felt the steel on his back which flung him forward, and away from the ground.
He managed to stumble back to his feet as she helped him back up, then he felt his back wide eyed with worry, but felt he wasn't cut.
He looked at her sword as she slid it into the scabbard, and saw she held it so she struck him with the flat of her sword as opposed to likely slice him in half.
"I said take me seriously!!" he screamed at her in frustration.
"Buddy, I don't take much of anything seriously," she said as her sword clinked into place in the scabbard, "Especially brats like you," she added a bit bitterly.
He charged at her again, then stabbed at her!
Yumeji leapt back a bit with her kimono getting a slice in it as it got tangled with the tip of his sword, but she calmly stuck her sheathed sword between his arms, then rested her forearm on his shoulder, and before he knew it, he was on the ground, face first in a well executed arm bar.
"Linking the dirt, brat?" Yumeji said with a frown as she tightened the arm bar aided by her scabbard.
The man could only wail in pain as the woman had her weight on him, and levered his arm which added to the power of the hold.
Yumeji held it until he tapped out, then she got up, and released the armbar, then walked away from him.
"GodDAMNIT! That sucked!" she said in a wild anger, then she exhaled, and slumped.
"My kimono is fucked up," she lamented at the source of her anger, then she put on the shawl to cover it up, then picked up her umbrella in her free hand, then began to walk off.
Her hands fumbled a bit as she pulled out her sunglasses, and put them on. She heaved another breath, then met with the female Shinigami, "Think he'll shut up?" she asked with all the sarcasm in the world.
"Probably not," she replied blandly, "he'll probably swear revenge, or somethin'."
"Remind me not to go fight at your say so," Yumeji replied blandly, though it was silly to say.
"Speaking of, the Captain wants to test for seating later today. I just figured you needed a warmup," she laughed a bit.
"Mou...'" Yumeji said in an upset, oh yeah tone, then sighed, "Fuck me runnin' I don't wanna do it... but it's an order, huh?"
"Yep," her pal said in a chirp as she put her hands behind her head, then cast her gaze upwards, "Ever since Unohana got promoted they want fresh, powerful people in their seating, and guess who I'm gunna nominate?"
"Auugh, thanks a lot!" Yumeji complained more, "Why not nominate yourself?"
"Coz you're stronger than ya let on, ya nutter," the female Shinigami laughed, and smiled at Yumeji in good nature, "And I think you're stronger than I am."
Yumeji attached her scabbard to her belt, then took off her sunglasses before she wiped her face, "Oiiiy," she replied simply, not fully believing this, then cocked her head to the side, "Well, lets get to the testing grounds, I guess."
She rapped the closed umbrella on her shoulder twice, idly as if she were tapping away some annoyance.
"Yeah, and good luck, Yumi. You deserve the promotion," her pal cheered.
That made Yumeji smile, and the praise warmed her heart a bit. A morsel of ego stroking that came rarely, "Thanks. We'll see what happens."
