History/Background:
Age: 170 (looks 20ish)
Gender: Male
Personality:
Since his youth living in Rukongai, poor Hebiza had been an outcast, an urchin, and a clown... and he embraced this. Prone to becoming bored with ease, Hebiza found ways to entertain himself and sometimes it was at the expense of others. He'd start arguments, fights, or play pranks, just because... It's better than nothing at all.Appearance:
He's sly, a bit smarmy, and an arrogant fool, he reeks of a man who tries too hard to be noticed. Inside though he's insecure, shy, and attention starved, much like he was as a young boy. He uses this arrogant clown as a mask, his way of dealing with the world and those that live in it.
Hebiza also has problems with authority, and will only listen to the orders of his superiors within his own squad, and of course, that of the Captain Commander. His unruly personality has gotten him into hot water more than a few times when butting heads against the other squads and the Onmitsukido.
Hebiza sleeps very little, plagued by nightmares he cannot remember, usually wakes flailing about, and known to wallop anyone who wakes him. Not a morning person is an understatement, he will grunt and groan instead of speak or talk in mutters for the first few hours awake.
Zanpakuto Spirit:
Standing at 5'11" with a light frame of 170 lbs., he has long black hair with the hint of green pulled into a top knot, and it's length touching his lower back. It has four ties placed intermittently down the length of the hair starting at the base of the top knot.
Most notably is his missing left arm from the shoulder. Born into Rukongai, he was missing the arm upon his arrival, which ostrasized him early on. When wearing his Shinigami uniform he let's the sleeve just hang loose, flowing behind him as he runs about.
His Zanpakuto's sheath has a harness build around it so to strap itself around Hebiza's torso, so the length of it goes down his body on his defenseless left side. The handle of the Zanpakuto pops up out of the shoulder hole in his Shinigami uniform.
His eyes are narrowed and hazel with dark rings around them from lack of sleep. He has a sharp nose and an almost too long of a smile. His grin splits his face looking almost comical and yet disconcerting. His skin is pale, almost sickly at first glance.
Kaze-Hebi (Wind Serpent)Sealed Zanpakuto:
Hebiza's Zanpakuto's spirit is a one winged snake. It's form is made up of a breeze that has collected small bits of debri, constantly flowing, faint and hard to keep your eyes on. At rare occasions it will become more physical in nature, showing off it's brilliant green jade like scales, and a rainbow of colored feathers on it's solitary wing.
His inner world is a world without a world. Nothing but skies all around, clouds drifting in all directions, when Hebiza enters this world, he is constantly falling, flailing, trying to find something to hold onto. (A statement about his personality, no true attachments with anyone) Kaze-Hebi flows through this world of blue skies with a carefree love of life.
But when Hebiza's life is turbulent, Kaze-Hebi's skies turn to storms, thunderclouds surround, lightning cracks, thunder booms, and rain showers down.
Shikai Description:
Hebiza's Zanpakuto's sealed form is that of a wakisashi. When attached via the harness, it's blade covers from shoulder to hip. The cross guard is square with four small fangs at each corner, laying down upon the hilt, pointed towards the blade. The handle has four ties along it matching those that are in Hebiza's hair.
Shikai Abilities:
Waku-Inai, Kaze-Hebi... (Slide Within, Wind Serpent)
Kaze-Hebi's Shikai form lengthens the blade of the Wakisashi to that of a long sword or Nodachi. It's blade turns a dark green, and has two small holes near the base of the blade,(representing snake bites). The four fangs of the crossguard stand upright parallel to the blade, and the four ties unravel themselves and flow in the wind.
Kaze-Hebi's blade travels through surfaces at a 25 Meter range. When the blade slides into any surface,(wall, floor, ceiling) it comes out of a different surface that Hebiza is familiar with. The length of the blade does not change however, so his strikes must be well timed and placed.Bankai Description:
(example: Hebiza slashes his blade into the wall next to him, and several feet away, it appears out of the floor at the same time, attempting to leg an opponent from a distance.)
