With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
(OOC: Since aeg has left the site and i have an admin approval Leocha will be godmoded out of the thread. Sorry Wicked I know you wanted to do that but you had my last fraccion. ^^)
More espada began to show up. First was Ulquiorra, Nnoitra grinned more competition had come to play eh? Next to show up was Hallibel. Ah there was the other bitch. They both thought they were better than him. He knew it. How dare they have power than he, he was Nnoitra the strongest of the espada, In his opinion. Even worse one of them was female. Women weren't strong and they couldn't have power, so why was she ranked higher than him? To male matters worse his fraccion was losing. What an idiot, no wonder people looked down on him with useless fraccion representing him. He even had the gull to stop pursuing the damn female. He walked up behind Leocha.
Flipping his useless fraccion around he sent his straightened hand through his chest. He slowy raised his fraccion high above his head. Looking up at him he coldly said "You are too weak." With that he opened his mouth revealing his tongue and the five blatantly tatooed to his tongue. A yellow cero made a hissing sound as it charged and when released took the image of Leocha with it. After the yellow cleared, all that fell was the bottom half of Leochas body. The rest of him seemed to have completely disappeared. Nnoitra shrugged. This only proved his point besides its not like he had been his fraccion for long. He looked out at the crowd. "Now where were we," he said his toothy grin plan on his face, he felt no remorse for the loss of his fraccion. After all, he was no Tesla.
Jericho felt more powerful reiastu enter the battle field and also felt the disappearance of Leocha's reiastu. So Nnoitra had done it. This made Jericho smile. "Yes it seems it will," he said still smiling. With the addition of two more espada it was bound to be that way. Thats when Jerich realized something. "Switch out? You mean like before? But thats when your at your isn't," Jericho asked his grin dissipating for a second and than reappearing just as quickly. He didn't know much about that part of Dai except that he liked. It reminded him of well... himself. The pure love of combat. Oh how fun that was back in the park, except for that damn vizard intervening and Dai leaving suddenly, it was a rather fun time.
"What do you say, Shall we join in on the fun? Or, are you too scared of switching out and having a nice blood frenzied bliss, or is there something else," he said staring at Dai with a rather amused look on his face. Oh how they would make a heck of a team, but there promise to help one another had the sub clause of them having to help there own organizations, which was fine with Jericho, after all he did prefer to fight one on one anyhow. It didn't really matter what Dai wanted to do, Jericho was content with hanging out with his best friend.
Kazuma Darkside had felt spiritual pressures begin to gather. He would have been there sooner if his car hadn't been stolen... again. How many times did that make it this year alone? He didn't have the funds or the job to constantly keep buying more. Turned out after the third car the insurance company wasn't too trusting at that point. Oh well, live and learn he supposed. Maybe he should invest in a bike or security system. Nevertheless he made his way to the area jogging and running most of the way. He was breathing heavily when he turn the corner. THUD! A kid randomly ran into him as he came out of the ally. Though this wasn't enough to make Kazuma fall he did stumble slightly. "Whoa kid whats with the rush," he asked though he probably already had the answer.
Studying the reiastus he had never felt so many in strong ones in one place before. He didn't even know if some where too overshadowed by the larger ones to even register with him. What was going on? No wonder the kid was trying to get away. Though that must have meant he was spiritually aware. Kazuma had only met two people like him before a rather shy fellow and Mikhail. He wondered how those two were doing right now and hoped they weren't in danger or worse amongst the reiastus up ahead. "Hey kid would you like to stick with me causes it looks like were gonna need each other to get through the night," he said smiling slightly, why was he smiling he had no idea but maybe the kid would be more trusting of him because of it.
Out of the senkaimon came two shinigami well... one shinigami and a vizard. The shinigami was Vergil Akuma the 4th seat of the 13th division. He had been called along with most of the Gotei Thirteen. He didn't know what quite for until now. Looking over the town there were manyopponents here and a few other high reiastus out in the distance this was surely gonna be one hell of a day. The vizard was Karite Saiketsu the 20th seat of 11th division. Why was he here? Pfft what else? He was part of 11th squad for a reason. He scanned over the eventual battlefield feeling many possible targets near by. Today was gonna be fun. He thought as he grinned to himself.
