Skill Level: Swordsmanship: Intermediate
Skill Level: Shunpou: Advanced
Skill Level: Hand-to-hand: Beginner
History/Background:
Age: 117
Gender: Male
Personality:
J.D. is a very boisterous person. He is always on a euphoric high, and is only brought down in times of deep seriousness. He is always very teasing, and very friendly, never meaning to hurt someone emotionally. He is always trying to put an optimistic spin on things. However, he has a sensitive spot on his life before the shinigami academy, and if asked any questions, he becomes solemnly silent and calm again. If he is insulted on his life before entering the academy, he will usually snap, bringing out a darker side in him. He will also complain a lot on work and other stuff, but he will work his hardest no matter what. Unfortunately, he is very forgetful. He will forget some things all the time, but can remember others clear as a tack. His sense of justice is very strong, and will always help out someone in need.Appearance:
Jon is unusually tall, at 6'3". He has medium length, dirty blonde hair. His hair is very curly, and he has a curl on the front of his face that will bounce up and down if not moved to the side. He has an unexplained scar extending from his left eyebrow. It has defied all healing efforts so far. He is fine with wearing the normal shinigami clothing, but when he isn't, you will always catch him in something blue.Zanpakuto Spirit:
J.D.'s zanpakuto spirit is a woman, dressed up as a business woman. She wears a black suit with a black skirt. She has glasses, and medium length blonde hair. She is what brings down J.D.'s euphoric high. she is his "voice of reason," Always contemplating statistics and figures. However, she gets insanely jealous whenever J.D. gets around girls, especially if they have big breasts. She will act like J.D.'s business partner, always showing him the pros and cons of every move, even if it's insignificant. She is usually calm and collected, and assumes that J.D. is hers. As such, whenever they talk, she will usually use at least one untamed advance on him. She rarely takes anything J.D. says for what it's worth, if it's personal, she'll overvalue it and remember it forever, anything else she'll usually ignore and carry on with what she was doing. The inner world is like an office setting, with strange charts lining the walls. She is often seen talking on the phone, but this is strange since there is noone else in the realm.Sealed Zanpakuto:
The sealed version of the zanpakuto is 63 cm long, a smaller katana in retrospects. The handle is a slight bowl-shaped circle, kind of like a fencing sword, but only slightly so. There is a dark blue ribbon tied to the hilt of the sword.Shikai Description:
With the call of "Suitoru, Hanguri-Fujo"(Absorb, Hungry Shrine Maiden), the zanpakuto will transform into a bo staff with skinny needles that have sharp edges. They can potrude up to 15 cm, and can be retracted down to 1 cm, where they will start at each battle. There is one at each end. The bo staff itself is as long as any other bo staff without the needles: 1.82 m, or 5.96 ft.Shikai Abilities:
The general ability of Hanguri-Fujo is that it creates an extra charge of reiryoku when anyone other than J.D. touches the Bo staff. This will work through clothing, as well as skin touch. It will absorb 5% of reiryoku with the blunt end of the staff per post, and 10% with the serrated needle ends. Hollow bone is unaffected by this, and it must be pierced to the flesh.Bankai Description:
The first ability, Kidou Battery, is using the energy stored in the bo staff to increase the amount of kido attacks J.D. can use. It does NOT increase the kido that can be cast, and it does NOT increase the potency of the kido. it is used as a battery, and once started taking the energy from the bo staff, J.D. cannot drain any mor energy until the bo staff is depleted.
The second ability, Life Battery, uses the energy to heal himself. Out of combat, with the ability to concentrate, the bo staff would be able to heal most wounds short of mortal and lost limbs. In battle, it would be used to heal minor cuts and bruises, and stop bleeding to major cuts, as well as dull the pain. This would require a fully charged bo staff, however.
The third ability is called Ubercharge. When the "battery" is full, J.D. can then use it for an extra stamina boost. It will fuel up the body with extra adrenaline and increase the max fighting potential for 4 posts. After that, the battery is fully drained, and leaves a "downer" affect on J.D. This is also an ability that can be used on another person, but they must be within a 100 meter radius around J.D.

History/Background:
J.D. was never given any last name. He was only given the name J.D. because of what it stood for: Just Die. As he was very young, too young to remember anything, he was hunted for his very life. He was taken from place to place in secret runways by his mother in order to protect him from his father, a wicked man. There was a brief respite in a safe haven, in which J.D. was taught basic fighting skills. However, he didn't want to enter into conflict with anyone, and would always prefer running away when someone was after him.RP Sample:
Unfortunately, one time his father's men cornered him, and he was forced to fight back. He did, and won the battle. He let the man live, and J.D. continued on his way. He realized that if he wanted to become free, he would have to fight his way out. He would steadily become stronger through his training as his father continued chasing him. As J.D. got stronger, he left his mother so she would be safe, and he even started treating this as some kind of game, limiting himself at times in order to make it more fun. Unfortunately, his father himself went after him. It turned out that he was a shinigami, and had accidentally had J.D. out of wedlock. To him, J.D. was a mistake, and had to be eliminated. As they fought, however, J.D.'s father realized that J.D. had great spritual enrgy suppresed in side of him. As he came to this conclusion, he had finally defeated J.D. But instead of taking his life, he put him in front of the seretei with a sign saying, "Take me in." This is how J.D. managed to start out as a shinigami.
