With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Whilst the bombs rained down upon the two Ryu too hold of Shyra's hand, healing as much as he could. He was able to heal about 75% of the wound, just enough to heal the hole, but not some of the surrounding skin. Suddenly, he heard Tommyco say the incantation for a familiar bakudo.
"I'm sorry" Ryu says, before pushing Shyra out of the way, a few feet to the left, into the cover of dust and smoke. The rods of light fire through the dust and smoke, and Ryu attempts to dodge them as best he can. Both his feet are hit by the technique, pinning them to the ground. "no, damn it" Ryu mumbles as he looks down. He attempts to pull his feet from the rods of light, then hears the incantation for Had 63 being recited.
"No, I don't have time to dodge" Ryu says to himself. "I've never tried to absorb an attack with this much energy" Ryu thinks as he places both hands forward. Tommyco launches the attack, the electricity of the blast crackling through the air, charging forward. It cuts through smoke, the yellow energy colliding with Ryu's hands pushing against him. Ryu yells out as he begins to absorb the attack, the electrical energy charging up his hands and draining into his body. The rods of light shatter from the energy being exerted and the attack forced Ryu backwards, his feet digging into the ground. He slides backwards into a group of trees as the attack ends in a small explosion, sending debris and dust into the air.
As the dust clears Ryu stands, hands still facing outward, panting, and steam rolling off his body while electricity sparks around his body. His tunic is tattered, and his blach long sleeved shirt and his black pants have a few holes in them. Ryu lowers his hands, which now are burnt badly. Ryu breaths heavily as he begins to speak, "only about 60%... guess I better note that for later" Ryu states. He can feel his body in pain, but he knew that absorbing that massive amount of electricity would revitalize his reiatsu greatly.
Staring at Tommyco Ryu straightens his posture, and cracks his neck. Breathing deeply, then exhaling, Ryu yells out, increasing his reiatsu. The yellow energy swirls around him, and whats left of the ground beneath him is upturned and broken. Inhaling deeply Ryu increases it further, the cracked pieces of ground now rising into the air, the energy swirly around Ryu now raging like a torrent, the ground shakes slightly as his power raises. Then he stops, the pieces of earth falling back to the ground, and the swirling energy vanishes, though electricity continues to spark around him.
Ignoring the pain Ryu's body is shouting at him, he uses Shunpo to flash step behind Tommyco. He then quickly places his hand inches from Tommyco's back. "Hado 33, Sokatsui". With that, a blast of white and blue energy erupts from Ryu's palm.
Tommyco smiled and said "I can tell what you are trying to do." Tommyco tryed to elbow Ryu in the gut as Ryu Shunpoed in back of him.Also when Ryu was about to shot him in the back with hadou 33 but Tommyco grabed his arm and made him fire at Shyra.
Tommyco then jumped over Ryu doing like a back flip.As he did this he grabed Ryu's head and tryed to pull Ryu down on to Tommyco's knees as he landed on the ground on his back.Tomyco then shunpoed over Shyra and did a rolling kick and shunpoed away.Tommyco then said " lets go you have to stop holding back so much.
Shyra was stunned to see what Ryu had done, he had taken the hit directly and mae sure she wasnt hit. She sat there after being pushed out of the way and looked down at her hand seeing it had almost healed up, now it just looked weird. She pulled a face at her wound but looked up sharply seeing Tommyco had changed the direction of Ryu's hado attack and was now heading for her. She widened her eyes and then jump up and made a dash off to the side to try and avoid it, she narrowling missed the blast as it just clipped her on the shoulder causing her to collapse again from the force of the blast, knocking her off balance. She tumbled to the ground awkwardly and gripped her shoulder ''Uhh...'' she moaned grinding her teeth together and then looked over by Ryu and Tommyco ''ooowww!'' she said in an emphasized way and almost sarcasticly. ''That friggin hurt..'' she sighed to herself before she felt dizzy, she slumped forwards and laid on the ground, her body felt heavy. But Tommyco had shunpoed in for a kick and surprisingly Shyra jumped up fast and held her still shikai stated weapon horizontaly, the 6 blades that made the fan were closed up, but she quickly spread them outwards and from them came a wave of bright red energy, it went for Tommyco, but he had managed to shunpo away. Shyra grumbled ''Your not suposed to move'' she smirked, joking around. Her attack hit a bunch of trees that were behind where Tommyco once was before he shunpoed away, the attack hit the trees and a mass explosion erupted obliterating the trees. ''Ohhh...i didnt mean to hurt the trees...'' she pouted, but she looked over by the guys again seeing Tommyco was telling Ryu he was holding back. Shyra made a glance at her shoulder where she had been caught, more blood, she'd run out if she kept getting hit like this. Shyra then made a quick dash towards Tommyco, shunpoing behind him and closing up her fanblade into one and made sure she frove the jaggered edge towards Tommyco's back. She then shunpoed again to appear in front of him this tiem her fan open, she clung to the long chain that hang from the fan swinging it back and forth causing the dust and dirt beneath the fan to kick up from the breeze. ''Are you holding back Tommyco?'' she smiled and then forcefully threw the fan at Tommyco and was at the ready to yank it back by the chain if it missed him.
Tommyco was still talking when shyra atacked by hiting dust into the air. When shyra threw the fan blade at him he jumped to the ground making it fly at Ryu who was standing in back of him. " toslow he yelled." Tommyco got up and bowed." how about some rest and a drink?"