Dante Tennin another vizard had been near by but kept his distance and hid his reiastu. He would rather not fight if he could but at least he could keep tabs and help out if anyone needed it. For now he just waited biding his time. Besides better to wait and study your opponent rather than just charging in right?
"Switching out. It's a term I use to describe what happens when any of my emotions go out of control. Happiness, anger, grief, anything like that. If it's an emotion, it's possible for me to be set off, and to change. I can hold it back sometimes, but there are times when it simply becomes too much, you see." The redhead sighed, and looked out, another direction catching his eye. So, the denizens of Soul Society had come out to play now. As he watched the Shinigami step through the gate, one of them made him grimace. Sanmaru Takeme. The only Shinigami that he'd really made and enemy of, and the one person who was completely convinced that Dai was a traitor.
"Shit. We need to lay low, I think. If Sanmaru finds us... I won't be able to step back into Soul Society, and I'll be branded as a traitor. I can't have that happen to me, not yet." Dai's eyes narrowed, and he went onto one knee, closing his eyes and allowing his Reiatsu to be masked, somewhat. Maybe Sanmaru hadn't noticed him yet. Maybe he wasn't even looking. Yeah, right. Like that was gonna happen. As far as Dai knew, Sanmaru was already alerted of his presence...
Not a good thing.
---
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH-OOF!" The kid suddenly felt himself run into something and stumbled back, landing on his ass. Erg... He looked up - did he hit a brick wall? No, it was that guy! That soldier guy! He smiled softly, and stood up, before falling over again - he was still kinda dizzy from falling over so quickly. He groaned, and rubbed his forehead, trying to regain his composure, and them the other guy spoke.
Hey kid would you like to stick with me causes it looks like were gonna need each other to get through the night," Kasai nodded.
"Yeah." He didn't need his power yet. He could wait.
---
Standing near Sanmaru, leaving the Senkaimon, was a grey-haired boy with a relatively long blade on his back. He looked up, grey eyes scanning the battlefield, and shaking his head at the same time. Why had he agreed to come along? He knew that Sashiki Rei was nigh on unavailable to him right now, and yet he'd come to this?! He was a fool.
"I hope you do something soon, Rei." His eyes narrowed, and he clutched at the crystal that hung from his neck.
I won't waver... Not anymore...
---
And from within the Senkaimon, another shadow emerged, two swords hanging off of his belt. With his pink coat fluttering behind him, he stepped out into the light and spoke.
"Yare yare. Things are really heating up, aren't they?"
The shadows emerged from the gate, revealing a small numbered shinigami force that consisted of several captains and a few subordinates. Among the captains were the white haired Captain Jushiro Ukitake who took the liberty to observe what was happening.
"Seems like quite a mess, looks like a man is injured on that rooftop." He said pointing at the rooftop where Roy, Makana, and Hiko were hiding. Even from the distance they were apart, he could tell that Roy was injured. He only pointed it out so any fourth squad members could take care of him.
Next to step into the light was the tallest of the Captains, Sajin Komamura. The situation that required this many captains was disturbing. What are so many Arrancar doing here at a time like this? The thought ran through his head as he searched for any signs of Aizen or Gin.
It seems that they weren't there, though Gin's shadow was seen in play for some odd reason. Komamura couldn't feel Gin here, but that shadow bothered him. "That shadow is pestering me." He said with a slight growl under his breath, hinting his annoyance at Hatter's Doppalhatter.
The newest Captain seemed to have the same calm expression about the whole situation. Ningai had not encountered any of these Arrancar, maybe due to his time looking for vizards or his inactivity during the winter war, but whatever the case may be, he is here now.
