General Information
--------------------
Name: Toshioni Sarungekki
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance
Toshioni stands 5'6" and weighs 130 lbs. He has blonde hair that he allows to lay straight on his head and form not-so-subtle parts in its orientation. He has light brown eyes and a pale complexion. His face is rather thin and comes down to a point. He has a relatively unpronounced jaw.
His torso is very thin, with minimal muscle tone. His chest and abdomen add to the feeling that he is simply lanky. Toshioni's back, however, has three long scars running down it. These scars aren't fresh or recent, they just appear white and seem to extrude (ever so slightly) from his flesh. They are cool to the touch, and emit an evil presence from them.
His arms and legs are both thin and long. Toshioni's hands are scarred (mainly in the fingers) but his palms have some scarring of their own. The fingers themselves are thin and long, and appear ideal for fitting into tight places. His fingernails are very neat and clean, and he prides himself on hygiene and appearances. Toshioni has very small feet, a matter about which he snaps about greatly.
Toshioni generally wears bright colors, mainly yellow. He does this to be the center of attention for he enjoys this most of all. He accessorizes with a wristband that has a black-and-white checkerboard pattern, as well as a three-pointed star that generally ends up tangled with this band. Both of the above are worn on his left wrist.
Personality
Toshioni likes to be the center of attention, he craves it. He has the antics of a general class clown, and the "bravado" of your typical "ladies' man". Toshioni fancies himself the most clever person he knows among the most attractive and charming. Despite his constant need for pranks and chaos, he refrains from violence in his shenanigans.
Toshioni likes to draw. It is one of the few activities he sits still for. He often sits under a tree and draws pretty girls that walk by. Toshioni often shows the women their "portraits" accompanied by him saying "This is how I think you'd look naked." He follows up by asking to compare his prediction, which typically always results in him getting smacks. He doesn't sit still in school, often stating "I'll be famous anyway, why does any of this matter?" Despite this, he has an almost photographic memory and does very well on tests.
Toshioni is a borderline pacifist. He does not raise his hand to another even in a joking matter, but, he has been known to defend himself. He is solemn in a fight, rarely talking other than to point out the other person's mistakes. This is rare for him, but the only other time he is solemn is when he looks at the three-pointed star on his wrist. This, for some reason, makes him silent and thoughtful.
Toshioni is extremely protective of two things. The star on his wrist, and his mother. He uncharacteristically obeys her almost every whim and pampers her when she insists that he doesn't. He goes out of his way to protect her from things that are simply absurd. He shoots menacing looks at male store clerks who are simply trying to be friendly. Because of this, his mother does not get much male company, which is how he likes it.
He considers everyone his friend, and as thus tries not to change his attitude towards anyone. However, he does mentally acknowledge that some people are closer to him than others. These are people to whom he may confide his obscure fears and may let the false sense of bravado that everyone else sees fail. Toshioni says that he is the friend of the world, and anyone else who wants him.
Toshioni, like anyone else, has several quirks. These may make him sort of a left-handed monkey wrench to some, to others it may add character. Despite his rantings about his machismo and how he fears nothing, he is extremely arachnophobic and hydrophobic, with a slight case of claustrophobia. He also dislikes when people abbreviate words for almost any reason except for a company's anagram or words like "laser". If he sees anyone writing with poor grammar, he makes it a priority to point it out. The greatest of these quirks is his liking to be upside down. When he's not drawing, he tends to hang from a tree upside down, or hang from the roof of his house in this manner.
Toshioni loves the color yellow. He likes it most in its most vibrant forms, and models his wardrobe as such. He wears mostly yellow when he can, and will often compliment it with white. His diet mainly consists of seafood and sushi. He thinks fish have little more to aspire to than food, and as such has little problem eating them. He also loves rice and noodles to accompany his seafood, and hates vegetables.
Toshioni has since lost his confidence as a Quincy. He doubts his utility since he was utterly defeated by Xuan and had to be rescued by Hachi. He often considers just giving up on being a Quincy and simply being a human. He also wishes to spend more time doing things like trying to find out the name of that Native American beauty who sometimes haunts his mind.
History
Part I-Birth
Toshioni was born in a hospital to two loving parents. He had a natural birth, no drugs were involved. However, halfway into the labor, he began to do something strange. As a baby being delivered, he made a twitching motion. This motion, actually allowed him to "wiggle" out into the world. Because of this, his father named him Toshioni "Clever Demon".
Part II-Early Life (3-8)/Death of Father
Toshioni grew up loved, but not spoiled. His family did not have a whole lot to spare, but they raised him well and provided for him as best they could. Little did he know, both his father and mother were Quincies. As he was very little, he began to show spiritual development. He would cry when hollows were close, and he would tremble around spirits. He did, however, grow out of this trend of trembling, as the spirits became more and more frequent.
