With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Izaya complied and began to lay down again. He gave a thankful look at Kin. She really did care. He closed his eyes and exhaled slowly. He had no clue what she was doing but it felt amazing. It was like she was fixing everything.
"Kin-chan, you're amazing. I don't think I've ever been healed by this kind of Kido before. What did they teach you? It's...so relieving."
He let out a slight yawn. It was making him the slightest bit sleepy. However, he had to stay awake. On the bright side, his ribs were hurting a lot less now. Izaya looked back up and her and smiled. She really was quite good at this. And, frankly, he appreciated it. The short Shinigami was feeling much better in his midsection. However, his shoulder and hips still hurt.
"Kin-chan, who do I talk to about fixing my shoulder and hips. Obviously the missing an arm was the concern of whoever fixed me up but the aforementioned body parts are dislocated. Typically, I would set them myself. But, you know."
"You're in knots, Izaya-kun..."
He looked up at Kin with a disheveled look on his face. What did she mean? How was he in knots? Did she mean that his bones were knotting? No, that didn't sense. Think Yotogi, think. Did she mean his reiastu?
"You mean my reiastu is in knots dear? How exactly does that work?"
"It's not so hard," Kin said, "You feed your reiatsu through the person who needs healing, and it accelerates their own regeneration."
He yawned, and smiled to her. It made the blue-eyed shinigami a little bit nervous the way he stared at her, but she continued trying to work through the oddly-flowing reiatsu paths. As he asked about his shoulder and hips, she tried to work through the rest of the clogs in his system. But each time she pushed one out, another formed. Her brow knitted together - he was really hurt.
"You mean my reiatsu is in knots, dear? How exactly does that work?"
"Normally reiatsu flows through your body smoothly at a resting state, but yours isn't," Kin explained, feeding reiatsu into Izaya just a little more forcefully. She arced her hands upwards in a rather odd motion, but it felt more natural to her. "It's stopped...around your right shoulder...there are more blockages, but that one's the worst."
She looked to the side. "I can get Omoi-san to help me with your hips and shoulder later. I'm better at kido anyways."

"You feed your reiatsu through the person who needs healing, and it accelerates their own regeneration."
"Really? So I could just push some reiastu through and actually heal someone? That's interesting. Kin-chan, you're really good at this."
Izaya stopped staring at her. He didn't want to freak out his medic at this point. He stared, instead, at the ceiling. It was a very average ceiling. There was nothing really special about it. Odd thoughts went through his head as he tried to not look at Kin. For some reason, his eyes just settled on her. He was aware of how illogical that was. Frankly, he didn't care.
"Normally reiatsu flows through your body smoothly at a resting state, but yours isn't,"
He could no longer avert his gaze. Izaya stared at Kin. Another thing that happened was also quite odd for him. His hand fell on top of one of hers. His hand was warm despite his unyielding cold sensation. He radiated all his heat. Feeling rather hopeless, his face contorted into a very sorrow filled expression.
"It's stopped...around your right shoulder...there are more blockages, but that one's the worst."
"I know," Kin said with a smirk when Izaya complimented her. It was short-lived, as she was worried, but it was also true. She knew she was good at it. Kido was her talent - why would healing kido be any different? His hand fell on top of hers, and she looked down.
"Does that mean I can't use my reiatsu?"
Kin didn't know. Surely his reiatsu would be difficult to control, but to be completely unable? She wasn't sure. There were kido spells and zanpakuto - how far would the injury stem? She cursed mentally. How could she answer this question? How could she tell him that for all she knew he'd never fight again, much less cast a kido spell.
"I...I don't know," Kin said softly. "Try...try using sho. It won't hurt anything, at least - just to test it out."

She smirked at his compliment. That was great. He had wanted to make her smile. Izaya was willing to settle for a smirk at this point. It was so stressful. Frankly, you could cut the tension with a zanpaktou. What bad pun? Oh fuck you.
"You know dear, you shouldn't be so willing to accept a compliment." He offered her a smile and tried to ease the mood.
"I...I don't know," Kin said softly. "Try...try using sho. It won't hurt anything, at least - just to test it out."
Izaya nodded. He would have to work for this. He didn't use Sho often and wasn't that adept at it. However, this spell really didn't hurt anybody and probably wouldn't even push Kin back all that far. He had to sit up for this one. There was just no other way. He groaned in pain and pushed himself back with his hips. Fuck that hurt. He would have to fix those too.
"Okay. I'm going to use this on you. Please, don't get mad if I send you flying. My kido-ability is kind of renowned. Okay, not really. But, don't bust my bubble now. I'm kind of having an off-week."
He raised his arm and focused. He closed his eyes and concentrated hard.
"Eh? It's true though," Kin laughed. "You can ask Rinako-chan. She knows. I'm sure that's why she deals with me."
She removed her hands as Izaya sat up, silently cursing when she realized that his reiatsu seemed to resume its choppy flow. She smiled to Izaya nervously as he attempted to brag, knowing that whatever happened would not end well.
"Hado number one: Sho."
Kin felt a light push, but it was little more than a breeze to her. Her clothes and hair moved, but she might as well have been a mountain for all that hado did. "Let me try healing you again. Maybe I can push through a little better."
She heard a sigh somewhere in the back of her brain. Shugaka knew that it wasn't helping her to get his hopes up - wasn't helping him to get his hopes up. And Kin knew it too.
Nevertheless, she moved her hands over his chest and tried to force reiatsu through his muddled system.