Though his kasa covered his grey eyes, but he saw everything below. The amount of reiastu that enveloped the area was something else. Never have I felt something like this since the events in the forest. He remained quiet as he stepped between Ukitake and Komamura, sure that the battle will commence shortly.
-----------------------------------------
Below, Starrk noticed the familiar faces of the two captains that he fought in the winter war. He never did showed me his Bankai. Thinking about his fight with Shunsui, trying to get him to use his Bankai but was interrupted by so many others. It would be a pain to go through that again, but he was still curious to see that bankai.
"It seems some old faces have returned." Speaking to Lilynette as he stood there rubbing the back of his head. Once she found out they were there, she'll be sure to drag him to the battle now.
And he was right of course. Lilynette was just unimpressed with spoon heads latest failed fraccion to replace Tesla. "Oh, looks like another failed to measure up to Tesla." Once she said that, she heard Starrk and looked to to who he meant. She saw Halibel and her girls, then saw the wolf captain, then a new face. Then she saw them, the two Captains that they fought.
"That white haired bastard." She said under her breath as she gave Ukitake the death stare. It was obvious what she wanted to do and she'll get it whether Starrk wanted it or not.
Although it seemed that Hatter was ignored by his Espada, it didn't matter anymore. The twins were here and that meant fun. "Tweedle Twins, I counted the time between the last time we played." He came at them for a hug but only Neva would get it, she is his favorite after all.
He looked at Celia for a minute with a smile, then at the new member. A frown slowly came over his face as he stared at Darui for a minute. He then made a dramatic announcement for all to hear by releasing the hug he had on Neva. Pointing at Darui, he held down one eye lid with his tongue sticking out. "You're stupid looking, have bad attitude, and not worth making a doll out of."
With Roy already injured, being hit on the head was not as bad as the burn. It was nice that she cared but did she really need to hit him. "You are always first in my book, Bean-chan." He said with a smile as to cover up the pain from the burn. He had never felt such an injury since the time saving his comrade from a grenade, but this was far worst.
The shrapnel may still be in his side but at least that wasn't near half as bad as this Cero Burn. But he needed to keep a calm face, for Makana's sake. So he kept smiling even though he was in great pain.
She had no intention of stopping. Kaki meant to keep running until she was out of that nonsense. Still, the weight of the Quinta's reiatsu grew nearer, not to her, but to her opponent. Her opponent who was no longer pursuing her. As the sound of footsteps drew near, as the man's hand pierced his fraccion's chest, Kaki turned her head, eyes wide and terrified.
She stopped dead, not sure if she should be disgusted or terrified at the following events.
"You are too weak," the Espada coldly declared, opening his mouth and revealing a tattoo. that seemed vaguely familiar, but Kaki couldn't remember why. It was a long time ago, after all, since she'd last seen a person with a number on their body, especially one in that style. The man's mouth, however, flooded with golden reiatsu. Kaki recognized that very well: a cero. It shot straight through her former opponent, and his lower half sank to the ground.
"Now where were we."
It was sickening. Kaki froze, not sure whether to be angry or to be horrified. She was a little of both.
Don't.
Kaki wasn't sure what Hisui meant by that. Did he mean don't run? Don't move? Don't fight? It didn't feel right. She wanted to say something, and yet she could not find the words to call a man who had so carelessly shot his own man through the chest. She stood, backing away slowly, face contorting with disgusted rage. Slowly, she edged backwards. That was not the relationship of a master and a subordinate.
Quietly, her lips masked by her scarf, she murmured, "Wh... what a bastard..."
The sekaimon filled with captains and lieutenants and seated officers alike.
"YOSH!" Chimed an excited eleventh divisioner. His first real battle. Not a fight with simple hollows, where the only risk was not getting his job done, not a sparring match, but a full on battle. There was risk here. Here, he could take a gamble. Maybe his opponent would enjoy it was much as he would.
