With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"Feh. What's the matter, Goro-goro, can't take the heat?" Samuii said, using the new name she came up with on the spot. Goro-goro sounded so much nicer than Daigoro, anyway. Well, to her.
"Besides, with-" as she spoke, dark clouds appeared, covering the sun. Samuii sat up, looking at the spot where the sun once was, but was now covered with thick clouds. "Oh, sonova-"
But the torment wasn't over. Samuii felt small droplets landing on her arms. Looking up once again, she was met with a bucket of rain dumped onto her.
"Oh HELL no." She cried as the rain fell, causing the sand to stick to her clothing. Samuii felt her anger and reiatsu rising sharply. This was NOT how she wanted her vacation.
Daigoro put his hand out, and caught a couple of drops on it, before the heavens opened and the rain began to pour down. He sighed, and turned to Samuii.
Goro-goro? Whatever... He smiled slighty, and drew his zanpakuto.
"I don't know if this will work. As far as I know, it can only do this to spirit particles. Hey, if all else fails, you can always use a cero or something..." He laughed softly, and then flicked his zanpakuto down by his side.
"Sharpen, Kiba Ookami." He smiled, and drew his hand down the blade, causing it to glow red-and-white. He swung it down with all of his might, and sent a crescent of Reiatsu towards the clouds, which was simply 'eaten' and never seen again. Daigoro sighed, and re-sealed his zanpakuto.
Samuii glared at the shinigami. "'The freaking hell was that?" she asked, obviously irritated. Not only did the rain clouds ruin the day...
But she'd also have to re-straighten her hair. Not that she cared about her hair...a lot...
She began to charge a cero, the teal energy gathering in front of her mouth. With a scream, a huge blast ripped through the sky, blasting a hole in the clouds. But, as soon as the Cero dissapated, the hole disappeared.
"The hell...?"
And still, the rain continued to fall. And Samuii was getting even more pissed. She turned to the Shinigami. "What the hell is going on?"
But as the rain continued, a hollow came out of nowhere. Unsheathing her sword, Samuii began to hack and slash at it. "'FRIGGING HELL HAPPENED TO MY VACATION?" she screamed as more hollows appeared.
Daigoro blinked as the one Hollow appeared. He thought that it was kinda wierd, but not unusual. He turned around, noticing more sources of Reiatsu appearing nearby. He grimaced, and that was when they came out of nowhere. Five more Hollows had appeared, surrounding them. He then sighed, and pointed his zanpakuto at one.
"Crap. Alright, now my vacation's ruined as well!" He stood up straighter, and brought his zanpakuto around into his usual inverted grip. He flash-stepped directly towards the first Hollow that he saw. He swung his right arm straight up, and sliced directly through the Hollow's mask, splitting it in two. As each half of the Hollow disappeared into thin air, he grinned and turned towards the next one. This one was slightly larger than the first, and Daigoro went through it too.
He sighed, and two more appeared to replace the first ones again. What the hell? They're just coming out of nowhere! Why is this happening? He looked around, eyeing each creature as it eyed him back. He turned to the Arrancar.
"Any idea how we're gonna get out of this? I have ONE, but it's risky..."
Samuii slashed through another Hollow, one that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Or maybe she just wasn't paying attention.
Either way, she wasn't going to let anything ruin her vacay. She spent months and months cooped up in Hueco Mundo, and ther was no way in hell she was going to spend her time on the beach with the things she wanted to keep away from.
Two more hollows appeared, one on either side. She sonidoed to one, made a vertical slash, and to the other one, a horizontal slash. The two disintegrated into nothingness.
Turning her head, she saw Daigoro doing the same. Well, at least she wasn't the only one with a ruined vacation. She saw him turning to her.
"Why are you looking at me for?" she asked, even before he spoke. "It's not my fault."
She heard him telling her something about a plan.
"Well, why didn't you say so?" she snapped. It wasn't really fair for her to snap at him, after all, his vacation was also ruined. But she just needed to lash out at someone, and he was the only one available to lash at. "I'm in, as long as this ends soon. I. Frigging. Swear. If this doesn't end soon, I think I'm going to kill something."
Daigoro grinned, and kept back-to-back with Samuii. He shifted his right foot slightly, and brought his right arm out to his side. He began to focus his Reiatsu down that arm, and into the tattoo on the back of his right hand. This appeared like white lightning.