During the academy, J.D. forgot almost entirely of his past life. He made new friends, new enemies, and just had a fun time. He was always lagging behind in classes, even though he aced all the tests easily. He would always take the most interests in kidou classes. Those were the only ones he would keep continually high grades in. However, there was one chance encounter whith his father while he was still in the academy. As he was exploring the seretei, he ran into his father on accident. Through this, he found that his mother had died, through no fault of his father. However, J.D. didn't believe him, and the continued on with the fight that had originally started long ago. In the middle of the battle, his father was beating down on J.D., and knocked him unconscious. During this, J.D. had awakend his shikai. Within a few seconds, J.D. woke up. He then continued to battle his father in which resulted in a tie, without his father unleashing his shikai. At the end, all managed to be amended. There was a brief time where J.D. was calm and collected, as well as slightly depressed, but as he graduated from the academy, he was back to his normal boisterous self. However, he still has absolutely no idea what his initials are for.
J.D. was finally glad for his day off from shinigami academy. He found it really boring, but he knew that if he wanted to help stand up for justice, he would have to become stronger. As J.D. was wandering around aimlessly, the blank walls of the seretei surrounded him. He was looking in all directions, except for in front of him. That is why he ran into someone. J.D. fell down. He looked up and started apoligizing. "Sorry for that, I-"
He stopped. In front of him was his father. He was holding something in his hand, but J.D. could not see what it was. His father turned around and faced him. He bowed his head, and said, "I'm sorry." In his hand was J.D.'s mother's ribbon.
J.D. was shocked. he stood up and took the ribbon from father's hand, and walked away a few steps. Tears came to his eyes as he remembered his dear mother, always trying to protect him. He had left her to protect her, yet she still had died. He looked up at his father. He must have done this, J.D.'s anger rose. He tied the ribbon to his zanpakuto, and then put his hand on the hilt. He turned to face his father.
"Why did you do this to her?!" Jon demanded in an angered tone.
"I have done nothing to her, as I never would have." He answered, looking down. "It was a sad thing that she died for both of us."
"Why wouldn't you want to kill her? She had borne me, proof of your mistake. You had tried to kill me for nearly all of my life!" He was feeling the tears drip down his face.
"Who do you think put you in here? It was me! I could have killed you, but instead, I noticed your powers, and put you in here! I could have killed you when you were weak, but now you have become strong again. It was not my fault that your mother was weak."
This snapped something inside J.D. He rushed forward with a guttural scream and slashed out at his father. His father deftly blocked the sword. J.D. kept on going after him, strike after strike. His father was blocking blows, until he mad a parry. Now J.D. was on the defensive. He was having trouble stopping all of the blows coming after him. Jon tried to go for a counterattack, but he missed. This gave his father the chance to strike back. He hit J.D. hard on the back of the head, just enough to knock him out. J.D. blacked out as his father said, "Confront me when you are stronger."
J.D. looked around. He was in some kind of office building. He couldn't see anything outside, since there were no windows. However, there were some strange lanterns above him, creating light so he could see. There were strange charts and graphs covering the walls, which J.D. could make no sense of. He saw no one inside, but htere was a door in front of him. J.D. decided to go inside.
He opened the door. He walked in. Inside, was more of the same as in the last room, but smaller. And in the middle of the room, was a big wooden desk. Papers were littered over the desk, making no sense at all. Behind the desk was a woman sitting in a big fluffy chair. She was wearing a black suit with a black skirt. She was wearing glasses, and with medium length blonde hair. She looked up when he came in.
"Do you have an appointment?" She said in a condescending tone.
"Uhhh, no. I didn't realize I needed an appointment to come here," J.D. said back, confused. "Where is here, anyways?"
She gave an exasperated sigh. "Don't be silly, J.D." She said with a giggle. "You are in your inner world." J.D. remembered about something like that coming up in shinigami school. "You are lucky, though. I have no other appointments to take care of today, so you can come on in."
J.D. gave her a blank stare. 'So what exactly am I doing here?"
The woman shook her head exasperatingly. " You are here because you need power, obviously. What else did you think, that we could have tea time?" She continued. "I can give you power, but we have to cut a deal. It will not be easy. After all, it is, a dog eat dog world out here."
J.D. stared at her blankly. "Ok, what is it that you want to deal for?"
She stood up. "What I want," she started, "is for you to take care of me. Know me," She came around the desk, "use me, thank me, talk to me, pleasure me." She finished with a poke to his chest. "But most importantly, know my name. This will not be easy for you, and if I feel that you have broken your part of the deal, I will take it back. All of it."
J.D. backed up from the woman. "OK, I will agree to that."
She looked at him. "Say it with conviction!" She said, staring at him.
He stood up straight, and raised his voice, saying, "I agree to the terms that you have laid out!"
The woman smiled. "Good," she said. " My name is.."
"Suitoru, Hanguri-Fujo!" J.D. shouted as he woke up. The sword in his hand changed to a bo-staff! At the end, there were small needles slightly potruding out of it, very skinny, but sharp. J.D. stood up, thumping the end of the bo staff on the ground. His father turned around, suprised. "I'm stronger now, father. Can I confront you again?" J.D. said as he smiled. With that, his father unsheathed his sword again preparing it for battle.
They both charged at each other, blade against bo staff. as the weapons clashed, none could over power the other. They both stopped after the clashes, breathing hard. Finally, J.D.'s father unsheathed his sword. He spoke. "You are truly my son. I am proud of you." He then walked off while J.D. stood there, holding his bo staff.
