Arrancar Application

--------------------
General Information
--------------------
Name: Doku Avispa (Poisonous Wasp)
Actual Age: 333
Appearing Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Arrancar
Rank: Fraccion (Numeros)
Number: 96
Appearance
Doku likes to pride himself on his appearance. He considers his face quite attractive, with medium length blonde hair, and a Caucasion skin tone. His eyes are a particularly striking feature in his face, as they are different colors, and neither is particularly normal. Doku's left eye is a stunning violet in color, and a bit of an eye catcher. His right eye is a steel grey. This combination results in much of the attention paid to him being on his face, most specifically his eyes. His mask fragment runs alongside the right side of his face, a slim bony ridge that runs along his orbital bone, surrounding his right eye, but stops halfway, leaving the arrancar with a crescent surrounding his eye. When Doku smiles, one particular trait that becomes moderately noticeable is that he has small pointed fangs in place of his incisors, that look as though they could rip into living flesh with ease.
Doku stands relatively short, being only around 5’6 in height. His frame is somewhat slender and he is usually clothed in a somewhat traditional arrancar uniform. His top, however, is somewhat changed. His top resembles something of a jacket, white in color, with the left hand sleeve missing entirely, exposing Doku’s bare arm. On his right, however, the sleeve is long and even manages to overtake Doku’s hand somewhat.
On the inside of this sleeve, however, Doku wears a leather strap around his forearm which carries the sheath for his zanpakuto—a Kris dagger. Because of this sheath, and the sleeve design, Doku is able to stealthily slip his zanpakuto into his hand without an opponent noticing easily.
Doku fixes his obi quite typically—a simple sash worn around his waist to keep his top closed. His pants are cut slightly short about midway down the shin, where he then wears the traditional black socks and sandals. On the back of his top, Doku has written the Kanji for “Poison” customizing his apparel considerably, while still trying to maintain the arrancar uniform. Rather notable is that Doku bears no scars anywhere on his body—a somewhat unusual trait for a Numeros level that’s been around as long as he has. Also notable, is the silver chain Doku wears around his neck, that slides down to about the center of his chest, where-- should his top be particularly loose on that day, one would be able to make out an iron pendant at the end of the chain.
Doku's hollow hole is relatively small-- only around the size of a cherry, and located in the middle of his abdominals. Like most hollow holes it is fairly featureless. Just a small round hole in the middle of his abdominals. However, due to Doku's decision to tie his obi tightly, to keep his top closed, this is something that is rarely seen.
Personality
Doku is loyal and prideful. He can be quite vain about himself at times, liking to see himself (and all arrancar) as higher than any non-arrancars, such as shinigami, humans and even hollows. He has a tendency to refer to other arrancar as his “brothers” or his “sisters” reflecting an attitude of close kinship with others of his race, even if it is unreciprocated. His vanity does not merely extend to race though, but to his appearance as well. Doku likes to perceive himself as attractive, and his customizations to the arrancar uniform as rather creative and original. Those who think otherwise will often be met with harsh words from the arrancar, or be outright ignored as Doku turns his attention away from such simpletons, who cannot grasp his visions of grandeur.
But Doku is very loyal. He is proud of his position as a Fraccion, and to his commanding Espada he bears utmost loyalty, surpassing that of any other, including Aizen himself. Indeed, Doku would not take an order from the shinigami King of Hueco Mundo, even if spoken to him directly, if it would contradict an order given to him by his commanding Espada. This devotion to his commanding Espada will border even on fanaticism. To Doku Avispa, his master’s word is law, and he merely follows the rules. However, this is not to say that he would dare to disobey a direct order from Aizen. No, he will obey the will of any arrancar that ranks higher than him, as well as orders from Aizen or Gin. It is merely that to Doku, his Espada's orders take precedent. Fortunately for him, conflicts in such orders virtually never occur, and thus Doku has not yet been punished for this.