When this "slide" occurs, no damage is done to the surfaces it phased into or out of.
Kaze-Hebi also cannot enter it's wielder Hebiza, but can exit out of him. (example: he could slash into a wall, and the blade could flash out from his body to block a blow)
The blade must go through a surface. If there is no surface to slide into, it's then just a regular Zanpakuto. (Air combat is a HUGE disadvantage)
Kaze-Hebi cannot phase into or out of a Zanpakuto, nor any other sentient being besides the aforementioned blade exiting Hebiza himself.

History/Background:
Once Hebiza was a boy alive in the real world, much like anyone else... and he, like many others, died unexpectedly. He wandered as a plus spirit, his chain dangling from his chest, and slowly but surely anguish overtook him, and his chain ate away and left a hollow space instead.RP Sample:
As a Hollow he did what any Hollow would do... hunt down and eat the souls of pluses and humans. That is until the day he came across a Quincy protecting his village.
A short battle ensued, with the Hollow fleeing for it's unlife, but a Quincy bolt had struck the creatures arm, dissolving it, and having it's spirit particles leaked away.
Not long after the Quincy incident the Hollow encountered further bad luck. A Shinigami encountered him and cut him down, slashing his mask in twine... with that the Hollow's soul was purified and eventually made it's way to Soul Society.
Upon awakening in Rukongai he found his arm missing. All those Hollows purified come back whole, but his arm was leaked away by the Quincy attack he never knew. He was never taken in by any families, he was considered a bad omen, openly treated with scorn and prejudice, viewed like a viper in their midst. He had to make due and survive off the streets of Rukongai.
He lived as an urchin and pickpocket, stealing food, or hanging clothing to survive. One day though he stole from the wrong... or right person... A Shinigami.
Of course the poor lad was caught, but the elder saw the potential for the lad, and told him he should enroll. It promised food, shelter, companionship, and structure... All the things Hebiza lacked.
His time in the academy was tough, it wasn't the classes, the work, the practice, the kidou... well maybe the kidou... but the hardest part was dealing with the people. Having been on the outside for so long, the hardest transition he had was getting used to being with people, and being accepted.
So he built his mask, of arrogance and foolery, a way to be social and yet keep everyone at arms length, hiding his true self. Which was noticed by the 2nd Division.
His years of thievery and stealth as a child were recognized as the perfect base to build from, and the 2nd squad trained him to focus on them. But Hebiza did not like to be the thief, his life as an urchin was that of necessity, he viewed his stealthy actions as something vile, that Had to be done.
He joined 2nd Squad, but refused to be part of the Stealth Unit: Onmitsukido. Of course it was alright to decline the offer from the Stealth Unit, but a few of the arrogant boisterous members give Hebiza a hard time, saying he "just couldn't cut it", or "didn't have the guts.". Though his Zanpakuto seemed perfect for that type of work, he views the assassination techniques as dishonorable, and states he'll at least look a man in the eyes when he stabs them in the back.
Upon attainment of his Shikai, Hebiza slowly began to grow in the ranks. Currently he takes his duties seriously, though he still plays at being the rebel, he executes his duties to the best of his abilities if his orders come from on high... in his squad that is. Hebiza's been demoted more than once for getting into arguments and brawls with those from other squads seated higher than himself.
He has yet to achieve his Bankai, the trick he knows, is that he must become fast enough to catch his Zanpakuto's spirit, the wind serpent, he must try to catch the wind... The way how still eludes him. He can barely see him within his inner world. Hebiza first heard Kaze-Hebi's name as a whisper on the wind while free falling through his inner world, this granted him his Shikai initially.
A lone figure appeared off in the distance of the plains, haggard and bloody, the downpour of the storm overhead drowning him as he tried to breath. His hearbeat, the only sound going through his head. All other sounds drowned out by the loud rhythmic beat in his chest. He'd been running for so long now, his legs ached with the weight of what felt like a great oak, and then his footing slipped.
