With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

Hollows... by the hundred, it seemed. Several Garganta opened throughout the city, with low level Hollows pouring out by the hundreds. Behind them, Adjuchas-class Hollows, nearly fifteen to twenty, each commanding the Hollows before them! Almost immediately within the town of Karakura, sirens went off; Soul Society immediately alerting the respective Shinigami of the sudden outbreak, and even a few more Garganta opening to reveal some high-level Arrancar.
"Rukia!" Ichigo cried out to the petite raven haired Shinigami, who's eyes were widened as she stared at her phone.
"They're... they're everywhere!" Rukia gasped, looking straight above to find another portal opening up. "They're continuing to grow!"
"We've gotta stop'em!" Ichigo shouted as he swallowed the small modified soul pill, expelling his soul out from his body and allowing Kon to take over. "Kon! Head back to the house and watch over my family! NOW!"
"They're being attracted by the strange spiritual pressures that have been arising in the past half hour," Rukia stated, her own soul evacuated from her Gigai, now appareled in the standard Shinigami robes.
"Getsuga Tenshō!" Immediately, Ichigo unleashed a wave of blue energy, diminishing several Hollows at once, but knowing full well that eliminating just five or six at once wasn't going to cut it, especially with their numbers hastily increasing. With a throw of his hand, he hurled his fang-shaped blade before him, as the cloth around the hilt began to wrap around his arm. Taking a firm stance, his reiatsu began to explode around him. "BANKAI!"
With an expulsion of spiritual energy, the clouds of uplifted smoke cleared with a black robed Ichigo tearing through, pure black katana in hand, and tearing through a Hollow with relative ease.
"Rukia, are there anymore Shinigami currently in town?" Ichigo shouted as he gathered up more reiatsu to unleash an even bigger attack. "Getsuga Tenshō!"
"They've all been alerted," Rukia shouted back as she leaped out of the way of an oncoming attack. "Some no mai, Tsukishiro!"
Several hundred meters away, a forest green haired woman watched in pure shock as an abnormal amount of spiritual energy signatures began to flurry out within the town she had found new residence in. Whether it be to the odd amount of spiritual energy within the town itself, or the path fate itself deemed to set before her, she was uncertain. However, it seemed that even as she passed by a particular clinic with some strange orange haired teen running her way, her eyes shifted up to a rather familiar scene; a Garganta opening up, with a heavy amount of reiatsu behind it.
"It looks like I really have no choice..." the softly spoken woman whispered, as though she were talking to herself. Her hand moved to her hip, as though to grab onto something that weren't there. However, with a sudden flash of reiatsu, the woman forcefully expelled her own soul from her body, her hand reaching for the hilt of a sheathed katana, and muttered a single phrase. "Darken the Sky, Ouryuu!"
With a burst of spiritual energy, her sword took on a slightly altered form. The unnamed Shinigami leaped toward the running teen, who had no idea who the woman was, but was simply just running away from the ten to twenty hollows that suddenly appeared behind him.
"Get down!" The woman shouted as she leaped up into the air. Kon immediately dove as the green haired woman leaped over him, sword drawn. With a collection of spiritual energy, the woman began to spin her body around, her sword held out in front of her. "Tsunami!"
A thick mist gathered at the guard of her blade and engulfed the Zanpakuto fully. With a wind up and a swing, the green haired Shinigami unleashed a powerful blast of water toward the oncoming Hollows. Because most had been small fry, they were taken out rather easily, but it seemed more of the higher class were slowly starting to gather toward her. Where they attracted to her because of her spiritual energy? No.. that couldn't have been it... they were here before she unmasked her reiatsu. Her eyes trailed back to the orange haired boy, who immediately began to tremble at the large Gillian-class Menos towering toward the small housing clinic to the right.

One more garganta opened from it stepped Halibel, and Matanza. Neither were in ressureccion form, though, so perhaps that was some good fortune for the heroes.
Halibel leapt into action immediately using Sonido to appear next to Rukia, then threw a hard side kick with her long leg aimed at her side. Nothing apparent made Halibel think to fight Rukia first, but she did, and there wasn't a need in holding back, and waiting for the time to be ripe to strike. Something... someone urged her on to fight.