He would win too. That was the best part. It wasn't like his last trip to the human world at all. He'd come a lot farther. Now, he had Sazanami for help. His squadmates would be coming along soon too, wouldn't they? Come to think of it, his captain wasn't even there yet.
Emerging from behind the large, gathering crowd, rather meek in size, was a very small shinigami, one who questioned why she had agreed to come out in the first place. Someone told her a healer was needed, and she agreed to be that healer.
"Oh," she murmured to herself.
"Seems like quite a mess, looks like a man is injured on that rooftop."
That was her cue. Quietly, she tried to squeeze her way through the gathering crowd, and, on her way out, she uttered apologies galore, slightly nervous herself. She was not one for fighting, and she never had been. Now she was going to be right in the middle of a battlefield.
"Excuse me, gomen, gomen, gomen nasai~!"
Armed with her healing, and a kit handed out to all of the fourth division members, Rinako followed the captain's directions and sought to make her way to the rooftop.
She's here too, Sanmaru noted quietly. Rinako was not a threat, rather, she lacked the confidence to become one. He was not worried about her. She would be fine. As she passed him, however, he noticed her eyes flicker towards him as she passed. Before she left, she stopped breifly.
"Be careful, Takeme-senpai," Rinako urged. To the man who had helped her graduate from the academy, she owed at least a word. With that, she was off, vanishing in a blast of shunpo towards the building. She would be there quickly.
Following the entry of the infamous Inu-taichou, the captain dog, Komamura Sajin was followed by his fukutaichou, the man of all men, Iba Tetsuzaemon! In all seriousness, the prospect of a good fight was not lost on Tetsuzaemon. He was still an eleventh divisioner at heart. He still loved a good fight.
That was not to say his captain was less important.
"That shadow is pestering me."
Peering past his captain, Tetsuzaemon gave his consent in the form of a quiet, "Hpmh," noting that there was no apparent source for the shadow of that traitor. Taking a pause, Iba's hoarse voice resonated through the air quietly, though his captain was sure to hear. "Taichou..."
Celia's eyes grew narrow as she watched the scene unfold beneath her. How disgusting. An Espada brutally killing his own subordinate. Someone who he chose to take under his wing. Celia frowned. "Disgusting."
"Serves him right."
"Ew," Adan murmured, putting his stump over his chest. That looked painful. As he stood, he looked to Xuan and Stour, conversing. They weren't bothered by the display at all.
Stour approached Xuan and began to speak quietly. "It's so boring here, you may as well have not come at all. Nothing interesting at all."
"I didn't expect there to be. Achaparrado over there saw Celia-"
Adela interjected, rolling her eyes from below. "SAMA."
"And her fraccion leaving for the human world, so he dragged me along. Although," Xuan mused, "There are some interesting reiatsu here. Perhaps one of their owners would make a nice test subject for Szayel-sama."
Adela's eyes widened with glee as Hatter suddenly came her way. Hatter was always one for creating interesting times, and Adela adored him confusing the 'smarter' of the twins. Not to mention Celia-sama. He stumped her a few times too. Those were entertaining. Hatter was entertaining. As Hatter came forward, arms outstretched, Adela opened her own arms too.
"Tweedle Twins, I counted the time between the last time we played."
And then he hugged Neva. Of course.
"Oh come ON!" Adela shouted, stomping her foot in the air. She turned red as she watched her sister stand boringly in his grasp. She could at least have the courtesy of doing something! However, Hatter soon released the smarter of the twins and moved to Darui. Adela walked after him casually, hands resting on her hips.
This was dumb.
"You're stupid looking, have bad attitude, and not worth making a doll out of."
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA~!" Adela laughed, clutching her stomach.
Celia's hand reached out to grasp for Darui's shoulder, ready to hold back whatever fit of rage he was sure to unleash. "Hatter, stop antagonizing my fraccion."
And then... he came.
"Achaparrado!"
Adan's eyes went wide, suddenly he appeared before his master only a few feet away. His eyes were wide, he was scared. Was Szayel angry at him? Well, Szayel was always angry at him. For a variety of reasons: being too hyper, being too lazy, being one-handed, being clumsy, painting his castle pink...
