With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

Soi Fon rested calmly in her quarters clad in her full Captain's regalia as she performed paperwork after she had sent her spies, and agents about to do some work.
She remained ever stoic as her hand utilized a calligraphy brush to fill out forms which rested on a low table that one had to sit on their legs to use comfortably.
Her whole room was rather Spartan with simple plaster walls, shoji doors, and rice mat floorings. There were absolutely no personal affects in this area. Such things weren't for the subordinates to see. They didn't need to know her personal life any more than she needed to know theirs as far as she were concerned.
If there was a time to hope that Soifon would cease her usual habit of ignoring her underlings, even for a moment, this was the time to move on the opportunity.

Yukino was walking though the second division barracks. With her solemn face as usual she headed to the captains office. Her blue hair gracefully swang as she walked in a slow pace. There was now hurry, afterall getting paperworkd for you rcaptain to do wasn't exactly the greatest thing ever. Amazingly, Yukino got from her studio apartment to the captains office within 15 minutes even though her walking pace was more like 5 miles an hour. Either way she was now at her Taichou's footstep, sheneterd the room " I'm her for the paperwork." She explained while giving her a small bow.

Soifon looked up at the woman that entered as she did, and heard her request for the paper work. She were relieved it wasn't some underling begging for some attention, rather it was her Vice Captain who replaced Omaeda.
She replied to the request promptly, "The paperwork isn't completely finished. Have a seat until it is," she said in a manner that wasn't asking as she mentally kicked herself for as she wasted too much time as she admired reports on Yoruichi.
She continued writing on the reports while she clearly expected her orders to be heeded.
"You have good mobility," she complimented her Vice Captain. That and not putting crumbs on her captain endeared her to Soifon quickly. The compliment was easier to get out than an attempt at small talk, but she wasn't sure how potent it would have been to start up any decent conversation.
It wasn't that she hated Omaeda, mind you, it's just that everyone had quirks. Soifon couldn't pretend that she knew all of the quirks of her VC, so maybe a little bit of time together would help her understand her VC more, and thus allow a better utilization of her talents.
A complement? Woah. She hadn't had one of thoose in, like a centry. However the shock stage had quicklly faded away for her heartless soul dominated the ins and outsides of her body once again. As her emotionless face glanced at Soifon - Taichou she noded at the complement she had made. This was obiously a once in a blue moon remark Soifon had made, however the rarity of her words showed absouletly no value to Yukino. Her greyish-blue hair swinged and her shinigami outfit rocked her she steadily headed towards her chair. Obiously social time wasn't one of Yukino's area of expertiece. Yukino sat on the small chair, she blankly stared around the room awaiting for her paperwork.

Soifon made note of the reaction to the compliment in it's entirety, and didn't show she liked the fact that the compliment didn't go to the woman's head. The fact that there was no small talk attempt made on her part would only make it easier to not involve herself in the woman's life. That was a double edged sword in that it'd hinder teamwork, but it'd likely make the woman stronger as she dealt with things herself.
Soifon put down her calligraphy brush, then used a soapstone stamp to finalize her work.
She stood slowly as her legs were nearly asleep from being sat on for a while, then walked over to her Vice Captain before she handed over the papers. "Here you are," her tone was flat, and authoritative, even for such a simple statement, and motion.
Damn. The stack was biger then last time. The papers that stacked over each other was taller then the average tv. Papers after papers of ink was handed to her it. It seemed as if Yukino's pale, slimsy body couldn't handle it. Mistake not, though, she was a 2nd divisioner and good definatly handle some wait applied to her arms. "Thank you, I"ll hand the m back as soon as I'm finnished with it. " Yukino said, with an emotionless face. The average VC would complain from the mass amount of paperwork, of have a sign on disappointment in they're voice. Yukino on the other had was not annoyed, nor disappointed. She was like a little robot, give her an assignment and she'll complete it without any hesitation.