One day, at age six, Toshioni was playing in a graveyard, outside of Karakura Town. Incidentally, a hollow was lurking nearby. Sensing Toshioni's faint and weak reiastu, it began to attack. Luckily, Toshioni's father was behind him and was able to incapacitate the hollow. His father remained alert, however, as the spike in reiastu caused many hollows to swarm to the location.
Fighting from all sides, the hollows were able to gain inch by inch as Toshioni's father struggled to fight them off. But, he was wearing thin. They were about to be overrun. Toshioni's mother arrived just in time to see her husband fall and the hollows begin to swarm at her son. She was able to clear a path to Toshioni and then use Hirenkyaku to escape.
A small memorial to the husband and father was held between Toshioni and his mother (Kyu). His spirit was remembered and his Quincy cross retrieved by Kyu. She then gave said cross to Toshioni as something to remember his father by, as he would barely remember the man. The cross itself was a three pointed silver star that dangled off a small silver chain. Toshioni wore it as a necklace for the next few years.
Part III- Pre-Teen Years (8-12) and Discovery of Powers
After the death of his father, Kyu gave Toshioni one rule, never to go to the cemetery where his father died without her. He followed this rule until the time he was eleven. With his mother working double shifts at her firm, he became very lonely. Eventually, then loneliness could no longer be contained by will alone. He found himself venturing to that cemetery, alone.
Toshioni sat at the spot where his father died, and small tears were brought to his eyes. He sat there are cried and prayed alone for a few hours, not noticing his reiastu slowly building as he did. Eventually, a rather nasty hollow appeared and began to skulk into Toshioni's view.
When he saw it, he jumped up and began to run back to civilization. Eventually, Toshioni tripped over his own clumsy feet and found himself staring down the dirt. The hollow was moving to fast and skimmed his back with its claws, causing the scars he has today. The hollow came for a second pass at Toshioni. He began to panic, and looked around. He saw that his necklace had fallen.
Toshioni grabbed the tri-pointed star with his left hand and hoped to run. However, at touching the Quincy cross, his own bow appeared. If was a weak-tinted bow, and was barely sustained by Toshioni's weak reiastu. Toshioni remembered his father fighting off hollows and made the split-second decision to fire against his attacker. He used his right hand to shoot a weak-hearted shot at the hollow.
The shot hit the hollow in the neck, although did not fully pierce. The hollow was enraged, but not severely injured. It charged at him, but Kyu was able to intervene by a well placed shot, splitting the hollow in two. She looked down at her son and told him that from now on they would have to start training him in the ways of the Quincy. Kyu then began to yell at Toshioni until she ended by stating that he was grounded from everything until she determined he was responsible enough to be trusted.
Part IV-Training and Teen Years (12-14)
Kyu trained Toshioni primarily on accuracy, stating that if he could place his shot right, it would only take one of two arrows to kill anything he should encounter. Thus, they began rigorous practice with traditional bow and arrows until Toshioni could properly maintain his Quincy bow. The bow was different from that of his mother or his father in its orientation. After Toshioni was able to materialize it, it would orientate itself horizontally.
Kyu did not have the patience nor the skill to teach her son to use Ginto. Instead they moved to Hirenkyaku. While he didn't have her natural talent at it, Toshioni showed signs of promise, if anything. It was in his independent studies that he truly excelled. He trained himself in hand to hand combat, along with swordsmanship. His mother gave him a lone Seele Schneider to practice his new love of swordsmanship with.
During this time, he began to change in his personality. He moved from the sullen child to the class clown. He did this to mask the pain he still felt for the death of his father. He also vowed never to begin a fight against another human being, as he had unfair advantages in the department. Toshioni began to wear his cross on his wrist as well as develop his new taste in clothing.
Part V-Present
Now, Toshioni has fully became the class clown and trickster that has become an intrinsic trait of his. He lives more of his life alone now, as his mother is still taking as much work as possible. He often goes out and looks for people to meet and ladies to draw, often getting smacked and once even sprayed with mace. He doesn't fulfill a role as a full-fledged Quincy, as he doesn't hunt hollows. Unless they are endangering humans or spirits, he tends to simply ignore them.
Part VI-Exposure to Arrancars, Vizards, and other Quincy
Toshioni began to get out an about. He met a girl whose name he couldn't get. She had left a lasting impression on him. He had begun to fixate on her and didn't flirt as much with other girls. He also made somewhat of a friend in Mikhail when he met him atop the school that one time. They had talked and shared things. He didn't know that he was a Quincy. But, then again, no one did. Yet.
He had wondered into a park during the winter. He had met his first Arrancar. It was not a pleasant meeting which resulted in a rather large fight. When the Arrancar used his ressurecion the fight was sealed. He would have defeated were it not for Hachi appearing. The Vizard saved him and would have defeated him if Hatter had not shown up and saved Xuan. The Vizard healed his ankle and left a lasting impression that Vizards were good always in Toshioni's mind. Xuan left a broken sense of confidence within Toshioni that was unparalleled. He began to doubt his purpose as a Quincy or even his strength.
