Personality: Haru is a very polite, friendly, and well-mannered person, however he does not back down from a challenge. This is evident in his many confrontations with fellow 11th division shinigami, who are the polar opposite of the friendly and social Haru. Because of his "unusual reiatsu" he must keep his energy up and thus he possesses a voracious appetite and can eat massive amounts of food in a single meal. His mind is often on food even in serious situations. He is a very loyal and protective person and has come to the aid of his friends on several occassions. He mostly remains optimistic regardless of what his situation is because of his vow to his parents to keep moving forward and not give up. Haru Suzuki is kindhearted and treasures all life - vowing to save both humans and hollows as long as he lives.

Haru has a fairly easy-going and upbeat
personality. He has put his past behind him and works hard to keep others from suffering as he did. He is loyal to his friends, but puts his missions at top priority, often recklessly putting his own life in peril. He will NEVER run away from a fight, even if he is obviously outnumbered or overpowered.

Haru wears traditional Shinigami kimono and styles it in a way so it's like a hoodie. His left eye is scarred with a strange line and his eye it completely red marking a symbol. Haru has shiny gray hair and his face looks very young. Also Haru wears a glove on his left arm to hide his hand.

Spirit's Personality: Hateshinai Ranpu has sort of a blank personality. Although unable to talke, Hateshinai Ranpu communicates in a a different matter. It telephathically sends its own thoughts into another mind and transmits light according to the mood.

Haru's zanpaktou is a little different than others. The handle is a white and black stripe and holds a picture of a gray fan symbolizing destruction for fans can represent fire. the blade itself is normal and has a white edge to it.

Shikai Description:

Release Phrase: Shine Forth, Hateshinai Ranpu!

Shikai Appearance: There is no change in the appearance of the zanpaktou. The only difference is that the blade begins to emit a very powerful light(optional).

Shikai Abilities:

Shikai Abilities: Haru has a light based zanpaktou simular to Ichinose.
Shikai Special Ability: When Kyuusei is drenched with his spiritual energy it is able to create limitless amounts of light. When Kyuusei shines it melds with all other light. When he releases it he can use that light to take control of shadows and attack his opponent with them. Kyuusei's ability also allows it to manipulate light for other various effects, such as:
Blade of Light: Dissolves his actual blade and replaces it with a blade made of pure light. If the blade is broken it can completely covers it to allow the battle to continue.
Saigyoku Nijigasumi (óôè¬ûöùÇ, Swallowing Orb of Rainbow Mist): Causes a multitude of twinkling lights to appear which then form together around an opponent creating a huge sphere which engulfs everything within a significant radius. (60-80 yards wide) b]

(Everything here is avoidable and by shadows I mean it just completely leaves no shadows, beasicly even at night in a dark alley it becomes rather bright. Also by this I mean by like just the area which Haru is in.)


Example: Haru is in the forest, he activates shikai and there are no shadows in the area of which Haru is in. If he is in the clearing of the forest, then it becomes bright and even the shadows of the forest become bright.)

Bankai Appearance:7 more of Haru's blades are formed and gather around Haru, each blade shining reiatsu onto Haru forming a coat of defense.

Bankai Abilities:Haru can now flash more and his illusions can become more wide ranged and sophisticated. The most dangerous part of this bankai is not the fancy footwork or the deception of the eye...but now Haru's Saigyoku Nijigasumi ranges 7 times wider and thicker than before. The light is twice as bright and Haru can use this technique more powerfully than before. Haru can use every particle and spec as a weapon.

Haru's new gained abillity but not named is that he can use the light and scatter it around everywhere as small balls of the light. Then Haru can move them around and weapons. Although they can be in form of knife blades without a handle, Haru perfers the balls because Haru believes the less the blood is spilled, the better.

History/Background:

Back Drop

Background:
Haru was abandoned by his parents when they figured out Haru was a monster. When Haru was born, he had an amazing abillity to manipulate and mold reiatsu. Although one of his experiements went totally wrong and it eneded with drastic affects. Haru's left eye was scarred and his left hand was brutally messed up. It was wrinkled and all red. Whenever Haru would take off his glove, his hand was glow green and mold into a huge gray arm.

Haru's parents realizing the danger, abandoned Haru. Haru grew up as an outcast in Rugonkai and desperately tried to survive. Everyday, Haru and his friends would steal food and learn many skills to survive. They learned to be swift and agile, cheat at cards to win money, and practiced fighting each other with branches they would find. When Haru grew to the point where he needed to eat more, his friends went off to get money by playing cards and would return to help Haru while Haru would steal twice as more apples and melons. Soon authorities got tired of them and Haru was on the run.

