With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

"It was a pleasure to be of service to you," she bowed to Kyoko, "I am Yumeji Rashoujin." Turn down a reward? Never! Yumeji loved such things! Sentimental value, a keepsake! Something like that.
She looked at Renji as he spoke comforting words as she followed Kyoko calmly, "He's right. It was not your fault. Do not blame yourself," she said serenely, looking like a wise sage as she resumed her use of her Zanpakuto as a walking cane. The smooth, young skin prevented anyone from thinking that Yumeji was an old wrinkly person, though, rather a person in the prime of youth.
"There was a great loss of life today, but we should be grateful for those who survived," she said in a warm, wise tone as she attempted to offer cheer.
Meanwhile Eiko continued to diligently heal the two bodyguards, not bothering to speak, or even turn away from her duties.
She didn't look thoroughly happy as she was certain she wasn't seeing all the casualties, but she was glad for people to heal. The two bodyguards were taking time, but they'd certainly pull through at this point.
Those comforting words fell to deaf ears as Kyoko continued to stare at a badly injured Kenichi and Junichi. And that wasn't all, there were other bodies scattered on the ground, some moving--some not. Kyoko doubted that either of these people could understand the pain she felt knowing that so many lives were lost for her sake. She never asked for any of this, to be born to a noble family, constantly watched over and protected.
"Kyoko Natsume," She introduced herself in her usual quiet melancholic tone but then became distracted once she caught a glimpse of the glistening object in the tattooed man's hand. "What's that?"
Upon playing around with the pendent he has found in the dirt Renji heard the introductions and the question asked to him. "Wha this?" He holds it out in front of him with his right hand. Dingling on the chain the jewel center of the pendant begins to shine a lovely red color.
"Found it on the ground." Renji answers her. "By the way, Renji Abarai," he introduce himself. Turing back to the pendant he asks Kyoko, "yours?"

Yumeji couldn't help but be a little jealous that Renji found the pendant that got so much attention from Kyoko, but she was glad for the woman's happiness. She watched them interact a bit, but honestly, could do little more than stand abut playing watch dog. She wasn't much of a healer, after all.
Eiko sighed, then spoke up, finally... "It's my Nature..." she said, mostly to herself, then entered Shikai. Her body bronzed over as a thin layer of metal second skin overcame her, and her long rope tail coated with metal. "Chikara...Onegai...arigatou!" she said then bathed the wounded in a 20ft radius in a healing column of light, which sped up the healing of the bodyguards, and survivors.
"Are there anymore wounded?" she asked softly, and humbly as this wasn't her office, and there were many witnesses, so her usual bedside manner wasn't in her best interest.
"No, it isn't mine," She shook her head sadly, wondering how something so lovely ended up amidst all this carnage. Perhaps it was a sign? "It's really beautiful. You're very lucky to have found it, Abarai-san." She offered him a faint smile and then turned her attention to the healer, who was giving quite the impressive demonstration of her abilities. Yes, Junichi and Kenichi were defintely in good hands, which is why Kyoko didn't go to them just yet. She would probably just get in the woman's way and that's the last thing she wanted to do.
She was shaken from her depressing thoughts at the sound of the healer's voice, inquiring if anyone else was injured. Idly, she ran her fingertips along the gash in her forehead, wincing slightly. It was sore but probably nothing to be worried about, aside from the scar it would leave behind. And besides, instead of feeling sorry for herself she should really be more concerned for the well-being of her two Shinigami rescuers (one who's gender she still wasn't certain of). "Are you two alright? Abarai-san? Rashoujin-san?"
Renji’s sight starts to become fuzzy. A mixture crimson red and violet blur his vision. He hearing became really slow as he can barely see the lip of Kyoko moving. Wha…what’s going on? For some unknown reason Renji can’t feel his body nor can he even speak, but he still have full control of his brain.
Suddenly his inside begins to burn up. Down to one knee he begins to cough uncontrollably. He heart begins to race and he can feel his body breaking down. The pendant he had clutch in his hand, without his control he puts it around his neck as he rose back to his feet. Losing all control of his body Renji draws out his Zanpakutô and went to shikai.
Stretching and swinging Zabimaru around wildly his body has begins to act on its own without any his control. What’s happening to me…? He can feel control over his brain quickly slipping away as well.
The pendant around Renji’s neck begins to shines brightly that the light is irritating to look at. His entire body, now glowing a bright red color; he eyes blasting out an even brighter silver color light.
Roaring, an intense surge of energy (not his) begins coursing out of his body and blowing away tree branches, dirt and rocks as well as the corpses and anyone else who can’t endure the pressure.
(OOC: the pendant was left behind after the hollow was beaten and now Renji can be call possessed. Only way to stop him is by either 1) kill him or 2) a miracle kiss )

