Akio is what any teen would be, chock full of hormones and not willing to do "real" work. He often tries (with mixed success) gets out of any paperwork or duties, but jumps on any opportunity to fight a Hollow, thinking that it would make him look cooler, enjoying that part of the Shinigami duty. He often over-does his part in this, trying to make it look like far more and harder work than it is, in an attempt to further boost his standing.

Though this is his favorite of the duties, he doesn't even take that seriously. After battles, he also tends to "stretch the truth" about what happened in a fight, as well as make up excuses for any loss.. He often fools around while fighting, tending to annoy his opponents into using far more force than necessary, which complements his Zampakuto.

Despite his laziness, when he sees something he wants, or in most cases someone, he won't give up until there is no more trying.... or the restraining order is finalized.

Appearance:

Standing at 5'8", 128lbs, Akio isn't that intimidating to most, especially with his yellow hair, which sticks out (think of how Mayuri's old hat was, kinda like that. Just to clarify) on his left side. Despite ridicule, he thinks it looks "edgy", even with the pressure to change it.

His uniform is mostly normal, save his right sleeve. Whenever he kills a hollow, he makes a small cut on his sleeve. (once agian, to feed his infinite ego.)

Zanpakuto Spirit:

His Zampakuto spirit is a withered old man, somewhat deaf and nearly blind. Due to this, Akio ususally gets too annoyed with Kusari Gaika to train at all. The old man is very knowledgeable, and can give valuable advice when needed (and he isn't senile).
His inner world is a fairly large traditional Japanese garden, while cherished by Kusari, Akio generally dislikes it, save times when he needs peace and quiet.

Sealed Zanpakuto:

His sealed Zampakuto is a Renaissance Longsword, measuring 42" in length. It has a yellow pommel, and a black scabbard.
(The old type of the Zampakuto is a reflection on Kusari Gaika. He. Is. Old.)

Shikai Description:

"Shoot out, Kusari Gaika (Chained Victory)"
Kusari Gaika takes the form of a dual bladed polearm (one blade facing the opposite direction on each side).
One blade is white, the other is black.

When he releases the Zampakuto, he spins the blade in a circle, releasing it while spinning it around.

Shikai Abilities:

Kusari's abilities are melee-based, with the ability for each blade to shoot out at the opponent, reaching a maximum of 50 feet, each.
Each blade can shoot out at 20 ft/s, and come back in the same time.
Both blades can also be shot out at the same time, as well.

History/Background:

Akio lived in the 71st district of the West Rukongai, learning quickly two things.
1) Never show pain. Pain is weakness, and weakness gives somebody else the opportunity to take advantage of it. His way was to laugh off pain, no matter what the intensity.
2) Never turn down help. You don't get much help, and you should take it at any time.

He soon grew tired of the hard, ever-vigilant life, deciding that his only option out of it was to try for becoming a Shinigami.
He failed the entrance exam 4 times, barely passing the 5th time thanks to a little... "sharing of information" (Cheating, if you didn't catch on).

He progressed normally through the academy however, though still passing mediocre grades. He was assigned a squad, and took the opportunity to laze about whenever he pleased (as long as he didn't get caught).

RP Sample:

"I really did!" Akio said, following a short female member of his division.
"You did NOT beat Sosuke Aizen!" the girl yelled, pushing him back.

"I totally did! Look at this scar!" the yellow haired shinigami said back, revealing a cut on the side of his neck from when he tripped and fell on a piece of glass.
Before she could reply, a shrieking voice rung across the hills of the 3rd district of the East Rokongai. He looked in the direction of the noise, seeing a large hollow moving toward the small town.
"Now to wow you with power that defeated the dreaded Sosuke Aizen" he yelled out, lying, as he spun his Zampakuto around on his side.
"Shoot out, Kusari Gaika!" he said, releasing a dual-bladed polearm from where a longsword had formally been.

He ran up to the hollow, using Shunpo to dodge an attack. He quickly jumped on top of the Hollow, battling back his arms.
How should I defeat it in the most badass way possible? he thought, still dodging the attacks, Should I stab it through the face, or slice it in half?

Suddenly, an idea went through his head, and he threw Kutakuta Hiro through the beast's head, causing it to scream one last cry of death.

Akio took a bow, feeling triumphant, then realized the hollow was suddenly disintagrating.
"Oh... forgot about that," he said awkwardly, falling down off the hollow on the head.

He woke up a few hours later, finding himself in the 4th division.
"Wha- What happened?" Akio asked, rubbing his head.
"You fell down, pretty hard" a woman in the 4th division said, fixing his bandages, "Somebody in your division brought you here, saying something along the lines of 'unbelievable'"

"Yep, it's not everyday you get to see someone as powerful and mighty as me fighting against the Primera!" he lied, hiding it well.
The woman chuckled a bit, but quickly finished, finishing the bandages on his head.
"Sooooooooo. You seeing som-" he began, interrupted by a 'more agressive than needed' stab by a needle.

"Shikai Ability #1:
Kutakuta Hiru's main ability is to, as the name implies, leech power from the opponent. The power begins the second the Zampakuto is released, as soon as a target is chosen (A new target cannot be chosen without the blade becoming sealed and releasing it again, which is near impossible, see below), the target becomes a victim of the effect. The target's abilities are now doubled in the amount of energy they cost to use, and the extra energy is "leeched" to Aiko. This ability is not limited to special abilities, but rather any movement or anything that requires energy, though small things such as walking, running, standing, and breathing would use such little energy that it wouldn't be noticed much, at least at first.


Example (to clarify): Ichigo uses Getsuga Tensho.
Costs the same as two Getsugas would, regardless of where or if the attack lands.
Aiko gains energy equal to that of a Getsuga Tensho."

Power is unacceptable as it allows him to fight above their tier. He could theoretically godmode like feck and fight with Ichigo's power, or Aizen's. Or a Canon Vizard.
Not only that he weakens them at the same time, and makes them stronger than people like Ichigo, etc.

Nevermind the potential that he could , possibly, leech the powers off of multiple people, and become super powerful.

Thus this power can be abused.

"Shikai Ability #2: The second ability of Kutakuta Hiru is to literally "leech" the opponent's moves, though it now costs three times the energy to use for himself. The attacks can be up to just as strong as the opponents, no more. If attacks are copied that are long lasting in nature (such as Byakuya's Senbonzakura or Komamaru's Tenken), they last significantly less time.
Only abilities up to Shikai can be copied, and excluded are Ressurecion, Bankai, and Vizard's masks.

Unfortunately, the Shikai itself has a big drawback (at least initially). It needs to use 90% of Aiko's maximum energy to activate, which means that it usually needs to be used at the beginning of fights, and almost nearly stops him from using it in a consecutive fight, save if he leeched enough energy to release it again."

Isn't this in the powers FAQ? No power copying?
Why? Coz it's INSANE. I.E. This guy could copy Soifon's 2 stab kill ability.
Is THAT really fair?

Fixing. Forgot about the Power FAQ on copies, and I wasn't even too fond of the ability to begin with.

Changing the leech ability. It no longer doubles the amount of energy needed, and only absorbs 1/4 of the spiritual energy from the attack, without causing anything out of the ordinary to the opponent.
(On the power, I meant it to reach a limit when it got to his own Maximum, which he can't go pass based on others energy. And, as it did say above, it can only be used on one opponent at a time).