Using his blade to counter the fan downward into the ground Ryu shunpos to Shyra. Looking back at Tommyco Ryu begins to speak.
"yeah, we'll take that drink" He then turns his attention back to Shyra. "hold still, I am going to heal your wounds. I causes most of them after all" Ryu says grabbing her hand, intent on healing the one there at the same time. He also places a hand on her shoulder, green energy surging over both her hand and her shoulder. Ryu could feel his own body's pain. He felt as though he was going to collapse. He had full Reiatsu, but his body had many injuries. He'd have to heal himself before he began again. As he did so Ryu began to speak.
"Is it just me or does Tommyco seem more powerful than before? I swore that we three were at the same level of power... so why are we having such a difficult time?" Ryu asks her, his eyes serious. "I think it's time I turned up the heat. To be honest... while Kaito and I were down in the caves beneath the lake, I unlocked something... something powerful and dangerous. I don't know if I can access it, much less control it. Kaito told me that he's only seen Captains access that kind of power... " Ryu says, his eyes full of determination. "What do you think? Should I attempt to access it? I haven't even attempted to train with it much... just here and there, and even then Kaito said I was using about 40% of what I used in the cave." Ryu's eyes held fear. He was afraid of what would happen if he unlocked this power. His body ached terribly as well, he felt as though he were going to collapse. Shyra could probably see that in his eyes too.
Shyra noticed Tommyco had made a jump to avoid the fan but had now gone for Ryu. Shyra grinded her teeth together and flipped her hand over and leaned using her body weight to pull the fan back towards her, Ryu had dodged anyway luckily. She managed to get the fan to change its direction and finally it came shooting back into her hands. Shyra gave a small grunt before closing up the fan and holding it to her side, the sharper edge dug into the ground. She watched Tommyco as he suggested a break and something to drink. Shyra gave a nod ''Alright...a break it is...'' she stated and then suddenly heard someone shunpo beside her and grip her hand and her shoulder.
She turned her head and looked to Ryu listening to him. She gave a small smile once he said he would finish healing her and that he had caused most of her injuries. Her brows furrowed after hearing that. ''No way...i deserved to get hit in the hand...it was a stupid desision i made...and i wasnt fast enough'' she sighed. ''But hopefully being in shikai has given me the power boost i need'' she added before looking to the reiatsu in Ryu hand as he attempted to heal her up. She noticed he seemed a little dazed, exhasted even. She went to speak up about it, and tell him to go and rest but he had started talking about how he should 'turn up the heat' she blinked a few times and then glanced to Tommyco, still hearing Ryu ask if he should use some kind of dangerous power, she quickly looked back to Ryu, she thought about it for a moment ''How dangerous?'' she said rasing an eyebrow. ''I cant have a squad member get into trouble...not when im about that is...'' she said. She could see the fear in his eyes, ''Are you....scared of this power?'' she asked. ''You need some rest...you wont be able to use something like that if you are hurting now...'' she said. ''I wouldnt want you to get hurt over it...'' she added.
"Hold on guys!" Tommyco yelled. " You don't need to do that Ryu and yes we are at about the same power level, but youguys were holding back. Also I am all out of power."Tomyco said smiling. " I almost did not get out of the way of sayra's last attack. If it hit I may have been dead right now.why do you think I said we should rest." Tommyco looked at Ryu and sayra and said "how about I teach you 2 some of my hand to hand combat moves." He grined at the 2 of them " after my power gets back to full."
"nevermind, it wasn't a good idea" Ryu says to her. "I don't want to hurt either of you" he says, his voice waivers a bit. Smiling Ryu looks to Shyra's wounds. "All better" he says, then pats her on the shoulder. As Tommyco begins to speak Ryu turns to face him. "Yeah, I need a little rest. And trust me, you don't want me to go full power. I could accidentally demolish this entire forest" Ryu states, completely serious. He smiles widely "and I really don't feel like replanting all of these trees" He laughs lightly, rubbing the back of his head.
Ryu walks past Shyra, flashing her a smile, then sits down, leaning against the tree behind the two of them. His hands begin to glow light green as he begins to heal his own wounds.
"Oh, and thank you for that ample supply of energy from your Raikoho" Ryu says smiling to Tommyco. "Sure, we can try a bit of hand to hand. I'm a little rusty in that area." Ryu states as he continue to heal himself.
Shyra looked at Tommyco a smirk appearing, ''Almost?...'' she said before nodding in agreement, it was time for a break, she was pretty run down and been hit left right and centre. She walked towards Tommyco sitting just in front of him on her knees, and looking to her now healed up hand. She looked over at Ryu ''Thanks'' she said waving her hand at him. She studied her shikai weapon a bit a frown crossing her face, she was just wondering to herself, about what kind of form Kumori would tkae if it was in bankai mode, she was just curious.
She noticed Ryu walk past her flashing a smile as he went, the blank look on Shyra's face slowly brightened but only a little. She could hear Ryu talk about how Tommyco's Raikoho had given him an energy boost. She smirked to herself bringing her knees up and resting her chin on them. But the sudden mentino of hand to hand combat trainning from Tommyco made her straighten up and pull her knees away from her chin, ''Hand to hand combat...'' she smiled ''Sounds like my kind of fight...'' she said.
Tommyco smiled and said "ok you guys I need to rest." Tommyco stared to drink and eat."how about you all eat something? When my power gets back up we can start back training."
