With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
The moon shone on Karakura town, bathing it in a silver light. The sounds of night could be heard everywhere. Crickets chirping, stray cats rummaging through trash cans, a distant care driving along a lonely road.
Keikoku let out a sigh. "It's such a beautiful sight... I 'd hate for anything ugly to ruin it..."
He stood on the roof af a tall building, looking down on the town. A gentle breeze caressed him, gently blowing a bit of hair into his face. He absent-mindedly brushed the hair from his face. He placed a hand on the hilt of his zanpkuto and jumped to another roof, keeping an eye out for any hollows, particularly the one he was trying to find.
A large hollow came flying passed and eventually hit its back on the ground, followed by the sound of someone running and fast.
Behind the hollow stood a female Shinigami, she was fairly tall, mid lenghted silvery hair and her zanpakuto clutched in her right hand. She watched the hollow as it made a screech trying to turn itself back over onto its front, but it was struggling because of its sheer size. She didnt expect the hollow to move anywhere and anytime soon so she relaxed some more breathing outwards, almost sighing at the hollow.
She had suddenly sensed another reiatsu around, she flicked her eyes up to a roof of a building seeing a figure. She pouted a little before sharply looking back to to see the hollow was now almost up on its feet. She jolted her body back a little and moved her arm in front of her lifting her zanpakuto once more, her stance defensive. She grinned ever so slightly to the hollow. ''You took your time'' she muttered before racing forwards again. The hollow was all too quickly severed through the middle and before it knew anything, it was already disappearing into the air.
The cold wind of a clear night blew through Tenshoku's hair as he walked along the deserted streets of Karakura town. It was two o clock in the morning, and nothing was around. Well, almost nothing. Their was Tenshoku, whom was their for reasons unknown to him, deep down inside, and then their were the hollows. Tonight, the streets were reaking with the eerie stench of the hollow race. Tenshoku could not only sense them as we walked along, letting the cold wind blow through his jacket. He could hear them. This could only mean one thing, that the Hollows had to be close.
Tenshoku walked at the same paced that he walked along at before. There was no need to waste his energy into running to battle. That was an idiotic move in Tenshoku's mind, although he did pick up a bit of a quicker pace as he neared the baseball field. Tenshoku went into a small flashback. He rmembered playing here as a kid, but he never played baseball. He just played around with one of the only friends he had. He was the only kid who really shared any kind of personality with him, and Tenshoku couldn't really socialize with anyone else.
Tenshoku shook his head, shaking the flash back off. He continued walking forward, keeping one hand on his zanpaktou behind his overcoat flap, and the other hand lain out down his hip. He was ready, although he didn't quite appear so. He ducked down and entered a gaping hole in the fence, that had been there since he was little. He tried to go back to old days in his mind, but he couldn't. For, their right in front of him, he saw a female shinigami, as well as a defeated hollow. And what was worse, another hollow charging right towards her. The question of saving the shinigami went through his mind. Who did he hate more: Shinigami, or hollow?
Tenshoku quickly made up his mind, desciding that he couldn't let the shinigami be defeated like this. He wasn't very good with the shunpo ability at all, but he knew how to use itnonetheless. He flash-stepped right infront of the charging hollow, then slashed it's stomach as it charged passed. Tenshoku stood their, still, with his blade extended out to the right of him. The hollow fell, and stopped sliding right next to the shinigami's feet. He looked towards the shinigami, and studied her attitude. It made Tenshoku think of the old days, when he was a shinigami. He stood their, facing the female shinigami with an awkward silence amognst them.
Tenshoku's inner hollow scratched at his very soul. Inside his own head, Tenshoku could hear the evil laugh of a high pitched women. A diabolical hollow. "Kill her! What are you waiting for?! You are of higher power then she! What are you doing?!?!" Tenshoku cringed. "No..." he tried to tell himself. If he allowed his hollow to take over... things would get bad. He had to fight it.

