With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

It was funny how blind love could make someone. The guilt she had felt for abandoning her seat as a Captain held no contest against the decision she had made for the one she loved. In her eyes, she had done right, and she knew that her decision was true. Still, despite currently being up on cloud nine, she couldn't help the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that all good things, such as this, couldn't last forever. Nevertheless, Kyra Rounin was determined to make certain that she and her lover would receive the classic happily ever after ending.
After a friendly visit to a certain candy shop owner, the pair were currently walking down the business district of Karakura Town, within their respective Gigai bodies, simply attempting to live a normal life. The short crimson haired woman seemed rather clingy, uncharacteristically, as she hugged the arm of the much taller woman with a slightly goofy smile expressed upon her features. She cared not for the strange expressions that random strangers would give them, simply for the warmth she felt fluttering in her stomach, and slowly rising up her chest as she held on tightly to the woman she loved. It had been a month since their battle... a month since the two had defected from their respective sides... a month since the two had confessed their love. Kyra had wanted to mark this special occasion sincerely, and as such, wanted to treat Ai to whatever restaurant she wanted.
Attired in a clingy shimmering scarlet spaghetti-top dress and matching colored heals, each step she took clicked, a bit off in synchronization to Ai's own steps; of course explained due to being far shorter and needing to take more comfortable steps to keep up with the woman next to her. That long flowing red mane had been tied back neatly into a ponytail, her normal bangs parted to both sides of her face. Kyra had never really been one to use makeup, or even style her hair. Yet, she found a reason to now. She wanted this day to be special for the both of them... she wanted nothing to go wrong... she wanted everything... to be perfect.
Ever since their having left everything behind, Ai knew bliss, she knew happiness again, not simple fleeting moments of the emotion here and there. But far more deeper than the superficial, it was a contentment that she had not recognized nor known for a long time. It was the fulfillment of one thing: Purpose. In the past as a Shinigami she felt purpose, she knew it wholly, and that purpose was simple - to love and being honor to her family. But she lost all of that, she held no purpose any longer upon becoming a Vizard, that purpose shattered the moment her sister died in her arms. But now, she has found a new purpose, it is even more simplistic than it was before - to love Kyra with all her heart and soul.
For the longest time she believed her exile would be indefinite, but Kyra entering into her life changed and challenged all that. She hoped and prayed secretly this bliss would last at least as long as her exile did, that their exile together would give them time to be together, to truly know their hearts desires for such a span. All she really had in that regard was hope... After all, she managed to evade Seireitei on her own for a few centuries, together they could evade their pasts within Seireitei and Hueco Mundo for even longer... right?
Ai looked to the girl at her side, the lovely crimson haired girl she adores so completely clingy to Ai's arm. She could only smile at her welling up with heartwarming emotions of being with her... forever. Ai in contrast to her lover wore a nice suit one would expect a man to wear, only the suit was tailored perfectly to show off her feminine curves and features. Though it was a bit of trick for Ai to pick out her favorite restaurant, because primarily, she did not really know of any. But she did not want to be a downer on Kyra, so as they walked she glanced about the street for anything with a modicum of familiarity to cuisine she normally eats.
Spotting a common though nice Japanese restaurant, Ai pointed over to it as looked to Kyra, the expression on Ai's face one as if seeking the girl's approval out of uncertainty, like someone making a guess and hoping its a correct one...

She felt like a child... well, in comparison to age, she probably still was. Nevertheless, Kyra felt like just that; a child just receiving her first love. Her heart raced every time she had thought of the woman while they were apart, and now that they were finally together, she didn't think she could find any further happiness than this. Despite turning her back on Soul Society, she knew what she had done was true. She didn't think it selfish in the least; fate had brought them together, and Kyra had fought so much just to be with Ai, that she felt that the Gods of Fate had finally recognized her sacrifices and granted her the one wish that had always remained dormant in her heart until her final battle with the Vizard; to be with the woman she loved and adored. Be it Espada or Captain, she knew she could take on anything that would stand in their way should their past come back to haunt them. With Ai, she believed that anything was possible... anything...
"Sure!" Kyra chirped merrily, still clinging to the woman's arm as she pointed out a restaurant she barely glazed at. Those eyes sparkled brightly as they remained fixated upon Ai, still unable to really take in anything else around her. It didn't matter where they ate, so long as she could be with her. This day... it would mark the official start of their relationship... this day... would go on beautifully without any interruptions... one could only hope.
This was happiness, something she wanted to cling to with all her heart. An adoring and loving smile as she gazed upon Kyra is all she held on her face. Not in the least did she mind Kyra's clinging onto her, it was cute but more than that it made her feel loved. A feeling she had not felt in a long, long time and only longed for for centuries. Every touch, every gaze into her eyes, every intimate moment was a precious treasure - a blink in the universe that by contrast and contradiction lasted a lifetime Ai desperately clung to. In her eyes it is a salvation for them both to indulge together.
Though in the next moment, Ai froze in her steps, her eyes went wide in dismay sensing a presence she knew well from her time in Hueco Mundo. Her eyes turned to look down the sidewalk ahead of them. As the busy sidewalk of passersby shuffled along, some unwittingly cleared they way for Ai's line of sight unveiling a short pink hued girl with bright light blue eyes and pale skin in while revealing robes. The girl easily Kyra's size as the little girl stared off up at the clouds pensively, slowly those bright blue eyes turned to look upon the couple.
"Ai-sama...", uttered the pink haired, blue eyed girl with a soft, calm little voice that seemed to hold a deeply dark and sinister sensation within each word, "Gin-sama expects you to return to Los Noches. I have assured him you will come back with us, and serve him loyally once again. You can come with us peaceful willingly, or we can do so by force."
'We' Ai mouthed only the word, but her eyes drifted to her left catching sight of the other pink haired girl only with blood red eyes, a tiny Arrancar that was created by Gin. The little Arrancar girl moved to stand beside the little Vizard girl, give their very petite size and sharing the same pink shade hair color as well as their snow white pallor one might confuse them for sisters even. With the two of them, she knew Gin would not have simply sent them to take care of Ai, especially considering Kyra is with her, she knew there had to be others.
The veteran Vizard looked to her lover smiling confidently as she whispered to Kyra, "There's more of them than these two, Gin thinks too efficiently... If we split up, we can separate them and lose them. We'll meet back at the warehouse, ok?", but the confidence in reality was bravado, and she knew if they split it up... they would not go after Kyra as she said, they would go after her. But, she wanted Kyra to be safe, unharmed, preserved - away from this battle - so she lied. With an arrogant smirk, Ai replied to Sakura, "It's odd to have my servant in Los Noches speak to me in such a manner. It's even more odd to see you outside of Hueco Mundo, Sakura-san."
"It is not by choice, Ai-sama.", Sakura stated, "Only orders."
"Hmph.", Ai grunted seemingly out of a nonchalance, though a bit more out of displeasure than anything, but a smirk slowly grew back on her face as she remarked, "Well... catch us if you can...", she then looked to Kyra as she whispered, "Go!", and in a flash Ai seemed to shimmer from sight in a blinding speed to which the little Arrancar girl and little Vizard girl also seemed to disappear from sight as well chasing after Ai...