Matanza looked up at Ichigo with an evil smirk on her face, and she had the audacity to blow a kiss at him, and wave as if to taunt him. Would he notice? Would it distract him? Who knew. All Matanza cared about was that she had a trump card, and she could easily stay in the minds of everyone that saw her now. She loved that idea a lot.
Meanwhile, Soifon raced for the scene of the battle along with Yoruichi unsure what that Ai woman really had in mind as she picked a fight with her. Was Kyra on the side of the storm bringers? Had she completely betrayed the Soul Society? Augh... this was a lousy day.
Shit! A lone thought ran across the small girl's mind as she felt an incredible strong and dangerous presence. W-what the hell?!
Karin Kurosaki's bones trembled and the raw intensity of the spiritual pressure that had seemed to come out of no where. It was like nothing she had ever experience before, nothing that she had ever seen ever since she had attained the ability to sense and see spirits.
"Ichi-nii..." She whispered, her eyes wide as she looked out the window to see a vast number of Gillian-class meno beginning to draw near to their house. "I-Ichi-nii will save us..."
At least, she thought that he would. It was only a matter of time before her younger sister, Yuzu, came running into their room to cling frighteningly to her sister.
"Karin..." Her voice was deathly quiet, as if her vocal chords were constricted with fear. "I-I'm sccared...! Are there... a lot of them?"
The girl was silent for a moment before answering her sister.
"Y-yea..."
The light-brown haired girl beside her began to cry uncontrollably, curling up into a ball from pure fear of the intense spiritual force that lingered about them.
Ichi-nii... She silently begged while looking out the window.
And then he saw him, relief breaking across her like a tidal wave. The boy running down the road to get to the house. But... why was he in his human form? Did he forget his badge at home or something? It made no sense.
When she saw him, the fear in his eyes... the way he was trembling... she knew.
That wasn't Ichigo at all. Fear consumed her once again, wondering what was going to become of their family. Protectively, she wrapped her arms around her shaking sister, praying to whatever entity that the real Ichigo would appear and save them, like he always did.
When someone did, she almost jumped up and yelled Ichigo's name, but quickly realized that it wasn't him. Her eye's grew wide at the sight of the stranger, who had swept in to protect them all.
The fake Ichigo took no time to running into the house, instantly slamming the door behind him. Karin, relieved for the moment to see someone holding off the gillian, stood up and stomped down the stairs, ready to beat the crap out of this imposter.
That is, until...
"Welcome home! You useless son of mine!" Her father's cheerful voice rang out, causing Karin to twtich, ever so slightly. She couldn't say anything in front of her ignorant father!
--------------------------
He shot the boy in front of him a serious look before faking a cheerful smile again. "I have a great idea! Why don't we all head up into Yuzu and Karin's room and have some great family bonding time!"
His daughter quickly shot out in front of him, almost desperate to block his way to the room. "Y-you can't go in there! Y-yuzu's not feeling well!"
"What?!" He roared with laughter, "No daughter of mine gets sick! It would break my dear Masaki's heart!"
Pushing her daughter out of the way, he grabbed both his children by the arms and practically hauled them to his daughters' room with a false smile set in place.
This is bad... He thought to himself. If it weren't for that... person, I would've had to shown myself. Something is very... very wrong here.
Also, something bothered him about the new spiritual pressure that had entered the fray. Somehow, it seemed very familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. If anyone, it reminded him of... no, but that wasn't right. She had died many years ago, he had seen the report himself.
As he entered the room, he immediately went over to the curled up form of Yuzu and picked her up, cradling her in his arms.
"Daddy's here," he pouted, "you don't have to feel sick anymore... You are a strong, strong girl."
"B-but Daddy..." She wailed into his form, probably wondering why the hell her father thought she was sick. "Y-you don't understand!"
"Shhhhh... of course daddy understands." Isshin cooed, she had no idea exactly how much he understood. Masaki, please help me protect our children.
Just then, there was a loud howl that sounded through the house, a howl that Isshin, being the perfect actor that he was, completely seemed to ignore. He did however, shoot Kon a sidewards glance. The guy gulped, causing Isshin to mentally sigh, the pathetic mod-soul had forgotten his charm again.
As soon as the howl sounded; however, Yuzu screamed, overwhelmed by the intense spiritual pressure and passing out in his arms. Karin did a better job then her, but her own reiastu was obviously higher then her sister's. She looked towards the source of the noise, eyes widened with horror and shock.