Keikoku looked down at the two below. He could reognize one as a Shinigami, but the other one was different. The other one's reiatsu seemed somewhat erratic, rising and falling constantly. In a flash, he drew his zanpakuto and slashed behind himself. The blade peirced the mask of a snake-like hollow that had tried to sneak up behind him. The hollow let out a screech as it disappeared into nothingness.
"Well, no luck in finding my target so far..." Keikoku commented to himself. "I'll stay here for a bit and keep an eye on that strange reiatsu."
Keikoku sheathed his zanpakuto and sat down cross-legged on the roof. He looked up at the sky, the silver moon still caressing the earth with a silver veil of light. He returned his gaze to the female shinigami and the unidentified reiatsu.
Shyra seemed to just look at the hollow that had be slayed by her hand, an almost unimpressed look on her face. She gave a quick sigh before lifting her head up more, another reiatsu! but this one was different, it was chaotic even. Shyra quickly noted that the holder of this stange reiatsu had appeared, and behind her she sharply turned her head to glance over her shoulder, letting her eyes fall onto the male, just what was he though? She suddenly came to realize of the hollow that was now charging at her from in front, but for a reason unknown, this guy jumped out in front of her.
She'd admit he had talent, but only would she admit that in her mind, what she could say was different. Shyra was still clutching onto the hilt of her zanpakutou looking to the male who had defeated the hollow and now facing her and not saying anything, making an awful silence. Shyra turned her gaze off to the side away from him grunting a little ''There was no need to...'' she began but she was cut off as he spoke up as if he was telling himself off. Shyra moved her eyes back onto him, a frown crossing her face. ''Excuse me?'' she said raising an eyebrow in confusion.
She was still aware of the person still up on the roof of the building, though she wasnt sure why he was hanging around, like he was waiting for something or someone.
Tenshoku grabbed hold of his head from both sides, closing his eyes tightly for a moment. "Shut up..." he told himself. "Just, shut up." Tenshoku's inner hollow was furious that he had helped the likes of a shinigami. Maybe she didn't rmemeber, but Tenshoku himself had once been a very succesful shinigami, until he had killed her. Maybe this was her way of haunting him in return. The inner hollow seemed to understand, that now was not the time for bickering. A few moments of silence inside himself. A few moments a awkward silence between him and the shinigami.
"Excuse me?"
Tenshoku snapped back into outside world, letting his hands fall down. he brought his head up, to face the shinigami and try to give a warm smile. He had heard her talk about how uneeded it was for his will to save her. It was polite, but unnescasary to say so. "You see? Atleast SHE agrees with me." Tenshoku's smile faded a bit, then returned to normal, like he would let the words of his inner hollow slide just this once.
"I'm sorry, I truly felt that I had too in the situation. I could understand that you might have wanted to destroy him yourself, but you looked to be in danger," he said abruptly.
Tenshoku extended his hand forward, reaching out to the shinigami after he had quickly sheathed his blade again. "My name is Tenshoku Taiyou, it's good to meet you," he said.
Up on a nearby rooftop, he could feel another reiatsu. A shinigami, watching him.

What is wrong with that boy? Keikoku wondered as the vaizard struggled within himself. Well, I suppose that I shouldn't just stand around... that hollow could be anywhere... I better keep searching.
He was about to jump to the next rooftop when he heard something in the distance behind him. It was a roar. He turned his head instantly to see the black sillouette of his target hollow along the horizon. The monster was headed towards a small park. Keikoku squinted at one of the park benches and saw a couple of humans who appeared to be on some sort of date. He took off in that direction, keeping a hand on his zanpakuto for a quick draw.
Shyra watched him as he seem to be telling himself to'shut up', she grew more suspicious, then it hit Shyra, what he was, what race he was, the way he was talking reminded her of the Subsitute Shinigami, she of his inner hollow, this was the same, he was a vaizard. She kept her eyes on him seeing his hands fall to the sides of him and smiling at her. She just looked blankly to him before he spoke up. She blinked a few times after hearing his apology for saving her. That didnt seem right somehow. She shook her head a little ''No no, its ok...its not something im used to....'' she told him. It was a strange and new thing for her, all through her life she had relied on herself and nothing but herself. If ever she was in trouble or at risk she was always the one to make sure she survived, as well as protecting those seated officers below her as well as her Captain, she would of course lay down her life for his it was what seated officers did.