Oh, he was doomed.
"Hai?"
"What is the meaning of this?!"
Adan smiled nervously. Directing his good hand to point at Celia, he answered, "I'm in love?"
"Szayel-sama, it's not horrible."
Xuan appeared in front of the gargantua Szayel had just emerged from, hands at his sides, looking bored. He was always like that. Even with the entries. He was shocked to be defending Adan, but it was worth trying. He would love a good test subject.
"There are more than just shinigami at the gates."
Szayel's brow perked. It seemed there was. Well, an exception could be made in such an instance, after all, without actors such as Szayel, the show would not be the same!
From the roof, Makana shook her head to Hiko. "Nii-san, how are we going to get him to a hospital through all this? You're a doctor, do something!"
And of course, Roy just had to make it better. Through his pain, he told her, "You are always first in my book, Bean-chan."
Makana wasn't buying that stupid grin. Waving her arms in exasperation above her head, the woman shut her eyes. She was not going to let him scare her like that again. Hiko would do something. Yep, yep, yes he would! "Oh stop faking it you baka!"
Another cero shot off behind them. Makana's eyes widened; she hadn't seen the cero this time, but she felt the reiatsu. Her head turned to see the gargantuan man with a bloodied hand, the charred remains of another falling the ground in a heap. "That's horrible."
Her gaze shifted back to Roy, and to the voice. On the roof stood a mousy little girl with a pack. Makana stood, drawing her bow and aiming it straight at the tiny woman. Sure, the girl looked like a child, but she was a shinigami. She carried a sword on her back. She could be a danger to them. "Give me a good reason not to shoot you!"
"Waaaah! I'm just a medic!" the girl cried, throwing her hands up in the air. Makana lowered her bow. "Look, see, my sword isn't even sharp!"
Pulling her weapon from the sheath, Makana tilted her head. She recognized the style of sword and gave an understanding nod. This girl wasn't there to hurt them. "Ukitake-taicho said he saw someone hurt up here, so I came to help."
"That would be Roi-kun," Makana sighed with relief.
Back at the senkaimon, amongst the captains was none other than Zaraki Kenpachi, his little fukutaicho perched on his shoulder. He scowled at first. Had he been any good at picking out reiatsu, he would know that there were some strong opponents out there. Some who he had fought before. But Zaraki Kenpachi was not reknowned for his ability to track down strong opponents, much less so when his fukutaichou was his main source of directions.
"Ne, Ken-chan, do you think we'll find someone strong?"
A smirk made its way onto the captain's features, slowly etching its way across his face. There had to be someone tough if they were calling out all of those captains. Someone there was going to be strong. Someone there was going to be worth the fight.
Someone there was going to make her Ken-chan very, very happy.
A yellow cero sealed the deal for Kenpachi; his grin widened considerably. So that bastard was alive, huh? He would love to remedy that.
Darui's expression was a mix of shock and slight disgust as Nnoitra brutally separated Leocha's upper body from his legs. That was uncalled for, cold-hearted, and downright disgusting. He glanced at Celia, and for the first time since being placed under her command, he was thankful to anyone that listened that he decided to go with her, rather than Nnoitra.
He was never, never going to hope to be one of Nnoitra's fraccion. Ever.
"You're stupid looking, have bad attitude, and not worth making a doll out of."
W...what did he just say? A vein throbbed on Darui's forehead as his head lowered with a rather scary looking expression. "What...did you...just...say?!" he screamed, lunging for the odd man with a hat. How dare he...whoever this guy was? How dare he mock him with that face...he couldn't stand it. He barely heard Adela's laugh as he leapt for Hatter, totally and completely determined to kill. "I don't even know who you are! And who wants a stupid doll anyway! And I am not stupid looking! Have you looked at yourself?! You look like a moron!"
