With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
A few days since Seiji's little "celebration" as he was promoted to fifth seat. He had a little conflict with one of Kimiko's friends, Hisashi, to be more precise. After the words they exchanged, Seiji began to think about them, and they hurt him deeply. Instead of confronting this issue, he decided to talk to a "friend". Someone who was there for him, and offered no words in return, just listening to his problems.
This "friend" was actually a little plant, that was given to him by another friend. This plant was a way for Seiji to calm himself, and talk without any negativity. So, this was what he was going to do.
Seiji walked into the garden area where the plant was. As he approached his plant, he sighed heavily.
"Y'know, the nerve of some people. Telling me what is what, even though I know how things go." Seiji chuckled slightly.
He set his zanpaktou down in front of the plant as he climbed a small tree behind it.
"Kimiko wouldn't side with him, would she?" Seiji looked down for a second. "You're right! That's my thoughts on it! Crazy world... Maybe it is just me though..." Seiji enjoyed ranting on about nonsense.

Masanori wiped his forehead on his sleeve and looked up at the sky. It had been a busy day for him with Captain Rounin calling on him.
"Hey you, what's your name again, oh yeah you're that unlucky guy. Here, see that these things get done would ya, black cat?"
"My name's Masanori, Rounin Taicho."
"Whatever..."
She'd handed him a list and went on her way. Masanori scratched his head and shrugged. Eager to help out his Captain, he'd done everything from laundry and taking out the garbage, to cleaning the barracks and picking up supplies in the Rukongai. Now he found himself tending in the garden with a hoe in hand, looking up at the sky when he thought he heard a voice.
"...Kimiko wouldn't side with him, would she?... You're right! That's my thoughts on it! Crazy world... Maybe it is just me though..."
Carefully laying the hoe down he walked over towards a tree and peered around it looking for the source of the voice. He put his hands on the tree as he peeked around it but there was no one there. He was sure he heard a voice though.

Vergil Akuma turned out to be ever higher in that tree. He had been drinking there with a little jug of some sort of alcoholic drink. He didn't really ask the person he procured it from what it was. Hell... he could have very well been drugged. He had passed out after only a few chugs from the jug after all. The noise of someone kinda bothered him and he kinda rolled a bit which caused the jug he had been drinking from to plummet down below. "Dirty... monkeys..." Was all he said to even allow for any seeing of what he was dreaming of at the time. He continued to roll and would have fallen off too if the sensation that he might have fallen hadn't woke him up just in time to catch himself.
He reset himself and stretched, following that with rubbing his eyes. "Jeez what the hell happened? Must have gotten too relaxed," he yawned to himself. Other than waking up he didn't really have any signs of possible foul play. Which was good he supposed. He then searched around for the jug but, to no avail. He simply shrugged thinking it must have fallen. It was strangely cheap, which was... weird now that he thought about it. They were practically giving them away... oh well best not look a gift horse in the mouth. He then suddenly heard more talking... below him? The fuck was going on. He looked downward to see a guy with a plant. He searched for more people he could be talking to but, there was no one.
"An people think I'm crazy," said by no other than the Shinigami with split personalities Vergil Akuma.
Seiji heard some light rustling above him. As he looked up something came falling at him, smacking him right in between the eyes. After this happened, it rolled off of Seiji's face and fell towards the ground, but this wasn't the only thing that fell. Seiji went hurdling towards the ground as well, landing on his face right in front of the young man Masanori.
Suddenly, Seiji popped up, back to Masanori and began looking around, making sure no one saw him. When he figured the coast was clear, he exhaled deeply. After this, he turned and saw the young man there looking for the one who was talking, and he had found him, that was for sure.
"Tch! I-I didn't think anyone was here! I, uh, was trying to find my, uhm, thing... Wait a minute..." Before continuing Seiji began to inspect this young man in front of him. He looked very familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere... That's it! He seen him that one day when he played chess against Kimiko!
"I know you! Well, kinda, I mean, I know of you, and I'm not a fan of one of your friends..." Seiji rubbed his chin and thought about the conniving Hisashi. Man did he hate him...
Then Seiji heard some more rustling in the tree. What could it be? He looked up and saw a man stretching and waking up. Wait a minute... Was he sleeping in that tree?! That was suppose to be Seiji's job! Well, not really, just sometimes he liked to do so. This man began to speak after a short moment, referring to Seiji talking to the plant.
"An people think I'm crazy,"
"'ey! What is that suppose to mean, eh?" Seiji said while shaking his fist in a somewhat comical manner with a small vein popping on his forehead.

