Sylumn is quiet and keeps to himself. Can go days without talking or looking at anyone. He has no real reason for not talking to anyone and keeping to himself other than he has nothing to say. However when he is approached by someone familiar or a close friend he will engage in friendly conversation and have a good time. He is willing to go out of his way to make sure everyone is okay before thinking of himself. He would risk his life to make sure his closest friends and lovers are safe. That's what his father did. That's what his father would have wanted him to do as well. Never will he fight for himself. Never will he fight for a selfish reason. He fights to protect.

Appearance:

Sylumn has slightly longer hair than Shuhei Hisagi. His hair is white as well as are his eyes. Standing 5'8" tall, he wears the traditional Shinigami robes but with the colors reversed (white on the outside and black on the inside). He weights in at 165 lbs. and bears a scar stretching from his left shoulder to his right hip. He got his scar from dropping his Zanpakuto after being blinded by releasing it for the first time.

Zanpakuto Spirit:

Shinoi is a fox that is about the size of a dog. Its coat is solid white except for its paws which are black and have fur flowing from the back. Dark red eyes are its most distinguishing feature. Shinoi talks without moving her mouth but by vibrating his vocal cords and having the vibrations carried into the ear of the listener by the wind. She is a spirit of Air.

Whenever Shinoi talks to Sylumn he is calmed by the soothing voice that she has. It is the voice of his mother. Shinoi also acts motherly toward him. From commenting on his appearance to sitting and talking with him. The inner world that they speak to one another in is a lush green forest that is never too hot and never too cold.

Sealed Zanpakuto:

Sealed, the Zanpakuto is a bo-hi katana with a white handle and a black sheath. The blade is 28" long and is worn on the back.

Shikai Description:

Release Command - "Send your surge of wind. Shinoi!"

The Zanpakuto is sheathed and held in front of the user. Wind gusts about and in a flash of white light, a scythe that is 6 feet long and made out entirely out of metal replaces the sword. Despite being made of metal the scythe is as light as a feather. The bladed end has both sides sharpened for cutting. The blunt end has ribbons flowing from it.

Shikai Abilities:

Kizu - By pouring spiritual energy into the air after swinging, the air turns solid and accelerates forward at high velocity cutting anything it impacts with.

History/Background:

Sylumn lived as a regular kid for many years. He had a loving mother and father but no other siblings. He had no thoughts of ever becoming a Shinigami until one day he walked in his house after a long day of playing with his friends just in time to see his mother slain by a hollow. Quivering in fear, the young boy dropped to his knees. The hollow had noticed him and attempted to stab him but his father jumped in the way in order to save his only son. Despite the bloody wound, his father was able to slay the hollow before dying. After seeing both of his parents slain before his eyes, his eyes changed color from their usual bright blue color to white.

After the death of his parents he vowed to become a Shinigami to protect families from the hollows and to get revenge for his slain parents. He began training at a young age to gain power to fight. He trained for many years until he was of age to join the academy. When he joined, his classmates and his teachers soon found out that he had already learned his Zanpakuto's name and was able to call upon it without any effort at all. This brought good attention and enabled to graduate from the academy early. However he was often mocked and picked on because fellow students thought that the reason he didn't talk was because he thought he was better than everyone.

After a short time at the academy he graduated and now awaits to be assigned to a squad. He hopes to be assigned to the squad that takes care of most of hollows so he can slowly begin avenging his parents.

RP Sample:

"Somebody help me!" screamed a young woman as she runs from a hollow. This particular hollow was larger than 2 men and had four arms. Before the woman could get away the hollow grabbed her by the ankle and lifted her into the air.

"You will be a tasty snack" said the hollow. Just as the hollow began lowering the woman into its mouth a spray of blood came from its arm. In less than a second the severed arm fell to the floor, releasing the woman. "Who dares?!" yelled the hollow. Looking to his right he saw a young man with white hair holding his sheathed sword infront of him.

"Send your surge of wind. Shinoi!"

A bright flash blinded the hollow. Before the disoriented hollow could regain his sight the man swung his massive scythe with such speed it was not seen. Three more spurts of blood came spewing from the remaining arms as they fell to the ground.

"Who are you?!" questioned the hollow.

"My name is...", he swung his scythe one last time, cutting the head of the hollow in half and said "Sylumn Ryugi."

Sylumn walked over to the woman, helping her up he said "Are you okay?" The woman got up assured him that she was okay and thanked him.

"If you didn't come along when you did I might not have been able to see my family again." said the woman. "Where are my manners. I know your name but you don't know mine. My name is Ushukari Mamora."

"I'm pleased to meet you. Would you like an escort home? The hollows are becoming more abundant recently." said Sylumn

"I'd like that." said Ushukari, smiling.

Decided I could do a bit more before a went to sleep.
Please let me know anything that you think I could do to better this one as compared to the last.
