General Information
--------------------
Name: Mizuki O'Brien
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance
Mizuki has long wavy, crimson red hair that is usually up in a bun or high pony-tail. Sometimes she wears it down, but it is usually on the days that she is down herself. Her eyes are a conflicting blue, but as such, they stand out a lot. She looks to be around 5 feet 4 inches and probably weighs roughly 110 pounds. She has fair skin and is quite skinny for her age, except her legs. Her bust is very small, holding wee a-cups.
When not in school, Mizuki wears dark blue skinny jeans along with v-neck gray and white shirts. On top of that, depending on the weather, she will wear a black, zip-up hoodie that's kinda loose. While it is summer time, and it is very hot, Mizuki wears gym shorts that are a third of the way down her thigh. She also wears a white tank top, sometimes a black one. Her style is tomboyish mainly. She wears a lot of jeans and guy type shirts, except in the summer.
Around her neck, she wears two necklaces, one is a thin black choker, the other is an amulet that has a quarter moon at the bottom. She wears two bracelets all the time, they both have moons that follow the moon's phases. She wears three different pairs of ear rings. The first, her favorite, has a quarter moon that is a dangling pair. The second, her formal pair, are white gold ear rings with sapphire gems in it. The third, her everyday pair, are golden star shaped ear rings.
Personality
Mizuki is quite a serious person, when it comes to people making fun of her family. She could honestly care less about her so-called friends, except her closest friends. Mizuki makes friends fairly easy, and usually sees a few of them as 'close' friends. When someone is a close friend to Mizuki, it is usually due to her trusting them, having some things in common with them, and if she really likes them, as a friend.
Mizuki loves the night and dogs. She is just so entranced by the moon and stars. She loves watching the night sky, more than anything, even more than dogs. As for her love for dogs, she thinks dogs and puppies are the cutest of all animals. She would do anything to help out a dog or puppy, even if it meant going out of her way to feed it, or find it a good home.
Mizuki loves to laugh, at almost anything, except jokes made towards her family of course. She laughs about what anyone and everyone says about her, she knows what's true, that's how she can laugh about it. When it comes down to a serious matter, she can joke around quite a bit, until she switches over. In a way, she is bipolar, going from having fun to being pissed off in a matter of seconds. When this happens, she doesn't like to be bothered by anyone, and will, more than likely, kick someones teeth in. The only way to calm her down really, is by cracking a joke about her that is extremely funny.
When in a fight, Mizuki is always pissed off. Not even making a joke can change this, but that is because she just gets so focused that she just can't hear or think anything else but THAT fight. Once that fight ends though, she goes back to her normal laughy self. If she lost, however, she remains mad and upset until; one, she rematches them and wins, or two, she completely forgets about it. Either way, she is a sore loser, even when she loses a simple foot race she gets mad! The one thing that has always soothed her is the moon. Hell, she gets mad when she isn't able to look at the night sky. Although, whenever she does, there isn't a thing in the world that could get to her while she gazes at the sky.
Mizuki has grown a bit, and as such has became interested in males. This was brought on by an encounter with a young quincy in Hueco Mundo, and slowly progressed after meeting another young man. She has a hard time deciding between the sweet loving type and the angry pushy type. Between these two, Mizuki finds herself going one of two ways. One, she becomes a nice little girl, and teases as such. Or, two, she lets her inner red head out, and this means the angry red head that yells and gets pissed. This is dependent on the person she is around.
History
Although Mizuki was born in Japan, her mother and father came from Ireland. Instead of giving her an Irish name, they decided to give her the name 'Mizuki' due to the fact that she was born at midnight on a full moon. Everyday, after she was born, the night made her smile, even if she was crying nonstop, the night would make her so happy that she had to stop just so she can watch the night sky. Her parents wanted her to fit in also, that is another reason why they gave her her name. Her parents decided to get her a crib mobile that had stars and the moon on it, and Mizuki loved it! She would be excited to go to bed then.
At the age of five, Mizuki's parents enrolled her in a kickboxing class, where she excelled. Her parents wanted her to be strong. Right after school Mizuki's parents would take her to her kickboxing class, and there she would kick box all the other kids in her class, and win most of the time. Very few times did she lose, but when she did she would be so upset when her parents picked her up. After she was picked up, her parents would ask her, "What's wrong Mizuki? Didn't you have fun?" She would shake her head no and say nothing, as if she had disappointed them. She would sit out on an old swing on those nights to calm herself and forget about it. The next day, she would go back, and win against the person she lost against.
