With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Isshin - Because he's just so freak'n badass and has that mysterious aura about him. Team'n him up with his son was an awesome turning point in the Manga.

Kon - Who else can get beat'n up so badly in a comedic fashion, and still make us laugh? Everyone's favorite plushie; there's really no reason for him NOT to be toward the top of the list!
Hollow Ichigo - Ichigo used to be a lot more reckless before he officially came face to face with his Hollow Form. Despite the whole 'Berserker' aspect, I can see him as a more intelligent fighter than Ichigo. Plus, he's a lot more badass! Who can't like that Joker-style laugh?!

**-- She made my cut for two MAIN reasons. First, she wasn't afraid to admit that she groped Shunsui.(lol). Second, and most important, is that she is the perfect embodiment of Beauty AND Brains. In the Beauty and Brains column she comes in second.
***-- Now personally I hate Grimmjow. I think he was terrible, even if he was supposed to be like that. Now, you might be asking why I put him on my list, and that's simple. He is FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE! I can ogle at him for hours (not literally).
****-- Now Cirucci Thunderwitch was one of the coolest arrancar in my opinion. She had so much fire in her, shown when she took off part of her release. I was sad to see her go, honestly, and wish that she'd come back somehow.
*****-- Now on the FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE scale Grimmjow got 6, but Avirama. MMMMMMMMMM, he's a perfect 10. Sure he was a lil' crazy, but he was sexy AND strong. I mean seriously, if Kira hadn't grounded him he would've won. He made it to second, obviously, and I wish that more could've been done with him.
******-- Now we made it to my number one. Rangiku matsumoto. In the Aforementioned chart of Beauty AND Brains Lisa Yadōru mad 2, and Rangiku is first. Seriously, she's dirty, nasty, likes to get drunk, flirtatious, BUT she's also strong, fierce, intelligent, and SEXYYYY! I mean have you seen her rack? I'm jealous!

5. Kisuke Urahara: because you never know when he's going to turn up out of the blue and kick ass.
4: Mayuri Kurotsuchi: he has the creepiest techniques around. I mean, come on! Replacing his organs with fakes to avoid a certain attack?! This man is a FREAK. I also agree with his opinions on science/advancement and such.
3: Sosuke Aizen: I think he's proven himself many times to be one of the greatest modern villains. Just when you think he's finally been beaten, he pulls out another trick. If his raw power didn't do it, or how perfectly he managed to fool the whole of Soul Society for years, then all it takes is...
*SPOILER* The look on their faces when they realized they had all impaled Momo instead of him. If I wasn't sold by then, that would have done it. *END SPOILER*
2: Wonderweiss Margera: severely underrated, in my opinion. Okay, so he's a bit of a retard, but the way we kept getting hints at his true potential really built up the mystery around him, and then when his story was finally explained, I was extremely impressed. And am I the only person who can see how plainly monstrous this guy is? When he's about to launch that cero, blimey that face scares me...
1: Gin Ichimaru: and when it comes to creepy faces, this is the master. My favourite characters come and go, but Gin has always been the real focus for me. He was just one of those characters where I'd think 'Damn, why didn't I think of that?'; his snake-like personality, his cold humour, his power, his zanpakuto, and of course that evil grin that you can never see past to tell what he was really thinking. All of these combine to make my favourite character in Bleach, and probably my second favourite character of the manga medium overall.
5. Uryu Ishida: Very, very underrated. He destroyed Mayuri's bankai, and would've killed him if he followed the simple rule of aiming above what you're trying to hit. (Dummy) 4. Izuru Kira: He makes everything heavier...(what if he hit Oprah?) 3. Nnoritra Jiruga: Six arms...how beast? (Very beast) 2. Shinji Hirako: Welcome to the inverted world (Wipe your feet on the rug) 1. Kisuke Urahara: He has a cave in his basement, started the Department of Research and Development, and fought Aizen without using bankai (You could learn something from him, Ichigo.)
