With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
She smiled at him. That was really quite an odd feeling. Girls typically smacked him and ran off. However, Toshioni didn't know that this girl felt she was too old for him. After all, no girl was too old for Toshioni. He seduced cougars regularly. Okay, that was nowhere near true. However, the young Quincy liked to make believe. He did not know that the lady thought he was cute in the sense of a younger relative. That would've pissed him off.
The lady then told him that it was a nice day. What the hell? The weather?! Lame!!! Toshioni could've picked a better conversation topic than that. In fact, he already had. He would find a way to get a better conversation out of this lovely piece of ass. If it killed him.
"You're right. It really does make you appreciate our climate. However, I feel that weather doesn't make for very stimulating conversation. Were you planning to do some shopping today?"
"You're right. It really does make you appreciate our climate. However, I feel that weather doesn't make for very stimulating conversation. Were you planning to do some shopping today?"
Well, this kid obviously thought that she was some brain dead bimbo. How insulting! He probably thought he was being sly, or coy, and that changing the subject so subtly was brilliant.
Ugh, how cocky. Of course it wasn't right for her to judge so harshly inside of her head. She sweat dropped for a moment, before she actually thought about what he had said.
"Well, perhaps you could be right." she said, conceding a little bit.
When he asked her about shopping, she actually had to think. What did she come out for? Her thoughts again brought her to her cross.
"Uhm, yeah. Just for some summer clothes, and stuff. You know? Haha." she lied, and she felt it was rather sly and convincing.
"Uhm, yeah. Just for some summer clothes, and stuff. You know? Haha."
Toshioni gave her a slight nod. He noticed that she wasn't asking him anything about himself. Obviously she was playing hard to get. Toshioni could deal with that though; he was used to it. With a small adjustment, he was slumped down in the bench. This meant that his legs jutted out further into the sidewalk than before. He didn't know why girls liked this; he just knew that they did.
"Yeah, summer is bearing down on us right about now. It's unfortunate that it seems to fly by when autumn just seems to drag about like a dead horse. Eh, that's life I s'pose." With that, Toshioni did a small kip-up and landed on the sidewalk in front of her. Spinning around, he flashed her a large grin. "You know, sitting around is no fun. Let's go out and about. There's a whole world to see, after all."
She looked as he nodded at her and then slumped in the seat. She had a blank stare on her face as she wondered what the hell he was trying to do. He looked pretty stupid, and now his feet were even more out in the walkway. And it was her fault she had slipped? Ignorant little kid, blaming someone else for something that was obviously his fault.
"Yeah, summer is bearing down on us right about now. It's unfortunate that it seems to fly by when autumn just seems to drag about like a dead horse. Eh, that's life I s'pose." he said, in his little teen talk.
"Haha well that is true, however, I tend to enjoy the cold months, like winter. While summer is the bane of my existence." she sighed, and stared into the beautiful sky.
However, if snow was falling from the sky; the sky would look magnificent.
Spontaneously, the boy jumped up on the sidewalk and turned around to smile at her. Jeez. did he have ADD or something? But she couldn't help, but to smile back at him.
When he mentioned about walking around and seeing the world, she thought about it for a moment. After a brief moment, she smiled and shrugged.
"Eh, what the hell. You do only live once!" she said giggling, and then linked arms with the boy.
With that she stood up and linked arms with him. He only realized how short she was then. Damn, he had a foot on her; easily. He looked over at her and flashed a smaller smile. He started to take off at a leisurely pace. He did this because they were linked and her input was kind of necessary on their pace.
Looking up at the sky, he had no clue how to go about this. Yeah, he'd hit on a lot of girls but they usually just smacked him. It was crazy to think that this one, who was so much older, was actually consenting to going somewhere with him. Shit, what did he usually suggest? Coffee. He usually suggested coffee. However, he didn't think that would work on her. She seemed to like cold things. Plus, summer was bad coffee weather. When all options seemed cut off, Toshioni figured he might as well do what she wanted. After all, that's what guys typically did. He had done the leg work now it was time to just cool it.
"So, with there being a whole world to see, which part do you wish to see first?"
As they began walking, she looked up. And then thought for a moment. Well damn, she had to look pretty far up! She didn't notice that she was a dwarf compared to him, but she just laughed a little, under her breath. She looked up again, and this time noticed him smiling.
Was she giving him the wrong impression? She really wasn't interested in a younger man, especially since she could go to jail for it. He seemed nice enough, but that would be for girls around his age. She sighed, she really hoped he wasn't into her. Even though it was pretty flattering.
Together, linked, they walked at a medium pace. They weren't walking slow, yet the weren't speed walking. It was a great pace, and she looked over to see him looking at the sky. She briefly wondered what he could be thinking about, but gave up after that moment.
Interrupting her thoughts, he began to ask her a question.
"So, with there being a whole world to see, which part do you wish to see first?" he asked, rather sincerely.
She thought about it, even to the point of lifting her finger to her chin. What did she want to do? Shopping wouldn't be something he'd want to do.
"Hey, let's go to an amusement park!" she said, now exceedingly excited with the idea. Damn she was just so brilliant.
He saw the difference in their height when she really had to arc her neck to look up at him. It was at least a foot in between them which was quite unsettling. Shit, when she was falling she looked like twenty. Now she looked like an awkward thirteen year old. Not that he had anything wrong with thirteen year olds. Toshioni liked women of all ages.
She was obviously thinking hard about what to do. He knew that it was hard to pick out an activity. However, she seemed to have a good idea. An amusement park would be good. However, he didn't know where the nearest one was. Was it even in walking distance? Damn, that would mean they would have to drive if it wasn't? Looking at her, he wondered if she even had a car? Shit. Most people in Karakura didn't.
"An amusement park is a great idea. I don't think there's one in walking distance though."
Suddenly, the woman began to drag him along. It became apparent to Toshioni that they were going to be driving to wherever the nearest amusement park was. This might be nice. Was Toshioni going to try to put the moves on her? Most likely. After all, he had a reputation to uphold.