When Mizuki turned eight, her father began teaching her to Bataireacht. She had a rough time learning, but eventually caught on. She used her kickboxing with the Irish stick fighting when she was practicing with her dad, and yet she still failed. She never once beat her dad in Irish stick fighting, then again, he had been doing it all his life. One day, Mizuki had brought her shillelagh to school, which was not a good idea. She was caught beating a kid up in school with it, and her only excuse was that they were playing, even though the kid clearly had bruises from the shillelagh. Mizuki was expelled, and at that point her parents knew they had to do something, so they moved to Karakura Town.
Upon arrival at Karakura Town, Mizuki noticed something strange about the town, something felt off. Because of what had happened before, Mizuki's parents home schooled her until she was older. During this time, Mizuki was put through some intense training from her father. She was pushed so hard that she broke a few bones. Among these bones, her radius and ulna one time, and the humerus a different time. Due to this Mizuki has become ambidextrous, being able to use her left hand for fighting as well as her right.
Around the age of thirteen, Mizuki's parents sent her back to school. It took a few weeks, due to Mizuki being expelled earlier on. In school, she made friends quickly and started to hang out with more people after her kickboxing class. One day, Mizuki was spending time with her new found close friend, Adalbrecht, when they were attacked by a hollow. Mizuki couldn't see it, nor could she hear it, but she felt it, and got knocked out by it. When she awoke, Adalbrecht was sitting next to her, and she was in a hospital bed. "Why am I here Adal?" No words came from the young boy as he got up and walked out, and that was the second to last time Mizuki seen him.
After two years, when Mizuki was a freshman in high school, she was walking home from kick boxing class when she saw a young girl getting chased by a hollow! Mizuki wondered what the hell that thing (hollow) was. She couldn't stop and think, she had to do something! She ran at the hollow, and jumped as if to kick it. The hollow avoided the attempted kick and readied for an attack. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a blue arrow, that crushed the hollow's mask. She looked for the origin of the arrow and saw her old friend Adalbrecht! She ran over to him and he spoke a few words before walking off. "Seek me out after a couple of years, you'll know where."
Another year passed and Mizuki found hidden deep withing her, that there were powers, granted from the moon, or at least that's how it seemed. She first noticed the powers when she was attacked by a hollow again and she fought back. She didn't realize, at first, that she had used powers until she was found by her future sensei. This man, who happened to be one of her new teachers that had just started teaching, was a bit strange. He stood at about 5'11" and was a skinny man. The man talked to Mizuki, until she finally did trust him, and started to learn how to use her powers
After training for months, she was able to use her powers to kill hollows and save some souls in the process. Her sensei taught her what he believed she needed to know about hollows. How they think, act, sound, even what they smell like! She became a hollow hunter, hunting hollows in her spare time. After another month, she was visiting him and he gave her a specialized shillelagh, which she took with her everywhere, except school, and cherished. A few days later, she went back for another lesson from her sensei, and found him dead, killed by a hollow. Mizuki swore vengeance for her sensei that day.
After a year of hunting hollows, Mizuki had her main abilities down, not perfect, but as good as she thought she could get them. Mizuki came upon an extremely powerful hollow. After it pinned her down, it told her that she smelled kinda like a soul that he devoured a year back. Hearing this threw Mizuki into a rage! She kicked the hollow off of her, and unleashed a wrath like no other, one that she didn't even know existed! She crushed the hollow's mask with her specially made shillelagh, killing it and avenging her former sensei. Mizuki was finally at peace, but she continued to find and kill hollows.
A few different things have happened since we left off. Lets start with number one; Mizuki ends up going to Hueco Mundo by some sort of "ticket". While there she meets a young quincy named Toshioni, along with a few other people, who aren't so important at the moment. While there, they got split up from the rest of the group, and had to fight some hollows. As they fought, Mizuki could no longer hold her own, seeing as she is a human that's not use to the stress on her body. The young quincy, Toshioni, stepped in to help her. As he aimed at the last hollow, Mizuki gave him a kiss good luck on the cheek, which, in turn, helped him hit the hollow dead on. After this, they found their way home.
After being home for a bit, Mizuki was out walking home one night when she heard something on a nearby room. Upon inspection, she found a tagger tagging the billboard on the building. She made a bit of a ruckus, causing a policeman to come up and see what was going on. At this point, they bailed, her and the tagger. They ran and ran, and as they did, it began to rain on them, just great. Mizuki lead the tagger to her house, where they would stay the night. Mizuki would come to find out the young man's name to be Neko. As the night progressed, Mizuki tried giving Neko a kiss, something he did not like, along with sleeping next to him after he passed out. The morning after, he woke up pissed, and took off. This was just a bad night.