But Doku isn't all seriousness. In truth he has a fairly laid-back personality most of the time, when speaking with other arrancar. In fact, he has, on multiple occasions displayed a flirtatious side to his personality, being unafraid to hit on female arrancar-- even those that outrank, or are just generally more powerful than himself. Even the threat (or the act) of violence against him has been unable to dissuade him. Ironically, enough, it is possible he does this as an irritant, as somebody actually returning his advances has the odd effect of actually unnerving Doku; as though he did not expect it, nor has any knowledge of how to respond to it. That said, he also tends to have an intuitive sense to know when someone is faking it to try and make him go away, and will manage to continue his ploy well against acts like these.
Despite this, Doku does not make friends easily. He makes aquaintences fairly often, but anyone he can truly call a friend is rare. While he believes in coordination and harmonious interaction with his fellow arrancar, he doesn't believe that reliance on them will serve him well, and thus, while he may be cordial to his fellow arrancars, even warm to them; he will attempt to keep his distance so that he doesn't risk growing too attached to them, and expects others to do the same to him. Nonetheless, he isn't immovable, and there have been the rare occasions when someone has broken through his thin wall and Doku has been able to truly call them a friend.
Towards anyone he considers a foe, however, Doku opens up a whole new facet of his personality, and is revealed to be a sadistic individual. Doku doesn't like fighting. He doesn't even necessarily like winning. He likes hurting. It amuses him to no end to see a foe laid low by a blow, and writhe in agony. Or else to see despair fill their faces when they realize they have lost. It is sights such as that which Doku lives for, and as a scout and spy, Doku has been able to see such sights with a regular consistancy.
History
Doku can remember little of his history as a human, but what little he can recall, he remembers wasps. The study of them, and a deep passion for them. He would study them day in, and day out, until one fateful day in which some teenagers in the neighbourhood, decided it would be funny to hit a wasps next with stones while Doku was studying the inhabitants. The wasps attacked the nearest living thing which happened to be Doku. A young man with an allergy to their stings, Doku received a massive number of stings and died before help could arrive. Much of these memories is blurred and difficult to discern, but even if he could recall them, Doku would likely not have cared.
Doku's true memories begin as a plus. He remembers little of his life prior, but his true memories begin as a plus. Mostly, he simply remembers a helpless anger. A rage. He saw them come. An ambulance and some police officers came. They stuffed his body into a bag and carried it off. In fact, Doku has lost all memory of what his human form originally looked like. But the anger would forever remain firmly rooted in his memory. Anger and pain. Not merely emotional pain, but physical pain as well. As the days wore on, and his rage grew greater and greater, his chain broke away link by link. Doku gradually began to come to terms with his death, and his emotional pain slowly ebbed away. But his anger never truly subsided.
He would hear from the occasional passing soul that there were those called "shinigami" who would allow him to pass on to the afterlife. And for a short time, Doku's hopes rose with the possibility of salvation from what felt like an endless hate. Endlessly reminded of the crime that killed him, everytime he saw those teenagers pass his house. Or rather, what HAD been his house. It was no longer his, for it had been sold to another family not long after his death.
But the area in which Doku had died was far from the hub of spiritual activity that Karakura would become, and shinigami were regretfully rare in his region. Though Doku didn't know it, the odds of a shinigami coming across him would be slim.
Near to a month had passed, and Doku saw his chain had almost come to its end, deteriorating down to the last links, and the hope that had, for a time, held off his anger, faded away, replaced by a hatred many times worse than what he had originally felt. There were no shinigami. There was no peace in death. There was only lies, deceit, pain... and this agonizing hate. At last Doku let out a scream of fury, and his chain crumbled into nothing, leaving only a hole. And Doku became a hollow.
