With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Aoide Sato, dressed in the wrinkled robes she had worn the day before, a rarity considering she had several robes and prided herself on looking neat a clean. The robes she was wearing was filled with stains and what looked like a burned sleeve. Long nights with open candles had caused her to catch her sleeve on fire. She had been up for the last two weeks in the Gotei 13 record room putting together various reports on the Districts, putting together leads and connections on the various kidnapping that went on down there. A pair of thin, horned reading glasses hung from a chain around her neck. Her long brown hair was tied up into a messy bun with tentacles of hair framed her tired face. Stress lines lined her mouth, eyes and forehead, as well as dark circles under her eyes.
Under her arm was a file, at least as thick as a dictionary filled with reports as well as her own that she had been compiling together. Two weeks of constant work after her and Kenpachi had returned from 5th District. Two weeks since she had seen Kenpachi last, though through her work filled hazed she had heard the occasional knock, and the mysterious blanket on her shoulders when she had passed out at her desk was all that was hinted at his presence. Aoide’s chest twnged with a slight pain of loniness and missing Kenpachi, but these reports were important, very important. She let out a sigh as she came to Captain Hitsugaya’s office and then knocked on the door, waiting for permission to enter.
Hitsugaya got back to his office an hour or so before aoide would of turned up, from the time he got back to the time of the knock on his office door, Hitsugaya was sleeping on the sofa next to the window when he hears the knock on the door he speaks saying.“Come in its open if that’s you Matsumoto, you have some explaing too do, like why your paper work isn’t on my desk like I ordered you to do, so I suggest you go and get it and if you haven’t done it by the end of today, i may have to take other steps,” at this time the young captain is sort of annoyed all thanks to Matsumoto
"No I'm not Vice Captain," Aoide breathed managing to open the door even though her hands were full with her reports. "Though having her breasts would be nice," she added shutting the door behind her with her foot and walking over to her Captain's desk and settling down the reports before bowing to her Captain politely. Granted, the 3rd seat and the Captain of Squad 10 shared a more brother/sister relationship, and in most occasional Aoide had the scowl when he treated her like a daughter. Thus his worrying she had nicknamed him Captain Baba-chan due to his old woman worrying. That and she had left a stack of kid mysterious at his door stop, she insisted that he was the kid detective of the Gotei 13, he promptly hit her over the head with one of the books. What a jerk!
"My paperwork was done earlier today, but excuse the smudges of cake on the pages. You see Ken...Captain Zaraki insisted in taking me to a cake shop so I had to eat cake inbetween doing my reports," Aoide said cupping her face in her hands and blushing, she stayed there for a moment enjoying the memory before snapping out of it. "But right, here's my report from the incident in the districts the other week involving the slave trading that has been going on due to the Shinigami there involvement with the traders. It also has my request for me to allow myself to go on patrol down there and try to figure out the mess and to report back to you with the findings," Aoide explained suddenly looking very tired as she leaned against the desk and looked at her Captain who was still laying on the couch.
Hitsugaya leaned over towards Aoide, as she was putting the paper work on his desk, he lets out small smile, at least someone in his division does as she is told, with that he begins to address her saying.
"Thank you Aoide. You may have odd way of doing stuff but you get it done none the less, and you know captain Zaraki is a bad role model don’t end up like him, I already have one person in my division I don’t need two, and yes your next mission when you had chance to sit down, is find out who is part of this and bring me there names, so I can deal with them *at this point Hitsugaya was sort of being the older brother telling his sister not to hang around with Captain Zaraki
"Granted Taichou, I just love doing paperwork that Matsumoto does," Aoide said rolling her eyes and gladly taking a seat on the couch and looking at her Captain with serious brown eyes, "I really want to take this case on my own, you'll get weekly reports from me, I'm more trusted then anyone under me you could send, not only that with finding this kidnapped child and others I've already started gaining the trusts of the districts by word of mouth. Sending someone else would be completely ridicilous," she said chewing on her bottom lip...then Aoide realized at the very beginning of the rant she had started to prove that she was the only one to go on this job, Captain Hitsugaya already seemed to approve of her going.
"Oh, I'm a tad hasty then?" she asked looking sheepish, "And hey, he's not a bad role model!" she then protested defending Kenpachi, "He's actually really kind and sweet and then he does this thing with his l...erm, but the mission?"
Hitsugaya smiles at aoide, as this point she is the only one that is proofing they are willing to do the tasks set before them hell if she carries on like this there may be a reward in it for her, Hitsugaya don’t give out perks, but Aoide has shown him she is willing to do her job, he then looks to her again and says.
“Indeed well I may have to have a talk with 11th Captain but it’s good that you’re earning the respect of the people, after all with out there help you may be jumping at ghosts, but I don’t have a problem with running this mission as you want to just take some of my men with you, I know you can look after yourself, but it would make me feel at ease.
And if you find out who they are, you are to bring them back here to me and lock them up in the store room, is that understood, o and if you want drink or something to eat, before you head out, in the draw behind you there is bottle of sake and some rice crackers feel free to eat and drink what you want. *with that Hitsugaya turns over again on the sofa so he whole body is facing aoide. all most falling of the sofa.