Splashing into the mud he laid there gasping, the cold of the wind and rain were beginning to fade from him, and he began to feel warm, it was a lie, he was going numb... he was dying there and he didn't seem to care anymore. His heartbeat began to slow... and get slower... and slower...and was then interrupted by a horrid screech
The unholy roar in the distance behind him fanned the flames needed to keep going. He had to get back, Seretei needed to know what happened. Planting his one hand in the mud, feeling the soft earth squeeze between his finger tips, he steadied himself to stand tall and look up to the horrid skies above. This was his luck.
A flash of light, a taste of blood, and the smell of ozone filled his senses as he careened backwards hitting the ground hard and slid back in the mud several feet. Shaking his head out of his daze he looked back to where he was standing, and looming in his spot was a Hollow, the same one that had destroyed his squad members.
It stood over 8 feet tall, with long arms ending in 3 fingered hands, gangly legs in digigrade, and it's masks... yes masks... it had two. The one on it's face had vertical eye slots with the crimson glow behind them, it's nostrils that of a skull, and no mouth except a simple thin line. But it's chest held the second, and it was a great maw, void of all except teeth, the scent of iron was all over it... from the blood of his companions that stained it's rotted teeth. He had already named this type of Hollow... it was a Duos.
The Shinigami's name was Hebiza, member of the 2nd Division of the 13 Gotei Protection Squads, and he had a duty to report this new hollow to Seretei. His commander's final command was to run ahead and warn the others... that he was the quickest one and he had to leave them all behind... They said they'd hold it off till help arrived. Hebiza was too late, and it was now up to him to report, to live, to AVENGE!
The sharp sound of his Zanpakuto being drawn became drowned out as the beast howled again and charged him! Hebiza tried to dodge to the side, but his legs wouldn't obey him, the fact he could stand at all was a miracle.
It was upon him, bringing up it's mighty hand to strike. The air whistled as the Hollow's strike descended. Hebiza's legs gave out and he fell to the ground narrowly ducking under the huge fist, using the momentum from his fall Hebiza slid in the mud feet first between the thing's legs, swiping at it's ankles with his Wakisashi.
Hebiza was rewarded by a warm spray of ichor splashing upon his face and the sound of the beast wailing. The Hollow then bent over, it's head low to the ground, to clutch at it's injured legs, and Hebiza used this time to strike.
Spinning around on his knees to face the back of the Hollow he held forth his Zanpakuto.
“Waku Inai Kaze-Hebi”
Four fang like prongs stood up from the hilt and the blade began to lengthen, and the whole thing became the color of endarkened jade. Four bindings along the handle untied and loosened themselves, billowing out behind it... and two small fang holes appeared at the base of the blade.
As soon as the Shikai released, Hebiza plunged it into the earth up to it's hilt, and at that exact moment, his blade surged forth from the ground, striking the bent over Hollow in it's mask, and a distinct cracking sound was heard.
Clutching it's face, the Hollow roared up at the sky as his mask melted away, leaving behind a stub for a neck... but it did not die. The chest mask... the Maw, it began gnashing and chomping at the air blindly, trying desperately to find the Shinigami. Hebiza then made quick work, stabbing and lashing at the ground around himself, and watched as his blade flashed forth from the earth lacerating the creature's legs until the feet were severed from the thing.
But still it crawled towards him, it's meaty 3 fingered paws reached out for him... for anything, anything to put it's bite upon. But the beast soon stopped, for while it laid prone dragging itself closer and closer, Kaze-Hebi sprouted again from the dirt and cut down the maw... and Hebiza watched as it decayed away.
There Hebiza waited in the rain, letting it's cleansing waters rinse him clean of the mud and filth he had gained. Using Kaze-Hebi to help steady him, Hebiza slowly got to his feet... and began the long walk back home.