Upon completing his transformation, Doku ironically took on the form of that which he had built his life around, and had ultimately ended that same life. A wasp-type hollow and commenced his work in the usual way... preying on various unfortunate humans, starting with the teenagers that had been the cause of his death, along with the family that had moved into his house. He tore them limb from limb, listening to their frightened cries with glee as he exacted his revenge upon them-- killing them and then devouring their mortified souls. He had no idea any longer what they had done. All he could recall was an intense hatred surrounding them. A hatred that he acted upon, and an unexplainable glee at their suffering and demise.
As a hollow, Doku was particularly vengeful, avenging any wrong against him with a suitable punishment-- that is, to devour the one who wronged him. He would even do this to other hollows, given the chance. Time passed, and things became routine for Doku. He eventually grew to a state in which he could have devoured shinigami as well, if he so chose, and he often did.
Doku began to evolve, of course, as many hollows did, into a Gillian type Menos, merging with other hollows in a massive eating frenzy. Before Doku knew it, he had gained vast power, and had managed to do so without being devoured in turn. He was in control! But his hunger never seemed to be sated, and so Doku continued to devour, and devour...
Eventually, Doku encountered Las Noches, and was taken into Aizen's forces, and turned from a meager hollow, into an arrancar. And so, the new Doku Avispa was born. But despite his rebirth, the changes were not yet done. Doku was forced to undergo painful experiments, to serve as a scout force in Aizen's army-- a source of intel, and so the arrancar was forcibly molded as such in his abilities. He was given high level regeneration, so that he could survive to return to Los Noches and inform others of what he had learned. He was given the power to go places no others could, to learn secrets from the enemy when they did not believe they were being overheard. Doku Avispa at last had a purpose-- and he revelled in it.
At this point he was given an Espada to serve under. Doku saw this Espada as an extention of his purpose. No, not an extention. As time passed by, it occurred to Doku that his master WAS his purpose. His purpose was to serve them to the best of his abilities. If he perished in the fulfillment of their orders then so be it. That would be his end, and he would no longer have to search for a cause to fight for any longer.

Arrancar Abilities
Regeneration
- Description - Doku is blessed with extremely high level regenerative abilities. While the speed at which he regenerates is comparable to any ordinary arrancar (though perhaps slightly faster) the scope of his healing is remarkable. Doku is capable of regenerating from horrendous injuries that almost no others could live through; even bypassing the regular vulnerabilities that an arrancar's regeneration has (ie. vital organs must remain undamaged). So long as Doku's mask fragment remains intact, he can regenerate himself even if he were to be torn to pieces.
The process can be sped up by gathering his body parts together, as they will reattach faster than other forms of regeneration. Though not instantaneous, lost limbs can be reattached in as short a timeframe as ten minutes, though, as stated again, this is merely reattachment, and the wounds will remain open, until they close normally.
How quickly Doku regenerates is directly proportional to the severity of the wounds he recieves, reattachment of limbs notwithstanding (see description). While he is capable of regrowing body parts that have been completely destroyed this is a slow process. The complete regeneration of an arm will often take roughly two weeks to complete, the new appendage slowly constructing itself from the stump of his prior arm. Minor injuries, such as simple cuts or bruises, will heal at a normal rate for an arrancar, often healing up within the day, with deeper injuries taking slightly longer.- Type- Passive
- Range Doku is the only one affected by this ability.
- Limitations- Should the mask be destroyed prior to “killing” Doku, it will have no power, and Doku will lose his immortality until it regenerates. The mask will regenerate over time, depending on the damage. A small crack may take as little as an hour or two to repair itself. Complete destruction may take several weeks. Unless the mask is completely intact, Doku cannot regenerate himself, and were he to be killed prior to regeneration; the mask’s regeneration would stop indefinitely. If the mask is destroyed after Doku has suffered a serious injury, then its abilities will cease.
As mentioned above, this is far from an instantaneous process however, and were such injuries to occur, it could take Doku several weeks to pull himself back together, making this ability more of a survival tool than one that is practical in combat. Should Doku be in a state that would normally kill him (eg. Being torn completely apart) then he will fall into a coma-like state until his body has restored itself enough to support life. This ability is restricted, however, to physical damage. Other causes of death, such as strangulation, drowning, or poison (besides Doku’s own) still apply as normal.
