With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

It was a little early, but Soifon arrived at the training room.
It's here she planned on Sayuri, and Kamair training so Sayuri didn't get used to only training with her captain. If she only trained with Soifon, people would talk, accusations would fly. Scandal... Headaches... to hell with that.
Yes, she felt Sayuri was a valid candidate for even Vice Captain, but she didn't want to make it look like the woman slept her way to the top, or something. She needed to keep some distance between them, and this was her plan to do it.
Of course this wasn't purely selfish. Kamair needed confidence, and this was a potential way to get it, and Sayuri could certainly use a sparring partner that didn't have to hold back so much.
He let out a sigh, slowly moving towards the division grounds. To be honest, he didn't really want to do this at all. It was like fighting against an ocean, the thought of victory was just... unfathomable. Still, it had been an order, so Kamair had to obligue.
"T-taichou!" He stuttered, not expecting to see his captain that early. He stood at attention once he had got over his initial shock, primly bowing to his captain.
After he had straightened, his eyes glanced to the side, looking over at the training grounds. It had been cleared for this particular match between himself and Sayuri.
Man, what the hell was he even thinking? Sayuri was the 5th seat for pity's sake! He wasn't even seated. The only thing that would happen to him would be that he would get his ass thoroughly handed to him. He mentally groaned.
The was going to be a painful experience.
Rolling his shoulders and neck, he began to stretch to loosen himself. Just because he was going to lose didn't mean that he wasn't going to give it his best shot.
Afterall, it had been a chance given to him by his superiors.
Sayuri arrived at the training arena, though she looked a bit... uncomfortable, and... a little down... and she looked a little different. She shifted her uniform from where she stood, and it was then it could be realized what was different about her. She was wearing the 2nd Division uniform with its shoulderless and backless gi, it seemed to she did not feel comfortable wearing it by how shifted it slightly as if attempting to adjust to it. Each time she did seemed to look a tiny bit more down.
As she seemingly distractedly pulled at her gi a little more, she bowed her head apologetically before stating timidly, "I-I'm sorry for my tardiness, I'm just not used to wearing this uniform... It took me a little while to get it on."

Soifon nodded calmly to Kamair, "Kamair," she said acknowledging him, but that was it. No pleasantries, just business for the time being.
She was glad he seemed to take this seriously as she watched him warm up a bit. She certainly hoped he had no excuses for anything.
She noticed Sayuri as she entered, and saw the change in outfit, "You didn't have to change style on my account," she said calmly, "as long as people know you are a Shinigami when on duty, your clothes are your business," which was pretty damn odd for a hard ass captain like her. Every day was sorta casual Friday.
She looked at them both as she stood on the sidelines, "When you're both ready, you may begin," she said in a calm voice that carried authority while not being harsh. It didn't carry the expectations she placed on them either, but honestly, she expected them both to be rather skilled, and potent training partners.
He sighed deeply, attempting to destress himself. He just had to treat this like any other fight. Like any other... fight. What this wasn't just any other fight, this was a fight against a seated officer. And with his captain watching!
This was like... dangling over a pit of spikes like the line breaking.
He supposed it would not have been a bad idea to faint right then, that is until he heard his Zanpakutou swearing loudly at him, he winced but silently obeyed the elder spirit.
"When you're both ready, you may begin."
He sighed again, well, he was about as ready as he would ever be. Quickly, he ran a analysis of the opponent before him. She was a seated member of his squad, one that many believed deserved a higher seat then she currently held.
The fact that some random person had come by the day before and told Soifon that was proof enough. So there was no doubt she held skill.
Though, he did have some sort of advantage due to this certain... area. She was a seated member, which meant that her abilities had been in the open ever since her rise to the seat. Those who had been observant in the heat of battle would have easily been able to tell what her abilities were.
Thankfully, Kamair was a perceptive person. Also, he never publicized the use of his Shikai, and that remained a mystery.
What he knew was this. Unlike most of the division's members that had attained Shikai, hers was elemental. It wielded the capacity of electric strikes and bolts. He had also observed that the girl's Bankai was quite similar to his own Shikai, at least in form. What it could do remained a mystery to him, as the battle had been over too quickly for him to study it.
So for now, he would have to focus on how to overcome and match her Shikai and use of Kido. Kamair was not that great in Kido; however, he did have the perceptive mind to focus and track a sour of reiastu even when he could not see it. He surmised that she would use the same trick that she had performed against the members of squad 11 in Rukongai, and cover his view. In that case he would have to have his other senses peaked.