She looked to him as he introduced himself, and had extended his hand, she looked to his hand and then back up to him. The corners of her mouth curved up a little into a small smile as she outstretched her hand to shake his. ''Shyra Ailyn 4th seat of the 10th Division...'' she said to him. Shyra opened her mouth ready to say something else to Tenshoku, maybe something about his inner hollow, but her attention was caught back over and up to the shadowy figure up on the roof, immediatly after hearing the sound of a hollow. Her smile was replaced with a frown. ''Hollow...again'' she muttered before walking past Tenshoku and rushing forwards, she was curious as to why this figure had just decided to attack a hollow now and not before, something was up, and it was her job to make sure hollow werent around.
This seemed to be a very independent shinigami. Well, atleast one who knew how to protect herself. Tenshoku was hearing a bit more about her life as a shinigami. She had been a fourth seat amongst the tenth division. Interesting. Tenshoku began wondering what it was like in the other divisions, besides the one that he was in. He barely socialized, or even made contact with the other shinigami. Now he had. Having only lately been accepted into the vaizards, noone really talked to him much. Noone talked to, 'the new kid'. Atleast he was socializing now. As he was about to reply to the one her called herself Shyra Ailyn, he heard a loud "ROAAAWWWWrr!", as well as a large burst of energy. He could tell that his shinigami freind had senses the same thing. More hollows. A few of them this time. Although he knew that Shyra, and the shinigami who was watching them, would be able to handle it, he was bred. He needed to do something, and this was the most fun he'd had since being accepted into the vaizards.
He ran along as fast as he could, knowing that the shinigami was either fast enough to catch up, or fast enough to be ahead of him by now. But, what Tenshoku made up in his secondary skills, like swordsmanship, the shunpo, hand to hand combat, he made up for in speed and stamina. No matter how far away this monster hollows were, he'd be able to catch them within an amount of time, and still have enough energy to fight them. As he neared, he counted the hollows with his index finger. 1....3...4......6... six hollows, he thought, scanning over them again. Tenshoku knew how this would play out.
He stopped on a roof, over-looking the park which held 6 moaning hollow. Something was up here. Six hollow in one place? Tenshoku could feel a cold, eerie breeze as he stood atop the roof. "Well," Tenshoku began, without even checking if the shinigami were behind him. "I guess it's two for one. Good luck," he then unsheathed his blade, once again. Figuring that this would be the most fun that he'd have in a while, he descided that unleashing his shikai would be a good idea. Vaizards had no rule against it, and at the moment, it sounded like a great idea.
Tenshoku unleashed his blade, and got into a stance. It was an average samurai stance, two hands on the blade, the blade's tip facing up and forward. Releasing a bit of his own spiritual energy, he began to call out to his blade..."Crystallize, Dimnetta."Only what seemed like a milisecond later, the blade of his hilt woke with a crash. Four diamond crystal had grown in along the base of the hilt. CRASH. Three more grew amongst the four large diamond crytals. CRASH. Two more. And finally, one pointed diamond crystal shown at the very top, amongst the two diamond crystals below it. The diamonds of his zanpaktou grew out to be around four feet and six inches. Bits and pieces of broken diamond fell to the floor. Lucky humans.
Tenshoku had no time to be fascinated with himself, for he noticed an ominous red glow, not to far away actually. Cero. Tenshoku immediately fell to the floor and dug his blade into the ground. As the Cero drew nearer from the hollows mouth, a large diamond shield came up from the ground. Tenshoku had used the earth, diamond eing a sub-element of the earth, two crystallize and form a diamond shield. The cero blasted against the shields walls, but Tenshoku knew what would happen soon. He jumped over, and on top of his shield. Just as he did, a big hole had blasted through the shield and where he once stood. Only supernatural things like cero could destroy the hardest substance on earth.
