Personality:
Canas is best described as a scholar. He is fond of literature, knowledge, and discovery and those alone remain the greatest passions in his life. Canas's most prized possessions are his books.Appearance:
Canas spends every waking moment of his time reading or researching. As a member of the research department of the Gotei 13, he is required to perform research for his department. However, canas does not take much delight in scientific experiments that involve the use of a living specimen. Canas is a nice, mild and kind mannered person at heart and hasn't much love of fighting. He prefers to spend his time studying written material and perhaps involving himself in feild research. Though he isolates himself to study, Canas is a very social person as he loves to discuss different subjects with whoever he meets, and because nearly any topic at all will take hold of his interest and curiosity, its not that hard to talk to this scholarly man.
Canas is also very generous and kind as well as mild mannered. He values his books, but will let nearly anyone read them if they asked, in fact he'd insist that they try just one of his books. He doesn't seem to have a single ounce of contempt or anger in him, even if one were to throw one of his one-of-a-kind literature owrks into a fire, he would only react with dissapointment.
Subjects of particular interest to Canas are Kido spells, Human customs, Hollow life-cycles and ecosystems in Hueco Mundo, Arrancar, Vizards, the HIstory of Soul Society, the scientific research of Kisuke Urahara, the Scientific Research of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, and incarnations of Shinigami zanpaktou, including his own, just to name a few.
Though a scholar at heart, Canas does enjoy practicing different forms of kido and training with his own kido-like zanpaktou
Zanpakuto Spirit:
Canas looks like a bookworm to put it simple. His deep violet hair is unkempt and messy most of the time, and his appearance is rather plain, which compliments his mild appearance quite nicely, much like the "fake Aizen".
Canas isn't physically strong and he is quite unfit. But he is close to average in build and is slightly skinny.
Canas wears his usual shinigami robes in most occasions, but more often than not, he'll wear a set of robes that look they came right off a mage in a fantasy video game. They're usually dark colored and are embroidered with sets of runes or patterns on the tails or sleeves. The overall robe is larger than the person wearing it and drags across the floor, and is copleted with a standard collar and a cape piece common to those types of robes. The origin of this outfit actually comes from his family, a lesser noble house responsible for the keeping of written works of literature and records.
Canas also wears a monocle, which attributes to his scholarly appearance. Its just for looks actually, his eyesight is just fine.
Canas's zanpaktou spirit takes the form of a mysterious figure cloaked in shadowy robes that sift into the darkness around him, rippling about like a shadow to what are shadows to us. His presence is not evil, but otherwordly. He shares a mutual relationship with Canas in a quest for knowledge and advancement in their abilities for the sake of getting to the other side. He appears to know a lot more than Canas does and is much much wiser and less enthusiastic over any matter. Canas will often consult with Bramimond for dangerous studies in the realms of power.Sealed Zanpakuto:
Bramimond's inner world takes the form of an ancient and dimly lit library. There aren't any windows, only rows upon rows of bookcases filled with dusty old books. Eadch book represents part of Canas's or Bramimond's memories and knowledge.
Canas is not known for his sword arm, so his zanpaktou doesn't manifest itself as a steel forged weapon, even when in sealed form. Instead it takes the form of a pentagram amulet that hangs from a chain around his neck. Easy to conceal, easy to carry, and always close to you, very convenient.Shikai Description:
Faigh amach cad nach thar, Bramimond (Discover what lies beyond, Bramimond)Shikai Abilities:
Upon releasing his zanpaktou, Canas's amulet disolves into pure energy and flows into Canas's body through his hands. Two identical rune enscripted, transmutation like circles appear etched into his hands like a tattoo. The circles glow at first, but then fade to a simple tattoo marking and only glow when in use.
By infusing his reietsu with a physcial object, Canas can create a cirlce of complex ruins and linear designs in various forms. The circles can only be formed when Canas is physically touching a solid object. Just like on his hands, the circle seems to have been carved or tattoo'd onto the target. These seals serve as a point for Canas to release his energy. The seals can only release a certian amount of energy before fading away, but can remain there in a dormant state for as long as Canas's zanpaktou is released. The energy released from the circles are dyed black with a faint, dark violet outline. It is Canas's own raw reietsu and is easily manipulated by Canas's hand gestures, when controlling this energy manifestation, the circles on Canas's hands glow brightly, indicating that they may be the source of all his ability and the closes thing to a physical form of his shikai. Therefore, one could assume that if these two circles were to be somehow destroyed or disfigured, Canas's abilities would cease to function effeciently. Any circle created by canas will cease to work if the circle is defaced or distorted.Bankai Description:
From any creation point created by Canas, including the two circles on his hands, Canas's can manifest his energy into a physical form. This can be shaped into nearly any object, though complex objects are a bit difficult to form succesfully, things such as a human body made of reishi would be beyond Canas's ability. Instead, it can take the form of weapons, blasts of energy, a shower of needles, chains, etc.
Canas's original circles on his hands function differenly than the others he creates. These do not fade after a certian amount of use and are more powerful in use.
Canas can give a silent command for any one of his circles to self-destruct with the remaining energy it holds. This includes the ones on his hands, but that would just be incredibly stupid.