That is, of course, until Celia decided to place her hand on his shoulder, effectively stopping him from attacking Hatter. "Hatter, stop antagonizing my fraccion."
Knowing Celia probably wouldn't see the righteous action he would be doing to the entire population of Hueco Mundo by killing Hatter, Darui clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, growling slightly from the back of his throat.
Not to mention Szayel had taken this time to appear. Not only could Darui not stand the man, just by standing near him was off-putting. It was probably the pink hair. Or the glasses. Or the threat of being dismembered. Most likely the last one.
With a huff, Darui yanked his shoulder away from Celia and crossed his arms, narrowing his free eye at Hatter. One day, definitely. He'll get him. One day.
On the roof, Hiko searched for any way he could help reduce Roy's injury. "Nii-san, how are we going to get him to a hospital through all this? You're a doctor, do something!"
"I'm trying! But there's nothing here I can really work with!" he replied, continuing his examination. Okay, there was some mild first-degree burns, but the real damage was just off to the side of his back, where there were spots of obvious second-degree burns. Not only that, but there was slight damage to his side, caused by the shrapnel from the blast. He shook his head. "Alright, let's see. First off, I'm going to remove some of the cloth from your shirt," he said to Roy, "Tell me if it hurts," he said as he began to peel off the burnt cloth that wasn't stuck to the skin, slowly and carefully.
"Now, we need some water, maybe some anti-burn ointments. I can't do anything much-"
"That's horrible."
His head shot up just as Makana drew her bow, pointing it at the small shinigami girl. From the expression on the girl's face, he could tell that something horrible had just occured behind him. Should he look? No...that probably wasn't a good idea. He needed to focus on helping Roy right now. He would ask Makana about it later.
"Give me a good reason not to shoot you!"
"Makana, don't-" Hiko began. Yes, this girl was a shinigami, and, quite frankly, he didn't care much for them. But if this girl could help them, then she was well needed, especially now.
"Waaaah! I'm just a medic! Look, see, my sword isn't even sharp! Ukitake-taicho said he saw someone hurt up here, so I came to help."
With a sigh of relief, Hiko motioned for the girl to come over, "Good, I'm glad you're here. This man here has been burned, some first-degrees around the medial of his back, and some lateral second-degree burns on either side," he explained, pointing to each area using proper anatomical terminology. This girl was a medic, she should know it, "Moreso, there are some shrapnel embedded on his left side, as well as some superficial cuts. There's also a rather large piece of debris just beneath his right axillary." he finished, looking at the girl, "Do you have anything we could treat him with? Even water would do."
And with the large group of shinigami, another figure stepped out of the Senkaimon, just behind Masaru. Isamu looked at the gathering crowd and surveyed the area. There certainly was a high concentration of powerful reiatsu from both sides of the battle. He glanced at the large gathering of captains, lieutenants and other high-ranking officers. His own captain couldn't come, and sent him instead.
He placed a hand on his zanpakuto, just as Masaru whooped in excitement. "Don't cheer so loudly," he said, his words most likely falling on deaf ears. After all, Masaru was a part of the Eleventh Division now.
Looking once again at the mass of shinigami, vizard, human and arrancar, Isamu straightened.

Kobato watched interested as one of the Espada destroyed half of his Fraccion's body. Kobato merely smiled and thought, that what he gets for being weak... Kobato hated all weaklings, although he wasn't the strongest person in the world, he didn't like anyone beneath his power level and constantly trained in order to increase the gap between him and weaker foes.
He however looked closely at the man's tongue as there seemed to be a tattoo of some sorts on it. It was a number 5 etched into his tongue, Kobato merely stood there in amazement, wondering about the other, stronger Espada. If he was number five and had that much power, then anyone else would be near God-level power.
Kobato then stood upon the ledge of the huge building he stood on, with a sudden urge to get a closer look on all the fun, however, he would only watch for now as most of these people seemed to be way above his level. So crouching low, Kobato kicked off of the tip of the building's ledge, clearing the large gap between the building he was jumping to and the one he jumped off of with with ease. He then watched closely at the battle still ensuing below although it seemed to have come to a standstill as some people exchanged pleasantries, and others'... not so pleasant.