Now, one of the hollows charged at him. Tenshoku thought it was stupid. Was he going to try and charge through the diamond? No. He realized what he was gonna do. He would try and jump to get Tenshoku. Well, the vaizard knew what to do. As soon as the hollow jumped, Tenshoku jumped as high as he could to get on top of the hollow's head. The agile hollow jumped about 30 meters from the ground. How? tenshoku didnt know, he just did. It was a quick movement, so the hollow had no time to do anything about this next attack. When Tenshoku got to a height he appreciated, he slit the Hollows throat, in one, good, vulgar movement of his sword. The hollow collapsed under Tenshoku's feet, and right then, he jumped. The shorter hollow was gone. He fell to the floor in a crumples heep. Tenshoku was high enough in the air now. He used his reiatsu to stand in the air, a vice captain level technique, that he was able to use due to his history. His zanpaktou was over his head, like a spartan. The move was beginning. Tenshoku was releasing his spiritual energy into it. This made the crystals form around his blade, until it formed into the shape of a large pine cone. This pine cone was only slighlty bigger then a crumpled up car. The vaizard swung his blade down letting the large crystal formation fly down at the other hollow. As it hit, the hollow fell over, toppling some of the trees by the park. Tenshoku hovered down safely and went to see if his shinigami comrades needed any assistance.
Keikoku had a look of disgust on his face as he came to the hollows. Seven? It was almost too absurd to believe.
"All of these ugly things in one place," Keikoku said, revolted. He drew his zanpakuto and then commanded, "Vine! Rozemaru!"
The sword became a rapier, the blade of which was covered in barbs. Keikoku jumped into the air and slashed downward towards a hollow, his blade extending to reach the monster. The barbs stuck into the mask of the hollow. Keikoku pulled his zanpakuto downwards to split the mask and destroy the hollow. He felt the unknown reaitsu approaching the park. He didn't bother to turn his head and look, knowing it would be to dangerous with this many hollows. His gaze fell on the next hollow, the one he had originally been trying to find, keeping the remaining hollows in his periferal vision. It had six arms, which it walked upon while it kept it's scrawny legs in the air. It had gray, blotchy skin and a mask that had pendages that esembled a spider's jaws. It was possibly the most repulsive thing Keikoku had ever seen.
The strange Reiatsu was here now, and it wasn't too long before Keikoku heard the words "Crystalize, Dimnetta."
A release command for a Zanpakuto? But I've never felt a reiatsu like his among any shinigami before... it's so inconstant and erratic... Is it possible that he could be a vaizard? No... why would he be helping a shinigami if he was a vaizard? It just dosn't add up... thought Keikoku.
Keikoku shot his blade toward his target hollow. The hollow managed to dodge the attack, surprisingly fast. It then came up from behind Keikoku and opened its mouth to try and engulf him. Keikoku jumped out of the way and shot his blade into one of the hollow's hands, pinning it into the ground. Then, the hollow spoke.
"Foolish little shinigami, do you know how many of your kind I have killed?" it taunted. "Why, tonight alone I've killed three."
"What a coincedence, I've killed countless numbers of you ugly hollows." Keikoku said back smoothly. "Ibari Nigiri!"
The blade of Keikoku's zanpakuto shotdeeper into the ground before emerging next to the hand, wrapping itself around the arm. The hollow struggled to break free, but it was too late. The arm was trapped and the barbs of the blade had extended, digging into the arm of the hollow. Keikoku pulled his zanpakuto back with a rip, tearing off the hollow's mangled arm. The hollow let out a roar and opened it's mouth, a red glow forming inside. Keikoku didn't let a moment pass before he appeared directly above the hollow. He shot his blade down into the mask of the hollow before it could release it's Cero.
"Now it seems as though we're tied. I have killed three of your kind tonight as well."
He glanced quickly at the stranger with the zanpakuto to see how he was holding up. Keikoku saw him standing on air with a very interesting release and was very impressed.
Whoever he is, he has quite a bit of talent to use such an advanced skill.