"Alright. What I'm about to do, may not work. It may, if done wrong, kill me. Again. Remember that attack I did to the cloud? Well I'm about to do it to these Hollows. If all goes well, I should be able to get three or four kills in before I need to stop and recuperate. Destroying the bonds between both reiatsu and spiritrons takes it out of me fast, thankfully these guys are quite weak. That's where you come in. The moment I go down, do whatever you can to take out as many Hollows as you can. Use your Resurrection, if it'll help at all. Just until I'm back on my feet, alright?" He nodded, and kept the Reiatsu flowing until the tattoo glowed, then shattered.
As soon as that tattoo shattered, tribal-style tattoos spawned and flowed up his arm. As soon as the last tattoo reached his face and curled around his right eye, his reiatsu increased largely. He smiled, and ran his hand down the blade like he did before, causing it to glow. As soon as he'd done that, he swung it around in a huge arc, creating a square-ended crescent that sprawled out and collided with about four Hollows. Daigoro still had to maintain the strength from where he was, and for a good few seconds, he struggled until the Hollows' masks were cut, and four Hollows disappeared.
Daigoro grunted, and went down onto one knee. That took more out of him that he thought it would. He made a mental note to not try do more than three Hollows, and waited for his strength to come back, keeping one eye on Samuii, the rain partially blurring his vision.
The rain continued to pour. Samuii grunted as she listened to Daigoro's plan. Destroying bonds between reiatsu and spiritrons? Was that even possible? She noticed a weird tattoo on his hand begin to glow. It must've been some sort of seal...or something. Wait, did he say something about dying...'again'? And why was she working together with a Shinigami? This was so unlike her. What happened to 'as long as it's not me'?
And then, she remembered her ruined vacation, and snapped back to reality.
"Fine. But if this doesn't work, then I'll kill you."
As Daigoro did...whatever he was doing, Samuii began to gather her energy. She wasn't going to let a Shinigami take all the glory. She peeked behind her as the Shinigami swung his sword, causing some sort of energy that hit four hollows...out of the thirteen that surrounded the area. A few seconds passed, the four disintegrated, and he was on his knees. He didn't know what the hell he was doing, but it certainly seemed very powerful.
"Oh, then I guess it's my turn," Samuii said, holding her sword out. "Drip, Toque Del Corazon," She released her Ressurecion, transforming her into her native Aztec appearance, complete with an extra two feet of hair and a macuahuitl. She swung the club, the blades popping out. "El Rayo," she said as she swung the weapon. The ten blades spun as they flew in all directions, striking each of the remaining hollows in the middle of their masks. As they disintegrated, the clouds slowly parted, the rain stopped, and a single ray of sun peeked through the clouds.
"Well about time" Samuii huffed as she re-sealed her sword. Looking down, she saw her jacket damp and covered with sand, and her scarf half buried in a small puddle. She frowned. "That's going to take years to get out..."
Samuii then remembered that Daigoro was still alive. She turned to the Shinigami. "You all right there?"
Daigoro grimaced, and was on one knee. He'd taken worse knocks than this, but not because of his own power. He shuddered, and allowed his zanpakuto to take back his strength and seal it, the tattoos crawling back from his face and into the wolf on the back of his hand again. He sighed, and slowly stood up. He brought his hand up, inspecting the back of it, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm fine. Just remind me to... never do that again. Ever. I don't think that I'd be able to survive it... Thanks for at least working with me." He sighed again, looking around, and then up. It appeared that the sun had come back. For now. He smiled wearily, and then looked at Samuii.
"We may as well keep with this vacation. It's not like it could get any wor-" Daigoro stopped himself before he finished that sentence, just in case he jinxed himself.
"Fine? You look ass-beat to me. But if you faint, I'm not going to carry you."
She looked around. The beachgoers were oblivious to what just occured. Hell, if it wasn't for her (and some help from Goro-goro), they would've been hollow food by now. It pissed her off that she continued to save their asses, but got no recognition for it. She almost wondered why she was doing it in the first place.
"Feh. You look like you need a Churro. But I'm not going to buy you one." she said. Her eyes narrowed as he almost said 'couldn't get any worse'. "I swear to Tezcatlipoca that I'm going to sacrifice you."
The sand was still damp, but she stopped caring. Lying down, she looked at the suddenly sunny skies. "Humans. I don't know why I even bother."
Daigoro grinned. He then decided to sit down, cross legged. If anything, this was a confidence-breaker. But... he never had much confidence to begin with. So he simply decided to take in the sights. And there were some sights to be seen. Except for the humans, who seemed as ignorant as ever. He sighed and fell backwards onto the wet sand. Water never bothered him.
He yawned, and looked over at the Arrancar.
"You bother, because you yourself were once human. Even if that was a long time ago, you were once one of them. And you can't deny it. They may be ignorant idiots, but they still make up a part of us."
Great, I'm trying to get philosophical now? Get it together, Dai.