"Bitch you got my hopes up and then shot them down, thanks alot", Taison said.
"YOU got your hopes up, not me", retorted Kobato.
After the short and not so pleasant conversation with Taison, Kobato just watched everything below. Taison said nothing, obviously mad and thinking he could put the guilt trip on Kobato with his childish behavior. However, Kobato liked the silence that emanated from Taison's close lips and merely smiled while still watching.
Kitsune smiled as multiply signatures of spiritual pressure were appearing. Almost all if not all of them were stronger than Kitsune's very own level of power. " I have to be careful or else today will be the end of me".
Tonight was like a grand opening of new mall of something with as many people showing up. This part of town was now the battlefield for a miniature war. Kitsune could only be happy by this thought so he continued on forward. He flash stepped onto a roof and continued to look for a higher building. Kitsune wanted to find a place that would over look the multiply battles.
They were a few lights to Kitsune's right as he searched for any familiar spiritual pressures. There were two that seemed distant but for now he was going to leave them alone. He wanted to wait unlike the last time he had done this. Kitsune edged toward the right corner of the roof a large spiritual pressure emanated from the street below. They was a tall Arrancar that seemed really irritated as more be people appeared to face him. Kitsune wanted to watch what happened.
There were similar reiatsu to the one Kitsune felt from the large Arrancar. Kitsune knew that they weren't normal Arrancar but at the moment he didn't know what they were. It was like they were something else entirely. "They must be immensely powerful even strong than that bastard. I want that kind of power but how to get it".
A sly grin was on Kitsune's face as he watched the battlefield in front of him.
Tels emerged following his captain. "Ukitake-taicho, what would you like from me?" He asked, bowing his head when he spoke to his captain. As he finished speaking, his head rose, and he took a few steps to the side of Jushiro, looking where his captain was looking. Hopefully some members of the Fourth Squad would get there soon... It looked rather dangerous. Tels surveyed the field. He didn't want to jump headlong into combat, but he might not have a choice if that was what his captain asked. Or, if he saw someone in dire need... Losing a fight, not his problem. Losing their life? He couldn't have that on his conscience.
------------------
Stour smirked at Xuan's remark. He was right. There were many potential candidates here. "You're right, indeed, Xuan. No wonder Szayel likes you. You're smarter than I took you for," He grinned at Xuan. Stour could forgive whatever personality defects he might have, or they share, if he was this useful as a comrade. Then, his master arrived, and Stour grinned, and bowed his head. Perhaps the first time he never bowed fully in Szayel's presence. Stour didn't even notice the change, himself, let alone the possible reasons for it.
"Orders for me, Szayel-Sama," Stour began to ask, "Or shall I do my own thing?"
Stour was half hoping for orders, but going off on his own might not be a bad thing. Could turn out to be fun, even.
Our bed becomes a grave before we blow ourselves away!

Kazuma had taken a position in the shadows below one of the Senkaimon, where better to observe then near where the enemy wouldn't go? With captain class Shinigami near him it was unlikely that he would be sensed by the Arrancar.
"Now then, who is near my level?" he thought measuring the spiritual pressures around him, many were much higher than his own, there must be someone out there that he could fight against...He just couldn't seem to sense any good ones right now. Perhaps someone would come and find him. Until then he would wait. He jumped up onto the next closest platform to the ground, a roof about fifteen feet away, it was a little more exposed than he liked, but it would work. He took a seat where he could observe all the others arriving, lots of Arrancar, two or three Quincy, and a good number of Shinigami and Vizards, including a handful of Captains. one of whom he saw, now that he was on the front side of the Senkaimon, was Captain Kyoraku of the Eighth squad, he remembered from his past time in Seireitei. Things were really starting to get exciting, of course, how would the town below fare from all the fighting?
