With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Toshioni was walking about the town. The shops were a good place to meet people. He had run into a couple classmates already. However, he hadn't ran into the one he was after. That girl who occupied his thoughts from time to time. He didn't know what it was. She was so different. So much so that it pervaded him. He didn't know what it was; he wish he did.
Sitting on a bench, he watched the world go by. Tapping his knee he wondered if he would see her. Looking up, he saw the sun high in the sky. There was plenty of time left in the day. Maybe luck would smile on him. He certainly hoped it would.
Konan stretched as the sun shined over head. It was a beautiful day, but standing out in the sun, she came to realize that her head was growingly increasingly hotter. Damn black hair, why was she cursed with it?
She ran to get to the shade, when she felt her whole body lifting up. She gasped, and in that same second her face connected with the ground. Her Quincy cross skittered out of her shirt, as she groaned on the floor.
Looking around, she noted that it was a foot that had caused her to plummet.
"Hey now, that really hurt," she complained to the person, as she attempted to regain her composure and stand up.
The Young Quincy was just minding his own when a lady from out of nowhere ran and tripped over his outstretched foot. He only got a brief glance at her as she fell. Damn, time to get his groove back. Standing up he outstretched his hand to her. Thinking he might as well help up the lovely lady, he offered her a smile.
"Hey now, that really hurt,"
"Watch where you're going dear and we won't have this problem again. Come on now, let me at least help you up. Very least I can do."
Scanning her over quickly, Toshioni realized she was too old for him. She looked early twenties at least. Then again, it was modern times in which they lived. Girls went for younger guys all the time. Maybe that could play to his favor. Just maybe.
She noted that the man at least had some manners, as he smiled at her.
"Watch where you're going dear and we won't have this problem again. Come on now, let me at least help you up. Very least I can do."
At that she frowned a little. It wasn't completely her fault. The sun was practically frying her brain, was she supposed to be all calm about it?
"Well sorry! But, some people would've at least tucked their feet in." she said, defending herself.
As she got up, she took a closer look and noted that he was no 'man', but instead a boy. Well, that would explain it a lot easier. Kids these days didn't really care about, well, anything. She grimaced, and hoped he wasn't one of those kids that were drug lords.
"Well sorry! But, some people would've at least tucked their feet in."
He looked down at her and he felt a small frown spread across his face. Hot or not, she was not going to pin this on him. Helping her up, he gave her a better look over. No, she was not hot enough to let this slide. She needed to pay more attention and he was relaxing. Dammit, his life was hard.
"My feet were in the proper place dear. Please, don't try to pin this all on me."
The boy began to frown, and she sighed in frustration. Why did chivalry have to die? Ugh, it made life so hard. But, oh well. When life gives you trouble, step on it and eat pie!
Lost in her thoughts, she barely heard the little boy speak.
"My feet were in the proper place dear. Please, don't try to pin this all on me."
She felt her forehead crease in frustration. Wouldn't the kid admit that he was wrong, too? What was it with this generation, always had to be right.
"No one was trying to blame you, however, accept responsibility for your half of the fault. Jeez." she preached, a bit irritated by the kids attitude.
Seeing her get upset, Toshioni knew what it was. She had wanted to pin at least part of this on him. He wasn't going to have that, however. He had just been relaxing and having a good day when this random chick trips on his foot. Is it not the job of the one watching to watch out for obstacles? Yes, yes it is.
"No one was trying to blame you, however, accept responsibility for your half of the fault. Jeez."
With a small sigh the young Quincy knew she wasn't going to drop this. Damn, why did she have to be hot and a nuisance? Why could there never just be a hot, nice girl? Hot girls were always trouble. Damn damn damn. Putting on a smile, Toshioni figured he could bite the bullet. Hell, he might get to first base.
"You're right, I'm sorry. It was partly my fault. Here, take a load off. Sit with me maybe?"
She noticed the kid try to sigh quietly, but she was tired of the bickering. She wondered, momentarily, if she could form her bow and beat him with it. But she knew that if she could actually form the bow, she'd be a way better Quincy than she was.
Lost in her thoughts for a moment, she clutched at her Quincy cross. She needed to find someone to teach her the way of a Quincy.
"You're right, I'm sorry. It was partly my fault. Here, take a load off. Sit with me maybe?"
She released her cross and smiled, despite herself. Maybe the kid wasn't so bad, after all.
"Well, sure. Thanks!" she said, taking a 180 and plopping down on the bench.
Smiling a little, Toshioni saw her release her anger. That was good; she seemed to be in a better mood now. Damn, she seemed almost agreeable. Maybe not all hot girls were trouble. Maybe. He turned to her as she plopped down on the bench. Walking over, he slid into his seat a little more graciously.
Looking over at her, he thought about what to talk about. The weather? No that was dumb. Her day? Wait, that actually wasn't a bad idea. Toshioni would never have thought to asking her name. Getting information on ladies wasn't really his strong suit judging from past experiences.
"So ma'am, other than that nasty little incident, how has your day been?"
She noted, as he sat down, that he had a more...graceful air to him. Hopefully though, he wasn't one of those narcissist guys. Boy did they annoy her, but some of them could be fun.
She looked over, and he was looking at her too. The boy was kinda cute, but in the nephew, or son way.
"So ma'am, other than that nasty little incident, how has your day been?" he asked, kindly.
She smiled again except this time she was more at ease, and not tense.
"It's going pretty good, it's a beautiful day out! Not too hot, not too humid. Days like these make you appreciate Karakura." she mused, as she looked into the sky.