One day during lunch, he wandered up to the roof. A Vizard met him there and caused a confrontation that broke the image of good Vizards within Toshioni's mind. He then went on to tell him that the Quincy were whipped out by the Shinigami. The young Quincy was further doubting his utility until Roy Dylandy arrived. The school counselor turned out to be a Quincy himself who discouraged Ikatsui and was rather nice to Toshioni.
The two then met in a parent teacher meeting with Toshioni's mother. In this meeting, Roy decided to take the younger Quincy under his wing. This would involve training him in both Quincy techniques and Quincy history. It would also help to restore his confidence if done correctly. Toshioni has since been in anxiety over training with Roy.

Origin of Powers
Toshioni has unevenly grown in spiritual pressure since he was born, as both his parents were Quincies. It grew at a more rapid pace after the death of his father and his exposure to hollow-combat. The greatest increase was when he was at the spot where his father had died and became reishi. Here, he gained enough reiastu to maintain a bow (at least for one arrow).
Since then, he has been growing at a slow but steady pace. His training with his mother and his independent practice have allowed his abilities to continue to improve, but not specifically flourish. Toshioni continues to work to increase his reiastu and his control over it, but with no explosion of newfound power. Just subtle increases here and there.
Quincy Cross
(Except silver)
Toshioni's Quincy cross is his father's old one. It is a silver Tri-pointed star. Each of it's points extend only an inch from the central point. It is worn on a small silver chain that Toshioni uses to keep it on his wrist. It glows a dim blue when used to produce the Quincy bow of Toshioni.
Quincy Bow
Mürrisch Narr (Sullen Jester)
Toshioni's bow takes the form of a composite longbow. It is a translucent spirit bow with a darker blue tint and is orientated horizontally. Its span is six feet from end to end. The indented section accounts for a half a foot of this span, leaving two and three-quarter feet on each side of the indentation. The bow has a thin string of reishi (resembling a traditional bow's string) that runs from end to end. In a traditional fashion, Toshioni fires arrows from this string.
Throughout his exploits he has gained some manner of control over his reiastu. Now he can fire roughly 200 arrows before losing control of his bow. As a result, he no longer has to keep a very strict count on the number of arrows he has left. However, once he runs out he is completely drained and cannot even fight in hand to hand or with his Seele Schneider.
Other Quincy Items
Toshioni always finds a way to carry his lone Seele Schneider with him. He generally slips in into his back right pocket and doesn't acknowledge it if he can help it. His bracelet also holds three Ginto containers, although he has no clue how to use them. He would most likely through them at something before he learned how to use an actual spell from them.

The bell was ringing for class, ending lunch break. But, none of that really mattered to Toshioni. He was sitting up in his favorite tree, drawing a particularly beautiful girl in his homeroom class. The more he drew, the deeper his frown seemed to be. He couldn't quite get the shape of the face right.
He closed his eyes and focused intently on remembering her, unfortunately, he had never really concentrated at looking at her face. Toshioni bit the eraser of his pencil, and opened his eyes, at looked down at his paper. He decided to ignore the face and continue working on what he knew best.
After roughly fifteen minutes of drawing, Toshioni decided he had an adequate depiction of the girl. He would go show her and she would fall in love with him. Because, after all, he was charming and very attractive. Tucking his sketch pad in his satchel that looked like something paper boys used to carry their newspaper, he slid down to the ground, falling a considerable distance as he did.
Toshioni ended up in a crouched position after hitting the ground. In a sort of clumsy grace he stood up and began to walk towards the school. As he began to climb the stairs to get to the floor where she would be having class. It would be...second? No third. He would go to third floor.
As he walked down the third floor hallway a janitor called to him that he should get to class, but he disregarded it. The janitor was obviously jealous of his smoldering good looks. Toshioni would let it slide, because he felt bad for the poor old guy. He found room 3-4 and entered not so quietly.
"I don't mean to interrupt class, Mr. Teacher Man, but this is a matter of life and death. It's a matter of love." Finding the girl who he had drawn earlier that day, he slid to be crouched down very close to her. "Look, I was so infatuated with you today that I drew you. I drew you in what I think you should wear, to my house, sometime later tonight. Here, I'll let you look."
Toshioni took out his sketch pad and showed the girl how he had drawn her. She obviously wasn't amused that he had forgotten to give her a face in the picture...or clothes for that matter. She proceeded to attempt to slap him, but he was able to dodge out of the way. Toshioni lost his balance trying to dodge and his face smacked into a desk. He then got up and left, ignoring the teacher's yellings of detention and possibly suspension.
Toshioni lived in detention.