A year later, it seemed that everyone forgot about them and they returned but they didn't steal or play cards anymore. Everyday they were starving, each day they were tired. They had to learn acrobat and perform on the streets more money. Haru couldn't live a life like this, so he practiced more with sticks and branches, trying to improve his skills. When Haru and his friends made just enough money to enter the shinigami academy, Haru was a genious. Haru studied everyday and practiced everyday non-stop determined to be regonized. He never wanted to be an outcast again. Still he could feel no hope and he lost salvation. Haru gruaduated early from the academy a year earlier than his friends and obtained his zanpaktou.

Slowly light broke through Haru's dark shell as Kyuusei(Salvation) brought Haru to life. Everyday was better and each day Haru worked hard. Failing his comrades was not an option. Haru rose through his division like no other and sooner or later he would be seated. What helped Haru more was that his friends have also graduated and have moved on too. Now Haru would have to look bright and just ready himself for the future.

Haru watched as Loranx began to circle Haru, and then when all went quiet...Loranx charged. Like a wild beast Haru raised his guard and let Loranx slam and crash into Haru slashing and attacking vicously. Haru began to parry every attack and escaped some with luck. Before Loranx could recover and return with another fury of blows, Haru slid under Loranx's feet and appeared bhind him. Then pivoting to Loranxes left Haru attempted to slam the but of his handle into Loranxes shoulder and then slide the zanpaktou down his shoulder until the blade made contact with Loranxe's shoulder and cut threw his nerves. With luck Haru had made his attack succesful.

After the bleeding began to stop, Haru began to realese that Loranx was muttering something under his breath. With his guard and senses at max, Haru braced himself for whatever was to come. Haru's suspicions were correct as it seemed that Loranx has released his zanaptkou into its shikai state. This troubled Haru for he had no idea of what abillity Loranx held in his sleeve. This would be a very troublesome battle indeed.

Loranx then flashed quickly to Haru's right and then slashed his new spear at Haru's side, but Haru parried with ease as this attack was expected. Then after Loranx foolishly ran straghtfoward, Haru had ducked and delivered a strike at Loranx's mid-section. As the blood spill so the the scream of Loranx and he was driven to one knee and bow like a servant. This was something Haru hated.

Whenever it seemed that somebody bowed down against their own will to another, Haru would call this dishonorable and it completely upseted Haru whenever this was witnessed or heard. So Haru did not strike further and allowed Loranx to return to his feet. "Loranx, former vice-captain of the 9th division (making this up), you are charged with treason and must be apprehended..." Haru spoke in a very kind but stern voice. It was calm, but it had that sense of authority behind it. Haru was not somebody you would want to find as your captor.

It was getting dark and Loranx became as pissed off as a raging bull. His strong build and his gigantic size usually overwhelmed many of his enemies...why not this boy? Haru could see the emotion and the red in Loranxe's eyes and decided the battle needed to be over. As Loranx had seen this, he raised his spear and began to twirl it, sending a shockwave of electricity around the area and engulf the spear giving it a very light look. This battle would be over...

Haru saw Loranx charge and Haru foolishly while displaying a beautiful work of lightning. It was just a shame that a handsome strong young man as Loranx had to deal through this at such a young age...it was completely over...and even Loranx knew this as Haru was already behind Loranx. "Goodbye...old friend..." and with this...Haru stabbed through Loranxes heart...and Loranx lay still on the ground...motionless...lifeless...and young.

A tear dropped from Haru's face as he turned his back on his fallen friend...and began to return back to the gotei 13 barracks. You could see the light of the illusion that stuck in front of Loranx while Haru sneaked behind him dissapear. It was over.....but Loranx might be given a better life...to start all over again...maybe...just maybe...

I'm concerned at the ability to manipulate shadows as a person that uses light.

I don't see how the manipulation of light can actually control a shadow.

I'm also curious to know how many shadows can be controlled, as well as the lethality of said shadows once controlled. I'm wary of it becoming an instant army maneuver, or something that's a bit too powerful for me to allow in good conscience.

Further, some of the moves have entrapment properties.
It should be known that regardless of how you word it that all moves can be survived and/or evaded, or else that's just god moding.
If that is not acceptable, then modify the maneuvers.

Also your RP sample does not seem to have Haru Suzuki in it.
While it is good, It does not show me how you'll be handling your character.

As of now, your character application is not approved until proper modifications are made.

I'm sorry, I still don't see any explaination of how his light controls a person's shadows as opposed to banishing them, nor do I see any limitations on how much shadow he can control, nor how powerful the shadows are he controls.

Until I do, I can't approve this application as your character's powers may be abused to high degree.

Limitless light is a bit too much without a distance limitation.

For abilities, I'd preferr an exact distance instead of "Significant radius."