Soifon was not the caring sort, but she could see that these papers were an intense burden to her VC. In the name of efficiency, she said the next words, "Do you need help with the load? There's no shame in needing it," she assured her VC. There was no pity in her tone. She sure as heck wasn't underestimating the woman.
She waited calmly for a reply as she studied her VC in the most delicate of ways to help gauge what sort of woman she was. Files, and reports only say so much. There's personal experience that those can never replace.
Yukino nodded , giving a sign of approval for the request. If anyone else was to ask she would have said no, however Soifon was her captain and she didnt want to "seem" rude. Yukino starrted walk towards Soifon, when she got close enough for Soifon to take a some of the papers she stopped. Any amount would be fine, as long as she got some slack.

(Unless you post one line, then your post doesn't suck. )
Soifon took half the stack with practiced ease gained from long years of service... long wonderful years of service to Yoruichi... Yoruichi... Her mind flashed to sepia toned images of her memories. The stack of papers hid her embarrassing blush, thankfully.
"Lets get going," she said firmly, then walked towards the door where she opened the sliding door with her foot in a mixture of grace and clumsiness, then she stepped out, and out of the way so her VC could catch up.
She checked to make sure enough of the burden was removed as she watched her with the typical look in her eyes.
If her VC didn't have the physical brawn it was no big deal. Soifon never had much herself, so she were hardly in a position to criticize. She would have to make note to find someone strong enough to handle the task, or make a habit of accompanying her VC in carrying reports. Either way, it couldn't be too bad, right?
Standing over four Hollows that lay upon the grass covered ground as they dissolve into spiritual matter within an empty public within Karakura, Sayuri with a swift twirl of her wakizashi sheathed it back into its scabbard at the back of her waist. The fifth grouping of Hollows tonight, this time they got to their target before she could reach them. A brief contemplation over the matter washed over her face, but showed no visible sign of regret or shame over it, her visage held its usual sedated expression. Such instances occur when serving as a Shinigami, you cannot save everyone. Her contemplation actually fell more upon the increased rate that these sort of attacks have been happening lately. Tonight it was five she herself had stopped - the other night she went on patrol it was seven.
The ridge of her left hand pressed lightly against the upper part of her mid-driff while her right wrist rested in the palm of her left hand, her right index and middle fingers pointing upward as she stood upright and ridge with her heels together like a kunoichi casting some sort of spell. The very instant she took this posture she appeared to have vanished in a burst of crimson smoke. It was the Bakudo Kidou spell #21 - Sekienton, because of her experience in the Kidou Corps and long history and training with Kidou, she did even require an incantation or even an utterence of it to do it, because of its lack of power - all it required was the proper application of skill.
Later that night, in her quarters within the 2nd Division barracks, she finished up writing and gathering up her reports for her activities she had been sent out on. A visible fatigue was beginning to show on her, her duties as a member of the Executive Militia branch within Onmitsukido and a member of 2nd Division on top of her recently gunning for 5th Seat... her loved ones were right - she is wearing herself thin, especially with the current increase of Hollow activity, reports about it are everywhere aside from her seeing and experiencing it first hand. Even still, she just closed her eyes and let out a sigh to focus herself and gritted it out. With her reports all done, gathered together and organized she headed off to the Captain's quarters to deliver them, and... accidentally stepping on a beanie baby snake on the way out the door.
In an attempt to be efficient Sayuri flash stepped her way through the barracks as silent and stealthy as she could be going directly for Soi Fon's office. It was that moment it dawned on her the other night when she left her report on Soi Fon's desk before diving out the window that hers was the only report there making it all the more obvious it was her, her heart sank a little more with a grimace at that point.
Rounding the corner with another kick off the hallway floor for another speeding flash step it was a straight shot down the hallway to Soi Fon's office. But, her eyes popped open wide as she slid on the back of her heels to halt, narrowly stopping herself in time before she could collide with her Captain. The last thing she expected was Soi Fon to be standing right there outside the door. With her free hand she stopped herself from falling on her backside by planting it on the floor, and then pushing herself off the floor back up onto her feet. Her quick reflexes seemed to have saved her narrowly for complete humiliation, and likely a very... severe... reprimanding had she actually crashed into her Captain. She stood there blushing with embarrassment of the situation with a furrowed brow. Words did were the last thing that came to her for the moment, all she found she could do was passively hold out her reports to Soi Fon... and quietly damn herself within her head.