Wasp’s Eye View
- Description- In line with his intended role as an informant and scout, Doku has a unique ability. By removing his right eye from its socket, Doku crushes it, and it will immediately reform itself in the form of a steel gray wasp, just short of 2 inches in length. Doku then may see everything through its eyes and sense everything through it—all of its senses are comparable to Doku’s own. Sight, sound, touch, taste, and smells are all presentable to him, with all their inherent advantages and disadvantages (ie. he can still feel pain, smell particularly awful aromas, etc.)
With this ability, Doku is able to travel places without fear of detection, or risk to himself. This is not to say he cannot be detected, but merely that most people will not take note of him. Like any wasp, his wings make a distinctive buzzing sound as he flies about, and he can be seen as well. But many will discount this form or ignore it, enabling him to fulfill his role.- Type- Activation
- Range- The wasp may travel up to ten kilometers from the main body, though the technique will end immediately if it is killed, Doku deliberately ends the technique, or something happens to Doku’s main body (see below). It will also end if the wasp passes the maximum range it can be from Doku's body as it will die instantly.
- Limitation - This form is completely incapable of combat abilities. Although it can sting someone like an ordinary wasp, its sting is not life threatening, or even incapacitating, and only capable of causing pain (as well as some swelling around the sting point). Aside from the fact that Doku uses it to spy, and its odd coloration, it is effectively a normal wasp, with no special durability or anything of the sort. Additionally, while this technique is in use, Doku’s main body enters a coma-like state and his regenerative abilities cease to function, leaving himself extremely vulnerable in the duration of the technique. Doku is also limited in just how long he can maintain the technique-- up to a maximum of two hours, before the wasp dies.
The technique also cannot cross through dimensions (from Hueco Mundo to the human world for example) unless the portal between them is kept open. The instant such a connector is closed, Doku will lose his connection with his scout and it will die instantly.
Additionally, Doku's eye doesn't immediately regrow at the conclusion of the technique. Instead he must wait for it to regrow naturally, via his regeneration; a process that will take three to four days.

Zanpakutō
--------------------
Name: Volatil Pinchar
Translation - Flying Stinger
Call Out Phrase: "Pierce them!"
Translation -
Appearance
When Doku has chosen not to release his zanpakuto, it takes the form of a Kris dagger. The weapon is roughly 15 inches in length and built with a flame-pattern blade. The handle of the blade is covered in glossy black leather to improve the grip, with a cone shaped pommel, that may double as an unexpected second point. The guard is quite short, only 3 inches on either side of the blade. The kris has an extremely sharp point, and the flame patterned blade allows it to be used for excruciatingly painful slashing attacks. Additionally, this pattern causes wounds inflicted by the dagger to be particularly savage, ripping and tearing at a wound as Doku removes the weapon from the body.
--------------------
Resurrección
--------------------
Appearance
Upon Doku Avispa’s release, his mask grows out to expand, completely surrounding both eyes like a helmet, and covering his nose, and resembling a mask. His teeth elongate themselves into jagged fangs. Two bony ridges extend from his shoulder blades, acting like pauldrons and a long tail-like appendage extends from the point at which they connect behind his back. This appendage is roughly five feet in length, and about six inches in diameter, and tipped with a barbed stinger.
In addition, a similar bony substance extends from the shoulder guards down Doku’s arms and over his chest, creating a plated armor of sort in those regions. This substance completely covers Doku’s arms, and his fingers become deadly pointed claws. Underneath each claw, is a short, thick needle, roughly one inch in diameter and tapering into a point, and about eight inches in length. These needles can be fires like projectiles at foes.