Apparently, one of the hollow had gotten around their only defense and was standing right in front of the clinic. There was a loud roar before the roof immediately caved in, falling about them. A particular piece of debris fell over Karin's form, immediately crushing her under it's weight.
"Karin!" He cried out, laying Yuzu on the bed and dashing towards the dust cloud.
Thankfully, the debris had only hit her leg, pinning her and possibly having broken it, but at least she was alive. She opened her eyes blearily and looked about in a daze, finding her father's concerned face before her.
"D-Dad..." She croaked out, her face laced with pain and fear.
"Shh, you're going to be okay." Isshin stated worriedly, stubbornly ignoring another howl from behind him and lifting off the piece of debris as if it were easy work. "Daddy is going to fix everything."
She shook her head and tried to speak, but the pain was obviously too much, and she passed out.
The man stood slowly, his back facing the continuous growls of whatever had caused his family so much pain.
"This, this is it?" It roared, he immediately identified it as an Adjuchas, as it put off enough spiritual energy to be of such. "This is pathetic! I came all the way here to eat two human girls and two others that can't even sense me?! What a waste of time!"
"You have caused pain to my family." He deadpanned, back still facing the towering creature. "Prepare to die." "W-what?!"
But it was too late, in an instant, the elder Kurosaki had spun about and pulled himself out of his gigai, his reiastu flaring up like a canon. Before the Adjuchas could react; however, he launched himself into the air, cleaving off the head of the creature with one, fell draw. He ended up landing on the street outside his house.
A brief static pop signaled the arrival of another arrancar. He appeared suddenly, several feet behind Halibel, her light blue hair shifting slightly in the wind. She stared coldly at the orange haired shinigami and his petite companion, her icy gaze partially covered by her bangs, that always hid her left eye. "Halibel-sama, forgive my intrusion but I wish to support you if you are fighting." Her voice was a bit quiet, but also firm. "Please do not worry about my welfare, I have improved myself since we last met." This was true, as Lucia had gained much experience and skill from the countless missions she had partaken in, she was at least as powerful as a low level Espada.
Lucia backed away from Halibel, allowing her to fight the battle against her opponent, she didn't need to ask, she knew Halibel would want to fight this on her own. Instead she carefully surveyed the surrounding area, determined to intercept any enemy that dared to interrupt Halibel-sama's fight.
Stepping out from one of the Gargantas walking up beside the high-level Arrancar that initially showed up on the scene, a pink haired Arrancar girl appeared on the scene was well standing beside the other. It was Vaaz, she turned to the other and inquired, "Do you want to bring as much chaos as you want? Or is our stay for just as long as you get the one you want?"
Meanwhile, following behind Yoruichi and Soifon, Ai still in her Bankai form with her mask on - though by now the third of her mask that covered her left eye had crumbled away. She could not help but question why she was even aiding the Shinigami in all of this, typically she did not care what Hollows did these days and more over even sympathized with them more than she did Shinigami. With a slight sigh she asked Yoruichi, "Kyra will be safe at Urahara's during all of this, right?"

Rydia had just finished off a Menos Grande when she turned to find the teen she had just saved running into a house that was being torn apart by another Hollow. Letting out a curse, she began to move forward when another hoard appeared before her. Frustration filled her senses as she wound her sword back, flaring her reiatsu outward.
"Mabushii Iki!" Rydia cried out as the tip of her blade collected a good amount of mist-appearing reiatsu. With a thrust of her sword, she blasted the hollows away with a powerful burst of water-based spiritual energy. The long green haired woman made a single leap, then pressed her other foot onto the face of another hollow in order to save that teen and whomever else may have been in that homemade clinic. Her eyes widened, however, as she felt a powerful burst of... rather familiar reiatsu. The Adjuchas-class Hollow's head was cleaved hastily from the rest of its body, with a Shinigami appearing in the street. Rydia was left to stare in disbelief, and stopped in her sprint.
"I.. im... impossible..." Several emotions began to build up within the elder Shinigami as her blue dragon-faced Vizard mask all but diminished from her face, revealing those teal colored hues that seemed to build heavy with moisture. "It... it can't be..."
The hollows that she had leaped over before attempted to strike her while she was in her dazed state, but a quick turn and a fierce glare forced them to pause momentarily in their tracks. With a swing of her blade, she expelled a powerful water-filled mist that diminished the creatures where they stood. Seriously! Did they not notice the sudden change in atmosphere?! She was trying to have a fucking flash back scene for fuck's sake!