That day, Mizuki went to the mall, to try to get stuff to fix her room. Of course she would run into someone she knew, but it happened to be Toshioni. They talked about the time they had in Hueco Mundo, along with remembering they were gonna have a date. Which, they ended having later that evening. On their date, Mizuki ran into, none other than, Neko, who began flipping shit towards Mizuki. This caused Mizuki to run outside and sit all alone. Her upset mood attracted a hollow, who in turn, hurt her badly. Threw her around a bit, but then she was saved by one Neko Catman! Who ended up taking an arrow and passing out as EMT's arrived on the scene.
After being in the hospital for some time, Mizuki woke up. Her mom was there and all was good, but then, Neko came in, shouting at the two. This turned into a small argument between the two, and ended them falling asleep next to one another. This didn't sit well with Neko, once he woke up. He yelled and did his normal reaction to her, and as he did, Toshioni walked through the door. He was devastated. He left the room, and the crippled Mizuki followed. Neko then proceeded to destroy the room, along with the window. Mizuki called to Toshioni, in doing so caused herself to fall. Toshioni caught her just in the nick of time, and took her back to her destroyed room. Neko fled the scene, and Mizuki was given a new room.
Roughly a week after this happened, Mizuki was ready to leave the hospital with one broken arm, when Toshioni came in. He asked her about the things he saw, and she responded appropriately. Eventually they would work things out, but for now, Mizuki would go home.

Spiritual Awakening
When Mizuki was thirteen, she started to hang out with a young German boy, Adalbretch, who happened to be a Quincy with enormous reishi. His reishi affected Mizuki to the point where she could see the shapes of hollows. Over the span of a couple of years, this small amount expanded itself in her, making her own reishi become higher, thusly allowing her to see spirits and hollow alike. Once she saw both kinds of spirits, hollow and human spirits, she began to understand the way the world around her worked. She didn't know about any other types of spirits looked like or are even called.
Discovery of Powers
Mizuki found her powers one day after fighting a hollow and being found by her sensei. She had released a beam like kick to kill the hollow. It looked to be the same color as the moon. Mizuki's power does come from the moon for the most part, except her actual reishi, which began from her being around her old friend, Adalbrecht. Her future sensei watched the entire fight, and came to her after she had won. The man that had eventually became her sensei then began to mold her like human clay, and show her how to hunt hollows. After a while, her sensei was killed by a hollow and she swore vengeance. Her powers were at a good level at this point, but she could still use some more training.
Abilities Description
Mizuki's powers revolve around the moon. All of them have some sort of relation to the moon. Of course, she has to create each different attack by making a moon shape, either crescent, full, or half, or even none. It takes a few seconds to activate each effect. Her powers are normally stronger in the moon-light, and during the day, she has reserve power from the night before, but she is weaker during the day. This is only noticeable if one fights her during the day and at night. At night she is at her full potential, while during the day she is at half her potential. During a lunar eclipse, she is only at an eighth of her full potential. In essence, if she were fighting during the day she would be one tier lower. During a lunar eclipse, she is around three tiers lower.
Other Specialty Items
Specialized Shillelagh - This is a specialized shillelagh that had been presented to Mizuki by her former sensei. On the handle, it has a double strip of stars, going from the bottom up next to one another, going around the handle twice. The part that is used for hitting, has a crescent moon going from the handle to the the front part of the handle under the hitting part. It's a bit smaller than the average baseball bat.

Abilities, First Stage
--------------------
Arata Hisakata Barrier (New Moon)
- Description of Attack -Mizuki holds her arms straight out to the sides. She turns in a complete circle, making a blue circle around herself. This then becomes a blackish blue sphere that completely covers Mizuki, from all sides. She is immobile, and can't strike unless she drops the barrier. It looks as if it could replace an actual new moon, which isn't actually seen in the night sky, although this does not mean that she can become invisible with this. Mizuki can see out of it, and others can see in. It is a perfect sphere, with the diameter being five feet five inches.
- Type - Defensive
- Range -Self
- Limitation -This ability has a constant drain of energy of 5% for each second that it is held. Tiers of two below her cannot break through this barrier, while tiers one below her can break through, although it takes a considerable amount of energy. Those of her tier can break through with the same amount of energy Mizuki uses, meaning that 5% power can break it, for those her tier. For those of tier one higher and more, a simple physical strike can burst the barrier.
Wangetsu Shichiyou Blade (Crescent Moon)
- Description of Attack -Mizuki creates a blue crescent moon shape blade with her two fingers, which is then used to to throw at the opponent. It is an energy-based projectile, that can cut on contact, of course, Mizuki can not be cut by it herself. When thrown, it looks like a boomerang, and spins thusly, but does not come back to her. Instead, it disappears after it makes contact with the surface of an object that is around its shape. It is roughly 50 cm from end to end, and about 10 cm wide, at the center, which is the widest point.