Her shikai was another story entirely, with the ability to fight at long and short ranges. It also held the power of an elemental, which could prove to be a problem. Since he had studied this, the lowly Shinigami had decided to make a... modification to his Zanpakuto. He had laced the hit with a layer of rubber, which should he happen to be shocked on the weapon, it would slow down the jarring dramatically. It wouldn't stop the effect of the lightning, but it would dampen it, and that's what he needed.
"I'm ready as I'll ever be," Kamair said and bowed, "Sayuri-san."
Drawing his wakasahi from behind him, he got into stance, preparing his senses to do the talking for him.

The kunoichi's brow furrowed in response to Soifon's comment and shook her head as she commented, "Oh no... it's... the Onmitsukido uniform I was wearing last night... it was the last one I have...", she clarified, "Like I was saying last night... just didn't explain it all... Every time I do like you say... converge my Hakuda with my Kidou... I feel something weird... It's always when I combined a Tenran with my Hakuda palm strike... I feel a surge, and I get a small tear between my shoulder blades on my uniform..."
With a small dejected sigh she idly comments, "I don't know why that happens, I haven't figured it out... It doesn't make any sense to me... But it's destroyed all of my personal Onmitsukido uniforms... so now when training, I wear the 2nd Division uniform... N-Not that I don't like it... I'm just not used to it wearing it.", of course the girl does not know Shunko, and probably would take her decades to even come close to figuring it out, but it seemed as though she stumbled upon an iota of its results as her ability to manipulate Kidou energy is immense. The girl blinked a couple times then bowed apologetically as she said, "Forgive me, I'm babbling..."
Sayuri walked to the center the of the training arena, she did not even have her zanpakuto on her person. Her brow furrowed slightly in response to Kamair possessing his, she did not seem to mind his using it if made him more comfortable in the sparring match. She cracked her knuckles and neck before doing a couple leg, arm, and back stretches. The moment Kamair said he was ready, she bowed her head respectfully to him as she simply replied, "Hai."
As if out of no where she begun to inaudibly recite something... it was difficult to make out the words, but from the seems of it, it sounded like some kind of Kidou incantation - butthen somewhat uncharacteristic of her she uttered reciting with a powerful conviction as she thrust both hands forward at Kamair, "Hadou No. 88 Hiryugekizokushin--", but abruptly cut herself short incompleting the spell as she vanished from sight only to reappear less that second later directly in front of Kamair as she was mid-flight thrusting a knee right at his face while she said with a snicker, "Psyche...", the same trick she used on Soifon during one of their sparring sessions... seems she enjoys such trickery...

Soifon watched Kamair get ready, then turned her attention to Sayuri as she explained herself... She nodded in a simple reply to her.
Soifon understood what she meant, but was not going to tell her about it. Not yet, anyhow, then when Sayuri capped off her explanation she let out a "Hn" as she acknowledged it, and forgave Sayuri in the same motion.
Soifon watched the opening moves from Sayuri, and managed to keep a serious look on her face, "That tactic, hm? I wonder if she'll be able to use it more than once?" she thought to herself as Sayuri began the windup, then the literal punch, but she wasn't sure, at this point, if it worked. When one is faster than the eye can see, thought processes tended to require an increase in speed. Kamair might've seen through it, but, well, life's full of surprises.
She watched with a serious look on her face, and her arms crossed so her hands were hidden under the sleeves of the Captain's haori she wore.
As soon as she showed up without a blade, he arced an eyebrow and sheathed his blade, pulling his now sheathed blade out of his belt and raising it in ready stance so now, the only thing he would have to worry about is kido, that was a good sign.
He refused to draw his blade against an unarmed opponent, so he would simply make the blade useless...
He watched her lower her head, beginning to mutter inaudible words that he couldn't make out. It was obviously a kido spell, something that Kamair was almost sure that she would continue to use.
"Hadou No. 88 Hiryugekizokushin--"
She cut out, and eyes widened as the girl disappeared in that moment, flash-stepping in front of him and thrusting a knee at him. If the attack connected it was going to send him flying at the speeds and momentum she was moving at.
However, it didn't. His eyes deceptively narrowed in understand and his head blurred to the side. Her kneecap instantly meeting the hard sheath of his sword instead. It jarred his hand but he was able to push back away from her and buy himself some time.
He rubbed his wrist slightly, but eyes flashed slightly with determination.
He had seen it coming.