"RUKIA!" Ichigo called out to the petite woman who was launched down through the roof of an office building by the sudden appearance of an Arrancar. Those orange hues shifted toward the source of high reiatsu, then another appeared near him, seeming to try and flirt with him. The orange haired teen ignored the woman as he reached for his mask, forcing it to materialize in an instant. He knew the woman from the winter war not too long ago. She was a former Espada. What the hell was she doing here?
"Getsuga Tenshō!" With a battle shout, Ichigo unleashed a powerful black wave of energy, outlined in red, that tore through the sky straight toward Rukia's attacker.
>>"Kyra will be safe at Urahara's during all of this, right?"<<
"She should be fine," the feline announced as she continued to keep her pace relatively fast. While she didn't go all out, she was nearing a master level of flash step as she continued to use the tops of buildings and the like to try and get to the center of the chaos. There seemed to be no real center, as portals opened up nearly everywhere. Hollows were continuing to pour out, leaving no real sight to the end of this mess. Still, there were several much stronger reiatsu she felt that needed to be taken care of first... and her eyes lit open as she felt one of those strong reiatsu suddenly flare up back at Urahara's shop...

Halibel heard Ichigo before he attacked, and took it as a warning. She used a sudden Sonido to move backwards, and grabbed Lucia on her way to get her out of the blast range. Halibel shielded herself with her sword Cero, and deadened a lot of the Getsuga Tensho splash damage, but she got some burns out of the assault. It hurt plenty, and she expected it to. She felt the danger in battling Ichigo keenly.
She didn't speak to Lucia, but it was apparent that things were going to get nasty around Halibel as she cast a glance to the girl, then looked back at Ichigo.
She was about to counter attack, but something got in her way.
What got in her way? An annoyed Matanza, of course! How dare that brat not pay attention to her?! Grr! She's prettier than Halibel! Or that flat chested bitch-igami the woman punted. Matanza frowned as she was ignored, "Of course... men are too stupid," she muttered and she blew a second kiss, but this time, a potent pink cero erupted from her palm aimed at Ichigo while he was distracted with attacking Halibel. She wasn't sure just how powerful it'd be, but hey, she had her trump card, and that made her feel almost endlessly arrogant.
She paused, and jerked a bit as she realized someone else was near. She turned to look at Vaaz, then smiled at her, "Yeah, Chaos. Go for it," she smirked a little, then swatted her on the ass, "Go get'em."
Fast approaching the battle scene Soifon just barely trailed behind Yoruichi. Even though Soifon was certain she was 99.99999% as fast as Yoruichi, she still tingled, and blushed a little as she admired the view from second place, and mentally gushed over Yoruichi's endless grace, and power. She just hoped the speed they were going at, her fangirlism wouldn't be readily noticed. Luckily she kept her mind on the fight, despite the distractions. She had to learn this when she trained with Yoruichi, after all, or else she'd just endlessly be slaughtered every time they trained.
Yoruichi's being ahead of her made Soifon forget all about her anger at Ai. She even forgot the Vizard was behind her almost completely. Maybe if things went well in this fight, she'd get over Ai being a Vizard, and said horrible things about her Yoruichi-sama? Eh, maybe.
Isshin jumped, well, mentally. He was about to jump when he saw a group of hollow attempt to attack his family's temporary saviour, but the person had spung and taken care of it herself.
Once her hollow mask had faded; however, the sheer presence hit him like a brick. It couldn't be her... that was an impossibilty. She was dead, and yet she was hear, with her flowing green hair just the way he remembered it.
"... Rydia?" He called out in disbelief.
She had died, it was a fact. She was lost in that battle and no one had ever found her corpse. For years, they looked, and nothing came up. Rydia was dead, and Isshin had accepted it as a fact.
But no, now was not the time to reminisce, he had to be sure that his family was safe. Granted, they weren't at all, Isshin had failed there. He had been too concerned about concealing him identity from his daughters that he hadn't been able to stop them from feeling so much pain.
His eyes snapped to, and he simply raised two fingers in her direction. His reiastu beginning to rise ever so slightly. "Hadou 33, Sokatsui."