Yumejo nodded softly to Kyoko, "Yes, I'm well," She said, then bowed softly even though she ached from some of the blows she took, but she wasn't going to appear unheroic.
Yumeji smiled at Kyoko warmly, "Your concern is most appreciated," she said in good nature, and warmth.
She turned to look at Renji confused at the red glow. She gripped her Zanpakuto ready to attack, but she held back until she was sure of what was going on. She felt the immense pressure, but held her ground.
She moved to protect Kyoko from the flying debris, though she could do little about the spiritual pressure.
Eiko let out a yelp, but used her healing column to protect the people she were healing, and herself as best she could, "That pressure's immense!!"

Kyoko was brought to her knees by the enormous spiritual pressure emitting from the redhead. She had never been exposed to anything like that before! It felt as though someone was squeezing her insides, suffocating her. She gasped for breath, unable to move as he swung his segmented blade wildly, missing her a few times by just a fraction of an inch. Her first thought was that perhaps the tattooed Shinigami had gone completely mad, but then she remembered that strange light she just saw. Did that maybe have something to do with Abarai-san's sudden and strange behavior? And yet again, Rashoujin-san was protecting her so valiantly, while Kyoko could do nothing, as usual.
At any rate, someone would no doubt be injured or perhaps even killed if someone didn't stop the crazed man soon. Kyoko's thoughts soon turned to Kenichi, Junichi, Rashoujin-san, and everyone else that had risked their lives to save her. She couldn't let it end like this...she couldn't just sit back and allow anyone else to get hurt. 'I can do this...', She encouraged herself internally, and now was struggling to rise to her feet. 'I'm not useless![/b]'[/color] Her large brown eyes flashed with determination. It was now or never!
Finally able to stand, Kyoko made her way over to Abarai. It was difficult, trying to maneuver in such immense spiritual pressure could be compared to going against the relentless winds of a hurricane. It was a risky move and perhaps even a stupid one to approach someone who was obviously out of his mind. But it was the only thing she could think of at the spur of the moment.
(ooc: *Dramatic Background Music* lulz)
She threw her arms around the taller man's waist, crushing her tiny frame against his in a last ditch effort to subdue him, knowing full well that he could easily cut her down at any time. Nonetheless, if that meant protecting the people around her and protecting this man from himself, then so be it.
The string tying Renji’s hair back, now snaps, his long red hair now waiving in the air.
Having loss all control of both his body and mind now Renji can do nothing more, but stare as this young girl tries to throw her life away for his own. His visual slowly starts to slip away as well. Soon the pendant will have full control of him.
The pendant begins to create a barrier pushing Kyoko away from him. Then forcing Renji’s body, it stabs Kyoko with Renji’s blade. A flash of green light emerges and swallows both her and Renji.
(Kyoko is now inside another dimension of floating space. Renji’s body is seen hanging in the air unconscious. A bright red light surrounds him preventing weak willed people from touching him )

"... well, fuck," Yumeji watched them disappear, then she sent one of the recovered Shinigami that accompanied Renji to make a report of this while she maintained the security of the area.
She walked over, curiously to the smoking ground that remained where the captain, and Kyoko were, "I hope they're okay..."
Eiko frowned as she saw the sight, but then resumed healing the people in the area. They took priority now.