- Type -Projectile
- Range -10m
- Limitation -When this crescent moon blade comes in contact with an actual surface, i.e. a wall, tree, building, etc. it disappears. Just vanishes really. If it were to come in contact with a sword, it would more than likely be deflected, depending on the tier level of the opponent. Tiers below Mizuki have a hard time blocking this attack, avoiding it would be the best option, although, it flies at about half a meter per second. If a tier below did try to block, more than likely it would keep going, maybe having the possibility of cutting their arm or something to that effect. Those of her tier can deflect the blade, with some difficulties, and could avoid it with no problem. Those of higher tier can either cut right through it and make it dissipate, completely deflect it or even step to the side to avoid it. This move takes about 5% of her reishi also.
Fukuyoka Hisakata Blast (Full Moon)
- Description of Attack -With her two fingers Mizuki creates a circle that charges, and fires a great beam at the opponent. This beam appears to be a very bright white with a blueish tint. This beam can vary, depending on the size of the circle Mizuki makes, between 1 meter wide and about 2 meters far, up to 2 and a half meters wide and about 7 and half meters far.
- Type -Offensive
- Range -2-7.5m
- Limitation -Depending on the size, depends on how much reishi it requires. At the smallest, 1 meter by 2 metes, it takes 5%. For every 1 meter after it takes an additional 5%, making the largest that about 35% of her power, close to one third of her power. The regular charge time for this attack is about 10 seconds at night and 20 seconds during the day.
This attack moves faster at night moving at about 1 meter per 5 seconds, while during the day it moves at about 1 meter per 10 seconds. She can fire off two maybe three before getting exhausted, and she can only fire these while both feet are firmly on the ground. This attack does half the damage it would normally do during the day than at night. Burn damage looks as if it were a bruise from a hollow, and feels like a bruise as well.
Tiers below have difficulty avoiding this move, where as they couldn't block this move very well. They could block it, but it would end up creating burn damage on them. Tiers of her level can block this move a bit easier, although it has a possibility of the burn damage. Avoiding this blast would be easier. Those of higher tier can block, even deflect the attack. Dodging it would be to easy for someone of higher tier.

Mizuki walked into an abandoned building and looked around, as if she was looking for something, or someone. She put her hands to her mouth, as to echo the sound of her voice, and yelled out, "Adal! Are you here!?" For about thirty seconds, her voice echoed through the building. After about a minute, a man walks out with dark blue hair, wearing an all black suit. His hair was partially in his face.
"So you have finally come here Mizuki... It has been years, and I was beginning to think that you weren't gonna come." The man looked up to reveal his face. He walked over to Mizuki and patted her on the shoulder. "I need you to do something for me... You see, I must go, away from Karakura. Deliver this for me." Adal handed Mizuki a box. On it, it had the address of where it was to be delivered. Adal turned and walked off, disappearing into the darkness of the abandoned building.
"Adal...." Mizuki took the box. She felt hurt, this being the first time in a long time to see him, and it was gonna be the last as well! A few tears rolled down Mizuki's cheeks. She pulled the tie out of her hair to let her hair down. She left the building and started to walk off towards the address on the box. Along the way, Mizuki stopped. Her curiosity was peaked and she wanted to know what was in the box. She slowly opened it up, and inside was a letter, addressed to Mizuki.
Knowing that Mizuki would open the box Adal put that letter in there, wanting her to read it. It explained everything to Mizuki, everything about the Quincy, why Adal was really leaving, why Mizuki came upon some sort of powers to begin with. Mizuki started to cry then rubbed her face with the sleeve of her hoodie. Mizuki started to walk home. She stuffed the letter into her hoodie pocket and tossed the empty box aside. It was now starting to get dark, and Mizuki could see the moon coming out.
She stopped once again and watched the moon for a moment. Everyone she had ever become close to, either left or was killed. The only ones that were still alive, was Mizuki's parents, or at least they would be for years to come. Mizuki was starting to calm down from the moon. She knew that she could not always have someone she was close to around. She decided to let the world flow how it wanted to, knowing that nothing she could do could change it.
Mizuki continued on her way home. She knew that there were two loving people waiting for her to get home, and if she got there to late they wouldn't be to loving for to long. Mizuki started to run to get home quickly. She finally made it home and went to her old swing in the back. She swung on it a little bit while watching the moon and the stars. Even though her old friend had came back, he was leaving again, and yet, Mizuki felt at peace. Eventually her friend would come back, when is something unknown, it even said so in the letter from Adal. They would meet again, but when and where is unknown.
