History/Background:
Hideaki Hayashi was born into a noble family. Tired of being pampered all his life, when he was 13, he decided to run away. He went to live in the toughest place he could think of: District 80 in the Rukongai. For the next 70 years, he had to fight to survive. All the fighting, running, and lack of food caused his body to take on a skinny shape that doesnft ever change. But behind that weak look is more power then could be imagined.RP Sample:
In a fight against 5 other boys, he was sent flying into a tree. He collided with the tree, the breath knocked from his lungs. He fell to one knee at the trees base. When the men started to laugh at him, he tried to stand and charge at them. When he stood, two hands stretched from the tree, pulling him inside. When he was inside the tree, he saw a dense forest all around him. He started walking through the forest, looking for a way out.
He walked for what seemed like months, living off the berries he found here and there. Half insane from the lack of contact with another living creature, he started talking to the trees. He noticed when he did talk to them, they spoke back. He wasnft sure if it was just the onset of insanity, or if he could really hear them. But as he spoke to them, they told him of a woman that lived in the forest. They called her a guardian. Hideaki decided to set out in search of her.
As he searched through the forest, 3 months passed. He was lying by a tree when he saw her. She was at a river, drinking some water. He cautiously and silently approached her, not wanting to scare the woman. He got to within 5 feet of her and he cleared his throat. She stood up casually, as if she was expecting him. She turned to him, a sword in its sheath in her hands. She handed him the sword, smiled, and vanished. Hideaki held onto the sword, staring where she just stood, completely bewildered.
He walked for another 5 months, searching for the woman again to ask her who she was. Why she gave him this sword. In his search he found something else: the exit. He saw a large gap in the forest and followed it. The path lead him to the edge of a town in the Rukongai. The sword firmly gripped in his hand, he walked into the town, immediately challenged the leader of the biggest gang in the Rukongai, and defeated him. Taking his spot as the leader, he disbanded the gang, his first unselfish act.
As time went on, the acts became more and more frequent. As he started to act more and more kind to others, he started to notice things. The trees here began to talk to him too. Not long after, everywhere he looked, a name seemed to form in the bark and in the leaves of every tree: Hayai Mori. He decided to name his sword that, after the woman that gave him the sword. Little did he know, that was actually the swords name. When he called out to the sword, screaming the name as he charged at a group of men beating up an old man, he felt different; stronger and faster. He was vanishing, only to reappear behind each enemy. With every swing, the men fell, bones broken and large craters forming in the ground.
He thought about it, and he realized what had happened. This blade was his Zanpakuto. The forest he was in was its inner world. And the woman that gave him the sword was its spirit. Upon this realization, Hayai spoke to him for the first time. Her voice was calm and warm, making Hideaki feel more relaxed then he ever felt before. gHello Hideaki. As you know, I am Hayai Mori. I am your Zanpakuto and together, we will protect the weak and save those who canft save themselves.h When he heard this, Hideaki felt a surge of pride, wonder, and excitement.
Hideaki spent much his time for the next 20 years speaking to Hayai. In that time, he learned what Hayai did for him. He learned humility. And he learned to protect others and how to trust. At the end of the 20 years, he and Hayai decided that it was time to go the academy. He did some more training, fighting a group of 30 men using Hayaifs Shikai form. With the released power and speed, the men stood no chance and were quickly dispatched. The few friends Hideaki made in the Rukongai wished him luck, and the next day he left for the academy.
In the academy, Hideaki wasnft able to do much Kido. The first binding spell is about all he could learn. But his swordsmanship and shunpo ability made of for it in spades. His level of shunpo that rivaled that of the top Onmitsukido surprised many. He graduated from the academy, and was made an official shinigami.
Closing his eyes, Hideaki tried to sense out his opponents. One...two...three...and four. His eyes snapped open and he vanished as the four shinigami all struck simultaneously, the place he was just standing exploding in the outpour of power. He used shunpo to go between each, delivering five blows to each opponent with the flat of his blade to avoid any permanent damage.
Each shinigami took a blow to each side of the ribs, an elbow to the back, a knee to the gut, and another elbow to the back of the head, laying them flat. He looked at them, smiling, breathing heavily. These Onmitsukido members really know how to keep him moving, not giving him time for rest. He laughed loudly at how close he came to being laid flat instead of them with that combined attack of there's. Then he realized how glad he was that these weren't seated members of the Onmitsukido. He would have been a goner.
"Well done everyone. You almost had me with that last attack. Keep practicing that, and I'm sure you'll be seated in no time." He turned and walked away, sheathing Hayai and smiling happy and content. {You're really lucky you used Shikai at the last second you know. They would have had you on your back in an instant if you didn't. Hahhh... What would you do without me, Hideaki?} Hayai joked with him, laughing in his head. "We're getting faster though Hayai. That's always a good thing." {True. Let's go rest now.} "Good idea." Hideaki let out a loud laugh and walked to the company barracks, jumping onto the roof, and nodding off into a nice, long nap.