There was quite a bit of rustling going on above him and as Masanori took a step back and looked up, a jug of something fell down and hit him on the head.
"Yeouch!" Masanori yelped, that smarted, but if that wasn't enough as he reached up to rub his face a whole body fell down in front of him and startled him. "Wha!?"
Masanori backpeddled away from the body and sure enough, his foot landed on the end of the hoe and flipped it up to hit him in the back of the head. He fell forward spawled onto his hands and knees and rolled over with his eyes squeezed shut from the pain.
"Tch! I-I didn't think anyone was here! I, uh, was trying to find my, uhm, thing... Wait a minute... I know you! Well kinda, I mean, I know of you, and I'm not a fan of one of your friends..." Seiji was staring at Masanori when he opened his eyes and Masanori kinda heard what he said through the ringing.
"Ow, huh?... You know me? Wait..." Masanori had this kinda confused look on his face as he tried to think of who this was. Like the hamster had taken a break and the wheel wasn't turning.
There was another noise up in the tree. "An people think I'm crazy."
Seiji turned and was shaking his fist up into the tree. "Ey! What is that suppose to mean, eh?" After a moment Masanori realized that there was yet another person higher up in the tree. He smiled weakly and blinked raising a hand.
"Hey,... Why are all you guys in the tree? Are there more of you up there?" Masanori started looking around the garden wondering if more people were gonna fall out of the trees.

Vergil just watched as the commotion went on down below. How boring, there was no need to really do anything and it wasn't like they had talked to him at all. This was short lived as they both asked questions directed at him. Now where was that jug? Oh well it seemed lost at thee moment. "To answer your question it means people think I'm crazy but, I'm not the one who talks to plants so I find it a little ironic that I'm the crazy one," he said shrugging. These two were odd characters that was for sure. One was talking to plants and falling out of trees, not to mention he was very cartoonish with his hand gestures. Then there was the other one, a seemingly complete clux that was easily surprised by the appearance of people. Was he even trained in sensing reiastu?
Oh well it was about time he answered the other lingering question. Hmm, why was he up in the tree, he just sort of blacked out is all. "I was just trying to take a nap," he lied. "An this guy was busy sucking on his green thumb trying to help his plant grow I guess." He assumed, not like he knew the guy. He then looked the two over again and frowned. "You know you guys didn't need to cause too much racket, I could have slept a little bit longer," He said shrugging. Oh well, it was all in the past now.
Seiji looked at the young man that had the "nobody's home" look. Was he away? Or could he just simply not remember that day him and Hisashi walked past Seiji as he went to play a round of chess against Kimiko? Seiji would have to remind him of this.
"Yeah, it was a while back and you walked past me with Hisashi after he beat her in chess. That and Kimiko talks about you from time to time." Seiji offered a slight smile at this. Then the man in the tree decided to speak up.
"To answer your question it means people think I'm crazy but, I'm not the one who talks to plants so I find it a little ironic that I'm the crazy one,"
"Hey,... Why are all you guys in the tree? Are there more of you up there?"
"I was just trying to take a nap, An this guy was busy sucking on his green thumb trying to help his plant grow I guess. You know you guys didn't need to cause too much racket, I could have slept a little bit longer,"
"I was up there trying to take a short nap when your jug fell on me! And I don't have a green thumb, I'm actually new at this whole plant thing." Seiji looked over to the young man then back up in the tree. "If your jug wouldn't have fallen, I wouldn't have made any racket at all. I'm just saying." Seiji said as he crossed his arms.