Izaya saw her barely nudge. Her hair blew back and that was about it. He let out a small sigh. How did he cope with the idea that he would never be able to fight again? How did he deal with that? He didn't have an arm; he couldn't use Kido; fuck, he didn't even know where his sword was. He should ask Kin where it was.
He began to laugh nervously as his eyes met hers. Izaya gave a small smile. He really didn't know what to say. He guessed he should try to lighten the mood.
"Kin-chan, is there even the slightest possibility that you've gotten a lot heavier since I left? No, thought not. Shit."
She placed her hands over his chest and tried to begin healing him again. He knew how pointless that was. It was just a waste of her reiastu and an annoyance to him. He reached up with his left hand and tried to grab one of her hands. While calmly grabbing at her left hand (he didn't want to hurt or even startle her), he looked at her with a rather stern look.
"Kin, stop. All you're doing is wasting your reiastu and getting up whatever hopes I may have. I can't use Kido. I'm missing a fucking arm, and I don't even know where my zanpakto is. Speaking of which, do you happen to know where it is? It'd make a great fucking mantle piece."
He hadn't meant to add the bitterness at the end, but it had come out. Could she really blame him? This Celia person may have taken everything away from him. If he could, he'd get her back. He would have to. There was no way he would let that shit slide. Fuck her. He'd fucking get her. And furthermore, he'd make those bitchy fraccions of hers watch.
"Kin...what am I supposed to do now?"

Kin raised a hand as if to slap Izaya when he mentioned that she must have gotten heavier, but put it back down when he corrected himself. He grabbed onto her hand, and she looked to him.
"Kin, stop," he said sternly. Sure enough, he said exactly what she knew Shugaka wanted to say. It wasn't going to work - it was a waste of energy. He may just have to heal on his own - if that was even possible. "I'm missing a fucking arm and I don't even know where my zanpakuto is. Speaking of which, do you happen to know where it is? It'd make a great fucking mantle piece."
Kin hadn't really heard Izaya curse before, and she shifted back uncomfortably at it. She shut her eyes in some attempt to calm herself, and then she she folded her arms. She didn't really know where his zanpakuto was - it should be nearby though. It was probably on a table in the room somewhere - but having it wouldn't make him any better. She half-lied, "No, I'm not sure."
"Kin...what am I supposed to do now?"
"Right now you need to rest," she said matter-of-factly, standing up. "Listen, I've got to take care of a few things. I'll be back. I'll bring you some mochi or something, alright?"
She stepped back, and was at the curtain. "Ja ne, Izaya-kun."
She knew that she was off to get something done about that Arrancar. Even if she had to do it herself, and she had quite a few choice words for that arrancar if she ever met the woman. She smiled to Izaya, even as Shugaka protested, You're playing with fire there, Kin-chan.
I don't mind.

She didn't offer any kind of support back with her hand. He really just held it there and didn't feel anything in return. That, upset him for some reason. He was expecting some kind of comfort in that. It was illogical; he knew that. But, there was some part of him that had really wanted some kind of return from her. Damn, what was wrong with him today.
"No, I'm not sure."
"Ah, well, I'll have to talk to someone about that. Hopefully, it'll be in good shape. That'd be a nice little pick-me-up." As he talked, he slid his hand to his side. He masked his disappointment in the situation. He looked over to the curtain on his good side and frowned to himself. This wasn't good. This wasn't good at all.
"Right now you need to rest,"
He chuckled nervously and looked at her. Still trying to lighten the mood, he decided it was best that he make another attempt before she was trying to shoo him off.
"You don't have to tell me twice Kin-chan. I'm pretty sleepy."
He slid down into his bed with minimal pain to his hips. Shit, those would really have to get fixed. It was like every movement hurt him. Breathing made his ribs hurt. Sliding hurt the hips. And any kind of arm movement hurt his dislocated shoulder. Izaya didn't even know about his legs yet.
"Listen, I've got to take care of a few things. I'll be back. I'll bring you some mochi or something, alright?"
He snuggled into his bed and nodded to her. He wanted to give her the impression that he was comfortable. Which, he really wasn't. However, he rather liked the idea of her bringing him food.
"That works for me. You know, you could bring yourself something too. We could have that dinner after all."
He decided to open his eyes and look at her before she went on the other side of the curtain. Was there more to say? Yes, a little.
"Kin-chan," he said, hoping it would stop her. "Will you be here when I wake up?"
(OOC: You want to continue this thread into the night or make a new one?)
"You know," Izaya said, "You could bring yourself something too. We could have that dinner after all."
Kin didn't smile at the thought at first. She had been planning to work on her mural, but she supposed it could wait. After that moment of deliberation, she finally smiled to him. "I know. What, you thought I would sit there and just watch you eat?"
She turned to leave, took a step past the curtain and was surprised to hear him ask if she would be there when he woke up. It bothered her. She remembered the party, remembered him telling her that he...
"I don't know, baka," she teased, looking over her shoulder with a faint smile. "Will you be asleep when I get back? I'll get back in time for dinner, alright?"
With that, the small shinigami stepped past the curtain and allowed her smiling facade to fade. Now to get something done about that arrancar.