Why? Well it was only fitting for anyone to read lips. She hadn't really said anything at all, by what he could tell. He supposed that she was just imitating the words of the incantation without actually vocalizing it. Incantations needed to be audibly said and, even though she could have easily forgone the incantation for a weaker version of the Hadou spell, why would she go through the trouble if she didn't have a trick up her sleeve?
After having slid back a couple feet, the man flashstepped forward, appearing to her right with a kick aimed at the temple before spinning about for a sweep to the legs. Before he rose from position, power, he jammed his sword upwards, towards the mass of her form. However, he let go of the sheath as he thrust, allowing it to fly up and extend the reach of his wakizashi, in case she tried to jump back to avoid his short weapon.
Seeing the first attack coming at her from the corner of her eye, she ducked under it, but the leg sweep came swifter than expected. She attempted to backflip over it, but it still caught the ankle of one of her feet knocking her off-balance as she back-flipped through the air. But, the scabbard being thrust up at her, she as she was upside down mid-flight in the backflip while off-balance, saw planting her right hand on its end using it to regain her balance as she pushed off of it into another backflip landing in a three point stance a fair distance away.
Her brow furrowed a little looking at Kamair with a bit more regard... he did not fight like what she expected from an unseated member. Albeit, Soifon held his ability in high esteem, so she should have expected more of him in turn than she initially had. Still in her crouched position, she lay her right hand on the left plate on the back of her hand on her left light clothe gauntlet, most mistake the small plates on either gauntlet as a pittiable amount of armor, but in reality it has a far more sinister purpose. Once again with that quiet almost inaudible mumbling tone but recited in a quick pace, "Hadou No. 11 Tsuzuri Raiden...", upon lifting her hand bright yellow electic sparks surged and snapped on the small plate now charged with the Kidou spell. Laying her left hand on the small plate on the back of her right hand of her right light clothe gauntlet with the same quick paced quiet near inaudible mumble she recited once again, "Hadou No. 11 Tsuzuri Raiden...", repeating the same process as before.
Both plates charged and sparking with electric energy, she effectively turned what is mistaken by many as an offensive ability into being both offensive and defensive. If she blocks a strike with the back of her hand - electrocution, if she strikes with the back of her hand - electrocution. It may only have one charge for each as the Kidou spell is relying on the metal plates as a conductor, which is required for the spell to channel the electricity int he first place, still one charge can effective in its own right.
She extended her left hand at Kamair with her palm facing him as she once again with a quiet near inaudible mumble recited, "Hadou No. 1 Sho...", a small wave of transparent bluish energy exerted from Sayuri's left hand flying right for Kamair. But the second she launched she blurred - fading from view with a flash of speed shimmering back into sight after the Sho had likely missed him, appearing to his left side with a jump kick for the left side of his chest.
Crap, this was bad. If she were to hit the metal part of his weapon, mainly the blade, Kamair would be shocked to hell, even with the rubber entwined in the hilt of his blade. It was an incredibly neat trick, he had to say. But then again, this was the 5th seat (guessing this is before her promotion,) and he had to expect something like this.
While she was charging the plates in her hands, Kamair took the time to undo the string on his scabbard, tying it to both his hilt and scabbard. There was enough length in the rope to allow the scabbard to slide about, but not enough to let the sword come out completely. He needed to adapt, and therefore, he needed to make sure that he didn't lose his scabbard. "Hadou No. 1 Sho..."
She had went through with the spell this time, not taking him lightly anymore withe meager tricks. This was a good thing, it meant that they could size each other up efficiently. He immediately dodged to the right, narrowly avoiding the spell, only to have a kick aimed at his ribs.
Ribs are always a tricky thing in combat, and cannot be left unguarded. It's an ugly thing to deal will, but true. A good attack to the ribs can end a fight, whether it be through knocking the wind out of someone, or breaking a couple ribs.
Grunting from the effort, Kamair thrust his forearm down and to the with enough speed to make his body groan in complaint. It received the full force of the kick before Kamair spun his forearm slightly, allowing most of the force of the attack to roll off of his bones.
Without giving himself a moment to slow down, he jumped into the air, rising only a few feet before spiraling and throwing a spin-kick that was aimed at her temple. He followed through quickly with a stab of his sword, allowing the scabbard to shoot forward once again and extend the reach of his weapon, this time aiming for the hollow of her neck.
Pulling back the scabbard, he quickly landed and rolled back, not wanting to give her the reach to counter-attack.