As far as surfaces go, walls, floors, items, stones, even human flesh can be used to create a circle. Getting one of these circles on your body could spell out defeat unless you were to figure out that you could try and tear the affected portion of flesh to the point where it no longer functions. To create a circle, it takes canas 2 seconds of focus to etch out the design and set the reietsu, 3-10 on living beings due to and depending on the amount of reietsu a body contains, Canas must set his own reietsu to co-exist on the same plane as the inflicted person in order for it to work, and as stated, this synchronization takes time.
Another unique factor in Canas's magic seals on his hands are their ability to reform and enhance his own kido. All kido spells used when in shikai gain a slight boost in power and are distinguished by a dark aura and coloration. (Ex. A black fire ball created by shakaho hadou spell)
Including the two in his hand, Canas can only create up to seven circles at a time, creating another would require him to allow another to dissolve. The size of Canas's circles differ depending on the amount of energy instilled in them. A small circle is hardly noticable but contains little magic, a very large seal, perhaps 20 ft in diameter would be arguably powerful and perhaps unstable, but would take quite a toll on Canas's stamina.
N/A (Canas admits that he would fear having a bankai of his own, as he might as well lose his self to power, power is something to be feared in its own respect, even if you weild it yourself)Bankai Abilities:

History/Background:
Canas was born to a lesser noble house who were famed as keepers of the book. Written documents and literature were kept and maintained by his family for generations. They had access to the great spirit library as well as other sources of information. Most of his family were not shinigami's, just servants of the Gotei 13, librarians in most respects.RP Sample:
Canas grew up surrounded by mountains of books, and from a very early age, learned to read them all. Every moment of Canas's childhood seemed to have been spent reading. He spent most of his money on books that he already read, just so he could own them, keepo them close, and read them again. The studious child grew intellectually and became very knowledgable over many subjects. But it wasn't until he reached his later childhood that he realized his ability as a shinigami. Typically, it began with an ability in kido spells, something common amongst those who did rise to the rank of a shinigami in his family. Through books alone, he taught himself basic kido, and even took on advanced, difficult spells.
Noticing his growing ability and potential, Canas's parents sent him to the shinigami academy for his training. Canas was not a jack-of-all-trades student. His kenjutsu was terrible because of his lack of athletic and fighting skills. His speed and agility were sub-par, and he could not even weild a training zanpaktou. Canas did far surpass expectations of any student in the feilds of kido and knowledge. Canas's kido was already somewhat developed when he had entered the academy, he perfected this as he attented his lessons. In terms of written exam, history, and the written strategies of combat, Canas surpassed all. He could not hold a sword to a hollow, but he could easily identify the abilities of certian types within seconds of ecountering one. Canas passed with near failing marks in all physical classes, but with perfect marks in his kido and studies. Because of his specific balance in ability, Canas was reccomended to the 12th division, something that he accepted with much joy.
Canas now spends his time in his private study in the research department. He is the go-to guy for all written documents and books, and while he isn't known for his experimentation, he still makes many discoveries for the Gotei in the feilds of observational study and retreival of old archives.
Canas grinned contently to himself as he gently flipped the page in his book as his eyes glided carefully over the words. He was oblivious to all else around him, he was immersed in another world as he took in all he could and tried to memorize it so that he could hold onto it forever. This was what it was like when he read any book, every book he read was precious to him.
His office was not to big, but it was at least neat and very quaint and serene. His desk was stacked with several newly aquired works along with his completed paperwork required for the week for the division captain. Opposite his desk was the door, and every bit of wall aside from that door was lined with various sized bookcases. Each bookcase was filled with a massive variety of books, many non-fiction books for information, but a few fictional novels managed to find themselves in this impressive collection.
The door opened abruptly, and Canas did not pay any heed to the man walking into his study. "Excuse me Canas-san" the man spoke politely, only calling Canas by his first name because his last name was such a mouthful. Canas wasn't a poweful figure, but he earned the respect of his peers because of his reliabilty in research and his ever groing knowledge in such a broad range of subjects. "Ah, takeda-san, its a pleasure to see you again so soon" Canas greeted the man cheerfully, his violet eyes peering up from the immersing world of the countless pages before him, accompanied by a friendly and warm smile. "I finished the Theory of the Vasto Lorde just now, I thought I'd return it and thank you for helping me with my little project." The shinigami handed Canas a moderate sized book with a worn cover but decent condition for how old it appeared. "I'm glad that I coould help" Canas replied happily as he took the book and layed it gently upon the stack of books on his desk. "If you'd like, I have a great number of other books by the same author, all pertaining to the evolution and behaviors of hollows. You see, they were written by my great-grand uncle and his sons after. Just recently I have decided to pick up their research from where they left off and complete a study on the Arrancars of Las Noches, a dangerous subject but a facinating one nonetheless. Ahh, if only I could see the halls of Las Noches itself and meet its inahabitants. Maybe someday we could do such a thing" Canas ranted, happy to have any sort of intelectual disscusion with another. "That's amazing Canas, I wish you the best of luck then, umm, if I amy, can I add my own input to this book? I've been studying the same topic and I think I've collected a great deal of useful information, I'm supposed to give it to the Gotei Captains but I can also share it with you fro your book." "Why I'd be honored" Canas replied, his eyes reflected his bright, glowing passion for expanding upon this mysterious and ever-expanding feild of study.