Besides these changes, for the most part, Doku does not undergo much of a transformation, and still retains his humanoid form. The bony ridges covering his body are extremely hard, particularly on his arms and “tail” allowing him to use these limbs to block incoming blows from a bladed weapon without injury—provided that his opponent is of a comparable level to Doku. Someone of even a single tier higher may be able to break through this covering with repeated blows, and someone of two tiers higher will be able to cut through it in only one to two strikes. The covering on his chest is less protective, and while it may weaken a blow, it is likely that a blow strong enough to penetrate it, will still cause Doku harm. Even enough blows from someone of his own rank may prove capable of breaking through his tail and armor, though they would need to be heavy blows. Light taps won't be smashing Doku's weapons apart so easily.
Abilities
RegenerationThis ability is automatic, and therefore Doku has no control over it. Even if he might desire to remain in his released state, if the conditions are met, he cannot do so.
- Description of Attack – Doku has lost his regenerative abilities in his Resurrection. Instead, if Doku were to be injured to the point that his life would be in danger, his zanpakuto will automatically revert and shatter his Resurrection, forcing him into his sealed form. If his mask has taken any damage it will be repaired in the transformation back, allowing him to use his zanpakuto’s power. Any other injuries suffered while released will not go away.
- Type - Passive
- Range - Centralized to Doku
- Limitation -
Projectile
Type- Offensive
Range- roughly thirty meters at its maximum.
Limitations- These stingers are one-shot only weapons. Once fired, the only way for Doku to recover them would be to seal his Resurrection and then release it a second time. Even if retrieved, they cannot be refired at a target, though they could be thrown (this is considerably less powerful, however as well as slower and less accurate).

Sample Post

In the depths of Las Noches, something stirred. Roused from his slumber great Cthulhu-- oh wait. No. Getting things mixed up. Doku arose from his sleep feeling unusually invigorated. He looked around his quarters. The room around him reflected his personality. Although the same cold white as the rest of Las Noches, Doku had done what he could to improve the look of the room, as well as subconsciously reflect his vanity, by the abundance of mirrors in the room. Approaching one such full length mirror, Doku gazed at his appearance in the mirror. He had to make himself look presentable for his master.
He was to be assigned a new mission, he knew, and had to be prepared. He adjusted his hair in the mirror and straightened his jacket, admiring his appearance. Classy? No. Not classy, he acknowledged this. Artistic. Creative. Yes. That was it. That was just the right word. Artistic and creative. A veritable piece of art. That was the word for his uniform. Doku gave his reflection a self satisfied smirk, as he turned away from it, perhaps with a hint of reluctance, as though unwilling to part from his vanity. But his master was far more important, and Doku swept out of his quarters into the hallway.
Upon entering entering the hallway, Doku barely managed to avoid colliding headfirst with another arrancar who had been passing his quarters. The other arrancar let out an angered hiss at him, and shot Doku a glare. Doku raised his hands peaceably, a compliant expression on his face. "Apologies, my brother." He responded calmly. "But perhaps you should have kept your senses open, and you'd have heard me." He added, in an almost condescending tone. And why should he not speak so condescendingly to him. They were both arrancar, but Doku was a Fraccion of the finest of the Espada. This lowlife was a meager Numeros. Oh yes, they were brothers in arms, but Doku would never dream of considering them on the same tier.
Doku gave a look over the arrancar, a twisted smirk appearing on his features. And a poor dresser too. He added in his head, but had no wish to further aggravate this arrancar. Doku took a submissive appearance to avoid a conflict, bowing to him quietly, and then immediately turning on his heel and walking away. He could pick up on his brother's irritation, but expected nothing of it. Besides. He had more important things to attend to.
Doku strode through the halls of Las Noches towards his master's chamber where he expected the Espada to be awaiting him. And it would be best not to be late. He stopped before his master's doorway, and paused before it, awaiting permission to enter. He knew that if his master lay within, then his presence had already been sensed, and he would be admitted when his master determined him to be admitted. There was no need to announce the obvious fact that he was there.
