With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"I am fine, a little cold because of the temperature though.",she smiled and giggled a little bit like a giddy school girl.
"Why are you here Hotaru? Why have you changed?"
" We all know why I am here, and that is Kaki-nee san. As to the second question I have not changed, just my aspect on life and death.",her smile quickly turned into a frown then turned back.
She casually lifted the blade on her shoulder to give Areno a false sense of security, she would see his next move then decide to attack or not.
"I don't know about that." he replied with a shrug. "Why not explain it a bit." It was the truth. He had just accepted to go on the mission to capture her. To try and stop her getting hurt. He knew there was a reason behind what she was doing and what she had done, but he didn't know what. Now perhaps he could find out. "What has your sister done that made that aspect change? Tell me Hotaru. I am your friend"
She let him believe she had settled in by placing her zanpakuto back in its sheath. She had it drawn out carefully though so that if the need for her to defend arise, it would come out smoother.
"Nee-san that despicable monster killed my parents! And the Soul Society didn't have enough brain to figure it out and execute her. So now I shall go and claim her head with my blade, and Areno if you were to stop me I would have to use force.", she cautioned him as the mood had changed drastically.
Daigoro grimaced and dug his foot into the tree that he was standing on. Crap. The tone of her voice had just changed, suggesting violent tendencies. He slowly began to draw his zanpakuto from it's sheathe, and kept watching, closely.
Why? Why does she still call her sister 'nee-SAN'? There is still a degree of respect, even if there is more hate than love between them... Jesus. He sighed, and leant back into the tree again. He was glad that he had some form of barrier up, otherwise she'd have noticed his anger and tension ages ago.
Areno adjusted the grip slightly on his zanpakutoh. Her tone suggested it would come to fighting, but he hoped he could convince her to come quietly. "So thats it." he said quietly looking away for a moment. Then his gaze returned to her and he sighed. "You HAVE changed Hotaru." he said his calm tone returning. "I understand your pain, but the Hotaru I knew would follow the way of soul society." He extended a hand hoping she would take it. He looked into her eyes pleadingly. "Come back with me to Soul Society and I'll help you, but you have to do it in the right way."
She nodded her head 'no' to every one of his quotes. She was enraged that he wouldn't back her up.
Suddenly she sighed and looked toward Areno, she moved so the gap between them was seven feet. Quickly, and with meaning she drew her zanpakuto.
"Divide, Chika!", she screamed as she released her zanpakuto.
"I'm never going back and you can't make me! I'm sorry Areno, but you must be eliminated for my goal to be accomplished,"she spoke evilly.
If he was going to intercede in matters that didn't involve him, he would be eliminated. She'd find a way to kill the other man too, however at the moment he did not matter.
She swung her blade until it transformed into a buyoh. She lifted it to the side, and called out her technique's name. "Kyoushuu No Hana!", she screamed and swung Chika releasing a pink blast that was edging toward yellow.
She looked around simultaneously to see if the other man was around. She couldn't see him so she turned her attention back to Areno.
He raised his blade in defence whilst simultaneously stating "Bakudo 8: Seki." The small energy shield and his khopesh however did not stop him being blasted back through several trees and into a boulder. A splatter of blood shot out from the dust created. When this dust cleared Areno was seen cut and bruised quite badly with his arm at an awkward angle, definately broken. He wiped the blood from his lips and then shunpoed till he was next to her. "You don't have to do this." he whispered before his eyes clouded over. He fell to his knees. "Don't succumb to hatred." He then fell forwards out of the tree and to the ground, unconcious. It was up to Daigoro now.
Daigoro's eyes narrowed as he watched Areno fall. That's it. No holdng back. He stood up straight, and jumped down, landing directly in front of Hotaru.
"Attacking him was a big mistake. He was trying to convince you to come quietly, and because of your arrogance, it is my turn. And I'm not as kind as he is... So, we begin." Daigoro raised his right arm, level with his shoulder. He then began to focus his reiatsu down that arm, causing it to appear as white lightning. He grinned, as the wolf tattoo on his right hand glowed white, and then shattered. As soon as the tattoo shattered, tribal-style tattoos began working their way up Daigoro's right arm and to his torso. As the last tattoo worked his way nto his face and curled around his eye, his reiatsu spiked to a much higher level. The moment that that happened, Daigoro flicked his zanpakuto down by his side.
"Sharpen, Kiba Ookami!" Daigoro shouted, as his zanpakuto doubled in length with a burst of Reiatsu. He smiled, and stood up straighter.
"Before we begin, I am Daigoro Ito, the third seat of the Second Division. You are Hotaru, am I correct?" Not waiting for an answer, he ran for Hotaru, preparing his attack, ready to sweep his arm, holding his zanpakuto in an inverted grip.
She snarled at Areno as he told her 'don't succumb to hatred'. She would do whatever the hell she wanted.
Then the other man jumped to her, and he did this weird thing with his arm. She frowned and then let out a rather loud yawn.
He then released his zanpakuto and introduced him self as Daigoro. He charged at her and she gasped at his speed.
She did several back flips landing about thirteen feet away, and then aimed a sideways slash toward him. "Kyoushuu no Hana!" She screamed and fired the blast toward him.
Since she was at least ten feet away the blast matured and would implode if he didn't dodge. She had to admit that the man was strong. She hoped she could take care of him without taking too much damage.