Masanori's head still hurt even as Seiji explained how they had met or heard about each other.
"Yeah it was a while back and you walked past me with Hisashi after he beat her in chess. That and Kimiko talks about you from time to time."
He had a quick flashback moment of walking past Seiji as he explained it and nodded with recognition.
"Oh yeah, um, Seiji right? Now I remember. Kimiko talks about you too. So, not a fan of Hisashi huh? Yeah, he's uhh, complicated. I'm sure he says things sometimes he doesn't quite mean." Masanori rubbed the back of his head trying to explain away some of Hisashi's issues.
Masanori looked up at the other guy talking from his place in the tree.
"I was just trying to take a nap, An this guy was busy sucking on his green thumb trying to help his plant grow I guess."
"Why would you take a nap in the tree? Don't you have a bed?" Everybody had a bed in the barracks of each squad didn't they?
"...You know you guys didn't need to cause too much racket, I could have slept a little bit longer."
"Oh,... sorry." Masanori bowed his head apologetically.
"I was up there trying to take a short nap when your jug fell on me!..."
"Is that what that was?" Masanori asked remembering the slight pain as it bounced down through the branches to hit him as well.
"...And I don't have a green thumb, I'm actually new at this whole plant thing. If your jug wouldn't have fallen, I wouldn't have made any racket at all. I'm just saying."
Masanori looked back and forth then softly spoke on his own defense. "I was just doing some chores for Rounin Taicho..."

Clearly one of these guys was crazy and the other was just... not home. It was kinda of amusing... in a sad kinda way. They talked about some chess game or whatever, Vergil wasn't really listening or interested for that matter. Hm? Oh he was talking to him again, guess he should listen. His jug? He knew where it was!? "So you have seen my jug eh!? Well come on and spill it, where are you hiding it? Clearly it has you distraught." He said with a little bit of a coy smile. The other guy then chimed in about sleeping in the barracks. "Well... you see when your trying to get out of doing w-," he was interrupted himself. no need to give away that he was being lazy.
"Uh, well anyway don't need to apologize." He finished with a smile. The other guy continued to complain as Vergil just rolled his eyes, how annoying. I got hit! I got hit! Jeez what a crybaby. The other seemed to be trying to defend himself... hadn't he just said it was fine? Oh well, all that was in the past now. "Rounin Taicho huh? Bet you feel really good right now huh? A captain having the trust and faith in you to do errands. What an honor," He was half mocking him with his comment. Oh well, he would do the work and be marked as a workhorse. That was his life not Vergil's though... Hitsugaya would probably be mad at him for lounging out here...
"Oh yeah, um, Seiji right? Now I remember. Kimiko talks about you too. So, not a fan of Hisashi huh? Yeah, he's uhh, complicated. I'm sure he says things sometimes he doesn't quite mean."
Is that really what he believed? How could he for that matter? Hisashi thought deeply about what he said, from what Seiji has seen, so this could not be true. But, Masanori seemed like a simpleton, from what Seiji could tell. Seiji would have to tread lightly, otherwise he might end up in hot water. Seiji kept this in the back of his mind.
"I'm sure he does. He said some hurtful things the other night that I'm not sure he really meant." Seiji rubbed the back of his head.
"So you have seen my jug eh!? Well come on and spill it, where are you hiding it? Clearly it has you distraught."
Seiji picked up the jug and looked at it. What did he have in it? What could he possibly be hiding in that little jug? Something delectable, or so Seiji thought as he opened it up and took a wiff. Seiji quickly turned his nose away and closed it. Looking back up he held it out, as if offering it if he would come down from the tree.
"Well... you see when your trying to get out of doing w-,"
Oh, did Seiji know what he meant. Masanori, on the other hand, did not. Sleeping in the trees was a free feeling. Making them feel free of work, and Seiji knew how that worked a bit to well. It was like a past time for Seiji!
"Ah, I do see." Seiji grinned at the comment.
"I was just doing some chores for Rounin Taicho..."
"You take direct orders from Rounin Taicho? Why is that?" Seiji questioned as he turned to Masanori.