A bolt of blue kido immediatly shot from the tip of his fingers. Unlike most users of Sokatsui, his bolt was more controlled, flying right over Rydia's shoulder before spreading out like the incantation was intended to do.
It poured past her, obliterating every Gillian in the generally area, and obliterating them from the face of the planet. His scowl faded into a flat line, with the traces of a smile pulling at the edges of his lips as he walked over to stand side-by-side with his old friend.
"It's been a long time," Isshin said simply, his eyes never leaving the advancing Gillian and Adjuchas. "... Rydia."
Without another word or a sidewards glance, he shot forward, charging headlong into the onslaughting hollow.
--------------------
Her eyes flickered open, head pounding and leg throbbing. It was painful, so painful. Why was there so much pain? Where the hell was she?
"Unggh..." She groaned out, blearily looking about as her struggled to focus. When she finally did, she saw the collasped form of her father right before her own.
Her eyes sprung open as her memories flooded back into her mind, fear constricted her ability to breathe. In desperation, she crawled over to her father's body, her voice lost in that moment.
"D-dad?" She squeaked, tears forming in her eyes and she flipped him over, his eyes were closed and she couldn't see him breathe. "Dad! Dad!"
She shook his still form, attempting to wake him, but to no avial. Tears sprung into her eyes as she felt for a pulse on his wrist. Her eyes widened. There was nothing.
It's as if her whole world fell apart in that instant.
"H-h-hey! This isn't funny Dad!" She practically screamed, willing her father to wake up. This wasn't happening, it couldn't be. "DAD! WAKE UP!"
She pounded her fist against his chest relentlessly, his lifeless body not even scolding her in response. After a couple moments, Karin Kurosaki broke down, burying her face into his chest and chest relentlessly.
"Don't leave me!" Karin wailed into his form, her voice muffled by his chest. "Don't you dare go back to mom yet! D-don't leave!"
Lucia was taken by utter surprise when Halibel grabbed her and Sonido'd out of the way of the orange haired shinigami's attack. Lucia's closer her eyes briefly as the explosion between the Shinigami's attack and Halibel's cero blinded her for just a second. When she opened her eyes, Halibel was standing in front of her, slightly injured by the force of the Shinigami's attack. If she hadn't saved her, Lucia would have been seriously injured "Halibel-sama!" Lucia exclaimed, startled by event. "I - I'm sorry, If I wasn't in the way you wouldn't be hurt" her voice shuddered a bit as she said this rather quietly. All Lucia really wanted to do was help Halibel in any way she could, she knew Halibel disliked fighting to some extent, if she fought for her, then maybe Halibel would be a little happier. Lucia stared at the enemy, trying not to look at Halibel, afraid of her own failure to do what she initially came here to do. She wanted to try and fight the Shinigami, to prove her worth, but now she was unsure, for the first time in her life, she doubted her own abilities.
Ai did not look convinced in response to Yoruichi's answer, though she paused mid-flight to the chaos once she felt the increase of reiatsu from Urahara's shop. She then stated to the former master and apprentice pair, "The Hollows slaughtering the humans... and perhaps even not but a few Shinigami... mean absolutely nothing to me... My only concern is for the young Vizard...", and with that she shimmered from sight heading off to Urahara's shop to help Kyra.
Meanwhile...
Vaaz smiled and nodded in response to Matanza's answer to her questioning, and just as she was about to go off and have some fun - her unblinking blood red eyes popped open wide from getting her ass smacked. Her head snapped to Matanza in shock as the little Arrancar, Vaaz, blushed red before heading off to have her fun.
As she walked throught he air she drew her black wakizashi zanpakuto and abruptly ramming its blade through her neck, and yanked it right back out - she looked visibly unphased by stabbing herself through the neck. Immense amounts of her blood splurted in the air all around her from her wound that healed itself within a few seconds. But with a graceful wave of her right hand her blood swirled about and formed into an occultic circle that appeared and even could be felt as being unwholesome from a distance away. She flicked its center and the ripples of the blood from her flicking the circle's core upon touching its edges triggered the circle's reaction. The circle exploded into a gigantic red massive of spiritual energy with the loud static like hum of a Cero as it crashed down to the surface below upon humans, Hollows, and Shinigami alike indisciminately. The Cero upon hitting the ground burst into a gigantic dark red energy plus explosion engulfing and destroying anything too weak to withstand it.
